Fabulous breakfast with a friend. I had avocado and salmon on sourdough, it was absolutely lovely. Great atmosphere and lovely staff.

Ahora en el pub en vez de su propio edificio, que es el bien. Tenía una hamburguesa deliciosa en enero, esta vez no es tan bueno, pero es un precio tan pub ¿qué esperas?

Called in at lunchtime and had the all day breakfast, together with its toast and coffee. Well cooked, not greasy, very tasty and good value. Prompt service and able to read the newspaper provided as well. Will go again.

We were visiting the area for the weekend with family and had wanted to visit this area for some time. What a lovely village and we stumbled on this little café. Very friendly and reasonably priced. It was empty when we went in so we were a bit dubious but it soon filled up and the food was very nice. The other places to eat appeared somewhat expensive so this just fitted in with our budget. We often visit WGC (family) and will be back at this café.

I visited here in a party of 4 at around 2pm on a sunny Saturday afternoon. It's a great little place with a wide variety on offer, full breakfasts, baked potatoes, salads - i had sausage chips and beans. It was delicious and including a can of coke only cost me a fiver! The place seems to be run by a friendly duo who i would imagine are a couple. They were quick and attentive with orders and served food hot. We had 4 meals, 6 drinks and 2 milk shakes and the total came to £22. We will definitely be re visiting this great find!

We've used this pub as a ramble lunch stop a few times, as well as this one. Staff helpful when I made the booking - and on our arrival, nearly an hour early! This was because we'd come by train to Potters Bar, intending to go on to Brookmans Park by rail replacement bus. However the bus was delayed so we decided to start the walk at Potters Bar instead - meaning a shorter morning walk. Very well looked after by the friendly staff and we all enjoyed the delicious food.

It was a quiet early dinner during half term (Thursday) and we waited over an hour for our food. We had to chase it up several times to be told it's being made now. We only came as we had a voucher for a free kids meal from our energy company. When the food finally arrived it was very mediocre and my child's was burnt, so I had to send it back. We were offered a free round of drinks by the manager but by that time we just wanted to eat and leave asap, as we'd had to wait so long. We've had good meals here in the past, so I don't know what went wrong. Someone should've stepped in sooner to sort this rather than us having to keep asking where our food was. There was no urgency to resolve our wait time. It was only 2 main meals and a kids main meal, nothing complicated, no dietary changes, or special instructions. We were very disappointed and fed up.

Today I had the pleasure of eating one of the nicest meals I have ever had. I chose a dish from the chefs specials menu: a perfectly baked salmon fillet with tender little new potatoes and al-dente broccoli with a delicious lemon butter champagne sauce. Followed by a light and delicate lemon tart served warm with vanilla ice-cream and a a scattering of freeze-dried raspberries. The service was outstanding, the staff friendly, helpful and accommodating and the venue itself was comfortable and very pleasant.
