This is a cheap roast dinner place but the food is really great and cannot be faulted for 4 adults with 4 soft drinks and lots of extra side dishes it was £50 you are lucky to get a maccys for that price nowadays. Was great quality meats, pork, beef & chicken ordered by my our guests. Just felt guilty as booked for 2pm on Good Friday believing they were open 12-3pm for lunch but only opened for us at 2pm and we were the only ones in there, was still delicious.

Went there for a weeknight meal after a walk in the nearby countryside only to be told there is no food being served( despite there website saying otherwise) decided to stay for a drink and wish I hadn't bothered, the beer was awful and smelt strange, the garden is very run down and messy and the landlady was moody, all in all a terrible experience and won't be returning any time soon

Not good, I'm afraid. My roast chicken was dry. I had to send it back. The crackling on the pork didn't crackle - it was soggy. The batter on the squid was not good. Not quite the meal I wanted forbmy birthday celebrations. A very disappointing main meal although the puddings were good. Staff attentive and helpful. Think I'll try somewhere else next time

Stopped in for a spot of lunch after a walk in the surrounding area on a Saturday afternoon. The bar area was fairly busy with a number of punters watching the rugby. Nice looking little pub where you order food at the bar. We ordered two burgers (you pay per 3.5lb pattie, we had two on each burger) at £13.50 each. Please note that chips are ordered separately at £4.50 a (smallish) portion. The food was nice enough, not too dissimilar to a Five Guys burger in presentation (wrapped in paper) and taste. My overriding thoughts are that the food and drinks were overpriced for what you get and for this, I wouldn't return. Total bill with the two burgers, one portion of chips, a pint and a double gin and tonic came to £48.50.
