Great food at a reasonable price, kind and friendly staff with good service. From my experience it's always been better to book in advance by doing it online, it can get busy leaving the phone unattended. There are separate seating areas for both adults only, families and a children's play area that is on the opposite side of the building, away from adults area. There is a menu or the choice for a carvery at dinner, including breakfast if you up early. The food is good, desserts are too with large portions for what you're paying. The choice of drinks is slightly lacking and could be improved upon. Would recommend this place to families, friends and couples looking to get out of a good well priced meal that leaves you satisfied!

I'll never really know as 2 n8ghts on the trott I've been there kitchen closed earlier than they say so no food and closed early bit disappointed as looks ok but obviously has problems somewhat

Lovely experience. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious. We just missed the buffet breakfast but the available options arrived quickly, were hot and very tasty. Coffee was good too. Katie's nothings-a-bother manner and sparkly conversation made all the difference to our visit.

Visited recently with family (12 of us) and every single one of us though the place, service, and food were excellent. Would highly recommend.

We visited, looking for a pub lunch in the area, and found a carvery. Pretty standard carvery fare, though there was an onion gravy with big strips of onion in it. Delicious. Parking is plentiful, and we noted it's next door to a reasonably priced hotel. We found a model of a farm near the bar, showing the farmhouse and connected buildings. Presumably this is the original farm. I wonder if it was on the same spot before it got all built up.

Food Great. Staff helpful and friendly. Have been before, will come again.

My husband Franklin and I popped in here on a visit from Texas while staying at the Travel Lodge. We couldn’t wait to tuck in to the famous British meat, our host Lorna was super friendly. We can’t wait to tell all our friends back in Texas about this except for Brandine

If you want a big pudding, this is the place. We ordered a sticky toffee pudding each and were conquered. Mistakes were made. Excellent beverage selection and while we didn't order the carvery, it looked great. Ordered the chicken parmigana and steak pie, both very good. Nice New Years dinner.

Omg,first time here for breakfast and i was very impressed! We love a buffet breakfast and this did not disappoint! Huge selection of everything and super tasty. Lorna the lovely lady who greeted us when we arrived and left took the time to chat with us,she was very pleasant! Good staff make it an even better experience! The video wasnt obviously of breakfast,i forgot to take a photo but these puddings look amazing,cant wait to come back to try these!

We visited due to staying at the hotel next door. We initially ordered starters and mains along with drinks. We were served 2 out of 4 starters and waited 5 minutes for the 3rd to arrive. When this arrived we explained we were still waiting on a kids starter. The server then disappeared again and quickly reappeared with 2 of the mains despite the fact we were still waiting on a starter. We stated that we were not ready for our mains as we were still waiting on a starter which then arrived after a further 5 minutes! The server then asked when she could take out our mains. The mains arrived and were ok but had clearly been sitting out under a heat lamp, the butter that came with 2 of the mains was liquid and the sauce with one of the mains had a skin on it. We then went to order desert … one of the desserts was unavailable despite it being on display in the cabinet which was somewhat confusing and then an error was made with our order, which we was apparently when it was served. By this point we were passed caring and finished up and left. We also had some issues when ordering drinks… despite drinks showing on the menu when at the bar we were told they were unavailable… this was the case with 2 different drinks. All in all it was pretty disappointing.

Easy, comfortable, great service and delicious food.

Came in for lunch with work colleagues. Bar service only, and there’s one person behind the bar taking drinks orders, food orders and making the drinks for the entire restaurant. Opted for the carvery as you don’t need to wait on the kitchen, but it took us 25 minutes to get from 3rd place in the queue at the bar to the point where we could place an order and pay for it. We spent longer standing at the bar than we did eating our meal.

Came here twice whilst staying at the Travelodge next door. Dinner was great, lots of options and service was brilliant. Staff were very nice and helpful. Had breakfast too, very reasonably priced and tasted good.

Whilst Lorna was amazing! On the next visit with a different member of staff. the service was appalling. How can you not have the slightest customer service. I just wanted coffee and sourdough toast and butter. Even if it’s not on the menu ( which is) I could get offered a replacement but instead I just have coffee. To make things worse when I saw that was on the menu and brought to their attention. I got give 2 bits of toast with no butter. It just felt like I’m doing you a favour. Very kind but obviously I wanted butter I had asked to start with but the manner I was apprach and the lack of customer serve made super unhappy. They can keep their 2 pieces of toast.

I have ordered from this company twice now and both times I have had issues with the service. My first experience saw my food arrive almost 45 minutes late with entire parts of the order missing and now this second time my order took approximately 2 hours between order and delivery (with the restaurant being about 3 miles away). This is entirely on the restaurant as it took the courier less than 10 minutes to arrive after collecting it from the restaurant itself

I had lunch with friends at Westgate Farm a few weeks ago. I ordered their "new to the menu" beanburger. I've been a vegetarian for some 40 years but have never seen nor tasted a beanburger like it. It seemed as if they were trying to disguise that it was a beanburger as it was covered with breadcrumbs, cauliflower wings, melted cheese, BBQ sauce and more. The beanburger itself looked like brown putty with whole haricot beans through it and was inedible. I have been to this restaurant for lunch several times. The staff are lovely, there's a friendly atmosphere and the food is usually reasonable and reasonably priced. But I feel the restaurant's managers should sit down and eat one of their veggie beanburgers and give an honest review of it on this site. I think they will realise that their vegetarian customers deserve better.

Shiree was an absolute legend - really helpful and made us feel so welcome instantly.. Food was good and atmosphere was relaxed and calming. Every need we had was accommodated. Recommend this place.

I was in your restaurant Sunday 24/11/24 at 5 o’clock and found your car park in darkness as none of the lights were on, as we are both in our sixties found this extremely dangerous. I don’t think we will be using your restaurant during the winter months unless the lighting issue is fixed.

Excellent service. Extra food was brought to our table when the buffet was nearly empty. Milk & hot water at the tea / coffee station was topped up in a timely manner.

Food was good. Was welcomed very nicely. Only disappointing things were that we ordered a starter and main. While mid eating our starter our mains came. The place wasn’t busy so not sure why it had to be rushed. I ordered a starter and main not a starter and side. One way to let people’s food get cold. Then after we finished our starters and mid eating our mains. A server was just standing and peeping over to look at us it can be seen as creepy. She was just waiting to come and ask if we want out empty plates taken away. Like no I just want some plates this we don’t need to be hanging around at the end of the table

Portion size of the meat is absolutely shocking for the price overcompensating in mashed potatoes roast potatoes are black and bruised the if you want to call it stuffing more looks like a dog spewed at the bottom of my meal carrots boil potatoes are actually decent

food absolutely shocking..£12 for 1 piece of meat, half a tub of mash and half a tub of carrots, no yorkies or pigs in blankets that I paid for. won't be ordering again

We have been going here for a while now. The Carvery is fantastic, always fresh and hot. A special mention to Lorna who always gives us a lovely welcome and looks after us well.

Friendly Staff, lots to choose from the menu. Different areas to sit. Carvery on offer if you prefer. If you have any problems the staff are happy to sort them out. Lorna goes out her way to help and makes sure that all customers are happy with everything. If you're looking for something different for a Christmas lunch then look at the menus. Some you need to book and pay a deposit and pre order your food.

Shearen was our server and was fantastic, welcoming us into the restaurant and explaining how to order. Lovely lady, this is our third visit and Shearen is always polite and happy and the service is wonderful from her.

Once again Keith the chef does not disappoint. The food is expertly prepared, displayed and tastes delicious. An excellent place to visit as well as it is not overcrowded and there is no sign of being rushed either. Prices are also excellent. Top rated - special thanks to Keith the chef so his efforts. Too often the chef is left out of reviews but not this time.

Food took to long. Quality so so. I order fish and chips and the size of the fish was half compared with other places. Service? What service? Inexistente.

Great choice of veg etc that a lot of the others don’t have. Meat was lovely and we enjoy going here for lunch. Only thing was a couple of staff finishing shift and gossiping with other staff on shift and some choice of words weren’t great, but I’m sure this was a one off as never had it before

Went at 7pm, party of 7 people. There was no carvery because they had no meat, no mac and cheese and no coffee as there machine wasn't working. However, what we did manage to eat was delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I went to lunch with my gran and cousin and we were welcomed by sherea who was so polite and welcoming and showed us promptly to our table. Sherea continued to be really helpful, and engaging throughout our meal asking if we enjoyed our meal and asking if she could get anything else. Overall lovely food and lovely service

Upon arrival we we got a big hello from Lorna. We were told how it worked pick a seat and enjoy. Lorna interaction with us was great and alway smiling throughout the chat. The front of house lady Tracy she got involved in the chat and was an overall experience.

Sunday carvery was really tasty - the beef was very tender. Great range of veg and roast tatties! Nice helpful staff.

I you do one thing…. Try the cakes. The food is great but the cakes are in another dimension
