Welton Spice authentic Indian takeaway in West Lindsey

Roman Josh & a Tikka Masala were the order of the day, and they didn't disappoint. We are staying locally and decided to have an Indian meal. As it was not far away, we gave it a try, and it was lovely.

I was told on ordering 40 mins. On arrival after 40 mins I was told another 20mins whilst the guy was still taking orders and saying 40 mins. Really shocking service. Two people actually got their money back because they were told it was being packed and there three more orders came out

just had a takeaway but it ended up throwaway think i will leave it at that enough said ...... but on the plus side the delivery driver was very nice and polite ...

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a curry ...we unfortunately didnt get to taste "weltons finest " as we placed an order told 35mins after 65mins ...we then were told only another 5 mins ...5 mins .5mins ..if you are hungry i suggest phoning a wee before....so cheese on toast it was ...not hard to be honest with times

I use this place, not because it's the best, but because it's convenient. After a two-hour wait for delivery, I phoned the (very) young man who takes the orders. Apparently, they have had a chaotic night with deliveries, due to a driver shortage. Eventually, his Dad delivered my food, which was cold. I phoned for a refund and was told I had to return the cold food, which I did. A refund was provided, but no apology or incentive to use the takeaway again. There are much better local Indian Takeaways that provide better quality food and service. I will not be using Welton Spice Authentic Indian Takeaway again. Absolute shambles.

Staying locally in Bullington and needed an Indian takeaway and this filled the brief. Phoned the order through after searching through the extensive online menu. Portions were very generous and food was lovely, we had prawn korma which had loads of prawns, chicken tikka passanda with lovely tender chicken, peshwari naan and a fried rice.

Ordered at 4.55pm tonight and collected at 5.25 Brilliant food, I ordered the following for myself:- Poppadoms Pickle tray Mixed Kebab Mushroom Rice Keema Naan Lamb Karai Every part of it was cooked really good, it was tasty, packaged well and hot when I got home. If I had one complaint it would be they I did ask for loads of garlic on the Keema Naan, I couldn’t taste any. There is plenty of choice at this takeaway and the staff are very helpful, give it a try, you won’t be disappointed Thank you

Delivery arrived on time, food piping hot. Tandorri King Prawn Balti are proper butterflies to die for. Nan bread average but the rest perfect. Portions too big.

I ordered some food from the Welton Spice and was told, yes we can cook vegan option, I confirmed that they can cook the food with no dairy, no meat , nothing from animals in the food, yes they said, so great, ordered the food. A few weeks later I ordered a delivery to only be told, we cannot offer vegan options!!! What on earth did I previously eat? So I explained on the phone why they offered me a vegan option last time and cannot offer a vegan option again ? The person on the phone could not offer an explanation. I informed him, if you don't offer vegan food, what did I eat last time, you have poisoned my body with animal products, of which he couldn't answer. I said this is totally unacceptable, no apologies, nothing. I would suggest you stay clear of this takeaway! If you are vegan, god knows what they are putting in the food. Disgraceful behaviour and not to be trusted with dietary requests.

Delicious and delivered promptly. Really generous portions. Flavours were amazing. Highly recommend lamb balti and chicken shaslik.

Simply the best Indian takeaway in the Lincoln area. The standard of food is unrivalled and they aren't shy with their portion sizes.

We were staying nearby and had this place recommended to us. We rang through our order and was given a time to collect. Arrived at stated time and ended up having to wait another 15+ minutes. The place was so small and although there were no other customers in the room, there were staff wandering about from the kitchen or next door and were not wearing a mask. So, I asked if I could wait outside (luckily not raining!) and await our order there. They did throw in a couple of poppadum's but the curries were okay - nothing special. Might try somewhere else if I was in the area again

Had a takeaway from here last night, just simply amazing, thank you very much! Had sizzling king prawn as starter, Sajjon special as a main, mushroom rice, keema naan with pickles, all very tasty

Takeaways are a treat and the whole experience should be a pleasure, so after a few years of not using this place, and reading about ‘new management’ we tried again. Willing it to be great and wanting to support our village business, We placed an order around 7.30pm, it arrived around 9.50pm! We live less than a mile away! And to make things worse it was missing an item, so I rang. The man who answered had a very blasé attitude and was very abrupt. I think he felt he justified the lateness and missing item by simply saying they had received a ‘surge in orders’ that night! So why accept my order!!!! No apology or remedy for the situation, just silence. So I asked how he would normally rectify a situation like this, and he said ‘send one out .....when we can, but we’re busy tonight’ Unbelievable. I told him not to worry as judging by the delivery time earlier we’d probably be finished by then! He still didn’t apologise, which I found unbelievable, he didn’t even offer to refund the missing item! I was in total shock at his attitude that I just ended the call, Obviously the food was not hot anymore it was just warm. The shame is, it actually tasted like it could have been quite nice, but with bad service and rudeness like that we will not be going back. I really did get the impression he wasn’t at all bothered. What a shame.

Myself and my Husband love Indian cuisine. We have eaten lots of takeaways from Welton spice . The last couple of times the food has been terrible absolutely no taste . The dishes we ordered have not resembled the quality of past experience . We tried again last night just to check if it was a one off . No the food was not good we will not be using this takeaway again .

New owners have been in place since early mid 2019 and the food has got so much better, not excess grease, just really tasty ingredients. Also serve pizzas, donner kebabs etc. i often eat their and the kids have the pizzas, wife loves the veg samosas. They deliver quite far now especially the munchy boxs that are very popular and are a real treat . Really very bad food. Laced with oil to the point it made me reach. Tasteless, expensive... really I don’t know how it could have been worse. In terms of Indian food.. I have more Indian in my big toe than these dishes have (and I am not Indian). I have been to India several times... this is not Indian. I have had several Indian take aways, this was bad. I wish I had a curry from a can form Waitrose.

Always chose Welton Spice when getting an Indian takeaway but on this occasion the food was poor. The service was excellent but my curry which was supposed to medium heat tasted like a casserole my mum makes - nice if you want a casserole but I was hoping for a flavoursome curry with spice. It was also billed as the Welton spice special so I expected there signature dish to be top notch. My wife had the Tikka Massala which didn’t have any flavour. Her comment was ‘it doesn’t taste of anything.’ Such a shame and I hope they can return to the standards we once experienced.

Used to be lovely. However Last two times the food has been barely edible. A real shame wouldn’t come back

Hemos tenido muchas conclusiones de Welton Spice, pero en las últimas ocasiones ha estado por debajo de la media. Nuestra última comida para llevar fue el sábado 26 de mayo, el servicio fue genial sin embargo, la comida no era tan sabrosa como hemos esperado, los platos principales también estaban nadando en aceite. El pan naan que teníamos no sabía, ni se veía, ni se veía fresco. Todos nos decepcionó por las comidas que pedimos. Creo que pasará un tiempo antes de que volvamos allí, lo cual es una lástima, ya que el estándar suele ser mucho más alto.

Ordered on a Friday night, advised of a 50 minute wait ....waited 2 hours....food missing!! Do not order!! They then accused us of not ordering the food.... Completely unacceptable....

Decent food, not the best I've ever had but certainly not the worst. It's worth ringing through & predetermine a collection time to avoid waiting. Can't really fault the place.

Tuesday night 610pm phoned 3 times and let phone ring til I got 'sorry there is no reply'. Appalling. Will go elsewhere

Hemos tenido 4 comida para llevar. La idea de 1 estrellas higiene me hace sentir enfermo. La comida es regular en el mejor de los casos, viene en salsa y aceite. Un cordero bhuna era tan grasoso que no podíamos comer. sabor artificial y serena. Una orden que dieron equivocado y yo tuvimos que volver, sin excusa. Dicho otra vez después de haberlo pedido que iban a no entregar. Los curries son muy epensive para llevar, dada la mala calidad. Es realmente un 6 para llevar de Pinter. No te molestes Buck hasta que sus ideas, o ir a otro lugar para su curry o metiéndome en fish and chips tienda de al lado, con 5 estrellas todo, incluida la higiene.

We ordered takeaway for three. Food was very tasty, however, my husband and I both ordered 'hot' (Jalfrezy and Dansak) - mine was the hottest I've had in a while, but my husband was disappointed that his was mild, so a lack of consistency there. My son had Tikka Massala, which he enjoyed, but said was a bit too sweet. Can't comment on delivery - we are 'out of range' so my husband drove to collect. It was well worth the journey, and we will definitely order from here again.

Always get quick service. Sometimes over heavy on the amount of onion and salt however when I've asked for these to be left out I'm left with a perfect meal

We often order takeaways, and the food here is good but they are prone to messing up the order occasionally which is annoying. Overall tasty food.

not a bad Indian take away that will deliver. Sometimes the food can be a little over seasoned with salt but on the whole lovely

Having moved to Welton a year ago, I was pleased to see an Indian takeaway in the village with a great reputation. I have ordered from them at least half a dozen times over the last year and have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh, excellently prepared, and plentiful. It's not swimming in oil and doesn't 'glow in the dark' like some take away food! I have ordered over the phone and via their website, both being very efficient. It does get very busy (as you would expect from somewhere so good), so be prepared to wait a little for your order. The staples are cooked well, and the House Specialities offer something a little different to normal take-aways. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff couldn't be more helpful - enjoy!

Chicken bhuna was melt in the mouth. As a regular to this eatery we have yet to be disappointed. The staff are polite and it is reasonably priced.

Rang to place the order, had to wait a bit as they were very busy on the phone. We picked up the food an hour later. It was all yummy. If you like a lot of gravy (sauce) with your curry I would suggest asking for more sauce as it wasn't a huge amount. All beautifully fresh. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to get another takeaway.

Very poor service, rang to order for delivery , we are 6.5 miles from restaurant , advertised on website delivery to all villages within 8-9 miles for a small charge, member of staff said it was a bit too far and they weren't prepared to come out, explained that we live within the the area they advertise on the map on website but he just sorry and good bye,

We rented a house in Welton on the last evening we ordered a take away for 5 from Welton Spice. Very impressed. We each ordered a different style of dish with a selection of rices and breads. Everything perfectly prepared and wonderfully delicious. Wishing we'd found it on our first night ! :)

We order from welton spice most weekends, and not once have we been disappointed. Beautiful mouthwatering flavours, large portions, at a reasonable price. The management are always polite and helpful. A five star takeaway in every way!!

Just had garlick chicken tandoori and it was fantastic!! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Husband normally sticks to the same thing(korma) so I did the ordering this time and he even enjoyed it, no grease swimming at the sides, onions were lovely a sweet the chicken was cooked to perfection. Will definately order again. Bit pricey could be a little cheaper.

This was the first time I had a takeaway from Welton Spice. When I walked in the venue was very clean and tidy with food certificates on the wall. The Manager was extremely polite and helpful. The food itself was delicious! We had naan breads, rice, a vege balti and a chicken tikka masala. Absolutely delicious, right down to the lime pickle and onion salad. The portios were very generous too, with large popadoms and naan breads, making this place great value for money. Thank you very much, and we will be back again!
