Actual visit to Westerham has been ruined by the customer service since. When we visited on a Saturday in August, having ordered some food using their qr code website, were then told they had run out of all food (at only 6pm.. v disappointing, only had crisps left). Our card was still charged for this payment, but I was promised this would be resolved & refunded within 3 days. Nearly 4 weeks later and I am still having to chase the team to respond to me and to get this fixed. Very disappointed by the customer service, I've been told many times I will be kept updated, then go days on end with hearing no updates and still yet to receive the refund. Will not be returning. Enjoyed the tour around the Vineyard next door, much better service received there.

We visited the brewery and taproom on our way home from Hampshire. It seemed like a great idea for a stop off on our journey. We entered the bar and were told we could find a table anywhere we liked. We went to the bar but were told there was no bar service. We asked a member of staff if we could sit outside and he said yes, he would be out to take our order. We waited 15 minutes but no-one came out to serve us. We scanned the QR code on the table and started to order but we're then expected to pay a £1.35 service charge for 2 beers. For service we weren't receiving. Then the system had the cheek to ask for a tip on top of that! Ridiculous. We cancelled our order and decided to leave and find a pub on the way. I think Westerham need to seriously look at their provision. No hospitality. No chance to sample beers at the bar before choosing. And expected to pay for this diabolical shambles of service. Oh dear. Not recommended.

Regarding my "beef" as expressed below, I am happy to state that a sincere, thoughtful apology has been received by us from Piers. I'd like to add that the way Robert Wicks dealt with the matter when he became involved was absolutely first rate. Thank you Robert. And lastly, I'd like to reiterate that the event we held at the brewery was very pleasant and enjoyable on the day, so much so we'd gladly hold events there again in future. You would have thought spending £1,600 at the brewery on beer and food at a client function we organised last month would have been followed up afterwards by their Retail & Event Manager with some sort of pleasantry and politeness. On the contrary. He chose instead to be arrogant, ignorant, and insulting, paying no respect at all to an otherwise satisfied customer. For the record, he was chasing payment of the bill from the brewery’s food outlet, not even the brewery's bill. We, the consumer had to chase the food contractor three times over three days following the event before finally receiving a correct invoice, which was then paid without delay. It is not being asked for payment that is the issue. It was the abrupt, ill-informed and downright rude manner in which this individual chose to communicate with us that left us furious at him. In one fell swoop, he destroyed any goodwill that had built up from what had been a perfectly enjoyable experience for all our party. We shall find another location for next year’s client event with pleasure and if anyone reading this review is considering an event at Westerham Brewery, if it means dealing with their insolent Retail & Event Manager be warned by this. A week later, we are still shocked and angry. Such a pity for the brewery, the serving staff and the owner.

Im always going to base it on their fabulous beers. I don’t drink lager but for me, I don’t think I would turn my nose up at anything. I’m really an ale drinker and saying that, Audit Ale is up there in my top three of all time! It’s on the high end of ABV for a Kent ale so it needs treating with respect! Otherwise, you’ll fall over. I mostly order delivery on line and in this respect, the service and support is exemplary! I have used the taproom at times and always end up wishing I lived nearby!

It's a brewery and it's very fast service, plenty of tables. But none of those savings on distribution costs are passed onto the customer, £8 for a bottle of cider and you're staring at a car park with the roar of the motorway in the background.. £12 for a lukewarm burger from a van (but it comes with chips!!). Really don't know what the hype was about

Westerham Brewery offers tasty food and a good selection of beers. However, they have a policy of only accepting payment by card/chip and PIN, which is highly inconvenient and arguably unlawful. Refusing to accept cash payments discriminates against those who don't have access to bank accounts or credit/debit cards, such as some elderly, low-income, or marginalized groups. Legal tender currency issued by the Bank of England must be accepted for payments, unless there is a specific exemption granted by Parliament. While businesses can set their own payment policies for convenience, outright rejection of cash could be viewed as a violation of the Coinage Act and the Legal Tender Act. Customers should not be deprived of spending their legally earned and legally backed money simply because a business prefers electronic transactions. Westerham Brewery would do well to reconsider this cash-free policy. A more inclusive approach that accepts all forms of legal tender benefits not just customers but also projects a welcoming image for the business itself."

Great place to go and try out some of their range of their own ales and bitters. The ladies had wines and soft drinks. All top quality. Very proud and happy to support our local breweries. The ambience there is great, although the music can be overly tribal beat sometimes. The staff are friendly and keen to do their job. Shae, their manageress was a hoot, friendly and knowledgeable. The food though is at best... okay. My wife and I had their Korean inspired burgers, which were not and tasted like fried battered chicken placed in a burger with sauce. Hmm! Putting that aside, I will be going back.

Easily accessible place. Staff are friendly, polite and courteous. If you like your ales, beers and IPA then come here and sample the menu before deciding on which one or ones you want as a pint. You can buy most on the way out too (but bring sufficient money as they're not cheap). That said the menu is simple but not lengthy. If you like moules, clams and the like then you're in good hands too. Good for a quick lunch or a family treat too. Oh and it's a dog friendly venue for canine owners. If you're not a dog lover then you've had fair warning. Can get busy, especially in the mid/late afternoon. Check it out. One more thing; you can pop over the way and indulge your cheese fantasies too. Literally 50 yards away.

I ride motorbikes (and push bikes, don't judge). So based on what seemed like a fair car park review at this venue I decided to do a winter dry run in the car (it wasn't, it was pouring down) to see just how good the car park was. And I'll have to admit it's well worth the three stars it's been given previously. But I also tried the food and had a drink. They're easily two stars, so by biker maths that's a five star joint. Will return in the warmer weather with my KTM, use the car park, eat the food, drink the drink and I'm sure it'll be tip top again. Cracking venue, felt 'biker enough' for me. (There weren't any visible bikers though).

Nothing against the brewery personally, seem like nice people who make good beer. However I unfortunately had quite a severe reaction to their gluten free beer, probably fine if you are dieting and trying to avoid gluten but if you are a Coeliac like myself id avoid as unfortunately the legal allowed limit doesn't actually stop reactions and they don't have a true gluten free beer in the range like a sorghum beer or something. As i said its not the brewerys fault but just thought id give the heads up incase people were considering it as an option with Coeliac disease.

Having been visiting this place since its opening and having watched it grow to what it has become I can only say how SAD I was last sunday, after a lovely walk at Knole Park and fancying a BEER on the way home decided to call in and get some drinks! The Car Park didn't look busy at 5pm so I was surprised to see a sign that said 'Fully Booked'. The four of us stood in the shop but no one came out to greet us. We realised that the place was full due to a Rugby on the TV Event. We decided to buy beers to take home but there was still no sign of any staff. This is the second time that we have visited a Pub recently for a BEER and felt like we were in the WRONG PLACE. Surely not, as this one is also an actual Brewery !! So sadly we Left. Nearly went home in despair but then remembered there is the NEW TITSEY BREWERY just at the back of Tatsfield so we went there instead. Got Beer and Burgers. Lots of Staff! Maybe it could do with a few more customers! Give it a try!

Decided to pop down (from Petts Wood might I add) for a few pints of my favourite, Hop Rocket today as it was my birthday. Service was 2/5 at best, seemed to have a lot of staff but with absolute minimal organisation. No attentiveness to what people needed, with multiple staff stood around chatting, listening to music or just distracted by everything other than customers. The beer was fantastic as always but we had to leave sooner than I wanted as my wife went to use the toilets and in both the disabled and womens cubicles the state of the place was akin to Glastonbury. Pee all over the seats and no toilet roll. Not what I would expect with so many staff on hand. Gents facilities were fine (just for the record) A real shame as other times we have been here the place has been well organised and much better managed. Drinks had a decent selection. Had to pay £3.30 for gratuity on the bill, when considering I did my own order and when the food was bought to the table (20 steps) the person didn't bring any cutlery frankly I'm not sure what I was paying for. They messed up the order and insisted it was my meatballs when it was arancini for the next table, as I tried to explain to the server. Food was average. Meatballs were supermarket quality, possibly shop bought. Tight structure meant none of the sauce was absorbed, not at all like authentic Italian meatballs but they’re supposed to be a moules shed si mussels are their speciality, right? Wrong! There were barnacles on the shells, rule #1, these should ALWAYS be removed. Basic mussel prep. The mussels ranged from a healthy orange to an insipid pale, almost white. The sauce/liquor was bland and under seasoned. The next day the true quality of the mussels was revealed. We will not be returning, how they have a two night stint is beyond me.

I am a regular to Westerham Brewery visiting at least once a week for a drink and takeaway food, I have held large parties at this facility and I am a resident of westerham for over 13 years, however for the second time I have been refused a seat in the bar because they have bookings for some football match in TWO hours time and they have to "prepare" the already empty tables. This local business with "Christian" ethics has very little experience of customer service and has little loyalty to its regular patrons even to accommodate them whilst they wait for a takeaway from their street food vendors. Nice looking place, but that's about it sadly. Wouldn't have written a negative review, but when you get the same turn away for no good reason a second time you start to get a bitter taste.

Visited for a lunch time drink with the family. Staff were very friendly and helpful. You need to use your phone to order from your table which worked pretty well. Beers available in 1/3, 1/2, 1 pint glasses. Good selection and we tasted most of them! Soft drinks also available for the kids. We didn't go for the food but that looked good. Drinks were a bit pricey.

They offer pretty decent craft beers, the range is quite vast and I guess changing over time. There is a lot of merch plus can buy cans to take with you (chilled too). On this occasion there was a pizza van in the car park so food was available, not sure how often they are there. If you wanna visit check opening times ahead as we arrived like 3pm and were told they close at 4pm which I didn't expect from place that serve beer on Saturday afternoon.

We have wanted to visit this place for a while but sadly we didn't have a good experience here today. To sum it up, a chaotic and confused service let it down. More detail: We arrived to confusing signage and it was unclear as to whether you could just sit outside or if you had to go in and make yourself known. We approached the Moules and Bread Shed truck, to be ignored and eventually greeted by a very uninterested member of staff at the truck. We were told to go inside to get a table number. So we did, only to be ignored, again, as front desk staff were chatting away. Eventually we were greeted and told we could sit anywhere we want. All a bit chaotic and confused to be honest. We ordered the 'street food' and one of dishes, advertised as coming with 'fresh salad' was served with a single lettuce leaf. I asked the waitress and she basically said 'oh well'. Not good at all. Overall the food was fairly decent but the service just really let it down. Our drinks arrived after a long wait, only to be served in a chipped glass. Overall, not a good experience at all.

Didn't have any of the beer we wanted...we were told there was a shortage over the weekend and there wouldn't be any for several days. The staff weren't particularly helpful, knowledgeable or cheerful. The cafe had loud pop music playing, the decaf coffee was very weak and we were charged an extra £4.90 to make it stronger! We were also charged for the first bill without being given the price..!! We won't return. The Garden Cafe across the carpark looked more popular...we should have tried there!

We popped in for an early afternoon ale while in the area. During our visit, there were no other customers on site. A visit to the bar, the purchase of ale and an enjoyable afternoon on the seating outside. No complaints with our visit and the ale was nice. We would return if in the area. When we arrived, shortly afterwards, a van pulled up selling food, that looked like it was going to be there for a while. Staff were pleasant and courteous.

Struggled to book via the app but turned up and there was plenty of space. Both soft shell crab and surf and turf burger delicious. Just give us a few more napkins to mop up the dribbles and sticky fingers. Very tasty.
