I took a friend with me today to try out some authentic trini food. The food tasted delicious and the staff were so welcoming. Highly recommend the lemonade, tastes so refreshing

Coming from a Caribbean back ground, I'm always weary if the food is up to standard when I eat out at a West Indian Restaurant, because I eat it often enough. Well the twist in the presentation and menu is very good...the taste and quality of the food is also very good...I've been here twice for lunch and have no complaints...I like the friendly staff, the food obviously and the ambiance and authenticity of this restaurant..

Visited as saw reviews from their previous pop up evenings. We were not disappointed! We had the trio bakes with shark and saltfish, mac and cheese and the rum punch. Our only complaint was the size of the bakes, we was informed that they were increasing the size of the bakes due to demand, so need to go back now that they've done this.

Went to this lovely place on Sunday to celebrate a birthday and the staff could not be friendlier. The food arrived quickly and was amazing and was very tasty! Portions were large and the menu offered a classier, lovely, different take on the Caribbean classics. A lovely little find on Commercial Street. Will definitely return!

My husband had seen lovely pictures on Instagram of the food here and on our day off decided to have lunch there. We both ordered the pully beef, he had the bake and fries £10 and I had the pully beef lunch box £10 and shared wings £9. To say we were disappointed was an understatement. The beef looked absolutely nothing like it did in the pictures and was very dry. I had to ask for gravy although the description said it came with gravy! And only then it was slightly better. The flavour of the gravy was okay, the rice and peas were dry and tasted like it was simply defrosted and reheated. The coleslaw was bad, very dry... I don’t know how anyone can get coleslaw wrong?? On a positive note the bake was delicious and fluffy. The shared wings (spicy) was plain fried wings with a drizzle of their hot pepper sauce accompanied with a few scotch bonnet shavings. The wings were just okay, TGI do better wings on this occasion! Just for comparison. The waitress was very pleasant and when asked for gravy did not hesitate to get me more. She asked us if we were happy and we could not lie and showed her the pictures from Instagram of what we ordered for comparison and she said she would feed this back to the chef. We were given a bottle of water with our meal as standard (which was appreciated) however we were given transparent plastic glasses to drink out of (something you bring out for the BBQ at home). I think if eating in, you should have proper glasses. It would have been nice to be offered a soft drink or drinks menu. I don’t mind water but like a little fizz/ juice with my meal. Then there was the wooden cutlery, which is so awkward to use, again some proper silver cutlery would be better for customers eating in and friendlier on the environment. Wooden cutlery for take away only should be considered. I like to give West Indian businesses a go to help the community, but if this is the standard, I think they have some way to go before it’s successful. I know this is a new business and would not recommend it at present but I’m hoping the owners/ chef take on the feedback and can improve on the quality of the food.

I really recommend this place; me and my partner really enjoyed our meal and cocktails. The food was so flavoursome - my picture doesn’t do it any justice! We had licky chicky jerk bakes, west wings, mac and cheese, west fries and plantain strips. We also had a bake with guava jam in for afters. We loved everything. We drank pina coladas and rum punch... also very nice!! The staff were very friendly. We will definitely be returning and recommending to our friends.

Delicious, varied menu and a great venue for a private party (or double 30th, in the case of this party). Lots of courses, each one yummier than the last and Ferdie was a relaxed and lovely host. Than
