West Beach Bar & Tearooms. in Canterbury

Always a nice cup of tea and piece of cake here on the walk from Seasalter into Whitstable. A quiet place set back from the beach along from island walk. You can get a beer and light bites music on some evenings, and a big screen for special sports days.

Stopped off for a drink. Quaint little cafe come bar. Nice welcome and good priced drinks.

Mission impossible to access this place. If you're in a car, forget it. Didn't bother to visit in the end.

I had a incinerated bacon roll. I thought it was overpriced at £4, cappuccino was nice again overpriced in my opinion.

This is a cracking spot, open to non-residents. Most residents have been here for decades though. The DFLs haven't found it, yet, thankfully. Nice pint, nice cuppa, nice tuna baguette.

The walnut and stilton scones are out of this world! Great little hideaway!

Very relaxed and friendly. Close to the beach. Tea for two and an ice lolly each. They sell alcohol too. Plenty of chairs. Very down home, traditional. Just right after a boardwalk beside the beach.

Lovely little tea spot before a long drive home. Very friendly owners and the best scones we’ve had in a long time! Toilets were well maintained too.

Such friendly staff, felt very welcomed, really reasonable prices, fantastic cream tea and cakes, I will absolutely be coming back and telling friends and family how much I enjoyed coming!

This is a local secret. Wonderful hosts Susie and Michael are so hospitable and welcoming. Home made cakes and scones are divine. Plus it's right on the beach. A touch of real Whitstable.

Lovely, simple, unpretentious little place hidden away by mobile homes. Good food and drink. Excellent service. And best of totally dog friendly with water bowls and dog treats. Fabulous place to get a snack and a drink while on a beach walk.

Great little oasis in the middle of a caravan park. Bone China teacups, extra hot water and a China teapot and cosie. Amazing little place you must visit. Old time Customer Service and atmosphere.

This a place that you can just drop into, off the beach, tucked away back, most friendly owner and very accommodating, we've been there several times and had cream teas or just cake (large slices) with a cold shandy , Great prices. All clean and social distancing in place.

Fantastic little beachfront gem 😁 Off the beaten path (hidden away from the DFLs 😉). Friendly, laid back tea rooms with pints on tap - gorgeous pints of Guiness. They are pet friendly and have a beer garden. Also covid safe... and homemade deli bites on weekends.

A lovely small beachfront cafe where we enjoyed an excellent pot of tea along with Walnut Scones, excellent Clotted Cream and an even better Chutney. The owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming with one gentleman in particular being quite a comedian. In short we were made very welcome. They have good Covid guidelines in place including the NHS QR codes for your NHS App. The hour we spent there after a bracing walk along the Whistable coastline was well spent. So thanks to all involved. I highly recommend the Mango Chutney which was delicious.

Found recently by accident walking our dog on the beach at sun set. Fabulous little bar, felt very Covid safe, clean and oh so welcoming to us and our dog. Will defo return for bar and to try tea room, now to find out if we can drive there! 😊🐶🐕

Delicious cakes and tea for 2 served the old-fashioned way - tea pot, milk jug, hot water jug, tea-cups and saucers, and all served in pretty, mis-matched crockery. Delightful and great value for money!

Popped in for an afternoon tea on my way to where I was staying. Glad I did

This is a nice place to have a cup of tea and a bite to eat. We had savoury scones with cream cheese and chutney, and a pot of tea to share. We sat outside as the weather was quite warm for the middle of September. The owners were pleasant and took all measures to ensure coronavirus regulations were adhered to. There is a toilet with hand washing facilities. We enjoyed our visit but thought that although the scones were nice, that maybe the prices were a bit high.

Took a walk with the dog along Whitstable beach and came across this little tearoom on a caravan park. So nice to find a place that was dog friendly. Couldn't have been more helpful and friendly - lovely fresh scone with cream and jam with pot of tea, served on proper old fashioned china tea cups and plates. Lots of fuss for our GSD and a Fozzies Ice cream. Definately worth a stop off if your in the area

Quirky little place that I never knew existed. Great for watching the sun set and a drink on the beach. Not the greatest amount of choice but very friendly owners and locals without masses of tourists or overcrowded beaches.

What a lovely place to spend afternoon tea. We were greeted by a warm welcome a enormous pot of tea. And my grandson was kept entertained by the toy shed. Perfect setting for everyone.

Good place for a quick bite. Few table inside, plenty outside. Friendly staff. Limited choice of food, but they do have a proper coffee machine. Board games and a small (kind of) playgroung available for kids.

It felt like I was back in the 60's with a lovely gentle feeling, the day just floated away, with a few ice cold beers, and lovely tea and cake. What a wonderful place.

Great little place. Hired a beach shed for the day. Great for children to play in water and go crab fishing. Toilets and tea room very clean and only ten minute walk along the beech to whitstable harbour.
