We attended the ‘Mini Monster Mash’ at Westow House for Halloween and it exceeded all expectations. Ellie was phenomenal - she engaged with the kids effortlessly, making them feel seen and special, while also providing exceptional customer service to all the parents. Her warmth and energy truly made the day memorable. The event was overall impressively well-organized, thanks to Saffy, who ensured there was so much for the young ones to enjoy. It’s rare to find a team that blends professionalism with such genuine care and creativity. Highly recommend this pub for family-friendly events!

Pub good vibes, mixture of ages, friendly service, dog friendly.

Good Sunday roast, big portions yet not enough veggies. The pork crackling was not there so my suggestion would be to remove it from the menu to avoid disappointment. The chicken portion was gigantic. They also offer child portions, just have to ask. The service was good especially considering how busy it was. Otherwise a really nice atmosphere, clean and tidy. would recommend it.

Had some lovely food and drinks, great venue, very attentive staff, can’t recommend this pub and manager Dan enough. Well done and thank you very much. 👏👏👏

Went to a comedy night at Effra Social and the manager of the Westow stood next to us by the bar and talked through the whole thing. Ruined the night and the pub for us.

Went to Westow House for their Halloween party, so nice to have a DJ in there again, ( he could have been better!), and great vibe, and so nice to have it open until 1am so the older folk had somewhere to dance and not have to go home at midnight. Place was busy and friendly, really hope there will be regular late licences at weekends with dj's, so much fun

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Check-in was very fast, as was check-out. Very cozy room, clean and comfortable bed. The room has coffee, tea, biscuits. There is a bar downstairs that closes at 11:00 pm. There is a summer terrace. Thank you for providing quality services.

Went there Saturday afternoon for a drink and a bite to eat. It wasn't that busy, we stood at the bar for 10mins and not acknowledge at all. So I said to one of the staff "I'm so sorry but we've been here awhile, is there any chance we can get served?" The respond was unbelievable. "sir, sir I'm serving someone else, I know exactly how long everyone's been waiting and who's next you can wait longer." We literally stood there 10mins and watched people get served and leave. Me and my friend looked at each other and immediately walked out. I've worked at bars and restaurants for over 15 years and i have never responded to a costumer like that.

Lovely clean and spacious rooms, all of the staff were great from the Bar Staff to the Hotel and Kitchen staff, everyone seems to pull their weight and is a good person, if you have reason to be staying in Crystal Palace this place is brilliant with quick walk to the Overground and other stations, right next to the bus station as well, and it's got the added bonus of being extremely cheap and affordable

A very nice welcome, followed by a great menu. Perfect lunchtime spot... Close to the park and some great transport links too. Probably, the best Sunday roast in the area. Fresh, hot and tasty!

The price of a pint of beer is absolutely scandalous. You would you were I. A West End pub!

Scruffy, but is in the middle of a makeover. Always friendly. Abs delicious Sunday lunch today. And apple crumble.

Great local pub with a decent restaurant at the back. Can get rammed on Sundays and need to book ahead of time, but worth it if you get a seat.

Great service friendly staff, and they serve the best pint of Guinness in Crystal Palace. Their pub quiz is also one to not miss and the atmosphere is always buzzing.

Popped in for a pint and lunch on Saturday afternoon. We waited over an hour for a starter, fries and steak - not good. Staff just kept saying the kitchen was busy, but we couldn't see many people being served food. We did get 1 free drink for the wait but my partner's wine, meant to go with his steak, was long gone before it arrived and no apology or reparation made. The food was fine, nothing to shout about (and instead of the skinny fries we ordered, we got fat chips - not a big deal). A shame because it's a lovely pub in a nice area, but beware if ordering food on a sunny weekend!

Had a horrible experience here trying to take part in a quiz. We asked the barman if we could join the quiz, he said yes so we headed upstairs. On our way we were intercepted by the manager who was very hostile and condescending from the off, calling out "where do you think you're going?". We said we were doing the quiz and the barman said we could still join. They replied "oh absolutely not! I'm the manager, point him out to me!" which made us feel very uncomfortable because we didnt want to get him into trouble and felt like we were being put in an awkward situation. We stayed for a drink but it was very overpriced and £7.50 for chips is pretty shocking. We live locally but it's definitely put us off coming back.

We enjoyed a relaxing Saturday late lunch at the pub and had a fantastic time. The outdoor seating is excellent, and when paired with delicious food, it guarantees a great experience. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. The fish and chips, in particular, were very well prepared.

Haven't been to the hotel however the bar is good and would go again. Staff are good and the drinks selection is pretty good too. Can't beat the location right outside where crystal Palace triangle meets the park.

Went here for breakfast. It wasn't busy and seemed a calm atmosphere. Ordered tea and granola. Tea came fine, but the granola took nearly a half hour to arrive, and the yoghurt was warm, which was less than pleasant. They refunded me with no question. But I that mouthful put me off ordering anything else.

If you love children’s portions and over priced food you’ve come to the right place, £70 for a pub dinner and we left hungry. I don’t mind the price but I’d at least expect to leave full and satisfied which I did not. The steak and chips I ordered was a measly over cooked steak with around 10 skinny chips (NO SAUCE). My partner ordered the Korean chicken burger where the bun was bigger than the chicken it’s self, two mouthfuls of chicken and it was gone, leaving the majority of the bun left. Didn’t bother with dessert but I did have to go to the Morley’s down the road as I left starving…

We went to have lunch at the restaurant, fish and chips was decent but the lamb was horrible with 3 very small pieces (two undercooked and one over) filled with nerves and inedible fat for a dish at £25.00. When the waitress came round and asked how was the food I explained the above and was not offered any alternatives or discount. I will not return.

Not often I write reviews but feel it’s important for the owners to know the kind of staff they’ve got working for them. The male employee with the blond hair working the brunch shift on 27th July 2024 was comically rude, proceeded to “tell me he was busy” when I asked if I could place my order having being ignored for 10 minutes whilst waiting, (restaurant was 5% full so when it gets genuinely busy, lord help him). Purposefully then read my entire order back wrong to me with his back to me. 2 drinks and and mains is more difficult to get wrong than right… no please or thank you when paying then proceeded to bring me the wrong drink anyway, and pretended to swap it for the correct drink (came out literally the same). On top that was sent the wrong breakfast… Happy to provide more details to the owner as I personally won’t be visiting again, which is a shame as I like the place and have had drinks, recommended family members stop there and had dinner there before. Horrendous attitude shown by the fella mentioned above. Anyway hope he finds some form of joy in his own life and not feel the need to try and heap misery on other people’s days. Sad little man!

Got super excited to try the wine, steak and chips deal for 19.50, but sizes are sad. Feels like we split a steak and chips between two people. £40(!!!) for two people as a 'deal' is great but tiny serving. Service super lovely!

We stopped for lunch before a concert in the park, unluckily there were a couple of problems with my meal. We were fully satisfied with their resolution and left a nice tip, however I wish I had left a lavish consideration. Thanks

Attended a private event. Good room, food, drinks, and service. But the electricity going multiple times was seriously annoying. Seems like this happens often based on staff comments. I would recommend getting that fixed ASAP!!

Stayed 2 nights, despite being on a busy junction room was quiet, perfect location for the festival we went to at Crystal Palace bowl , train station 2 minutes away . Ate in the restaurant 3 times best place on the street, customer service first rate, which if I’m honest is unusual these days so full credit to the staff

Food was nice but upstairs was unbearably hot and I was served by a really rude and quite scary person behind the bar. Smashed a glass and started shouting

Awful pub. One of the worst on the triangle. Horrible music, the most uncomfortable seating inside, this is not a pub. Don’t know why it’s so popular.

Spacious pub opposite the South Western entrance to Crystal Palace Park. I've not eaten here yet but loads of beers to choose from and a nice beer garden out front( although not much sun in late afternoon unfortunately)

Popped in and had the most lovely English breakfast before going to an event nearby. Very reasonable prices and the breakfast was so good. My daughter who doesn’t even like mushrooms nearly had the whole of mine that’s how good it was! Really well cooked and tasty, will come again for sure if we’re nearby.

Nice location, nice atmosphere, good range of alcohol and teas, my mug was not clean (honest mistake I suppose), generally good.

Had the most excellent chicken, ham and leek pie, with lovely mash a perfectly cooked cabbage, topped with a tasty gravy. The staff are super friendly, and plates get cleared quickly. Nice selection of red wine too! I'm lucky to have this as my local.

Great pub with excellent service and a delicious roast! I had accidentally booked my table for the wrong day but the manager squeezed us in, even though it was a really busy Sunday lunchtime. The food was great and the service was brilliant. Would recommend.

Ran out of loads of beers. Staff couldn’t be bothered to dry the chairs after the rain. Poor service

Nice staff but for some crazy reason they've taken Aspall cider off tap and replaced it with something horrid.

Really nice. Their work deal is great value. Great to sit out the front and watch the world go by. Food is good - typical food grub standard. Service is excellent.

For the money you pay I would say that their burger was looking very small and with limited amount of chips. The service was however very good.

Good vibe nice setting relaxed atmosphere enjoyed my food although it wasn't cheep, as a Guinness drinker the quality was good slight drawback i found most of the drinks where slightly overpriced Apart from that I would use this establishment again

We had drinks and some food here celebrating a friend's birthday. It's a brilliant pub we've visited a few times. They had the football on for the Euros at the front of the pub by the bar where it was quite busy. We sat in a booth at the back in the restaurant area which was less busy but busy nonetheless. Many different groups had food and drinks while we were there. It's a family-friendly place with kids and a lot of folks bring their pets too. Weirdly though, the dining area at the back would get incredibly loud then quieten down before getting very loud again (acoustics). We stayed from 5-11:30, and enjoyed an immense Korean chicken burger, some delicious truffle fries, and a load of beers (non-alcoholic for me). This is a good pub in a great location and very good staff. highly recommended.

I stayed in the hotel for several nights. It's part of a busy and very well visited pub. The furnishings are from the 70s. The room incl. the bathroom are clean and very well served. Unfortunately the pub-hotel is located at a very busy crossing and the small window is far from being protected against the traffic noise. So, the owner serve earplugs. It's too expensive for what it offers.

My local pub and a regular visitor. Has a great menu and selection of drinks. Also a good selection of bar snacks including nuts. They have a great beer garden and it’s the perfect place to spend a summer afternoon in Crystal Palace. Disabled access is ok for a wheelchair and they have a disabled toilet on the ground floor.

Stayed at the Westow very spacious & friendly pub.Staff very customer friendly. Decent breakfast & pub food 😋. Would recommend with a couple of words. of caution no lift so if allocated the Heron Room top floor.The room was very nice & bed very comfortable. Shower height very tight no good for anyone over 5 10. There was a continual whirring industrial unit which was irratating its location I couldn't establish. It wasn't the AC or bathroom extractor fan. That said the stay was very good.

Went for drinks. Very large Victorian pub right across the road from the bus station Good selection of beers/ales etc. Didn't have any food. Plenty of seating inside and out. Hadn't been in the place for over 40 years but now a modern public house. Prices normal for London £££.

There for a wedding celebration and a great bar in a great location and staff were friendly

Great atmosphere, polite staff. Drinks are decent enough. Cocktails not very good.

Every time I go in here they have jacked the price of their own brewed Pilsner up by another 20p. Now a risible £6.20 a pint, when it used to be not much more than a fiver. About 50p more expensive than their other nearby Portobello pubs. Taking the mick because they are right beside the park. Hopefully Wetherspoons opens on the site opposite, as are the rumours, to give them a reality check. For now, I would advise you to walk on into the triangle for better beer and prices. *Edit reply to response. You don't strive to keep prices competitive, you charge as much as you think you can get away with.

I've been living in Crystal Palace and frequenting this place for three years and I've never had such an embarrassing experience with the staff. I've been waiting for 15 minutes to be served and another customer jumped the queue, so I decided to point it out the girl who was serving (pink hair) by simply telling her that we were there first. She told me I was rude and that she would serve the other customer first. Sorry but I was rude for what? For pointing that out? It was so embarrassing and It made me feel really uncomfortable in front the other people. I was served by another girl, who was kind. I tried to explain to her what had happened, but I felt so uncomfortable that I managed to simply tell her that her colleague was rude. Westow has always been my favorite place to go drinking with friends but if I face a similar situation again, I wouldn't go there again.

I am not sure if there is a training course that sells itself as being specialists in coaching disinterested. The service in here is always beyond contemptuous. Am I an idiot to expect to be given a price for my order. If there were stars for smug have 6 ☆☆☆☆☆ .

We went for Sunday dinner today Carrots seemed a little sad, the meat was quite dry, I think you should offer the gravy on the side as not everyone likes their food with lots of gravy (I do!) But my partner likes his potatoes crispy not sitting in the gravy. Lovely staff, nice service, few tweaks on the cooking and would be a great Sunday dinner!

Went there for a early mother's Sunday lunch. Sunday roast was lovely but the service was frustrating nonexistent the staff in the top section were the least engaging I've seen for a long time. It was like we were back in the 90's again.

I have loved this pub since my friends first brought me here in 2014. Now that I live in the area, I frequent it quite regularly and I keep coming back because the only thing better than the menu is the hospitality. There aren’t many places that are truly family-friendly but Westow House definitely is and that is thanks to their amazing staff. Even when they’re in the throes of managing a busy restaurant and hotel, they take the time to genuinely acknowledge their customers, especially the tiny humans & furry friends. Hands down the most attentive (and fashion-forward) customer service on The Triangle and my favorite place to grab chippies or a dirty chai.

Fantastic hotel and bar, set in the heart of crystal Palace. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the rooms are very comfortable. To top it off, delicious food and drink make it a sure bet that we'll be back!

We're long standing customers of the pub, but lately run into some really poor customer service. We've planned a couple of very important events at the pub, and emails are going unanswered for a long time. I was also just on the phone with one of the staff (3 minute long phone conversation) where I was expressing some concern and asking about follow ups. Instead of having a conversation with me, she put the phone down on the side of the bar and left it there for ages before I hung up. I cannot believe this service. This is sooo rude and upsetting, especially considering how important these events will be. I called back and before I could even finish explaining what had happened, he hung up too. I am flabbergasted by the disrespect. Both events we are planning to hold at the pub would bring in an awful lot of money, and we have also had our family book about 7 or 8 rooms at the hotel for the various weekends. So so so so so disappointed.

Just ok,don't get there early for Sunday Lunch because there's nowhere to sit, all reserved.It was a Mothering Sunday, so busy, Lunch was nice but lukewarm, and struggled with the knives, five of us to cut through different meats.would I return probably not!

A really nice, comfortable environment with decent beers and good service. So nice to see this pub start to reach its potential. Upper bar areas now open. A great drinking hole, please support it! EDIT: zero points for the idiotic bouncer refusing to allow me to walk in with two inches of water left in my clear bottle, claiming no water is ever allowed, despite me always carrying water, and having had the same bottle there 3 hours earlier. My friends both had bottles with unknown contents. Try using common sense and stop lying little feller.

Amazing food whole day round, location is around 45 min to centre. Rooms are very decent with comfy beds

Very busy place. Had to sit upstairs with our party of 4 for a table. No Guinness when my husband and I went in. Didn't eat. Prices were more expensive in Crystal Palace than the centre of London.

Great Sunday roast, great space, very kids friendly. The day we went we were also served by the most kind and attentive waitress I've ever encountered while dining in England. But sincerely all the staff seemed great and having a good time while working.

Very nice pub in Crystal Palace. Quite busy. The service was quite slow. My wife had an onion soup ( not very nice...) I had a cheese burger ( over price for what it was...)

Food is average at best and very expensive. Chicken supreme had no cream sauce. Steak was £30, small and overcooked. The peppercorn sauce tasted like gravy granules. Atmosphere was good.

We pop in sometimes when collecting my wife. We have a quick pint of vespa and a wine.Staff all seem happy, service allways good. Had the new menu trail 50% off excellent food arrived hot and perfectly cooked. Would definitely eat again 5☆

Soda WATER with fresh lime Is it really £2.40 for Soda water with fresh lime? I would like to hear that from the manager please… I questioned the barmaid and she got stroppy about it. I was with a large group of friends who ordered quite a few alcoholic drinks. The same water drink is free in the Faber and fox.

Well located pub and hotel. Good food and beer. We stayed in a room overlooking the crossroads which could do with some double glazing to keep out some of the noise. Other than that pleasant stay.
