This pub restaurant used to be the West Meon Hut and most reviews are still being placed on that site in TA, although the name changed years ago. Our multi-generation party of ten arrived for Monday lunch, having booked the table two days earlier, and were allocated a table next to the cooling breeze from the windows - welcome on a hot day. We asked whether the two young children could be served first, as they were hungry and several members of the party were late arriving, and this was done immediately. The 4-year-old asked his Mum whether he could have gravy, as there was none on his sausages, and a gravy boat was delivered with a smile. We ordered shortly after 13.00, with the 8 adults all having something different from the vegan/lunchtime/main menus, and the order was checked carefully at the bar when it was collated. Food arrived some 30 minutes later, totally acceptable as there were so many dishes, and all the family tucked in happily, and commented on the good food and value. Lunchtime (until 17.00) mains are only £6.00 each, with other dishes from the main menu also very reasonably priced. The children's menu included a drink and a main, with options of starters and desserts if required. The service was discreet and friendly, with one lady serving meals in the bar areas and to tables outside. The children's play area is safe and enjoyable, and rounded off a really pleasant lunch.

Despite the fact that there’s only one other table in at the moment we’ve been waiting for 45 minutes so far and counting, if you’re in a hurry, don’t bother!

Popped in on spec midweek for an evening meal. Made to feel very welcome, service attentive but not intrusive. Food excellent. Waiting time reasonable, and very good value. Have returned and found it to be the same. Recommended country pub.

We visited here because of a very disappointing meal the previous evening at a nearby venue. We were welcomed as we walked in which was nice. We ordered a meal from their extensive menu which we both enjoyed enormously. We can therefore thoroughly recommended here it's ok for kids ( who behave ) and is dog friendly.

Loomies is a well known biker venue. They serve cafe breakfast and lunch food - fry-ups, burgers etc, teas, coffees and cold drinks. They have an indoor service counter as well as a covered outdoor service area during summer months. The car park is always full of interesting bikes and occasionally hosts bike dealer days to attract bikers on a weekend. A popular place to meet up for a ride in Hampshire/West Sussex.

We thought it was good but no more. The staff were very polite and attentive. Excellent sourdough (although would of been nice to be included on a £49.95 for 3 course lunch) and cracking pigs in blankets. Cured trout was a lovely light starter. Beef fillet although accurately cooked lacked the wood fired characteristics. A fillet really doesn't have enough time to get flavour from the wood fired oven due to its size. Other larger cuts of beef with some fat would be a better choice. Accompanying veg were ok but the cauliflower cheese again lacked any of the advertised 'wood fired' flavour and cheese sauce a little thin. We also thought this recently when dining in the Avenue restaurant what a shame there are no real local sparkling wines listed. Yes Ridgeview is in Southern England but some 70 miles away. You've got excellent quality producers like Black Chalk, Hattingley Valley, Louis Pommery, Raimes, Candover Brook and The Grange all within 10 miles.

I paid for two lots of afternoon teas £49.50 They bring me out one afternoon teas, for me and my children. What they gave me is not worth and over priced what a rip off, I was not happy about it. Just be careful buying the afternoon teas. I met some nice customers in there. I won't be going back the third time. What a rip off. Not good at all.
