Ordered donner & chips absolutely vile. Absolutely lathered in it hot sauce. Could not eat at all. Straigh into the bin. Very disappointed as we are regular customers!

Got the mix grill shashlik on naan, was not fresh at all lacking flavour Would not recommend the meat especially the donner meat

One of the best,I love the pizzas very beautiful pizzas, you could eat a full 12 inch pizza all by yourself within a minute that's how tasty it is, and I come from another town to get food from here and I'll come again

We only ordered 3 things, 3 starters. the we're all cold, they givd us half portions and the food seemed pre cooked already, like theyd cooked it twice. Not fresh at all. the salad was a complete joke it was warm eubbery cabbage an some green thing id never seen before.. I never leave a review but you guys deserve a bad one for sure it was ridiculous, Abysmal. Dont order, its not worth it.

It was ok, chips were ok, pizza was ok edible but dull, fried chicken was lovely though. Salad was ok, sauces were ok.

Delivery was fast... driver was super patient and polite. Giving full stars just for the driver. Food was fresh and piping hot... ordered the feast shashlik kebab, what a feast with great portion size. Only downside was it had way more donner than the usual mix balance.

While their prices are expensive, I ordered a 1.5l diet coke and only got 1.25 with no indication that it was a mistake or if they expected me to miss it.

Stumbled in last night after a gig and was very pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! Excellent food, good service. Definitely get the Piri Piri wings! Ooof!!!

The food was good quality, tasty and a good portion. Only negative was that the chips and curry was a little squashed, but still tasted good.

Guy pressed delivered when it hadn’t been then kept telling us delivery would be ten minutes. This was at 10 to 8 and food didn’t come until 25 past after delivery driver being sat in his car for 10 minutes after quite clear directions. Appalling customer service

Shocked that our food was rubbish considering the rest of the reviews are good. Our order included a pizza, 2 curry sauces, 2 Nan breads, chips & onion rings. Pizza was cold but tasty. Curry sauces were basically pots of oil, but did taste okay. The nan bread was absolutely terrible. Worst nan bread I’ve ever had. No flavour, tough and just rubbish all round. Was very disappointed. Would expect a lovely fluffy nan bread from an Indian takeaway

Avoid this place, Donner has fat stones in it. Staff are rude bunch of kids.

Last time ordering from these guys. Gone really down hill the last few months. They just sent me the worse naan I've seen in my life, inedible. Last week the chicken donner was hard, they said it had shrivelled up cos it was snowing outside. Got no words. Shame as used to be one of the best in oldham

Ordered the feast shashlik kebab...portion size and food quality was great enough left over for another day. Only downside was the delivery driver didn't follow instructions and started tapping on the glass window with a key, which was not appreciated. Would have got full stars if it hadn't been for that.

I think this was the best karahi I've ever had. Wasn't overflowing with oil and the peshwari naan was perfect.

Having been let down by my usual takeaway l went to gold star on a recommendation from a friend, I’m highly impressed so far . Their selection of naan breads are pure luxury.

While the flavors were impressive, the portions were on the smaller side. In particular, I ordered the x-large donner kebab expecting a substantial meal, but it turned out to be no larger than what I would consider a regular-sized portion. On the bright side, the garlic naan was a standout. It was incredibly flavorful, with the perfect balance of garlic and spices. Overall, I enjoyed the food, but I couldn't ignore the underwhelming portion sizes, although the garlic naan managed to make up for it with its delicious taste

Nice food but driver didn't read added Instructions

The only reason I haven't put 5 stars is because the kebab was all falling out of the pitta and my boyfriend had to just eat it with a knife and fork in the end. The pitta hadn't been fully cut open so the food could have fit in, seemed like the person was in a big rush and it was early anyway so no need for that. Anyway food tasted incredible thanks.

Unfortunately it was delivered to the wrong address, which is an issue I have had before when ordering food from other places. I have had many many deliveries from Gold Star over the years and this is the first time this has happened so I put it down to just one of those things. I just phoned them and they apologised and said they would send out a fresh one. It arrived about 15 minutes later and was absolutely delicious, as usual. I can't imagine this issue happening again and would still not think twice about ordering from here. The best kebab in Oldham!

Disgrace, my kid got food poisoning!!! Had to ring an ambulance and my kid was swealling up and had hair in the food DO NOT GO unless you want a nightmare night

Food turned up way early, I can't complain about that, but when we opened it up it was half hot half cold, chicken was slimey, burger had 1 tiny peoce of 'salad' on it and overall it was super dissapointing

Food here is mid at best. The donner kebab is not red. I personally prefer red donner to be honest, but the food isn't all that bad. The gold star kebab sauce is quite nice and the prices are below the market average. The service is well good. And the chips are cooked well. Overall I do believe there are better kebab shops in Oldham.

Got donner and chips was nice but got a chicken donner and was hot think they put hot sauce on it he asked if i wanted sauce i just said yeah maybe i shud of said not hot lol....will try again and say no hot sauce WOW WAS HOT got another few days after was ok

Absolutely nightmare, if there was a 0 to give I’d give 0 . Bought mix grill shashlik couple of months ago and it was absolutely terrible rubbish food . I thought it may be it’s not a good day for me and decided trying again today I bought it again and it was even worst food , paid £15 for for shashlik( wouldn’t even get it for free if knew it wouldn’t be like this . …on the menu it says many things included in Shashlik deal like ,1/2 chicken ,kababs ,wings ,tikka etc….but they filled up a naan with loads of donner and almost nothing else on it , And honestly they mixed all the old food God knows how old the things were which supposed to be in the bin but they served it to me and I believe they they do the same to everybody ,I’ll never go there again what a waste of money and time
