This may have just become my favourite Wetherspoons in the country. 2/5.

Met our Scottish friends here for dinner, lovely catch up. Nice food, very friendly staff and reasonably priced 😁👍

2 loos, one right up all the stairs. No hot water in either.

Such a unique location for weatherspoons. Love all the retro movie poster prints on the wall. Also the movie camera at the entrance. 🎥 Food is all cheap, quick to order and delicious. It's worth checking out for the location alone. It is very spacious with plenty of seats available too. Not too busy. The staff are all friendly and approachable too.

Prices are extortionate here now! It's not as good as it used it be. It's a nice interior and well laid out but the food is over priced for what you get. Portions at Wetherspoons used to be quite generous but now you get less and pay more. There are still some good prices on alcoholic drinks. The service is okay however. It's in a good location in Edinburgh on Lothian Road.

We visited ✨️ on the recommendation of a family member and my oh my we were not disappointed. This is such a wonderful ❤️ bar 🍸. Prices very good for Edinburgh. Food tasty. Staff very friendly. Looks stunning.

Early 20th century decor mixed with modern contemporary lighting, for a vintage/Modern ambience, the food is tasty, backed by very friendly staff, and excellent service and prices.

Toilets dirty never been cleaned For days. Should have another member of staff going round clearing & cleaning tables. Glasses don't look clean either.

Nice building design, good prices and the kitchen serves until 11pm. The only disgusting thing: Blonde middle aged waitress, probably looking older than her real age, with very bad manners and childish/stupid attitude (almost Dee from It's Always Sunny). If your life is miserable, don't take it out on the customers or look for another job.

Ordered our food on the app. Service was prompt and the food hot.

Even for a 'spoons it was a disappointment. It is what you'd expect, cheap pints and horrible food. Pretty building. "interesting"? Clientele. I got the ham egg and chips, it was two slices of sandwich style lunch meat ham. Laughably bad. The 11 year old complained his fish and chips was too small. You've been warned

Very busy and noisy. Drinks cheap but not a very pleasant space to spend time. Table was filthy and though staff took the glasses and bottles from previous occupants didn't bother cleaning up. Had to ask another staff member to clean it but even then it was still done in a rush and was still dirty. You get what you'd expect from a busy chain trying to bring in lots of customers.

Excellent food and great atmosphere

A theater converted into a bar. The atmosphere is fantastic and they serve food at any time. The burgers are getting smaller but very delicious. The value for money compared to other Wetherspoons is not the best. We will also repeat

Great drinks , service fast but we sat at a table filled with glasses for one hour and nobody cleared any glasses in the area we sat in so it was really messy

Once of the nicest spoons pubs we've been in. Visited while up in edinburgh. Its in a old theatre. Very nice

Never thought I would give a Spoons five stars, but this is an incredible bar in terms of architecture and style, top to bottom. Worth a visit and at least one drink.

As usual very busy but service at the bar near impossible. Not enough staff the reason I don't go in unless I have too sorry.

This was previously an old cinema so there are seats spread over 4 floors great if you like stairs most tables are on the ground floor. Great look about the place go upstairs to appreciate the height.

Had breakfast 09.03.24, could have been hotter, but very reasonable for the price we paid. Staff very attentive and pleasant.

Great place and service. We went in for a quick coffee on the way to the surgeons museum. Great location and menu. Good facility's and access.

Breakfast tastes like nothing. Really absolute rubbish that you have to shovel in there. Once and never again. The store looks nice, but I just don't understand the concept.

Typical Wetherspoons you get what you pay for but to be fair the food was good and hot too but the coffee machine was on the blink and the coffee was nasty

Lovely venue but I’ve genuinely never been in a place that seemed so inconvenienced to take my custom… the guy on the door stared at us for about a minute before allowing us in then less than 5 minutes after taking our seat we were told that the balcony was closed & we had to go to the bar below to collect our drinks. Rather bizarre and hostile.

Terrible place. No atmoaphere, like a school dinner hall.

Very original place, old theater, correct service although you have to go to the bar to order, then they serve you at the table. A little noisy due to the variety of people who come, whether to have a drink, a beer or to eat. The burgers looked good and we ordered very good fish and chips.

Never met such rude staff! No communication skills what so ever , if you work with the public learn to talk to them! Was actually very awkward !

Loads of glasses everywhere. Tables weren't being cleaned. Apart from that, it was decent.

Very spacious and beautiful pub, staff working at at the bar are friendly and helpful, food is of good quality and it's quickly delivered to the table.

Very piss poor. Tables where all dirty with plates cups etc. Asked a staff member to clean it was ignored. Food took ages to come was left under the hot lamps nobody to picked it up. Other folk complained to. Staff all talking and mucking about at the bar when tables needed cleaned food delivered etc. Never again

Found a wee treasure. Only had a coffee on this occasion but definitely planning a return. Unique and relaxing decor and atmosphere worthy of an expensive Edinburgh venue but with the value for money prices Wetherspoons is renowned for. Loved it!

Great value for money at breakfast, and a cool and funky interior

When meeting some friends this place was suggested, from the outside I was not sure at first if I was in the correct place as its hard to tell this is a restaurant. I have been to places like this before and knew what to expect, the food is not going to to brilliant and its going to be noisy with a lot of drinking. I was however very pleased with the burger which was better than I expected and the service was both fast and friendly. Big thumbs up from me.

Extremely rude manageress went crazy because someone spilled beer and asked the whole party to leave after spending over £120 she should be sacked i was in the toilet at the time and told to leave when i came back ? Why .

Wasn't very impressed at all with this wetherspoon. Tables very dirty and cloth seats were stained very heavily. Such a shame as a very beautiful venue and a lovely atmosphere with ambient lighting.

Could be a lot better if the chairs weren't so filthy. For a pub chain that sells food I'd expect a level of cleanliness. To be honest the pavement on the street outside was cleaner to sit on .

Ex cinema adibito a pub al centro di Edimburgo. Il locale è magnifico ed unico, si vedono le tracce del suo passato e l’atmosfera che si respira è davvero suggestiva. Siamo venuti per colazione ed abbiamo provato la Traditional breakfast, tutto molto buono. Un ulteriore punto a favore è il prezzo, assolutamente alla portata rapporto alla qualità. Super consigliato

Ordered via the app, which showed the wait time for food to be 6mins and drinks 7mins - we got our food which was lovely around about 6mins after we ordered, however we didn’t get our drinks until 40mins after we ordered them. Once they were delivered, there was no manners of the waiter, such as a ‘we’re sorry for the wait’. Not happy with the service from the bar, if it was busy then we would understand however, it wasn’t particularly busy, around 50% full. As we were waiting for the drinks the time on the app had gone down to 2mins, however the people around us who had just sat down all got there’s delivered before we did - they got a pitcher which is what we ordered too.

Your bog standard school canteen. Good filler deals in a historic building. If you like school dinners then Weather spoons will cater for your needs. Cheap beer too.

Came for a meal and a few drinks with family/kids, we managed to squeeze into a booth after hopping a few tables. There was a lot of empty drinks on the table as it was very busy so we had to move a few over to empty tables. As one of our orders arrived, the member of staff delivering claimed we had brought a single can of drink in from elsewhere (there was 9 of us at the table including 2 children), we mentioned that we had just moved tables and we passed it all over for him to take away. A few minutes later a manager came over and told us that we’d have to finish up and leave due to this issue of the drink that the waiter had taken away. For a full refund, we had to give back the food they had brought. My hungry 13 year old cousin had to pass back his pizza in order to do this. This is outrageous and not the first time I’ve been disappointed by this spoons as we’ve been turned away previously by bouncers due to our Scotland national rugby tops after a game (ridiculous!). Would avoid this place after all these bad experiences, families not treated well and kicked out for no valid reason!

Nice setting, but ruied by staff who simply refuse to do their job. Every time I've been here, I've had to go to a manager to ask to have my table cleared. I understand that most of the staff are probably unhappy in their job, but it's surely common courtesy to clear a table after customers leave and maybe give it a little wipe. Having to repeatedly beg staff to clear dirty plates from a table is unacceptable.

The worst Xmas Turkey dinner I have ever had. Luke warm, dreadful quality. Sliced pressed Turkey, more like a poor cheap frozen dinner. This the 1st time ever I have left a poor review for food at a Wetherspoons, very sad.

One of the nicer Wetherspoons I've been to with nice decor over multiple terraced levels. It was absolutely packed which hindered table service (ie drink was forgotten about after app ordering), but otherwise staff were helpful in sorting it out. Haggis pizza was a banger

Whatever you do... DO NOT put money into the terminal because it's a scam put £250 in today only got ONE bonus to land natraully was only playing one game and fist bonus pays 15 pound and the second one a gamble to 20 spins wich is the max after 150 pounds in and won less than 20 pounds what an absolute scam the settings must be rigged to high heavens defently needs investigating every weatherspoon I've been to has been the same with the terminals taking hundreds without luck much more of a scam than any bookies I've been in even scotbet and willam hill.

Poshest wetherspoons I've ever been in and the toilets were down 2 stairs not up 17 flights
