Tucked away in the shadow of the Waterloo bridge is this little gem. There is a great atmosphere and the decor made for a romantic setting. The food we had was delicious and there is a good selection of wines. The friendly staff rounded off an amazing experience.

Great food I had the chicken my two friends had the pork, good quality meat, beautifully cooked and presented. The atmosphere was unrushed, and we felt very relaxed. All staff were excellent.

My first visit, going back again this coming Wednesday. As might be expected, slick service and delicious, well cooked food. I had Morteau salad (a French sausage), duck confit, and to finish, crème brûlée. The French Malbec was very quaffable, too.

It was a nice meal, HOWEVER I DO NOT WANT FOREIGN GREEN BEANS!! There are so many seasonal vegetables in this country, so please use them,! Also the pudding if blackcurrant "mousse" tasted very nice, but was quite runny so NOT a mousse. Service was excellent, polite and efficient.

Reasonably priced, good food, not too noisy. Use this a lot when seeing films at the BFI

Brasserie blanc offers a good variety of options with something to please most people. The menu does not seem to change a great deal but what is there is always good quality and well cooked. The service is efficient and not to over bearing and all the locations are of a similar and good standard. You know what you are going to get and it's always good. A great for a wide variety of occasions

Amazing food, service drinks and atmosphere! Our new favourite, highly recommend! We went to the Southbank branch, staff were attentive and knowledgeable, food was delicious and beautifully presented, drinks were perfect and the atmosphere was buzzing! Can't wait to return!

Food was outstanding. Simply the best lamb I have ever eaten! The only issue is accessibility. The main front door is down a set of steps, so access for a wheelchair user is to go round the back of the building into a back door which is obviously a delivery entrance from the car park. So - good that there is a way for a wheelchair to get in, but very, very unwelcoming for the wheelchair user. The efforts of staff and other customers to move things around to enable access puts an uncomfortable focus of everyone’s attention on the wheelchair user. This issue can easily be addressed by making a clear and accessible path obvious and available so we don’t feel we are causing a fuss and inconveniencing others.

The food and service were very good.

Excellent restaurant. They managed to fit us in on a Saturday evening despite us having no reservation (we'd been let done by a brasserie nearby!). Our table for 7 was in a great location, with a good atmosphere and not too noisy - so we could all chat normally. The food was excellent - all 7 of us really enjoyed what we had and they paid special attention to one of us who needed the menu adapting for her. Starters were good and we enjoyed our main courses - taking in the Chicken, Pork, Toulouse sausages, a fish dish and Vegan pie between us. Staff were all very friendly and good. Its just a short walk from all the action on the South Bank / Festival Hall.

The prawn cocktail was disappointing but the pork and the crumble made up for it. Great citrus spritz too! The staff could be a bit more amenable and attentive.

We chose this restaurant because it is situated on the South Bank near to the National Theatre. We wanted a meal before the evening performance there. We were therefore eating early and amongst the first there. It soon started filling up. My wife liked the decor and we enjoyed excellent service. The food was excellent. I had three courses and my wife two. All very good and no disappointments. As you would expect there was varied wine list. It is not the cheapest restaurant but you pay for what you get and we both enjoyed our visit.

Lovely night out with super friendly waitress who was absolutely right to recommend the pistachio soufflé We weren't sure what to expect as had been gifted it by friends for my special big birthday but it was superb food.

I was disappointed with the service - the waitress rudely shrugged off all my small adjustment requests to the dishes, didn’t apologise nor inform until we ordered that some meals were not available, and didn’t deliver my order as requested (without sauce). The menu is also rather limited and lacks ANY healthy options (eg salads, veggies, non-battered, non-sauced or non-mayounased dishes). The temperature was very high in the windowless room with little air.

This restaurant was divine. The decor is modern. The staff are lovely and the food was delicious. I would definitely go again. The atmosphere and vibe are very nice. And they had some melodic jazz playing in the background.

The food was good, and there service, fine. However, the seats were grimy, as was the floor. The place itself is awful, a claustrophobic, low-ceilinged cavern where the sounds reverberated despite the acoustic shields attached to the ceiling. As much as I liked the food, I wouldn't go back.

Went for a special lunch and it did not disappoint. Everything was excellent - the food, service, ambience. Coupled with the proximity to Waterloo, if you need something special - then this is the place!!

We had such an amazing meal here, atmosphere was great and food was divine. Everyone ordered something different and it all looked and tasted great! Definitely want to eat here again (especially that pistachio soufflé) and highly recommend it!

Food was great but the crumble was not good, too sour and ice cream was tiny. We had lamb which was nice and soft, pork was a bit dry and bland.

Flawless experience. The new and improved Stone Bass dish was delicious, as was the new vegan chilli pie, and wonderful service from Agnieszka and the team. A must visit if you’re in central London!

Noisy (lively? 😳) and bustling place with little personality. The food and drink were good but outrageously priced, especially the Chateaubriand. Even discounting for the location, considering the level of the dishes (good but neither particularly creative nor spectacular) the food menu and wines need an overhaul; with an eye on experience and value for money.

Eaten here 3 times recently and the quality of the food and service has been excellent each time.

Service and food was excellent. Had the crab appetizer which was very interesting, the steak was cooked to perfection, and dessert was yummy. Highly recommend!

We went for dinner. Very nice welcome. Very warm atmosphere and very pretty interior decoration. Very good food even if the pistachio soufflé was slightly overcooked. We spent a very pleasant evening. Definitely an address to remember.

I can’t share enough what a beautiful place this is, the food, the ambience, but the staff really were incredible with us today. Between the five of us, we had three kids chicken nuggets (which were WAY better than that, I can’t remember the proper word!), and the cheese soufflé and the lamb. We love brasserie blanc, and regularly go in Winchester, but today was extra special. It was my five year olds birthday day out in London and I slyly asked the manager if she’d bring out his Colin the caterpillar cake with five candles in (I brought it all with me), and she said yes without question. Not only did she do this, but she had two other members of staff and half the restaurant singing too! The manager and our waiters were so very attentive and very much in on the plan, I had a tear in my eye! Thanks everyone, you know who you are. Love, Sebastian’s family of 5 xx

Great service, first- class food and a wonderful atmosphere for lunch- time!

Lovely warm atmosphere, great professional service from every single person we encountered at the restaurant, good food, easy to get to from Waterloo station. No complaints at all! For those with young kids, it's nice and spacious inside, the tables are spaced apart so it isn't cramped at all. If you're looking for a place to meet up with friends or family in the South Bank area, I would thoroughly recommend.

We dropped in here without booking after an event at the Southbank Centre, and had an extremely enjoyable meal. The staff were especially attentive and friendly, the food was delicious and atmosphere was excellent.

We had a brilliant Christmas dinner here (a la carte menu) as three friends. The restaurant itself is lovely with a really ambient feel to it, our food was served extremely promptly given how busy it was, and the house white wine was delicious and brilliant value for money. Our waitress was also lovely (we didn’t get her name but she was British with short, dark hair) - really personable and knowledgable, she made some great recommendations and was lovely to chat to.

What an absolute delight. French food at high street prices. And it was VERY good. Highly recommend cheese souffles, fish soup, chalkstream trout, stone bass and my rump steak was tender yet full of taste. Staff were without exception excellent. Atmosphere was lovely with great lighting - cosy yet elegant. music not too loud. cocktails good. It is so long since I have enjoyed eating out at a high street chain or pub. I cannot recommend enough

I wish I'd liked it more, but both starter and main were overcooked, and there was a 45 minute delay before service. The dessert was very nice and it is a decent looking place.

Visited Brasserie Blanc for our team's Christmas lunch. Spacious setting, delightful cuisine, and warm atmosphere! The staff was attentive, and the selection of great wines added to the experience. Everything we sampled was truly amazing.

Excellent food and service. The buttered kale and grilled cabbage with fry onions are very tasty. A little noisy place to have the dining if you don't mind people talking loudly here.

It was my first time here, it has been a pleasant night, nice atmosphere, recommended.

We went for a work Christmas Party and it was a god time. Of the set menu I had, the starter, the Gnocci (in photo) was by far the best. The Turkey (also pictured) was nice, it wasn’t too dry, but a little average overall. I was disappointed with the Crème Brûlée, the flavour was ok, but the top wasn’t crispy and was a very shallow dish. All of the drinks were lovely. The service was very good, can’t fault that. I enjoyed it for a works Christmas party, would go back to try the main menu to see if it is actually worth it.

I went out for Christmas dinner, and I have had much better elsewhere for less than half the price here! The food was average, but the service was obviously tired and uninspired. With an unusual layout, it was extremely crowded and noisy. You will pass through a narrow passage lined with tables as you enter the more spacious 'private' dining areas. The bar is simple, but it is always crowded. They are fine for a la carte, but I would not recommend a prix fixe menu.

Really good modern brasserie for pre-theatre, as you would expect with Raymond Blanc's name on it. Nothing startlingly original but reliably tasty and excellent value for the West End.

We expected badly served, pre-heated food on a pre-christmas, pre-theatre evening. Couldn't have been more wrong. Service was great, pleasant and prompt, every mouthful of food was beautifully balanced and even the house wine was good. Thoroughly recommended. Well be back.

Went for our booked Christmas dinner last 1st December. The table we we're given was lovely and spacious. The restaurant was not packed to the point that it feels stuffy. Food was great overall especially the beef!!! You must get it. Food comes hot and at the same time. 4/5🌟 for the food cos I didn't really enjoy the apple pie. It was too tart and the ice cream was smaller than the universal ice cream scoop serving. For real. 4/5🌟 for the service cos even though we said we're still waiting for someone to arrive, the server bought out the starters without letting us know. It would've been nice if they had check with us. Still a lovely experience and i am still very happy to go back. 😊

Eleven of us had dinner a couple of weeks ago at Southbank, and the majority of us felt that the food wasn't great. We all had starters, which were nice. However, the mains were not so good. I ordered the pan-fried stone bass. This was slightly overcooked with very little potato and spinach, which was disappointing, but not as much as 2 of the other guests who both ordered the applewood smoked pork. One of the guests couldn't even eat it. Not only was it luke warm, but the crackling tasted off. The other guest left half of it. The rest of the guests were not that impressed either. This was raised at the time, and the price of the pork meal was taken off. All in all, it was a very disappointing evening and I doubt very much if we would go again.

Just a super French Brasserie. Everything about it is good, especially the food which never disappoints. Top notch stuff.

The quality of food and service is excellent, along with the very reasonable price. The place can be perfectly combined with BFI IMAX screenings.

Good pre theatre meal. Friendly staff

Food was ok but nothing exceptional. Greeted at the door by the manager unenthusiastically and seated at a table next to the toilet regardless of having booked in advance. Waitress spent 10' chatting to her colleague before finally coming to take our order. No check back and no interest at all to our table, she clearly did not want to be there as most of the staff. The only reason I don't mark the overall experience lower is because a young supervisor understood the situation and attended our table sufficiently.

Nothing special similar to going to any other cooperate restaurant like Cote. Not worthy as a special destination to celebrate any special occasion. Like Jamie’s, Gordon Ramsey and other’s just leveraging on the names of celebrity chief’s. No dishes to recommend unfortunately.

Good food and drink and great staff. Could be quieter. Could use some noise cancelling soft fabrics around the place.

BB is a good chain but this one seems to have dropped off a bit. Waitress was not very helpful in answering questions on the menu and not very attentive. Rib eye was too sinewy. Only positive was they knocked money off the bill.

Excellent restaurant on the Southbank near many attractions, including the BFI and the National Theatre. Tucked away from the crowds this place serves beautifully prepared French inspired food. The beetroot starter was perfectly balanced and the ideal light lunchtime starter. The stone bass was packed with flavour, again perfectly cooked and served with delicious brown shrimp. So good. Two points - there are no specials so it’s all a la carte and so it’s quite expensive for lunch (£100 for two with a glass of wine each) and as a result it wasn’t very busy so the atmosphere was a little flat. That said, the food was memorable and beautifully prepared and served.

Enjoyable visit - great food and there was a 2-for-1 drinks offer on before 7pm.

Thoroughly disappointing. Main course was not good (trout) and mashed potato appeared to have been microwaved. Felt like a Cafe Rouge, not special. Shame as have visited their Oxford branch which was excellent. I would not return to this branch. Very loud chain and average service. In fact, very average all round. Wish I had dined elsewhere.

The food and service exceeded my expectations on a first visit. Truly a delightful place for pre-theatre dining. Flawless service and yummy cuisine.

Our 1st visit to this location which was a little off the main road. We were impressed with the mussels which were very nicely done. We also ordered the lamb roulade, agreed with other reviews that the potato dauphinoise was divine! Pistachio souffle did not disappoint.

I can't describe how horrible the food was! I tried their trout and they brought a spoiled stinky piece of trout. They tried to convince me that the fish was fresh. I eat trout a lot and I know what spoiled piece smells like. They didn't argue much and offered to replace it. I took their touted lamb dish and it was also disgusting. The lamb was overboiled so much that it was falling apart in my mouth without chewing with that gross overboiled meat aftertaste. I have never eaten worse food in my entire life. Especially after paying almost £50. On the positive side: the service was really nice, respectful, fine linen, wine glasses, light, etc. The porchini mushroom sauce that trout came with was very good and the baked veggies that lamb came with were also very good. Overall, they don't know how to cook, what the food is supposed to taste like and what fresh and spoiled fish is supposed to smell like. If I ate that fish, I would have been chained to the toilet for sure. I certainly couldn't expect food safety issues and lack of basic food taste from a place that charges so much for food.

Great place to meet friends for a catch up. Decent food and friendly service. My three friends all thanked me for introducing them to it. They will definitely return - they loved the food. We had the pretheatre menu which is fabulous value for money. There is also a Happy Hour on some drinks before 7pm.
