Lunchtime special fish and chips .chips were a little.too greasy for me but overall was ok can't complain when spending £5

First time ordering from here. Ordered a kofta in pita, dry no taste, not Much meat, soggy bread. Also ordered a meat and chips wasn’t so bad but asked no salad and it came with all the salad. No flavour to the meat has to add my own seasoning and the chips were cold.

Ordered online and they rejected it as they have no drivers so now I have to wait 5 days for refund absolute joke

Have been coming to this fish and chip shop for over 20 years but since recent change of owners it has gone downhill. Chips are unpleasant, kebab meat is grisly. Very disappointing, won’t be going back.

Used to be my favorite now it’s horrible. Portions are tiny, chips taste old and grumpy staff. Lost a loyal costumer. Any other fish and chip shop will be better than this place.

Not sure what has happened of late, but we had kebab and chips. Asked for well done meat, and, nope. Barley cooked. And within my 3 minutes drive home, it was cold. Had to finish the cook of the meat in the pan and reheat the chips. Didn't not enjoy our meal at all. Back to Codfathers for us from now on.

Best fish and chips in Drayton I recommend going

Fish was cooked fresh, so had to wait a little while but was happy to, everything was really hot. Been here a few times now and everyone the fish and chips have been very nice.

Lovely place chicken mushroom pie banging.

They make it fresh from dipping into better to frying... I think this are really one of the best for fish and chips.

Ordered large cod & chips & large lamb Donna kebab on evening of 13 November 2021. Fish was under cooked, chips were double fried tasted awful. Donna kebab was cold salad placed into separate plastic container & dripping wet. Pitta bread was not cooked tasted awful. I requested small amount of salt on chips and chilly sause was lumpy & cold. Worst cod & chips & lamb Donna kebab I ate. Feeling unwell two days after the meal. I believe I have suffered mild food poisoning. Have stomach ache & vomiting & Diarrhoea. I believe the current management don't care about food quality & presentation. Poor hygiene from staff .

Friendly service and really tasty, freshly fried cod. Once they start accepting card payments I will update with 5th star.

Living within 2 minutes from the chippy is perfect for me, no need to use uber for delivery. I've only been twice so far, but the service is professional and the staff are are quick. The chip portions are good and I have to say the fishcakes are amazing. For anyone not yet used this chippy, please do, you won't be dissaponted. I'll be popping in at lunch time for some chips.

Went in to order chips and said they were closed. At the same time they taking other orders. The guy had to ask the other guy if they were open while still serving others. Just close the door next time :/

First time back there since they took over the fish bar did not think much of it back then but thought I give it another try ad been a long time and I will say it was a nice bit of fish and chips was plenty will go again 3 and 1/2 stars

Ordered the haddock from Deliveroo. Prompt delivery and the haddock was very good and filling. Only disappointing thing for me, which was no fault of Drayton Fish Bar was the haddock didn't come with chips! Lesson for me, would've been nice to have tried the chips!

Ordered kebabs from here through Uber the kebabs had no sauce as requested on the order not only that the tray was full of grease the pitta was soppy and dripping grease was not fit to eat three kebabs went in the bin Uber customer service is shocking they want to refund less than £4 for a £32 order absolutely disgusting

First time at this chippy and I'll definitely return. Chips are cooked just right, very tasty. The haddock is very meaty, full of flavour and the batter is golden and tasty. One of the best fish and chip dinners I've had in a long time.

Went to visit a friend in the area got a takeaway for 4 of us was very tasty staff very friendly

I had a very large order. I rate the honesty and efficiency of the people who run chip shop. My food was made on time and was thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely come back again. I rate this chip shop very good.

Ordered with uber eats. I always order from.here but last 3 orders have been below average. I gave em a chance because food has been good in the past. But 3 times in a row now..there either food missing or very cold and all they do is blame uber eats. Once i can understand but not 3 times. I WILL NOT EAT FROM HERE AGAIN!!

Absolutely lovely the staff are amazing the food out of this world fresh well cooked the staff so helpful and enjoy a good conversation too you don't really get that in most take aways love this place would definitely recommend it

No social distancing was being practiced customers standing and chatting away without masks but being served food anyway . Cash being taken freely then food being handled soon after. The fish was under cooked very soggy. Chips were nice and fresh no scraps just full chips. Service was ok!

One word the sums all up is CRAFTY they will give fresh chips when you order online but if you go to the chippy place to buy they will give you a mixed of old ones and fresh ones, they will place the worst ones at the bottom of the take away bag ,we didn’t enjoy our meal properly.

Really good fish and chips. Good value for money. A little bit of hospitality will certainly make a huge difference.

All pleasent and the food cooked and presented well

I give two stars only because it was freshly cooked. I arrived at lunchtime and requested fish and chips. I was not made aware of their "lunchtime small fish and chips special" and so recieved and was charged for a standard fish and chips. Together with a drink and a small helping of curry sauce set me back £9.50 The fish was small in my opinion. Batter pulled clean away from the fish when I tried to split it in half. The fish was slimy and not in anyway flakey. I can't say I've had a worse fish and chips ever. . Would recommend you look at the alternative fish restaurant, I certainly will. This was a first and last.

Just had a small fish and chips from here slightly on the greasy side but not too bad at all. Has a small portion of fish and the half chips but in my opinion this is pretty large meal still was unable to finish. Staff were friendly and pretty fast service.

Not the best but still ok. Quite expensive.staff are ok. It used to be so much better.(edit) sorry but I thought I would give it another try today so ordered a large chips. It took nearly 20 min so not what I'd call fast food.they apologised for the delay and said they were busy. I went at teatime and assumed they would realise they were going to be busy and would have put extra chips in. Wont be going back until there customer service improves

Fish all cooked fresh and good sized portions.

Really nice for I phone up they say it's going to be 10 minutes and it is every time really nice food can't fault it always friendly

After Ray left or sold it it went down hill rapidly overly greasy fish and the smell of greasy kebab meat turned me off this place come back Ray

Always cook the fish to order, and give decent portions we always come here, instead of the rip off prices in the hotel.

Excellent service the fish and chips were cooked to perfection. The lunch special is excellent value.

This used to be my favourite chippy. Every Friday we would get our family take away here. Each week it seems to get worse. The chips are tasteless and bland either overcooked or undercooked. The sausages in batter just about edible but not always sometimes the batter is so hard it just breaks off and other times no crunch at all. The fish is just dry. Sadly looking elsewhere for Friday night take away now as recently most of it ends up in the bin.

Decent service and a decent quality portion of chips. There are not so many places that do fish and chips nowadays and some that do are pretty awful so I was glad to find this place.

Never disappointed with this chip shop. Family run and very well run! Food cooked to order. Chips are never soggy. Definitely recommend this chip shop!

Chips over cooked & hard-could have been lunchtimes reheated. Battered sausages-batter rock hard. Fish small & stuck to paper. Very disappointing.

It's been a great many years since I enjoyed fish and chips that taste this good. Lovely batter and beautiful chips. Nothing discoloured or flappy like at other places I have tried. Highly recommended. I have just moved to the area and spotted the shop. hopefully this is indicative of the food quality available elsewhere too.

They do other things as well, but I can only comment on the fish and sausages as those are all the I have tried. Nice batter that has a crunch on it, the fish is fresh and reasonably sized portions with masses of chips. The staff are friendly, hence all very good.

Great fish and chip shop with a really nice bunch of staff. The quality here is of the highest order and the batter is just fantastic.

This fish and chip shop is the best in the area. I normally get cod and chips, always large piece of fish served up and fresh as well. Plenty of chips. They also do burger kebabs etc and have had all sorts from here if the family are round on a Friday. It's always good. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait but well worth it. This is only due to its popularity. They are open all day so no problem there and also plenty of staff behind the fryers when it's busy. If you're staying at one of the hotels up the road it's well worth a walk to sample the fish and chips.

I wanted to start our vacation in England with some good fish and chips and based on Tripadvisor reviews, chose the West Drayton Fish Bar. I got the fish fillet and got my daughter the fish nuggets (more like fingers in shape but actual small fillets). Probably could have just gotten the one serving of the fish nuggets to split between the two of us. Huge portions. Tasty fish with a nice batter. I also got a large order of chips which seriously must have been two pounds of fries. It was good. Next day my tummy was a little upset but I think it was the jet lag and not the food from the previous night. Two additional points. This place is cash only so after I ordered and produced a credit card and was told that, I had to return to our hotel and get some cash from my wife before driving back to pick up our food. They appeared to be very concerned about whether I was coming back for the food; the folks working the restaurant were English-as-a-second-language so I think that weighed in on their kind of overbearing inquiry as to the status of my order. This was also our first experience with ketchup in the UK. They wanted 20 pence for a 0.05 ounce (9g) packet of ketchup (enough for about three or four fries) - mind you we had about two pounds of chips. They actually had on their menu the option to purchase a bottle of ketchup for a pound 20 pence which we opted to do. Apparently there is a conspiracy to discourage people from eating ketchup in the UK or at least using the small packets to dispense said ketchup. I believe the establishment was takeout only - that's what everyone was doing anyway (I got a little distracted with the payment issue).

Loved my lamb shish kebab. They take time to cook it but when it's done it's very good. Stick on garlic and chili sauce and you're away!!

Very Busy and for Good Reason! This place gets packed queuing out the door Why? Because if you want chippy around here this is where you head to! Great fryers great staff great food. Chips were just right! Good selection of pies fish sausages etc. Will be returning here as it’s hard to find a good chippy

This place was seriously poor, staff are rude and have such a poor attitude. Quality of food ain't great I think this place is only in business probably because no other fish bar near by.

Excellent food - chicken kebab with the chilli source was delicious 😋...staff were brilliant.. plenty of parking nearby

Used to be the best chippy in the area but now standards are slipping. Unfortunately as with many takeaways once they get a good name, the quality of food served goes down. Have now given up using this chippy

Had battered sausage and have to say the batter was awful. I'm not from London and if this is the best chippy in London then there is a massive opportunity for someone who can make good batter with a quality sausage. Service was friendly though which is why I rated them a 2 instead of a 1. Sorry folks
