The London Pass is valid and includes an audio guide. Built by King Edward in 1065. Remodeled in Gothic style by Henry III in 1265. It is the site of the royal coronation and the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth. We stayed there for 4 hours, looking around the beautiful chapel and courtyard while listening to the audio guide, and also looking for the graves of Darwin and Hawkins. It's a wonderful place, so I think it's definitely worth a visit.

A Sacred Treasure of British History Westminster Abbey is breathtaking — a place where history, architecture, and spirituality come together in the most powerful way. From royal coronations and weddings to the resting place of monarchs, poets, and scientists, every corner of the Abbey tells a story. The Gothic architecture is stunning, with intricate stonework, stained glass, and soaring ceilings that leave you in awe. Walking through the nave, Poets’ Corner, and the royal tombs is like walking through centuries of living history. The audio guide is excellent and helps bring the stories of the Abbey to life. Staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, adding to the enriching experience. Whether you’re drawn by faith, history, or beauty — Westminster Abbey is an unforgettable visit. 5 stars — majestic, meaningful, and absolutely essential.

A bit of a tourist trap if I'm honest. Just another way the Catholic Church separates the citizens from their hard earned money. If you're sure about going, buy your tickets in advance to skip the longest line. The staff aren't unfriendly. I can guarantee that every person making those posts were being dumb tourists and breaking the rules. I was surprised to see just how many people are buried in this building. You can't walk anywhere without stepping on someone's grave. The carvings and statues are very impressive. You can take your time to see everything without being rushed out. You can see everything with minimal reading in about 2 hours. There are throngs of people to navigate while inside. Sometimes it makes it hard to see everything or take pictures.

What an absolute architectural masterpiece! Beautiful and stunning. We were lucky to be able to get in for the 11 a.m. Sunday service and receive communion too! Was thrilled to bits to be able to do that as we have watched weddings and funerals take place from halfway around the world. NO pictures can be taken inside the church. The pictures posted are those when we existed the main church towards the exits and washrooms. Bags are checked and searched prior to entering so have your bags open. We did inform them we were there for the service so we did not have to purchase tickets. Services start at 8 a.m. 10 a.m and 11 a.m with communion.

Visiting Westminster Abbey is like stepping into the heart of British history. This architectural masterpiece, founded in 960 AD and rebuilt in the Gothic style by Henry III in 1245, has witnessed every major royal event for nearly a thousand years — from coronations and royal weddings to state funerals. The moment you enter, you're surrounded by centuries of art, religion, and national identity. The intricate stained glass windows, soaring vaulted ceilings, and detailed tomb effigies reflect the craftsmanship of medieval England, and walk among the graves of kings, queens, poets, and scientists. The Coronation Chair, still used today, and the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, a powerful tribute to fallen soldiers of World War I, add to the emotional and historical depth of the visit. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or British culture, Westminster Abbey is a must-see landmark.

I didn't want to wait, so I booked tickets online, but in the end, I entered through the same entrance and showed my e-ticket at the same counter to receive my original ticket, so I wonder if I have to wait in the same line as the people who bought tickets if it's crowded...? In that sense, it was a waste of time to buy tickets, but I think there is a limit to the number of visitors during high season, so it might be better to buy tickets online during high season. Fortunately, it was off-season and I went first thing in the morning, so I was able to enter without waiting at all. Other reviews said that photography was prohibited, but when I went, it was possible to take photos. I don't know if the rules changed midway through or if the rules are different depending on the time of year. The audio guide seems to be included in the ticket price, and you can borrow it for free along with headphones. It's also available in Japanese, so you can rest assured. For an additional 5 £, you can enter The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Galleries. I was a little hesitant, thinking that the museum attached to the museum was optional even though I paid 27 £ for admission, but I had plenty of time and some reviews recommended it, so I decided to go. It was small in scale, but it was fun to see the coronation and royal clothes of the time. I'm not sure if it was worth the 5 pounds.

It is a temple, what could be called a cathedral, due to its greater importance, as it is customary for the British Royal Family to perform the ceremonies and protocols of their reign here. It houses the main altar, its side aisles, organ, and choir stalls, which are unique in their architecture and beauty. The floor is covered with slabs from the tombs of British heroes from bygone eras, and the remains of English monarchs also lie here... The rite is that of the Anglican Church.

Take your time walking through and enjoy the splendour, the history where so many have walked before you, be they royalty of tourists, or other. Over 3,000 people are buried or commemorated here, including monarchs, scientists (Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Stephen Hawking), poets & authors (Geoffrey Chaucer, Alfred Tennyson, Lewis Carroll), and other national figures, throughout the ages. Westminster Abbey is definitely one of the UK’s most impressive churches. It’s here that key events in the life of the British Royal Family take place including Royal Weddings (17 to date) and Coronations (the majority of British rulers since 1066!). This medieval church, graced by many royal weddings and coronations, offers a magnificent peek at London's far-reaching history We were here at 930 AM, that too on Monday but it was already crowded...!! so not sure when to visit to beat the rush hour. Westminster Abbey is also one of the most desirable burial sites in the UK, with countless famous figures from British history buried here, including Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Chaucer, and multiple British royals, prime ministers and more. Even if you’re not interested in the Royal family or the buried dead though, you can’t help but be impressed by this gorgeous gothic style building. Westminster Abbey stands on a site that's been associated with Christianity since the early 7th century. Officially known as the Collegiate Church of St. Peter in Westminster, Westminster Abbey was founded by Edward the Confessor in 1065 as his place of interment. This masterpiece of Gothic architecture not only has the highest Gothic nave in England (102 feet), it's also one of London's most popular tourist attractions, drawing well over a million visitors each year. Tip: do a little research ahead of time to avoid missing your personal must-sees. For instance, if you're a bibliophile, consider a visit to the Poets' Corner. This is the final resting place of famed authors Geoffrey Chaucer, Charles Dickens and Rudyard Kipling, among others. If you're fascinated by all the intrigue surrounding the British royalty, you might like to visit the shared tomb of enemies and half sisters Elizabeth I

First, the Londoner Hotel is outstanding and the service is superb. We were treated like royalty by Olga and her colleagues during breakfast, no waiting for food or seating and the food was tasty.

If you’re looking for a place to simply lay your head during your travels, this is your place. We were placed on the 3rd floor with a view of the back of the buildings trash and construction sight. We included breakfast in our stay however there were not many options for non-pork eating people. The hotel soup smelled of stale orange breath and the shower door never closed despite putting in a work order. The air continued to automatic turn off leaving the room very muggy. Not to mention, if it’s raining and your don’t have an umbrella, you have to RENT an umbrella from the hotel. Overall, we had a place to lay our heads and a hot meal in the morning.
