For work I visit a lot of coffee shops in the area. This is my favourite and is a relaxed oasis in the centre of Redhill ideal for a chat and coffee or to get some work done. The coffee is cheaper than most but also better than most and the additional drinks are great. Staff (including the many volunteers) all serve you with a smile on their face and go beyond what you would expect (without being too in your face). Before the pandemic they used to do the best food but this is no longer the case which is why I can only give 4 stars.

Popped in for a coffee and the staff greeted me with s friendly approach and a smile. I had one of their cakes which was delicious. I sat in to eat it and drink my coffee. Staff took time to make sure I had everything I needed. I re visited several days later for a take away coffee and the service was just as amazing. Well done everyone.

This really is a great place if you want to go somewhere just to chill out over a coffee, sandwich etc. The coffee and food are all good, but what makes this place so special are the staff who are brilliantly friendly and will always have a chat and are genuinely interested in getting to know you. They are attached to a local Church and are actively contributing positively to the community. Well done guys!

Cheese and tomato, no tomato. Complained and was challenged, maybe i had eaten the tomato. Spoke over me. Did not listen. All staff piled in. Staff insisted they had served us coffee and refused to refund us, three staff said we had been served coffee. We hadnt. . Dishonest. I hope they check the cctv and make a public apology. We were thrown off the premises with their continual escalation of a simple matter. Director took staff side without hearing our complaint. Disgraceful.

In central Redhill with a good vibe and good drinks and snacks overlooking the market. Attached to a Church and often active with community groups mixed with local shoppers, there is a good vibe from a Church community keen to meet people in an informal setting with no pressure beyond a warm greeting. A few minutes walk from Sainsbury’s and yet with an atmosphere warmer than Sainsbury’s cafe

Having never used this café before, I bought a salmon and cream cheese bagel with sesame seeds, crisps and a large hot drink of lemon, ginger and honey. The staff were happy, friendly and took real care with my order. There was a buzzing, upbeat vibe in the café. After a short wait for my bagel to be toasted to perfection, and cut in half for ease of eating on the go, I tasted. The bagel was delicious; crisp outside and with a tasty filling. The hot drink was a real comforter. I will definitely have both again when I go there. I wish I’d paid attention to the young lady’s name who served me as she was super friendly and I left with a smile. Couldn’t praise this café more!

It’s a lovely cafe’, cosy but when the air conditioning is on it’s freezing. The flaps are pushing the cold air down towards the tables and the customers. As there are 3 ceiling units, 2 were pumping the air up and the third one down. I asked 2 members of staff who rudely said that they couldn’t do anything about it. As the 3 units had been setup differently, I was only asking to look into why one was pumping down the air, but my request wasn’t even taken in consideration as they both walked away while I was talking to them. They just made me feel unwelcome.

Love coming here for just a coffee and Almond croissant whenever I am up visiting as I live a long way away. Always have to sit outside as I have a dog with me, sadly not one dog friendly table inside, so only a fair weather visitor. However-, once I can get the attention of a member of staff, they always bring out my order, and usually a bowl of water appears for the dog. Would try a lot more of the menu, except am always stuck outside and cannot look at the backboards inside !

Bustling cafe with play area in the back. If you're looking for somewhere to relax and get away from young ones then this isn't the place for you to siy in but that shouldn't stop yiu from gtabbing something to take away. Whenver I visit a new place I like to support local businesses and as a vegan this means finding options can be difficult. West Central had a vegan falafel wrap, sausage roll and salad. I opted for the latter (chickpea, almond and sultana). Although tasty there were far too many sultanas in the mix which overpowered the delicate flavour of the dressing, altrring the proportions would have made for a more satisfying lite bite.

This is a delightful alternative to Costa and other coffee bars. Young children are welcome and have a little play area at the back of the restaurant, there are chairs and tables but settees as well. The food is eclectic and the Middle Eastern dishes are a delight. All types of coffee are offered and they are made to perfection. Light snacks, sandwiches and deserts are varied as well as scrumptious. Business people (who like children of course) find a relaxing moment as the noise is more at a low level. There are tables and parasols outside as well. So, there's something for everyone. Highly recommend

The coffee is good. The food is nice - though my only complaint is that at times there are no vegetarian options and one day last week every option was pork based. However, this is rarely the case. It is a great place for kids - however, there has been a mass turnover of staff and the new generation needs a bit of work and tuning to be as much of a family feel as the previous guys. Nevertheless, a great setting.

Saturday lunchtime and my Christian friends and I were in Redhill for a big bash at the Baptist Church. We needed a little refreshing after our 4 hour coach journey so tried West Central. Obviously a hugely popular place with an eclectic mix of seating and the messy atmosphere of an all age church with amazing numbers of under 5s underfoot. People queued out the door to meet in this happy place. Service looked chaotic but worked well. This is a non profit community enterprise ploughing funding back into the local community. Could do to fix the Gent's toilet asap as only the ladies was working the Saturday we were there.

If you hate paying money to bloated corporate coffee chains for bland beverages, go here instead. Proper coffee in a friendly, buzzy, trendy environment where the proceeds go to good causes. It’s owned by a collective of local churches but they don’t ram the religion thing down your throat. There’s definitely a social divide though: the yummy mummies and business types come to West Central and the old people and lower earners go two doors up to the other caff – also an independent. My choice is often based on more practical matters, notably which of the two rivals’ outside seating areas are in the sun at the time – but for sure, the better coffee is at West Central.

I would also say have one of the great value toasted sandwiches to make the visit well worth while. The staff are very friendly and children are not just welcome but really catered for. Redhill does not abound in pleasant eateries and places to enjoy a good coffee but West Central is a very pleasing exception. It's owned by the local Baptist(?) Church which is possibly why the staff are mostly young, smiley and most likely getting paid much better than the usual minimum wage. They have regular mothers' mornings - possibly daily - which are in the back half of the large and comfortable inside space. There are also several outside tables for when the sun shines. They do the whole selection of coffees and hot drinks you would expect to find in the big chains and at comparable prices and possibly slightly cheaper. These are complemented by a decent and tasty selection of ready-to-toast sandwiches and paninis along with several very appealing looking cakes cut into generous slices. I can only comment on the carrot cake which is moist and delicious. If you are in Redhill and want to rest your wearies this is a good choice.

Everything is available, no reason for complaint, but with its child friendly atmosphere, and various activity 'centres', don't expect peace & quiet. I have loved this coffee shop and have spent many hours and a lot of money here over a year or so. It appealed as it is very family friendly and I always felt comfortable breast feeding here. The sofas and comfy chairs helped that immensely and I highly recommend it for that purpose. The food is reasonable, the coffee unfortunately seems to have gone downhill to the point that I drink filter over an espresso based drink now as it always tastes burnt. The main disappointment is the cleanliness of the children's area. When my Daughter was crawling, I would have to take a change of clothes as her legs were black after half an hour of playing and moving around the children's area. The toys are also looking rather grubby. I think it's great that such entertainment is provided for little people, but a regular deep clean would help improve this.

This is simply my favourite hang-out in Redhill. There are several communities of regulars who make use of West Central: it's simply the best coffee shop for Mum's with young children, who else would allow so much space for buggies ... and a small children's play area; I prefer the window end, with massive windows, ideal for watching life walking by; and then there are the people who just want a place to stop and think. In the last year the food has improved massively, the lighting has got better and the coffee has retained its high standards. I may be biased, but I just have not found anywhere better!

This place is wonderful. A not for profit community cafe which is miles better than any chain and half the price. Fantastic barista coffee , teas made from leaves and served in a pot, great array of cakes , pastries and sandwiches . Healthy option fruit salad available plus cold drinks , juices etc at very affordable prices, Staff are cheerful and helpful. The cafe has a bright and spacious spotlessly clean interior plus pavement seating. Magazines to read and free wifi . Why go anywhere else ?

This is a fantastic place in Redhill high street, big space to fit the pram, lots of food choice and really welcoming for mums and babies. They are also very accommodating of breastfeeding and baby changing, which is brilliant. Great choice of sandwiches, pastries and coffee- plus they do lo calorie and healthy options! Would recommend this to any new mums wanting to go somewhere friendly and fun in Redhill.

Great for kids with a small but well throughout play area at the back.Love that it's run by a church and therefore supports the community.....better than a greedy chain!!Only thing lacking us some more warm food...simple warm food would be superb.

Popped in here for a quick lunch with some soup. The only one on offer was Thai Chicken. First attempt came- lukewarm. When it did come it was simply too spicy for me to tolerate. Sad that they didn't have an alternative. The hot choc was average.

Called in on a Tuesday morning for a quiet coffee and pastry. Two stars was for the coffee and service which was great. Unfortunately the pastry was disappointing and I can see that it's a popular location for the local mums. But not for me I'm afraid.

Redhill has always lacked 'that place' where you can go and relax in a lovely friendly, clean environment. Since West Central opened, I have to say wow, these guys are amazing. Friendly, nothing is too much trouble, my grand daughter loves the toy area and enjoys playing and meeting with other little ones. I am more than happy to visit on my own, or meet with friends and family. I have got to know the staff and I can not recommend them enough. Also knowing the profits go to such a good cause just makes supporting West Central a pleasure. High five you guys, you have my top vote and support. They offer music, dance and I had a fabulous time at their country and western evening and met some fabulous people. Credit where credit is due :o) x

It is lovely to know that profits from this place go to a really good cause. Also there is plenty for kids to do and the coffee and food is very good quality. There could be more options in terms of food but we really enjoyed the place to just relax..

This place is lovely, the food is great the drinks lush but they let it down - staff are dozy and slow (espescially on a Friday) I have just opened up my take away sandwich of smoked slamon to find dry bread and not even cut in half?!!It is hard to read what sandwiches they have unless you try and read scrawly silver writing through a glass cabinet full of condensation and the range is not very good.ALso walking around shouting out who ordered BLTin a very noisy place is not ideal - why not have a number system like other cafe's?Thsi place has the potential to be fab but just lacks basic organisation and customer service.

My friends and I love this little cafe in the heart of Redhill. It is so nice to have somewhere lovely to go to when taking a coffee break from shopping or lunch from my office. The service is great, they're always so friendly and the food is surprisingly cheap and tasty. I would recommend to all my Redhill and Reigate friends.

Good coffee and good service. I haven't had anything that I didn't like. They close at 5p when Redhill rolls up the pavements (I just don't understand why more shops don't stay open later). So, it's just breakfast and lunch and coffee/tea breaks. It seems to get really crowded with mums with kids at lunch times, which sometimes I just don't want to deal with, so go elsewhere. But if you want to just have a coffee and tea and a chat with a friend, this is a good place.Friendly staff.

Fresh, healthy , dependable food . Great spot to dip in for lunch and a tea. Lesbourne Road best kept secret.

I ordered and received the Valentines Box, yesterday, which was really lovely. All of the contents were very tasty, in fact there was too much food for one sitting, so we saved some for later. Delicious, and will definitely order the next event.

I wish I knew about this place before. I be been a few times and had different menu options. I’ve yet to be disappointed and will adopt it as my go to lunch spot. The Reigate Scotch egg breakfast was authentic , good ingredients and flavourful. The coffee ( cuppa chino) could be in bigger mugs to dilute the strength of the coffee , but otherwise good .

A bright and spacious coffee shop set in a great department store selling beauty furniture (however always with sale prices which I am not convinced about). The sandwiches could do with being made with a better selection and quality of bread. Also the salad garnish has not changed in years - a bit of lettuce, large slice of dry cucumber, a couple of rings of red onion and tasteless cherry tomatoes with a choice of sachet mayo or salad cream. You also get a small pile of crisps. I would love to see this improved and offered a pile of mixed salad leaves and a nice salad dressing.

Really nice rest stop for some drinks and to look at all the vintage cameras. Staff was super nice. It really close to the British Museum. The staff was super nice and friendly. Prices are very reasonable.
