Westview Fish Shop in Hartlepool

Firstly they only accept cash or you can bank transfer but it is such a hassle to bank transfer when they can get machine which i don't understand.The sausage and chips i ordered came dry and undercooked, The sausage looked and tasted as if its been sat in the hot holding area for half a year. I don't know if its the batter they use or how they make they fry it (using fresh oil etc), but the everything tasted bland and dry. Other than that customer service is good but the shop is really old and run down for the amount of attention it gets i would have thought they would have done a better job at keeping it in good condition.

Never had a bad meal from here, staff are very friendly, the fish is always fresh, the chips are chunky and lush, prices have risen due to the depression but hey, haven't they all, hope they go down again as things improve 🤔👍🏻

By Far the best chippie in Hartlepool. Portions are really good and good value too. Always delicious and the team are brilliant. If you're looking for fish and chips this is a must..

Best fish shop in town atm. Staff are always friendly and food is great. The batter is lovely. You always get decent portions. One portion of chips is enough for 2 people. Had the large fish and it is really big.

Best fish and chips I had in a long time perfect

This is the best place for fish and chips, by far. We travel about 16 miles (round trip) because we love it. Batter is light, crispy and golden and chips are always fresh. We eat ours in the car so we have them at their best.

They take card and do half lots. All good in the hood.

Easily the best fish and chips in the town.

We absolutely love the fish & chips here! We don’t live in Hartlepool but come and visit family, and we ALWAYS buy from here. Never disappointed - we are usually on the floor after finishing, but we do nit stop before we finish! This time around the service was even over the top - we got extra scraps and a proper delivery bag to carry all 5 portions we have ordered! Thank you very very much!

Beautiful. Fish fritter and chips with scraps and then eaten on the sea front on the headland. We do this every time we go to Hartlepool and it never disappoints.

Not sure if it's the best in Hartlepool, but it's certainly the best one I've found so far. Everything cooked to order. Large cod is large+, large chips less so. Excellent Covid protocols in place.

The chips are excellent, the fish is superb. Prices are okay given the quality. Service can take a while on busy nights, but it seems like everything is cooked fresh.

Quick and easy very tasty been many many times and never had a bad meal yet, the owner Sunny is a really nice guy and so is his wife forever engaging my toddler when we enter the shop to keep him busy whilst we wait for the food, which is never a long wait, parking is very tight due to its location but can normally get parked up without issue, fantastic food and highly recommended.

Found this little gem on the way back from crimdon dene beach. Lovely big portions tasty chips and easy to park. Thumbs up.
