I am never disappointed when getting one of thier baguettes. These have to be the most full and tasty baguettes anywhere, absolutely love them and would highly recommend.

Went to purchase a loaf of sourdough bread. Ended up getting loaf and a sandwich. Staff were pleasant. Quick and easy service.

So I went to the Loughton store on Saturday, fancied a bacon and sausage roll. They had fresh looking bacon on display all nicely cooked and fresh, the server went out the back and done my order. Came back and gave me my order. When I looked at the bacon in my roll one I only had half a slice of bacon plus it looked like nothing like the thick bacon on display plus it was all hard and brown like it had been sitting there for a few days like a bit of old leather I felt done . I had a cheese cake to that was as dry as anything I could tell it wasn't fresh either. They shelves were practically bear at 8am in the morning to Come on you are a bakers you aren't cheap either. I won't go back there at all now, they certainly lost my custom .

Staff are so friendly and helpful in the Ruislip branch. The shop itself is spotlessly clean and if a regular, as I am, the staff already have your order on the go the minute you step in. Coffee is excellent value and sausage rolls delicious

This review in particular is for Wenzels in Woking we were delighted to begin with in the summer as it looks delightful. dare I say higher end from rival Greggs nearby. sadly it’s gone downhill since the friendliest Manageress Evelyn left. Shane friendly enough but fallen short on tidiness cleanliness in the shop; crumbs all over floors and no Bins in sight. recently the one who serves us, clueless on the difference bet Americano and white Americano. it’s only minor stuff but if you can’t trained your staff on items; then il rest my case.

I’m not expecting The Ritz but with so many good bakeries around these days it’s a wonder this place survives. Overpriced, very average food at best and miserable staff. Avoid.

I normally avoid Wenzels because i feel its a bit over priced for whats on offer. Had a pack of donuts… better than basic supermarket ones but could have been better, and some retro coconut cheesecakes which smelt of stale fat and were a little dry. I won’t be rushing back.

Wenzels may be a chain but any branch I visit the staff are always so friendly and helpful they make it a pleasure to go. The food and coffee is great and prices great especially compared with similar high quality bakeries

I was very hungry, and enthusiastically bought two pasties from the bakery. Upon eating them, I was immensly dissappointed by finding that there was hardly any filling in them, and it was mostly crust. Certainly won't be going back.

When I first became aware of Wenzel's a few years back they were a rarity and seemed to be rooted in areas with a big Jewish clientele, so I mistakenly assumed it was a bagel and salt beef specialist. Maybe that was once the case, but at the moment they are expanding like crazy across North West London and as I've been that area and in need of food in recent weeks I've been checking out their offer in Ruislip Manor, Northwood Hills and Eastcote. It's a very corporate look which reminds you in decor and product range of a sort of Gregg's with a bit more cool, and anyone with hipster hopes would feel happier carrying their bag back to the office than the packaging provided by the famous purveyors of the vegan sausage roll. Baguettes, doorstop sandwiches and steak bakes have all gone under the microscope, and all have proved to be winners - a few pennies more than the Gregg's alternative, by my reckoning, but the fillings seem to be more generous. Pleasant service and, so far, no queues - good solid fare at a reasonable price, and the expansion programme is still rolling along so they might be coming to a place near you soon.

I went in RM Branch for a Bacon Butty at 0710 yesterday. I had a Bacon Butty that was made to order. The staff in there were great, listened, responded with options to produce the Bacon Butty that I liked. The Bread was their own baked bread that was sliced for the order and that together with a bit of butter, and slices of bacon was great! It made my day.

Wenzels have been around for many years, but have expanded rapidly recently, opening lots of new branches, including this one and ones in nearby Ruislip Gardens and Ickenham. I think the baking is done off premises as I've seen the stock being delivered in the morning, presumably from their HQ in the Watford area. They sell a range of breads, cakes and lunch things - pre-made sandwiches and baguettes as well as hot food like pasties, sausage rolls and pizza slices. The food isn't of the quality you'd find at an artisan bakery or specialist pasty place, but they seem to have found their niche and do a pretty good job at providing basic bakery items and lunch food for local workers and there are often queues around lunchtimes. The staff are always friendly and efficient. It's a shame that Ruislip Manor's other bakery has closed since Wenzels opened, but at least this is a local chain and it's nice to have specialist shops as well as the ubiquitous supermarket chains. I'd recommend the doughnuts and vegetable pasties. NB there is no seating - it's just a shop/takeaway.

There would seem to be a branch of Wenzel's popping up all over West London. Including this new branch in Ruislip Manor, near the underground. It's a typical chain of bakeries, similar to Gregg's. On our visit, we felt that similar products from Gregg's were better. However, we will visit a branch of Wenzel's again. Ideal for tradesman and busy office workers.

This was without doubt the worst most unorganised clown show of a dinner service I have ever experienced in my life! After the friendly waitress took our orders it went down hill from there. We waited an hour for one of our party of six’s meals to come out (bacon cheese burger) which was tepid and unappealing. Two more meals came out and were sent straight back as they were both completely wrong. In total it took around two hours for all six of us to get our food. The food itself is of a very poor quality especially for the price you are paying. Cold meat, cold limp fried eggs and a piece of battered fish that would not of looked out of place in a kids toy kitchen. The so called chef/ food warmer upper was so overwhelmed he looked like he would burst out crying at any moment. It wasn’t even a busy service and he seemed to be way way out of his depth! Ordering drinks at the bar was a challenge all in itself as the member of staff was so inept that she asked me “how do you make a shandy” my Sister had to talk her through the whole long complicated process of putting raspberry gin and lemonade in a glass! This place is a disaster and it is not a Beefeater anymore even though the interior is still covered in Beefeater artwork. A new chef or 3 are needed asap and a serious amount of staff training is the only this that will save this rapidly sinking ship.

El Dr. O'Driscolls ofrece buena comida de pub, una buena pinta a un precio razonable. Es especialmente bueno si te gusta ver fútbol en las pantallas del pub.

The coffee was poor but more importantly over a half hour period there was no toilet paper . I mentioned to the staff but half hour later still no toilet paper . Lazy staff particularly the young woman with braces who has a chip on her shoulder and resents being asked to clean a table or get a receipt for the toilet code . The cakes are often stale but I think they have started getting fresh ones lately . Overall this Costa is particularly poor .

Went to order a chocolate Frappuccino. Took over half an hour. Went to order again but a coffee (can't remember what one) and timed it to less than 1 minute. Seems like they can't be asked to make harder orders.
