The fish didn’t feel that fresh, the batter was tough and chewy. It tasted like it had been sitting for quite a while in the hot cabinet.

Don't order on Just-Eat, food costs 40% more!

I’m not sure what’s happened but lately the fish seems smaller and of poor quality and the medium chips portion has decreased in size quite a bit, and the price has gone up, so we’re getting less for more money, they’ve lost my custom !

I ordered this thinking it was delivery until I got notification to collect which I was unable to do. Could not find anyways to cancel it so lost my money.

A great variety on menu, very clean fish and chips, outstanding decor a must try hotspot in ruislip well worth a visit everytime and never fails to disappoint. Great service too 😀

Tasteless chips- do not taste as fresh nor tasty when compared to other chippies - you would’ve thought that they would ordinarily make you freshly cooked chips rather than having to ask for the chips to be made fresh! Surely!! That said, there are a great variety of other menu options like veggie spring roll (deep filled with lots of veg and a delicious creamy sauce inside) calamari, squid rings, pie, saveloy. Great options of grilled fish, fish and chip boxes/scampi boxes which are great value for money. Their tartar sauce is gourmet👌 top quality and is like no other! Best I have ever tasted! Friendly polite staff

Best we have had in a long time , short wait and lovely hot fresh food, so much better than what we are used to from Pisces in Eastcote, which has sadly become run of the mill . Probably the best fish I have had for ages .

I had discovered this place about 10 yrs ago - I am glad the business is still going strong and the quality of chips (so can only give a review on this) is as good as it has always been. The chips are AMAZING. Golden on the outside, crunchy and soft on the inside, just as a good chip should be - very tasty. It is no surprise it has won awards in the past. The staff are friendly and attentive.

New online ordering system is excellent. Food fresh and piping hot. At the end of a grey, cold week, with all of us wanting something to lift our flagging spirits, at the crunch of the first chips we found what we had been looking for! Beautiful fish and chicken, perfect chips, crisp and not greasy, with curry sauce to die for! Delicious!

Stumbled upon this incredible family-run fish & chip shop right in my neighborhood - what a find! The best fish and chips I've had in London, hands down. Perfectly crispy batter, fresh fish, and amazing chips. Such a hidden gem with warm service and great value. Can't recommend it enough!

5/5: the shop is very clean and well presented, smells fresh, the food tastes fresh, with generous portion sizes for the price. Staff are very friendly and food comes out in good time. The only chippie I’d recommend.

We have been coming here since 1984, the fish and chips always perfect, we do miss it being a restaurant. We love the refurb now that we are used to it.

Food is always good from this place but think they may have changed something with the chips? Not as good as usual! That apart,happy with our meal.

It didn't arrive, so I had to order again and paid £30 for one portion of fish and chips I would like a refund on my original order

Been coming here for years but less so the past few years. I ordered cod, chips and saveloy for dinner but they are taking the piss with the size of the cod and the price they charged for it! Quality of food is ok and better than a few other local fish and chips (hence 2 stars). My cod was similar size to a fork!! And just incase you think i was using an extra large fork i put it up against my firestick remote and they are almost the same size!!! It was like a kids portion. Proper disappointed as this used to be my goto fish and chips but price is way too premium what what you get.

Love this place, their fish is literally the best quality you’ll find! Very nice staff, and the equiptment and surroundings is always really clean. The oil is fresh too which you can taste from the batter and the chips. Definitely recommended, I travel to go here as it’s worth it!

DON'T ORDER ONLINE FOR COLLECTION. We ordered online from the Aquarius website (not Just Eat or Deliveroo) for collection to save some time as it was Saturday evening. It wasn't busy when I arrived, but I still probably had to wait for about 5 minutes or so, which wasn't a big problem. While I was waiting though, somebody came in & asked for a Chicken & Mushroom pie. No too unusual, and they happily got their pie. Chicken & Mushroom happens to be my favourite & something I would definitely have ordered, but the only pie available to order online was Steak & Kidney, which I don't like, so I got a battered sausage instead (it was OK, nothing to write home about). In my disappointment, I looked at the rest of the menu to see what else they had that wasn't available to order online. Before I could find anything, I noticed something worse - the prices in the shop & online are completely different. For example, two of the things we ordered were scampi and medium chips. These are £7.50 and £3.80 respectively in the shop, but £8.20 and £4.20 when ordering online. I'm used to Deliveroo & Just Eat charging different prices & adding service charge (and I never use these for that reason), but I ordered direct from Aquarius OWN website & went to collect the food myself! There is no justification for charging more. I asked why the prices were different & was fobbed off with something about "they charge more for processing" (whoever "they" are?), or something like that. They already charge a 'service fee' of 50p for ordering online, as well as a 'bag fee', but there is absolutely no mention that the prices are higher or the full menu is not available online. Food was OK, no better or worse than any other chippy. Only went here as our local one closed & this is the next nearest, but will be going elsewhere next time.

Amazing fish & chips. I had to wait about 5 minutes as it was cooked to order but the wait was definitely worth it! Easily as good the best London has to offer. I had haddock and medium chips and struggled to finish it as the portions are large. Well cooked chips and very tasty fish. The batter was properly cooked too and not greasy. Highly recommended 👌🏼

Hello I have a question ....I pay for delivery right?... therefore I would expect (as I am paying for delivery) that when I place my order and it's ready to be despatched, that it is delivered directly to me, is this unreasonable ? Not 6 other delive

Delivery driver arrived but he would not give us the fish and chips because although we had the order number, we didn’t have the code number! He also looked at my laptop to find it! His English was almost intelligible. He was standing at our doorstep and the food was getting cold. I am very cross!

Ordered at 17.42pm and it arrived at 18.59pm. It was lukewarm and soggy. The driver had several other deliveries in his box so I assume he stopped at other outlets and did other deliveries with my food already on board and that’s why it wasn’t hot.

Food is always delicious from here. Love the curry sauce in particular. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

I did eat from here many many times and always they look after me and the food was 11/10 , if you want to get the best fish and chips in town come here guys , all the best , always recommend this place 🙏

Overall very pleased with the food. Aquarius still doesn't disappoint after being a customer for so many years. This order was on a Friday Evening and unfortunately got pushed back 3 times on the estimated arrival. I wouldn't mind so much but ordered with our young children in mind and it affected the evening. So all in all cannot fault the fresh cooked tasty food, the delivery system was far too optimistic and worth bearing in mind.

THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE WORST FISH & CHIPS I HAVE TASTED. ORDERED VIA JUSTEAT AND RECEIVED WARM SOGGY REFRIED CHIPS WITH ROCK HARD COD DESPITE MY ORDERING HADDOCK. Unfortunately, this establishment do not serve the best fish & chips. Apart from my order being luke warm on arrival, the fish and chips did not taste fresh. Maybe sitting around for a few hours especially the chips. they tasted refried and left a strange after taste. Also, the fish tasted like cod, not Haddock which is always my preference.

We have been in this place quite a few times, so far just for chips in some occasion when we were too lazy to cook some carbs for dinner (having already meat of fish and vegs). The chips are great in taste, freshly fried a la minute, what is a bit of a shame is the incrise of price and at the same time the portion got way smaller, almost half of what it was before. I understand ingredients are getting higher in price but I think this is not fair at all. Still have high stars since food quality stayed the same but I think they should know if customers are still disappointed about this

Take out only after last year's refurb but for the better. They can concentrate solely on the quality of the takeaway service. I always go for a plaice or rock if I haven't been to a chippy for a while, just to check up on their quality. Not every chippy can pull off a good plaice. I always have oldskool traditional battered fish, although matzo is an option here. I am pleased to say that the plaice was fresh and done perfectly. Well drained and delightfully crispy even after the journey home. A little on the thin side but that's no fault of the shop. My order also had cod, and sausages, both with and without batter, plus moutains of double cooked chips, so a reasonably rounded order. The standard of all items was excellent. The good old fish and chips just isn't cheap anywhere anymore. However, at Aquarius you can be assured of a sustained high standard all round. An easy recommendation. 2024 March update - still just as good (and busy) as has always been. Lovely freindly service as usual, even when it's packed.

Aquarius is a great local fish and chip shop. The food is always fresh and they serve a great range too. Their homemade tartar sauce is our favourite too!
