Westhoughton Indian Tandoori Takeaway in Bolton

Sent the wrong order which I paid for at the door at 9.30pm. I phoned the shop to inform them that they had made a mistake and sent the wrong order and I was shouted at and belittled by “the manager” who told me that the driver had delivered the wrong meal. He then lied and said he wasn’t the manager. The driver came back and demanded that we pay again for the meal to be delivered which obviously we didn’t. I phoned the shop again to ask for a refund which was refused. Again, the guy on the phone shouted over me so I put the phone down. He then continued to ring my phone constantly harassing me until after 11pm. I will never order from here again. £33 of food which I was allergic to was thrown away and the abuse I received was simply awful. Scary stuff for a woman to receive unwanted and intimidating phone calls until 11pm. They are very lucky that I didn’t get the police involved.

Had delivered+delivery driver was brilliant. Would rate him 10/10, really nice guy. Food was ok, plenty of it but chips were cold+nan was hard. Originally when I rang to order the guy who answered the phone didn't sound very happy then when I rang back after the meal to compliment the driver he was just the same+didn't sound interested. No thanks, nothing.

1st time ordering from here and definitely won't be the last. Food came piping hot and was extremely tasty. Couldn't fault anything. Been searching for a top notch Indian since moving here a few years back and finally found one. I recommend the balti garlic chilli chicken!

This is the best takeaway around by far. We live in Adlington and always come here now. Lovely, friendly staff and the food is really good!

Best Indian around ! Husbands Special kebab was just perfect, I had bahjis and samosas and poppadoms, all so fresh and hot on delivery...would highly recommend.

Amazingly light popadoms…tandoori chicken starter so tender…mixed starter everything was so tasty..mix biryani and Peshawari Nan will be going in the freezer…too full for that tonight…can’t wait to try that…never had a bad meal from here and service second to none…best Indian in Westhougton

I've been trying to find a decent curry for a while and now ive found one I'm sticking to. From the moment I walked in the staff was polite right up to leaving service I've never had before from anywhere. I had a chicken organ josh with garlic rice and compared to everywhere else I've tried I was very Impressed the chicken pieces are massive the rice perfect my go to curry house from now on. Even the misses who is hard to please was pleased. Thank you to all the staff for amazing food

Staff are always polite and the food is cooked in front of you and to a high standard I have purchased curries from here for a couple of years now and I can't fault them

Takeaway ordered via Uber eats.... when it arrived i was impressed by the size of the portions - unfortunately the food wasn't as impressive! Korma was bland and tasteless Nann over cooked Donner meat under cooked Rang to discuss with staff- he was rude and didn't care. Avoid!

Fast service and great food! Only fault was they forgot an item but they delivered the item shortly after I called them.

Great takeaway with a punctual and friendly local delivery service and I've never been disappointed with the food over the last ten years. The chicken tika pathia is great and recently I've been trying Madras, vindaloo and Bangla and they're all individual, really good and hot (chilli hot) and a Bangla is very very hot.

I've become a regular customer during lockdown and never disappointed with the quality of the food or of the service. Reasonably priced as well.

Our usual Indian restaurant / take away does not appeared to have survived lockdown. we have been going there to sit in / take away for 8 years. I searched locally for a new one and went through all the food hygene ratings and reviews and finally found indian ocean in Westhoughton. I downloaded their app and ordered through that and it was super simple being able to add your options etc. It was a worry trying somewhere new We were not dissapointed. The food was excellent and delivery was 2 mins within their estimated time. A+ We even had a call to ask about some of the options we had chosen to confirm them. An easy and great experience and the food was perfect Thank you and we will certainly be ordering again.

We have ordered from here for years, the food is amazing and the staff are just wonderful! The best Indian ever and I would never go anywhere else. The tandoori lamb chops are lovely and all of their food is so tasty! You have to give it a try.

I regularly order from westhoughton tandoori and they are superb!! always friendly with fast service and the food quality is the BEST! I’d definitely recommend as all of their dishes are delicious, all of my family and friends order from there too as none of us are ever disappointed!!!

Visited for a takeaway last weekend. Food was ready within 20 minutes and of a very high standard. Only negative is that they missed off an order of extra rice ordered but it didn't matter in the long run.

Ordered a take out with delivery from Westhoughton Indian Tandoori takeaway tonight and it is the first time we have ordered from here. We weren’t disappointed, the guy who took the order was very pleasant, it was delivered within the specified time slot and the food was excellent. We will definitely order from here again.

Placed an order, rang back an hour later and was told the order was out with delivery driver. Waited a further 20 minutes before ringing to chase up again.....I was then asked what the order was and what my address was. Obviously been a mix up but my contact number was left and no courtesy call etc. I was not prepared to waste another hour waiting. Will not be using again.

we order regularly form westhoughton tandori, always delivered on time and hot. the mixed started is great and the tikka massala is my wifes favourite with onion rice. not over priced compared to others in town.

Absolute quality, staff are great. Order a meal then have a pint in Wheatsheaf opposite. Done it many times and food is always ready on time.

Me & my wife have been eating here for about 8 years now and the food is excellent, we have tried almost every other takeaway in the area and beyond, but this place is easily the best quality and taste. The staff are very friendly and I think the key to a quality takeaway is the longevity of the owners and chefs.

Yo y mi amor finanzas comida india, así que pedimos un curry de ella hace unas semanas me decepcionó un poco en cómo era el curry pobre mina y no era muy wattery auténtico sabor. No pedir desde allí agen. Será mi currys de isla de las especias en Bolton infuture votado el mejor hindú para llevar en el REINO UNIDO

Me an my partner had chicken tikka massalla chicken/lamb shashlick a korma sauce, keema nan popodoms chutneys.. and unfortunately the best thing about this takeaway was the popodom starter keema nan and the lamb which was tender then it went downhill the massalla /korma sauce was powdery and watery threw them away the chicken was just passable but was overcooked dry and definitely not done in a tandoori oven .

La comida era muy buena, todo fresco y lleno de sabor... no puedo esperar a volver, así que puedes conseguir otro curry! Sin duda alguna recomiendo el Jalfrezi!

Each time we order from here the food is very good. Having looked at other Indian menus in Westhoughton, it is also the cheapest. The staff are always friendly on the phone and at the counter.

I'm reasonably new to using this takeaway but love their chicken sag its the tastiest I've had in a long long time. myself and my friends have tried several different meals and everyone has been lovely. delivery is circa 30/40mins which is average these days and the delivery guy is friendly.
