Love Westwood east. Been going here for over 10 years.

Always enjoy a meal here with family and now have introduced work colleagues to Tandori Weds. Gets very busy at weekends sometimes so service can be slower but it gives you a chance to chat and drink with friends.

Good food friendly staff only gripe would be the price is shooting up but that's in line with everything else these days I suppose

The food was ok, I really wanted to say that I would go back but we waited far too long for the food, was an hour and half between starter and main. I had Wednesday special, the menu says you can change the rice for a pound extra and change the sauce for £1.50, but I got charged full price for both, so nearly £4 each extra. 1x 5 course special, 1 X all you can eat weds special, 4 diet coke and the change to the sauce and rice £59.

Visited here for tandoori night. The food was delicious and a great price. The staff were friendly.

Quite frankly, I think you need some heaters in that restaurant because it is absolutely freezing. I was appalling with how cold it was do better

It was terrible To start the popperdoms was soft I asked them to change them and they did second ones was ok Main course it was a wednesday and they Had a special offer on a mix grill £15.95 The popperdoms Was included with a naan bread The mixed grill was one chicken leg one dry sheek kebab Two little pieces of lamb and Two little pieces of fish The sauce that came with it was a bhuna It was terrible Not been before and will not be going back

Excellent promotion on Wednesdays with their mixed grill deal which is superb value. The dishes were well presented and it good quality. The only thing they could do with leaving out is the fish pakora from the sizzler as it doesn't add anything to it. Service was good as can be expected so close to Christmas and the big parties taking place. It was a bit too noisy to enjoy the experience fully but it was that time of year. Would definitely go back.

Went for a family meal yesterday and everything was spot on. We were a big group (20!) and the food came out in good time and was absolutely delicious. I tried the butter chicken (still dreaming about it now), chicken tikka biryani and parathas and they were all cooked to perfection. They also made me a special jira/cumin rice on request which was really appreciated and again, delicious! Would just like to thank everyone for the fantastic food and first class service. You were all brilliant - so friendly and accommodating - and gave us a wonderfully memorable family reunion. We look forward to returning!

Having going to the Westwood East, for the £11;95 for 5 course meal,. I was disappointed as the Popadoms were stale and had to be sent back, maybe they was left over from the night before,, Startes Mixed Stir fry was ok. The Chicken Chilli dish was too salty, the waiter did say he would make me something else which was kind of him I refused as it wasn’t his fault I chose the wrong meal, I couldn’t believe that they refused to serve me tap water, maybe they just want to rip people off charging £3:00+ for Soda water, I won’t be in a hurry to go back.

Great as always. Food and staff are lovely. Owner always pops over to say hello and make sure everything is OK.

Service was good. Unfortunately food was awful, we ordered a garlic chicken starter and that tasted of cheese. When I complained they laughed it off and walked away. The main meal was just a salt fest I had the chicken Tikka masala and my partner had bhuna. Both curries were just full of salt. Couldn't enjoy it. Again when we complained they didn't seem to care or offer any kind of compensation. Disappointing when you spend £50 on food!

Westwood east restaurant is a top rated restaurant in the north-west of england because of their food quality and world class service and the well explained and well organised staff. Anyone who would like a top Indian food experience I recommend you come here. The main staff members who stood out to me were Mr Jamal Uddin and Mr Ridwan who both helped me out during my experience here. Following facilities are available, plenty of free car parking, a meeting and conference room available, small and big party advance booking available. Oldham Town Centre within walking distance. Westwood tram station nearby. Manchester airport within 20/25 minute drive.

This restaurant is excellent , their food quality is deserving of 5 stars, especially the stir fry and lamb kharai. This food is very delicious and the customer service is fantastic , they have a great location , plenty of free parking available, 10 minute walk from Oldham town centre and 20 minute drive from Manchester airport. It’s the best restaurant I have every ate from in my entire life, it’s perfect!

Very very very bad Experience. We will never go there in future. Presentation was so bad. Instead of ice-cream we got just ice with creamy texture😅lol

Been coming here since I met the wife 8 years ago. This is such a friendly place, with a wide variety of dishes. Quantity and quality is no issue and the price is fair for the amount you receive. Take in your own beers which is always a bonus and every now and again you get a bogof text. The owner is always about asking if everything is good and the head supervisor Jon is always about socialising and getting to know the customers... as well as running the place ensuring everyone is fed, such a pleasure to know him Give it a try you won't be disappointed

Food is nice but the fish on 2 occasion has been soggy, i think they use frozen fish. The Weds night All you can eat offer is NOT a buffet. They bring you out a hot plate of meats, rice naan and curry sauce. That's where they want you to stop. When you ask for more they are reluctant and give you that look then bring out tiny portions. Makes your feel uncomfortable asking for more

Went here a few weeks ago as part of a party. Service was amazing and we couldn't ask more fron the staff, however, 14 of our party was very poorly the next day which wad a bit of shame really

Reading some of these 1star reviews, I believe they are from rival eateries trying to mar this business so they’ll lose customers and some are reviewing the completely wrong restaurant. We were here tonight 8 of us (4 adults, 4 children) ( This is our 4th visit ) We were warmly greeted and shown to our table by a lovely member of waiting on staff. We were asked if we would like some drinks, they were served promptly by a lovely member of waiting on staff. Our order was taken around 10 minutes after sitting down and was served within around 30 minutes by a lovely member of waiting on staff. All the food was of an excellent quality, presented beautifully and by really lovely members of waiting on staff. We were welcomed, seated, served with drinks and food and had a really lovely (nearly) couple of hours and would highly recommend visiting. In regards to the negative reviews, Put it this way, when we arrived at 5pm (it opens at 5pm) there were only us and 4 other people seated, when we left at around 6.45pm, IT WAS PACKED !!! Food and service can’t be that bad can it !! 🙄😏 Loads of free parking 🚗🚙 Bring your own alcohol 🍺 🍾🍷🍸🥃🍹 All in all, we had another lovely meal here at Westwood East and will always eat here as a treat because it’s always excellent 🤗

Avoid at all costs! We went over the weekend about 50 of us, we are now all poorly and have been for days 🤢🤮

Been going to the Westwood for nearly 20 years now, so I think it’s fair to say my review is not simply based on a single visit. Absolutely love this place, the food, the staff, the friendly welcome we receive as friends rather than simply clients. This year my grown up kids, who are now spread around the country, are devastated that we have not arranged the yearly family get together, mainly I think because they are missing out on the Westwood curry! I’m still fortunate enough to go on a pretty regular basis 😊. Would 100% recommend a visit, you may also be writing a similar review in 20 years time!

Been going here for over 20yrs never had a problem but the manger barred my granddaughter of 5 she hasn't got physically disability that you can see but she has got disability and the way this manger spoke to my daughter about her child is unacceptable so I will not bee rating this place because from now on will be not ever seting foot though that door again so if your child has needs avoid this restaurant that are not visible cause you get treated like a criminal and try to put you in a corner

Jalfezi was a bit too hot and I am Asian.!

This used to be a fantastic restaurant and I appreciate we were in a large group but having to wait over 2 hours for main meals (including children) is not acceptable - when it did arrive (for most but not all of us) it was mediocre at best, tepid and relatively tasteless They did apologise saying they will make it up to us next time but there won’t be a next time- such a shame

The best thing is you can take your drinks there. They don't serve alcohol. Not very expensive. The nan is soft. But curry's are avarage

First time here, I enjoyed myself very much will go back again. Went for my 32nd birthday with family and we enjoyed it there, had a good laugh with each other and the staff. The place is amazing, very clean and eye catching. The staff are very nice, friendly and can have a laugh with them. The food is very rich and delicious, you will enjoy every bite and the drinks are refreshing. Highly recommended. Give them a try!

I rarely give one star, but this was by far one of the worst restaurants I have ever eaten at. Food was discusting, waiters were rude+ I had to wait for 45 min just so they could take an ORDER! Do not recommend this place.

I hate it , the food was so cold and the staff was so rude . They were throwing plates at us and they told us to move to a different table , when we said no we are not moving the waiter does he will not be serving us any food. Never going there again , there was no seat to sit on and we had to seat right at the edge of the stage.

Don't knock it until you've tried it yourself. Went there recently with work and we were well looked after. Food was on point, service was fantastic. The owner himself kept checking to make sure we were being taken care of. I do recommend this place especially for team nights out. 👌

This place is a scam, they took my money! Don’t even bother!! FRAUDS!!!!!!

The place was dirty all-over, the waiters were rude and they took 20 MINUTES to just listen to our orders. The food was absolutely disgusting, filled with oil and greasy, it looked like dog food, the tables were so dirty we had to clean it ourselves.

I have never left a bad review about food in my entire 34year life but I feel so robbed and disgusted. Just had the WORST food I have EVER tasted! Asked for two pathia curries - clearly they have no idea what this dish is let alone cook it, but rather than be honest, they must have decided to give it a go. We received two trays of what tasted like sour chopped tinned tomatoes with a sprinkle of coriander to make it look pretty. It was vile - I have never tasted food as bad- my sister compared it to Aldi cheapest jar of tomato pasta sauce but I personally think that's much more flavoursome! What you served us last night was a complete and utter insult, not only to us but to proper Indian/Persian curries! And don't get me started on the onion bhajis and vegetable pakora, if you could even call them that... It took us a while to work out what they were as they were soaked thoroughly in grease- more like giant soggy balls of dough! Even the salad was rubbish - not fresh, the tomatoes were like tasteless mush. How does anyone get a salad so wrong?? The only thing that was nice was the veg samosas!! The mint sauce was bland too... Just very disappointing when you are starving and spend a lot of money on food that's inedible!!! I will never ever spend another penny here again and will never recommend it. Was my first time trying it too, I can't believe people pay to sit and eat that then come back. I urge you to try other restaurants like Indian Ocean! An apology or even money back would be nice because what you served last night was surely a joke???

The food was really bad , poor service , pathetic atmosphere.

Excellent food and outstanding service what more could you ask for. Called in for an early Monday evening meal (17:30) as a party of seven. Poppadoms fresh and crispy with delicious pickles, tandoori starters spot on, huge perfect onion bhaji's, really tasty main courses and first class friendly service. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Worst place I have ever been food rubbish, majority of staff rude, not all but most. Terrible service. The longest wait I’ve ever had At a meal. Places is pretty dingy, told us to change a baby on a table in a back room. Staff swore. Forgot half the orders. The only reason this place is open is that it’s cheap. Don’t bother. There’s a big sign in the carpark advertising the blue tiffin, take mine and the adverts advise and go there.

Best food ever? often eat in restaurant but now since lockdown we have had many takeaways delivered by Uber eats, a bit hit and miss but now found we can have a delivery direct by Westwood, a much better service, better menu , cheaper and great timing of delivery, ....EXCELLENT ... Eric, 5 Norley

I came to the Westwood east on Friday to celebrate my partners 40th birthday. It was a group of 25 and the service could not have been better. The waiters were competent, friendly and just made the experience so smooth for such a large group. The food.. oh wow, I wasn’t expecting it to be so good. I could decide for my main and one of the waiters recommended for me and it was lovely. Out of the 25 people 100% loved what they had to eat and the price is just brilliant too. I cannot recommend this place enough.

We have been coming to this restaurant for the last 5 years or so now for birthday’s with family and friends and just for the food it’s self at times, we even order take outs . It is by far the best curry house we have ever had, and we have tryed many, The staff are all amazing, they look after you so well, Jamal (boss man) always comes to your table to make sure you are happy with everything, the service is great, we try different curry’s we like each time and can not fault a one. The prices are good too, the menu again brill, always nice & clean, they bring a cake out singing happy birthday, can buy it from them or take your own, great for big parties, and best of all is you can take your own alcohol Thanks Westwood east staff, think you’ll be seeing us for many more years 👍 They even gave my son a birthday cup❤️❤️❤️

Been going here for years and decided to book for NYE. Was told we had to book at 5, 7 or 9 o'clock as there was three sittings. We booked 7 o'clock for seven people and arrived about 5 to and was seated right away. Very, very disorganised and two hours later, and we still hadn't received starters! Then we received the starters and they give two of the family chicken, who are vegetarian and ordered veg starters! We told the manager, who wasn't really interested at all. We cancelled our mains and left, and they even wanted to charge us for the starters what they give us in error!! Thank goodness for Waterhead Tandori takeaway. How to lose customers by being completely disorganised and over booking.

Never had issues with service or food in 16 years of visiting until New Year's Eve 21. Waited two and half hours for meal and third course not delivered. So left but paid for first courses. Felt we should been offered free meal another time

We arrived at 19.00 hours and it was pretty quiet some of us had starters so that killed some time. At 20:45 we had to chase up our main courses and was told 5 mins, 20 mins later and people that had sat down half way through the meal were getting theirs first so for service I’d say it was poor as we were forgotten about. My meal was the citrus chicken and because they left the rind on the lemon it was so bitter and I picked it out, not much chicken in it either. Sorry but not a good visit for me and the cheese on the nan bread looked like cheese slices
