Benedictine eggs were spectacular, excellent service and lovely ambiance.

Had lunch here, foods are quite good. Service is good, too. A decent place to dine.

Ate here we had fish and chips which were really good. We were served by Laiba who was really helpful and friendly. Ate here about a month ago and had chicken milanese and 3 small plates.

Nipped into All Bar One before a concert. What was interesting, for a Saturday night, was the queue for the bar - as they only had the 1 chewing gum chewing barman. He tried his best. Only 1 waiter on and she tried her best too - despite some customers complaining. There was a supervisor floating in and out. Tables full of dirty glasses. Overall, simply not enough staff to provide service. Toilets - no paper towels & a broken hand drier. Wine - the All Bar One wine list is a 'best of' the screw-top stuff you'd find on the bottom shelf. Lacks any quality, variety or imagination for a 'wine bar'. The sound system was dreadful - could not make out the music. Summing up - this place puts the capital A into Average. Struggling to see why it still exists. If they keep on this track it will disappear soon enough - unless you love average?

We booked for lunch today before going to the theatre. Service was good from the two young guys who attended to us. Polite and friendly throughout. Place had a nice vibe about it. Prices reasonable, no complaints.

Ordered lunch at 12.05. Waiter came back at 12.13 to remind him again what we wanted. By 12.45 we had to walk out as we just didn't have enough time in our lunch hour to eat it. Only four tables occupied. One with about 8 people and the other three with three or four people. I've been in many times when it's been far busier and had better service. Staff were not bothered one bit and just waved us off as we left. Poor show to a once great place to meet for lunch or after works drinks.

Really impressed by the service and festive set menu. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks: I highly recommend the blood orange marg or the coconut marg. My work pal really enjoyed the seabass, and he’s a big foodie so I trust his judgement. Only gripe would be they seemed a bit stingy with the pigs and blankets (received a singular one per plate, place for improvement). Would come back.

I went to all bar one exchange plaza for a work night out and the cocktails were great. We had a beautiful evening and Daniel service was just amazing. I cannot find words to describe it. He made us feel welcome and looked after. I am definitely going back to this place.

We recently booked a team-building evening for drinks, and it was an outstanding experience. The atmosphere was vibrant, the drinks were excellent, and the hospitality was exceptional. A huge thank you to Daniel for his excellent service.

Having cocktails at a restaurant is such a treat, especially when the staff really knows their stuff. We were served by the lovely Laiba who was extremely welcoming and kind. Not only were the drinks amazing but so was the service! Would really recommend as a place for a few evening drinks and am excited to return to try their food! It's not often I visit a restaurant or bar where the staff really connect with their customers - it was really refreshing being served by Laiba and hope everyone is lucky enough to get served by her!

All Bar One Exchange Plaza isn’t just a bar—it’s a cathedral of cocktails, and bartender Daniel is its high priest. With the grace of a swan in a tuxedo, he crafted a French Martini so divine it could convert the staunchest teetotaler. Every gesture, every pour, every garnish was an act of pure artistry. If drinks were poetry, Daniel would be Shakespeare. Bravo! 🍸

Food was terrible and overpriced, rip off for drinks, waiter didn't know what gluten free meant so my wife was handed a salad that resembled something that had been swept up from your garden. A dog would have enjoyed the burger though as it would of reminded it of a tin of chappie.

Our server Laiba was absolutely fantastic. She tended to our every need and we never felt ignored or ‘too much’. Absolute star and a true asset to AllBarOne!

The building is lovely , nothing wrong with the service but what put me of is every table has a cactus on it that are bone dry and simply touching them made them fall apart .I pointed this out to the barman who said don't worry we have been sent new ones and they'll all be replaced . What a waste of money when simply watering the poor cactus is all that is needed. If you pop in here please check the cactus on your table and show it some love .

We enjoyed a late lunch at All Bar One yesterday. The staff very welcoming, the menu offered a good range of food and a lovely selection of drinks including cocktails. Our server (Laiba) was very attractive without being intrusive and our meals were freshly produced and tasty. All in all a very comfortable and enjoyable experience at a competitive price. We hope to return again soon.

Dreadful from start to finish. Understaffed with huge waits for service even after the staff turned large numbers of people away. Food was mediocre and barely warm, with the chicken pad Thai in particular looked awful. Thankfully the staff must have sensed that customers were unhappy and did not apply a service charge to our bill. This was our first visit to the Lothian Road premises after having excellent service from George Street. It was like chalk and cheese. Will not be returning !!

Completely understandable that all restaurants get busy on Saturdays but the service and food quality was exceptionally poor. Clearly under staffed and during the Edinburgh cocktail festival. Ordered the chicken quesadilla, chickpeas were still hard and meal was overall cold and sad. Many other tables around us complaining about food and service also. When telling the waiter that the food wasn’t very good because undercooked, was told sorry whilst being handed the card machine. Wouldn’t recommended and won’t be going back :(

I've been coming to this All Bar One location for years now and it's always a really good time! The atmosphere is lovely, staff are always so kind and the food and drinks options are wonderful for meat eaters AND for vegetarians/vegans alike! They've been doing a veganuary menu since before it was even popular and they have a good mix of classic and eclectic menu items year round. I went last night and it was great service (as always) from the wait staff, bar staff and manager, can't recommend more :) Edit: I wrote and posted this a year ago and everything still stands true! Laiba was great yesterday and made my experience even better with her attentiveness and fun personality :)

Probably won’t be going back. The food was fine for what it was, but unfortunately about the only mildly positive aspect of the night. My main gripe was the staff. Should’ve known minute I walked in the door, having waited for about 5 minutes (in a fairly empty place), upon being greeted by the waitress with an eye roll and a mild groan that it wasn’t going to go well. When we were eventually served, the waiter was standoffish. Ordered some drinks (asked for an alcohol free beer, was given an alcoholic one as he later pointed out, and my guest noticed the waitress laughing about it after the fact), then tried to order food when he came back. “Steak, with prawns please” *mumbles at me* “Sorry?” “Nooo prawnssss!” in a charming, condescending tone as he lent forward at me. But at least I was actually able to hear him this time. The starters came about half an hour later. Was underwhelmed with mine but it was fine (2 very small tacos for the best part of a tenner). The staff stood backs to the customers on the service side of the bar, giggling to themselves several times during the evening about god only knows what. I’m all for fun at work, but don’t do it stood behind a customer. When it came time to pay, not a soul in sight, sort of just left to our own devices. Less honest people would’ve been able to have a free dinner. When I eventually got the waiters attention to pay (despite his best efforts to ignore), he didn’t allow us to review the bill, sort of just mumbled and thrust the card machine in front of us. Didn’t ask if we’d ordered off the set menu (we had), didn’t ask how we’re splitting the bill, just whacked it down (with the 10% service charge we didn’t notice until after the fact, which given we were already spending close to a hundred for this, I wouldn’t have paid due to the abysmal service).

Went here for an after birthday meal and even recieved an expensive free bottle of fizz, food is awesome, we had great burgers with skin on fries and onion rings, definitely will be back Highly recommend

We stopped in for dinner. We did not make a reservation but they were able to seat us. Small party of 3. They filled up rather quickly. Short staffed but we never felt it. Our service an waitress was amazing. Cat always came back to check that we had what we needed. The food was delicious and really healthy. Fish an chips was also good. Much better menu then the one square bar at the Sheraton. We were staying there an not keen on either of their restaurants menus. We only came here because trip advisor said it was a family place. Only to later read they meant the one in the airport lol but glad we did. Good food. Good service.

Had a lovely meal, we had the 10 tapas dishes between four of us and they were delicious highly recommend these although all the food looked good. It was very busy and felt they could have had more staff however a big shout out to Laiba and Jack who were very good and went that bit extra that it made our experience so much better and we will definitely be back.

Decided to have some food and drinks before a show at the Usher Hall. The menu was a bit limited but luckily there was something on it which we liked. I had quesidilla which was tasty and my husband had bacon and chicken focaccia which he enjoyed. Staff were pleasant and attentive. The only gripe we would have is that the air conditioning was on and it was cold. I ended up having to put my coat on as it got unbearable. Luckily I spotted on my booking email that there is a 10% service charge if it's table service so we weren't surprised when we got our bill but always good to know as there's nothing worse than it being added on and not knowing.
