Good food, but the service is terrible. Aggressive staff who don't listen to what you say or want. A really disappointing experience which has made me resigned to returning the mundanity of Greggs

Me and my family have gone to wenzels (not just Aylesbury) for lunch every time we go out shopping. Today ( 8th of march 2024) we went to Aylesbury and went to wenzels for lunch mine was ok so was my daughter. My wife had a chicken and bacon on a brown baguette, she was quite disappointed as it consisted mostly of mayo instead of the bacon and chicken. We know there is a certain amount of filling in each but it seemed as though they forgot the filling. Could be a lot better

Nice bakery, friendly staff, my card didn’t work and they let me take the goods and pay later. Where else would do that.? Nice range of food, nice and hot too. LITTLe bit pricey than Greggs etc but the food isn’t burnt or cold.

Sausage roll was decent a solid 8/10 But the reason to even bother doing this was the god awful steak pasty absolutely disgusting, no real meat or rotator more like baby food piped into a pastry and cooked never buy a Cornish type pasty from these it was rubbish 1/0

I had never been in to a Wenzel's before. There is one literally opposite my work place. I decided to pop in and get a sausage roll...I wish I hadn't wasted my money. It was the worst sausage roll I have ever had and at £1.10 I felt annoyed that I threw half of it away. Completely tasteless and the sausage (if that is what it was) didn't taste or feel like a sausage at all. The sausage was just mush. Give me Greggs anytime. I won't bother to return to Wenzel's again!

We stopped in Aylesbury en route to Norfolk, and needed some food. My children and I got well filled ham and cheese rolls from Wenzels. There was a good section in the shop, and the cakes looked delicious, though we did not try them. Good value and tasty sandwiches. They need to do gluten free options though, as my husband has a gluten intolerance and could not eat anything from there.

What is it with this town, rip off Britain pricing and non english speaking customer service. WOW, seriously. Forget about the cheap labour and start selling some decent bread

This place was busy at lunchtime - shelves were a bit empty - noticed sandwiche bread sizes differed greatly but were supposed to be the same as same price. The builders all not surpringly were pointing this out to each other and took the larger sanwiches which is understandable. The bread shelf looked good so I bought a loaf for home - like all fresh bread it lasted the day and was good. The sandwiche for lunch was not good - hardly any filling - not good value for money. Tried it again two weeks later - I had to laugh as the same thing happened - the queue of builders had taken all the normal sandwiches and left all the tiny sandwiches which again I can’t blame them for. Hardly any filling again - I will not rush back. Avoid at lunchtime as it is busy and not much on the shelves.

New to Aylesbury and I find myself going back daily for lunch. Such a great choice of sandwiches good door stop wedges, and wraps and wraps they will heat up. They do a meal deal with crisps or a huge donut and it’s great value for money.

The Aylesbury Branch of Wenzels Bakery has not long been open but already seems to have quite a strong client-base - especially for office workers within the town. They offer a multitude of freshly baked breads, cakes and the like. I have visited roughly 3/4 times and enjoy their wholemeal filled baguettes (priced roughly between £3 - £3.50). Today I ordered the chicken club baguette and was - as usual - asked if I'd like to upgrade to their meal deal; which I declined. I understand that management ask staff to upsell when possible but being asked every time does tend to grate on me a little (a happy soul, eh?). Anyway, I returned to my office with baguette in-hand and took my first bite to find, for me, the unpleasant tastes of gherkins and mustard. It turns out I was given a different baguette to what I'd ordered. I think the one I was given was called Pastrami Club or something, so not even close-enough sounding for miscommunication to be the cause, just a lack of attention. I decided against venturing back to let them know of their error and so ate a few bites before throwing the remainder in the bin as I really didn't enjoy it at all. I will probably let them know when I walk past later, but I don't really expect anything in return. Overall I find Wenzels to be enjoyable and good quality, but this enjoyment very much hinges on the staff listening to your order.

Would give zero stars if I could for service. Complete chaos. I don't entirely blame the staff as the management or lack of is the real problem. Staff desperately in need of training and organising. Would suggest it is avoided until the problems are addressed.

We ordered from here when it was Wok Warrior and loved the food and became regulars. We didn't notice much change when it changed to Yoomi so continued to order. However, from the beginning of October the food taste and quality has really decreased so much so that we may not order again. It's such a shame as this was hands down the best Chinese takeaway in Aylesbury!
