Having ordered the Chinese by telephone and 6 phone calls later it finally arrived nearly 3 hours after ordering . Subsequently I can only describe the meat as like the leather on sole of my shoe . The chicken wings were almost desiccated and the smell and taste were very overwhelming if this is appealing to you then crack on

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT. My partner and I ordered the Salt & Pepper Munchy Box, the food did not seem to be bad in any way, however we both felt incredibly ill shortly afterwards. My assumption was that the chicken had not been cooked properly or had been reheated. After checking reviews, it appears that many have had similar issues with the poor quality food

Have had lovely meals every time,food always hot and fresh .

Just moved to the area, had a takeout 3 days in a row from this place and it was a 10/10 every time. Will be ordering again soon

Ordered a take out for delivery which was a disaster. Doesn't matter what day of the week or time, always told its going to.be an hour. It NEVER is, it is always longer but on this occasion it was One Hour AND fifty minutes. To make it worse rang a couple of times chasing it and was told it was on its way, delivery driver confessed to say he had no clue what was going on and he had only been given the order and set off five minutes prior to arriving. The telephone operator said it had got busy just after our order so I can only assume that all of those orders were dealt with out of turn and got served first Was issued 10% off our next order which is worth nothing as we won't be ordering again! Don't know why we gave them our custom so long. We will use another take away from now on.

Very disappointed with tonight’s offerings. Chicken tough hard and chewy and chips I would not have sent them out they were disgusting. Will be my last visit

Food was not fit for consumption. Greasy, mushy reheated food. When i complained about the food I was spoken to like dirt by the lady taking the orders over the phone. Not only is your food not fit for purpose neither are your employees. Shame on you as a company. Maybe some staff coaching and taking some pride in the food you produce would improve the standard of your business and also so result in better reviews. Any one considering making an ordering from this establishment I would strongly advice otherwise, not unless you like a long wait, disgusting food and a Karen taking your order.

Order a from here tonight waiting hour and half for my food to be delivered and it was very poor warm up chips spare ribs where all fatty do and spring rolls was cold do not recommend Won't be Ordering from here again

Just ordered deep fried crispy shredded chicken, Singapore curry, House special fried rice, crispy seaweed & chips. The food is always delicious and always delivered hot. Delivery drivers are always polite and on time.The portions are more than adequate. Best Chinese takeaway in the area in my opinion. Thankyou for the excellent service and tasty enjoyable food.

Ordered the food 2 1/2 hours ago. Have been told for the last 1 1/2 hours that the food is on its way. We live 6 miles away so I can only assume that they are using a tortoise for delivery. Clowns.

Take a way 2 thirds of egg fied rice chicken balls not nice wife's chicken was mingling not nice when in to bin wanton soup 2 thirds of a bowl was looking forward to it £32 lighter next time I will go out for dinner for that price please give value for money

Food was decent overall but a bit bland. On our deluxe platter the fried crab claws were replaced with empty wonton wrappers. Complete ripoff. Also I expect roast duck fried rice to have more than roast duck and lightly toasted rice.

The team really went above and beyond for us today, stopping at an Airb&b which is an address that doesn't show up on maps, and the phone number entered by us was one digit off! Not only did they manage to work out the correct phone number, but when I went outside they had also managed to find our road (even the locals didn't know it was here). Food was great, exactly what we needed, really tasty and good portions too. Thanks again so much!

Had sweet and sour chicken,,black bean sauce mixed meat,and chicken chow mein,the best chinese i hav had in years,and i got a free calender,,the only negative is the chips aint great,china chefs are better,but the meals were bid,yummy and delish,i will b using again💯

These people thought I was someone I wasn't, I rang them for the first time and they hung up on me for asking if I could get a spring roll instead of prawn crackers as I'm allergic, and they put the phone down . I tried again to talk but they decided to cut me off. These are people that don't deserve the anyone's money or service. Don't bother phoning this button hole of a place. Had to put one star but they don't deserve it. Avoid them.

Very Nice, better then I was expecting. Don’t normally do delivery but this was a pleasant surprise. Not too sweet and generous portion. The only thing is just a bit more sauce for the chow mein, was a bit bland. But overall good experience.

Pre ordered food at 15:15 was contacted just before they opened at 5pm for collection it 5:30pm and was ready on time. Great welcome when we arrived and a quick exchange of money and food. On arriving home the food was quickly distributed and was still hot, all food was very tasty and almost everything was eaten with some free gifts given. We would recommend this place to anyone and the food we got was a mix of meat, vegetarian and tofu dishes.

Only chinese I go to in gainsborough. Always very tasty and generous portions. Best in town

Food was 0-10 and was over priced for what it was. Never go there again! Wouldn’t recommend even to your dog.

I have been eating from here for over nine years since I met my current partner. She has been eating from here for much longer than that, The food has occasionally been delivered later than stated, but in general we now collect it from the shop. We have never had a bad meal! I travel a 22 miles round trip for their Chicken Foo Young and Chicken Fried Rice with S&S Sauce. Always good, always hot and delicious. Friendly service and always spoken to by name. It’s perfect!

The food from here is excellent, my favorite dish is the duck Cantonese style… it’s so tasty and the duck is always cooked to perfection!!! Take no notice of the negative reviews, sometimes there is along wait on food but they always advise you when you order!! There’s a reason sometime during peak times there’s a long wait on food… it’s cos the food is so good damm good!!!! 😃

Delicious food, great sized portions. Best Chinese takeaway in Gainsborough, but sometimes not very accurate with timings ( I was waiting 20 minutes tonight! ).

First of all had to wait over an hour for food, and when i rang each time told food was on way, IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CONTACTLESS DELIVERY, YET DRIVER STOOD AT DOOR, “YOU WHAT” is all I got and he would not put it down for me, not happy, the food was stone cold and so I had to heat it up, they should have given me the ingredients and I’d have cooked it better, it would have tasted much better, I’m never ever eating Chinese again cause of these people.

Always does great food, always on time and even hands out Christmas cards that is amazing to see 🙂

First time ordering takeaway from here, was told would be 1hr 20 as really busy which is fair enough! After 2hrs 15 called to see update on our order to be told it will be another 40mins!! So would have been a 3hr total wait! Very disappointed

Food was average. some of it felt microwaved. The Chinese dumplings were soggy, plastic and bland. The Chips were the same. The Sweet and Sour sauce was almost Ketchup and yes I am aware that Ketchup is an ingredient but not that much. The Chicken Foo Yung Was bland. The Portions were ok but nothing special. The Order was 1 hour late. This is the first time I have tried this takeaway as China Chef were closed and I am not impressed. I appreciate the effort but honestly don't appreciate microwaved food for hard-earned money. never ever had a Chinese from China Chef that tasted half baked like that. 3/10 at best

Not good to much raw onion no prawn krackers with order will not use again this is second time not being very good

They got the order wrong the portion size of the prawn crackers is to small the only good thing is the curry is nice and spicy

Absolutely shocking service popped in to try out their curry sauce and place a large order to be told while I tested the curry for flavour, heat etc (And I mean literally stood there no more than a minute) that I couldn't stand around!!!! Now I understand if the place had been full and I was causing a problem fair enough but it was completely empty the sauce was stone cold so temp checks obviously not being done in this establishment so be warned!!! Obviously left rather disgruntled never to return, sort out your customer service you have just lost out on very large orders on the future wish I'd read other reviews before visiting as they are pretty diabolical too !!!!

My partner has been up all night throwing up and the chicken doesn't taste like chicken what ever meat they are using isn't chicken.. also order got sent to wrong adress due to the the new assistant.. it came late and didn't get owt knocked off the order price.. will not be ordering from here again

Told food would arrive within 40 minutes was 1hour and a half . The spare ribs was over cooked very dry . The chicken satay was awful chicken not even cooked properly . The duck was dry .beef in oyster sauce was awful and runny . So for 50 pound the only edible thing was chicken chow mein oh and the free prawn crackers .. Avoid

Had a beef & tomoto last night, couldn’t chew the beef. My wife had house special crispy noodles and the beef in that was the same . It spoiled the meal . When you pay good money for a takeaway it should be edible

Last time I ordered with these they missed off a item, when I rang to query it they said I hadn’t even ordered it , ( which I did ) I had them read it back . Tonight I ordered 90 mins ago and still waiting!! Rang 15 mins ago to see where it was and their reply was .. we’re waiting for driver !!! Think it’s timd to find a new Chinese !!!

Very bad service we order chicken fried rice and it was came as egg fried rice. We requwst her to change with chowmin or same rice but they said no they cant do anything .i need to order new .i feel thay there is not a customer service its their decision it right or wrongvwe have to it what comes . For us its like wate of money.

Waste of 20 quid food was greasy and tasteless I won't be ordering again made me feel ill!!

Well the only nice things about the meal was the egg fried rice, free prawn crackers and the litte bit of lettuce with the duck. The duck was over cooked, dry and about 5 bits of it. The noddle were very greasy and the beef in the curry was very chewy so will not order from again

Had three meals from here over the last three months, We have the Beef Curry, Beef Chow mein, Mushroom fu yung, and Chicken fried rice. Absolutely delicious! Having tried all the other Chinese takeaways over the years, including Bawtry & Retford, this is one of the best we have had. Simply couldnt find fault with any of the dishes we have tried, except perhaps the BBQ Ribs were a bit dry, but still would be happy to give 10/10 on all counts. . .

Going on this evenings visit, the shop was clean with a new fascia and new interior but the food was bland, no flavour and visually unappetising. The only thing to save this from a 1 star was on 2 previous occasions the food was OK.

Very nice I thoroughly enjoyed my Mushroom curry with chicken fried rice, and my husband enjoyed the sweet N sour chicken

Absoloutly Shocking. Meat clearly cooked the night before that they didn't sell, no colour, no flavour, veg was raw as it comes & to top it all off, a black hair in the chips that were hard & re-cooked, shrivelled & bland. Wouldn't even feed this to my animals.
