This was an excellent choice for a midweek birthday meal out. We had a free glass of birthday bubbles thanks to having signed up to the mailing list and a 25% off voucher to use for the bill. Atmosphere was good, service excellent and 2-4-1 cocktails early evening meant we had a great value drink whilst waiting for our table on arrival. Excellent value meal out with voucher and would highly recommend. We will be going back!

Excellent food and atmosphere. Very friendly and accommodating service. We had the chicken liver parfait and the fish soup for appetizers. For our entrees, we had the Sea Bream and the Duck Confit. It was my first night in London and, wow; one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Perfect execution of all four dishes. The chicken liver came with a red onion jelly that paired so well with the creamy chicken liver parfaits. The fish soup had rich, garlicky bouillabaisse and came with some butter, Gruyère and croutons on the side which one should empty right into the soup without hesitation. I could have had 4 bowls and called it a day. The duck confit was traditional, simple and cooked to perfection. The Sea bream came with artichoke hearts, croutons, roasted tomatoes and fingerling potatoes. This was the kind of meal that one might ask for before the Electric chair, lol. I was very surprised to learn that this was a chain, but hats off to the entire kitchen and management company. One additional note is that they didn’t have music blasting in the background, which made the experience that much more enjoyable .

Brasserie Blanc exceeded our expectations. My friend and I have both been a few times but not for ages and largely we book because it’s such a convenient location on Southbank. But tonight the food was delicious! And that was only the pre theatre menu. So good we had 3 courses and ate the most we have done for ages. Please note - they were EXTREMELY accommodating with regard to my gluten and lactose intolerance and my companions’ mushroom allergy. Nothing seemed too much trouble. I was surprised to learn all the ice creams and sorbets were lactose free - so we tried almost all of the flavours. They have an extensive range of gorgeous non alcoholic drinks (I don’t drink) and gorgeous alcoholic cocktails (my friend does), that we also consumed. Glad to see BB is moving with the times as sometimes I can barely find anything interesting to drink with my meal other than water. Our waitress Élysée was a delight. (I hope I have spelt her name right). Truly brilliant customer service from her and other members of staff checked in attentively as well. Setting the bar high BB, well done.

Very handy venue for dinner if visiting the National Theatre. Service was mixed with the front of house and our waitress not setting the best impression. Good choice on the pre theatre menu, and good sized portions compared to my last visit in January. Some aspects of the food were over cooked. Good choice on the 2-4-1 cocktails (and again improved since my last visit) but you cannot mix and match and have to order the same drink!

First visit following a random Google search. We loved it - great food choices, lovely staff, bustling atmosphere Our party of two chose one A La Carte and one Pre Theatre menu. Both were excellent, fresh and interestingly different. Cheese souffle was stunning Ideal location at the Southbank complex even though the location is largely at basement level. Though not relevant to this restaurant visit, the entire Southbank restaurant and bar area is looking very tired now, with excesses of concrete and multiple vehicle access points - it looks like it is stuck in the 1980s and warrants an overhaul

Tried this restaurant for a quick meal before a show at The National Theatre. On arrival I was a bit concerned about being in and out quick enough (within an hour) as it was busy though loved the buzzy atmosphere. However, needn’t have worried. Staff are excellent and very customer reactive. The cocktail came quickly (was delicious) and water even more quickly. We were able to order without much of a wait and food (chose two courses each) came in time which was not only presented well but tasty and, importantly, served hot. We hadn’t specified at the start that we had theatre, but mentioned it as we got our mains and asked for our bill at the same time. Swift payment and all done in 50 mins with plenty of time to walk to the theatre, grab some water and enjoy the show. Will definitely come here again.

My 'go to' restaurant when I come into central London for a movie (usually Waterloo IMAX). Hence I am familiar with both the menu and staff who are always very friendly and helpful. I recently tried the 'Classic French Onion Soup' which I have previously avoided thinking that a clear soup made with onions can't have much scope for 'original brilliance': how wrong I was - the crunchy tasty croutons and lashings of thick gruyere cheese give you something inviting to sink your teeth into, so nothing thin and watery about this version. To the extent that I have now had it on all my last three visits. ;0) Other starters I like are the 'BB Cheese Soufflé' which although light and tasty, is - non the less - for me - quite filling. The 'Crab & Sweetcorn Bob-bons' starter I found rather unexciting, and for want of a better word - a bit stogy. The Beetroot Terrine is exciting and will challenge your taste buds, and for me just a little too 'sharp' but not by much. 'Main corse' was again the yummy 'Goat's Cheese and Leek Tart', which is actually a light starter, but leaves me room for pudding! Incidentally my current favourite main course is the Pork Ribeye, but am eyeing up the 'Le Grande Soufflé' to try next week. Pudding was a huge surprise: the 'Yorkshire Rhubarb Trifle' had all you would expect from a trifle made by Mum, but then - magical honeycomb shards that explode with an amazing burst of ginger !! Enjoy!

We are regulars at this restaurant. However our experience was very poor this time, we were there Saturday lunch time. The hostess was unaccommodating, when we made a request. Food was not as good as usual, left a lot to be desired. Kids portion is tiny for the price. Place was super busy, however food taste and quality has gone down a lot. The atmosphere was terrible. As a restaurant, when you are in demand or busy, you don't necessarily need to book all available tables, so the place is heaving and uncomfortable. Ok food, classic brasserie style, but could be better. Venison, although very tender, was a tad dry. Venison sauce should have been a nice glossy gravy, but instead was a brown mush with 3 blackberries in it. Mushroom toast was ok, although my 'toast' was almost black (burnt on one side), and the mushrooms lacked seasoning. A little underwhelmed by the food, but then again as a 20+ years hospitality manager I am perhaps a little more critical than the casual diner. Service, however, was spot on, attentive, unobtrusive and quick. The whole service brigade seemed calm and under control, although the place was quite busy. Kudos to that. We had vouchers for half price main courses, so didn't feel the need to complain about the food, but at full price I would have not been overly impressed. Food was really just so-so. Would return, but food quality needs to improve for this price point.

We all had very different starts and mains and everything was delicious. I had a slow-cooked pork and it was fall-apart and so well-balanced with the sides (though I can’t recall everything). The kids had burgers and loved them. Someone had a loaded hot chocolate that looked sinful and was “to die for”. We had a house wine to share and it was delicious. Cost-wise, it seemed very reasonable on London terms. We had a meal out at a pub recently that cost more, so were very happy.

We came for dinner on a Tuesday night and were instantly impressed with the decor. It is cozy and comfortable while still feeling upscale. We had a shared starter and 4 entrees, 3 of which were from their seasonal offerings. The cheese soufflé starter was divine and I would absolutely order it again. The venison seasonal special was outstanding! The venison was incredibly tender. The table was split on the pork ribeye with some loving it and others found it “hammy” towards the middle. The filet was fine. Our service was nice but a bit confusing. Several staff members waited on us but they didn’t seem to be communicating with each other about our table. This meant that we were, unfortunately, seemingly forgotten about once our entrees were delivered. It took several minutes for a dessert menu to be brought and once brought, no one came over to take our dessert order. We had another booking to get to so we unfortunately didn’t get dessert, although the Autumn Still Life sounded lovely. Again, all who served us were pleasant and friendly, there just seemed to be some confusion on who actually was serving us. Overall it was a very nice experience, and i would recommend it to others wanting a classic French dining experience

Corporate event in the fine dining section. Main restaurant was nice and busy, not frenetic. Service standards as expected but some guests had an issue with menu choice I believe. A fixed menu offering for this event. My vegetarian option was not exciting, uninspiring but adequate. A haricot bean soup, a red kidney bean chilli with rice, the presentation plain, no green veg or salad side added. Unlike the non-veg option, which did include a small side salad with the ' skinny steak frites'. Didn't hear any complaints from the vast majority of non-veg clients, but then the wine was flowing pretty freely and loud conversation likewise! The saving grace for me was ( as often the case) the dessert. A traditional apple crumble with ice cream (with small grapes added to the apple). Perfect 👌. Happy memories of family home cooking ( though of course, at home there were always second helpings 😉). To sum up, a little more attention required to the food content and presentation, to uplift what for me would have been reminiscent of my youthful memories of the 'prix fix' menus so enjoyed when visiting Paris and villages in France in the 1980s and '90s. But then perhaps in those days I was less concerned with the food quality, simply enjoying the 💕 of my companion, who later became my wife😊.

Only 4 stars as I do not know how much the bill was. It was covered for nearly 80 people by my friend as a memorial for his late wife Gabby. The venue was perfect, congenial, professional and provided a fitting service that should make Ian justifiably proud. The food was superb.

We were there for a Sunday lunchtime visit and birthday celebration. The staff were really positive and accommodating when we asked if we could have a quieter table, and in fact the staff and service was great all round. Unfortunately, by 1.15pm the restaurant felt more like a creche than a restaurant. I know these comments will be disliked by most parents but they are aimed at those parents who allow their children to play on the floor directly in the way of the service route from the kitchen, and to let them cry/shout loudly. The food was beautifully presented. Our starters were cheese soufflé, crab and sweetcorn bon bons; escargot and French Onion soup. All tasty but soufflé could have been more cheesy and the bon bons more crabby. Main courses were also presented well - Oak Smoked Outdoor Pork Ribeye; Grain-fed Chicken and Chalk stream Trout and as for taste and enjoyment, we gave the respective votes, out of 10; of 6, 7 and 7. Not sure I would rush back to Brasserie Blanc in Southwark in a rush, and would go next time to the one in Covent Garden.

This BB restaurant is very handy for Waterloo Station and we usually eat there before getting back on the train - it's especially cosy inside in winter. We arrived an hour early for our booking and were seated comfortably in the entrance area with a drink until there was a table. I had the onion soup starter (which I only recently discovered at our "home" BB - delicious and very filling. My husband had the Morteau sausage starter which is a favourite with both of us. We both had the confit duck with dauphinoise potatoes etc. - a generous portion and excellently cooked. Service was great, as usual, and we greatly enjoyed talking to our friendly but never intrusive server Sylvia. It always adds another layer to the pleasure of the meal if the waiting staff is nice - they usually are!

The business lunch was great. We had a private dining room and all really enjoyed the event. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was high quality and we made the atmosphere fun! My reservation is that the vegan food I was offered and chose, was high quality but low in nutrition. I'll explain more below.

We chose Brasserie Blanc for a family meal with honeymooning relatives who were visiting from Canada. The location was very convenient for our party members, however it was important to have a night that would be a special memory of their trip. The atmosphere was perfect making us feel immediately at home and able to catch up, and the staff were all very attentive and helpful - especially with a food allergy in the group. The food was beautifully presented and everything was delicious. Everyone had a wonderful evening and we’d all wholeheartedly recommend Brasserie Blanc.

Usually we have a decent meal here and I feel that the restaurant is good value for money. Unfortunately this time and also the time previously earlier in the summer, we didn’t enjoy it as much. The main reason is that the vegetarian options have gone down hill quite a bit. For example, the risotto sounded nice but when it arrived it was more like rice with some vegetables in it and a tiny bit of cheese sprinkled on top. It wasn’t really a risotto which should be rich and creamy. It was actually a little unpleasant to eat and lacked richness and flavour. I looked at the menu later and realised that this may be because it’s actually a vegan substitute for the risotto and also I’m wondering if the same thing was done with the vegetable wellington. Surely one vegan option is enough as all the veggie dishes seem to be being replaced with a vegan imitations of a dish that would usually be vegetarian. Please bring back decent vegetarian food! Atmosphere was nice though and service food as usual.

No aceptan efectivo.
