what a rubbish place, urgently needs better management and security. All are unprofessional in every aspect of the work place. Always used to invite my friends there to have a good time but now ive had enough of putting money into their pockets for their terrible service and attitudes.

Steak Club … what a joke … awful food … medium rare steak came cremated … returned but rest of meal then stale …. Price deceiving having to pay for basics such as peas !!! Only one choice of steak … limited drinks …. Will not be using again…. Very disappointed

Having been here a number of times once again I took a party of friends to 'the cross'. Firstly upon arriving at rear carpark we were told to enter at the front and this had been policy since day one?? I have been there and always went the rear way with no problems never hearing the 'policy' of front door. Went in and logged no plate, proceeded to get drinks, friendly staff. Come @ 12.40am we decided to double up our drinks has we were told last orders at 1am. Bought our drinks then told out by 1am ????? Serve to 1am but out in garden at 1am ,if we'd known this we wouldnt have purchased more drinks to then have to go out in cold. So we followed orders and went outside, constantly being told 10mins to drink up,5 mins to drink up , door staff very pleasant . I asked for plastic glasses for undrunk pints, no plastic glasses supplied, we had no time to drink up, couldnt take glasses onto carpark (understandable) so 3 pints and a bottle of non alcohol went to waste, also a waste of @£12. One of the door supervisors ,the small Egyptian lad proceeded to tell us we had been told last orders was at one, I explained yes but not that we would be kicked out also at one!! I also explained that plastic glasses would be appropriate or at least signage to explain policies. One of my party did raise her voice in frustration at not being told of the 1am rule in which the door supervisor snatched her pint off her. If this is how k'ford or in fact any wetherspoons treats their customers then we certainly won't be back , our money would be deserved where we would be welcomed and not treated has idiots left to guess the 'rules'. I also will endeavour to contact manager/ess to outline the above, it's not a good practice to serve to one ,then kick customers out into garden in the cold involuntarily. They should make last orders at 12.30am and finish drinks by 12.45am if this is the case!!! But obviously all about grabbing the cash hut considering they had at least 8 door supervisors on they have to cover the cost somehow. Won't be returning .

Awful awful place very rude staff, freezing cold food, stale tasting sift and alcoholic drinks wouldn't return if I was paid for my weatherspoons themselves

We ordered our food my grandads didn't come we asked where it was we already eaten our meal by the time he's came. When it come it was a panini and it was burnt no tuna on it. Told the staff they said it didnt look right and she will get the manager. We waited ages for a manager to come over by this time my grandad ate his meal as he's diabetic and needed something to eat. The manager came she looked at said well you've ate it now what do u want me to do. No sorry or anything, no smile, very moody. We come here every Wednesday and there's been something wrong with the meals every time. This time we had to complain as it was that bad. Won't be coming here again. Very disappointing.

I have been visiting Kingswinford Whetherspoons since August 2020 (opening),the first thing I must say is despite the £2.5million investment, their biggest asset is the staff this includes but not limited to Adele, Antonio, Beth, Darnell, Devon, Gabby (boss), Gina, Joe, Olli, Sam supervisor (plus a few more), security team (Polish Tom, Vosso), despite drink circumstances the staff are friendly, courteous and polite. The food is excellent any issues your meal is immediately replaced (the staff ask you once or twice if all good after you have already paid and eating/ate); unlike some Whetherspoons the staff blend well into the local community and become friends of the local community. Not being a historian the place is modern but also a local museum with lots of pictures and artifacts (e.g. glass, Duncan Edwards footballer), despite it being a very busy Whetherspoons the staff always do their best to engage and please. It’s lovely to see both staff and security (contracted) engaging with customers. My orders include a double Absolut Vanilla Vodka with Pepsi max (£4.02), a double Bell’s with Pepsi Max (£3.05), San Miguel pint (£3.71), 11inch Cheesy garlic bread pizza (£5.11), so if you fancy a snack with your drink or a drink with a drink I would definitely recommend. In terms of the designated drivers there is a parking terminal on the car park but parking is free for so long if your register your car registration on one of the parking tablet computers locating inside the pub (there’s 2 to 4). In terms of smoking (for smokers) there are 2 to 4 heated tables in the garden that overlooks the ex-Santander or a none-heated shelter in the garden that overlooks Lloyds Bank. I thoroughly enjoy my engagement with the staff regardless of their position or rank. Toilets are regulary cleaned and checked (yes being a Wetherspoons none-disabled is upstairs)! Keep up the good work! See you within 1 to 7 days! xx

Visited today May 21st with my wife only two staff serving including the manager there was a long queue folk coming in off the street getting served straight away we ordered 2 meals and two drinks the place wasn't that busy inside 25 mins later still no meal people around us getting served meals before us do you get preference when ordering on the app I asked the waitress where our food was she replied we short staffed in the kitchen we have eaten here several times never had such poor service before half hour later still no food when food came out my all day brunch was just throwed on the plate bacon uncooked I asked for refund total shambles went to speak to manager I only had refund on my meal I want to know do people who order on the app get preferencial treatment not fair on people who ain't got the app certainly won't be visiting again anytime soon

This was our first visit to the cross. Unfortunatley 2 of our party of 3 ordered medium rare steaks and they both came to the table cold so were returned. One of the steaks came back fine the second one was rare so had to be returned again. Our friend ordered ham and eggs which was fine. Our waiter Darnell (I think) was excellent and very helpful. He did get free drinks for us but we didn't take him up on that offer as we had already ordered drinks and only had the one. nt a very experience for us

Called in here for a late lunch . Pub was very busy but I was served at the bar very quickly. I ordered our food…there was a “managers special” deal on….fish & chips for £3.99 or simple jalfrezi with chips or rice for the same price. It was delivered to our table by a very friendly & helpful member of staff name Alex….he was great & nothing was too much trouble despite the pub being very busy. Wetherspoons gets a bad press at times but we’ve never had any problems, there’s always a great choice of ales on & the food is good value too. The (mostly young )staff do a great job too even though most customers can’t even be bothered to use basic manners when their order is delivered . Good manners cost nothing!!

Clean establishment, friendly polite staff ,good cheap food good menu ,free parking. I highly recommend this spoons.

Will come here every now and again for breakfast. Good service and food is good value for money. Also been before on a Thursday evening and was pleasantly surprised with the curry, paid something like £9 for curry and a glass of wine, bargain!

It's a shame the cross gets slated on British news as the worst Wetherspoons. We live in Kingswinford and over the years it's gone from one pub to another. Flaming grill was the best for cheap food but when that closed Tim bought the listed building and did it up. It's 100 times better inside than ever it was. It's a busy social centre in the village, food is hit and miss, had some good and not so good meals. Drinks are cheaper than any other locally and it is always busy. Tables need a good wash down and the floor needs a good hoovering, staff are always pleasant and helpful and the toilets are the best in the area, some pub toilets are dire. It's warm on a cold day and has expansive seating outside. We've been to other Spoons throughout the UK and there are better but also a lot worse. We like it and will support it. Parking is an issue but you get 2 hours free at the Co-op across the road.

This is a great wetherspoon's nearly always full. services is great, food is great, beer's great, what's not to like?

Myself and two friends went for a catch up and decided to order quick bites as it was coming to lunch time. Myself and another ordered panini s, although my friend had been a couple of weeks ago and had a panini and it was tough and unable to cut and eat, but thought it was just one off. When ours arrived they too were hard and the bottom Was burnt. The fillings were tasteless and looked like they had been thrown together. When the waiter came to ask if all was ok before we could show him the panini s he had walked away. Very poor quality food pub being run by very young staff with little understanding of customer service.
