The place wasn't terrible overall but I felt really very annoyed at the "Pork Rib Eye" on the set menu, which was just a bit of baked ham/gammon. It tasted decent but it was absolutely not what I ordered. It was a bit insulting and I won't be coming back

We are regulars at this restaurant. However our experience was very poor this time, we were there Saturday lunch time. The hostess was unaccommodating, when we made a request. Food was not as good as usual, left a lot to be desired. Kids portion is tiny for the price. Place was super busy, however food taste and quality has gone down a lot. The atmosphere was terrible. As a restaurant, when you are in demand or busy, you don't necessarily need to book all available tables, so the place is heaving and uncomfortable. I told the hostess that they have lost me as customer, she did not care. Sadly will not be back.

Arrived, shown to table nothing fancy, menus plonked on table, waited ages to take order. Not even a drink before! Nor did we get asked if we'd like another drink for the whole duration. Set menu, Starters of crab were lovely, I then had the pork which was full of fat the cabbage was hard there was absolutely no flavour, just not nice. When asked if all was OK at the beginning i wish I'd of said no! Don't like to make a fuss, however the service frustrated us more. Just no warmth, thought for the customer. Had to ask for everything! Nothing was offered and thats not the kind of service I go out to receive. You need to visit Marcos or even Zizzis they provide much better friendly service and food. Sorry guys you need to step it up.

We had a lovely pre-show 2-course meal at Brasserie Blanc with our extended family. The staff were wonderful, kind, and prompt (very aware of pre-show needs). We all had very different starts and mains and everything was delicious. I had a slow-cooked pork and it was fall-apart and so well-balanced with the sides (though I can’t recall everything). The kids had burgers and loved them. Someone had a loaded hot chocolate that looked sinful and was “to die for”. We had a house wine to share and it was delicious. Cost-wise, it seemed very reasonable on London terms. We had a meal out at a pub recently that cost more, so were very happy.

Ok food, classic brasserie style, but could be better. Venison, although very tender, was a tad dry. Venison sauce should have been a nice glossy gravy, but instead was a brown mush with 3 blackberries in it. Mushroom toast was ok, although my 'toast' was almost black (burnt on one side), and the mushrooms lacked seasoning. A little underwhelmed by the food, but then again as a 20+ years hospitality manager I am perhaps a little more critical than the casual diner. Service, however, was spot on, attentive, unobtrusive and quick. The whole service brigade seemed calm and under control, although the place was quite busy. Kudos to that. We had vouchers for half price main courses, so didn't feel the need to complain about the food, but at full price I would have not been overly impressed. Food was really just so-so. Would return, but food quality needs to improve for this price point.

This is the best place to eat before seeing a play at the National Theatre. Really delicious food, beautifully cooked always flavourful. The big plus is all mains have vegetables included so you get a balanced plate of food although I did add delicious crispy chips! I’ve been a few times and never had a bad meal. The menu is broad enough to cater for many different diners too. My only niggle is the noise, it’s very loud and difficult to hear.

A wonderful and surprising restaurant. Excellent value for the price. We ordered several dishes that were extraordinary: a divine cheese soufflé, a salty Fitibiya dish filled with mushrooms and chestnuts, we felt a taste of forest and nature in the palate. It was amazing. For dessert we didn't hold back and ordered another sweet pistachio souffle, which was also delicious, especially for marzipan fans. I'm already waiting for the next time I have the opportunity to come to this excellent place.

The ambiance was convivial and the styling attractively designed. The wine was good and not overpriced. The vegetables were crisp and flavoursome, no problem there, but the venison was dry and tasteless as was the sauce - we both like venison a lot and can cook it a lot better at home. The starters were well presented and interesting and the deserts were OK - no problems there. All of the portions were very sufficient. The coffee was better than it often is elsewhere. The waiter said that he'd report our comments about the venison to the kitchen but he showed no empathy, it was as though he didn't believe us.

We came for dinner on a Tuesday night and were instantly impressed with the decor. It is cozy and comfortable while still feeling upscale. We had a shared starter and 4 entrees, 3 of which were from their seasonal offerings. The cheese soufflé starter was divine and I would absolutely order it again. The venison seasonal special was outstanding! The venison was incredibly tender. The table was split on the pork ribeye with some loving it and others found it “hammy” towards the middle. The filet was fine. Our service was nice but a bit confusing. Several staff members waited on us but they didn’t seem to be communicating with each other about our table. This meant that we were, unfortunately, seemingly forgotten about once our entrees were delivered. It took several minutes for a dessert menu to be brought and once brought, no one came over to take our dessert order. We had another booking to get to so we unfortunately didn’t get dessert, although the Autumn Still Life sounded lovely. Again, all who served us were pleasant and friendly, there just seemed to be some confusion on who actually was serving us. Overall it was a very nice experience, and i would recommend it to others wanting a classic French dining experience

The staff are attentive and don't rush you, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The wine stood out the most. I had a different glass with each course and all were outstanding. Corporate event in the fine dining section. Main restaurant was nice and busy, not frenetic. Service standards as expected but some guests had an issue with menu choice I believe. A fixed menu offering for this event. My vegetarian option was not exciting, uninspiring but adequate. A haricot bean soup, a red kidney bean chilli with rice, the presentation plain, no green veg or salad side added. Unlike the non-veg option, which did include a small side salad with the ' skinny steak frites'. Didn't hear any complaints from the vast majority of non-veg clients, but then the wine was flowing pretty freely and loud conversation likewise! The saving grace for me was ( as often the case) the dessert. A traditional apple crumble with ice cream (with small grapes added to the apple). Perfect 👌. Happy memories of family home cooking ( though of course, at home there were always second helpings 😉). To sum up, a little more attention required to the food content and presentation, to uplift what for me would have been reminiscent of my youthful memories of the 'prix fix' menus so enjoyed when visiting Paris and villages in France in the 1980s and '90s. But then perhaps in those days I was less concerned with the food quality, simply enjoying the 💕 of my companion, who later became my wife😊.

We were there for a Sunday lunchtime visit and birthday celebration. The staff were really positive and accommodating when we asked if we could have a quieter table, and in fact the staff and service was great all round. Unfortunately, by 1.15pm the restaurant felt more like a creche than a restaurant. I know these comments will be disliked by most parents but they are aimed at those parents who allow their children to play on the floor directly in the way of the service route from the kitchen, and to let them cry/shout loudly. The food was beautifully presented. Our starters were cheese soufflé, crab and sweetcorn bon bons; escargot and French Onion soup. All tasty but soufflé could have been more cheesy and the bon bons more crabby. Main courses were also presented well - Oak Smoked Outdoor Pork Ribeye; Grain-fed Chicken and Chalk stream Trout and as for taste and enjoyment, we gave the respective votes, out of 10; of 6, 7 and 7. Not sure I would rush back to Brasserie Blanc in Southwark in a rush, and would go next time to the one in Covent Garden.

This BB restaurant is very handy for Waterloo Station and we usually eat there before getting back on the train - it's especially cosy inside in winter. We arrived an hour early for our booking and were seated comfortably in the entrance area with a drink until there was a table. I had the onion soup starter (which I only recently discovered at our "home" BB - delicious and very filling. My husband had the Morteau sausage starter which is a favourite with both of us. We both had the confit duck with dauphinoise potatoes etc. - a generous portion and excellently cooked. Service was great, as usual, and we greatly enjoyed talking to our friendly but never intrusive server Sylvia. Usually we have a decent meal here and I feel that the restaurant is good value for money. Unfortunately this time and also the time previously earlier in the summer, we didn’t enjoy it as much. The main reason is that the vegetarian options have gone down hill quite a bit. For example, the risotto sounded nice but when it arrived it was more like rice with some vegetables in it and a tiny bit of cheese sprinkled on top. It wasn’t really a risotto which should be rich and creamy. It was actually a little unpleasant to eat and lacked richness and flavour. I looked at the menu later and realised that this may be because it’s actually a vegan substitute for the risotto and also I’m wondering if the same thing was done with the vegetable wellington. Surely one vegan option is enough as all the veggie dishes seem to be being replaced with a vegan imitations of a dish that would usually be vegetarian. Please bring back decent vegetarian food! Atmosphere was nice though and service food as usual.

Having read the previous reviews we decided to visit Brasserie Blanc and were not disappointed. The food was both well presented and delicious. The portions were perfect. All the staff were friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend eating at this wonderful restaurant. We certainly will next time we are in London.

We enjoyed an early evening dinner here. The set menu is good and you can order 2 or 3 courses at a reasonable price. Some of our party ordered from the a la carte menu . I believe that all dietary requirements are catered for. Convenient location for National Theatre and South Bank centre.

Still good! Very nice pre-theatre menu and very reliable service. Even when busy it doesn’t feel crowded.

On arrival I waited to be seated as per the sign by the podium. It did take a moment fir staff to come to the front and seat me. Staff were very nice and helpful but probably need to be zoned so that each area of the front, middle and back are manned at all times. There were times that it took a moment to wave someone down to get drinks or extra items. Probably a good idea to ask staff to return to their sections so that customers can see them and vice versa. Food was tasty and well presented but portions a little on the small side. Bouillabaisse was one king prawn, one crayfish, two chunks of fish and a couple of new potatoes, half a tomato in the soup/stew. Very light and delicate flavours. This came with 3 slices of baguette. My friends had sea bream and duck. All found the food to be delicately flavoured and fresh. For dessert we had creme brulee, cheese cake and apple crumble. Again nicely presented and tasted good. We were just a little bit hungry later as the portions were slightly on the small side. The classy french brasserie surroundings are good for business dinners, friends get together and couples.

Its a very nice restaurant with great potential but lacks eye to detail. The staff was not very welcoming nor attentive, but overall good quality food.

We came in for a Sunday Roast and tbh the food was pretty average. But the service made up for it :)
