Wee Dehli Indian takeaway in Highland

I am normally a fan The Wee Delhi. But, on this occasion the food was awful. A Chicken Tikka Marsala. The chicken was quite nice , but the sauce was awful. It was like coconut soaked in tomato kectchup. It was so incredibly sweet ,much more akin to a sloppy desert rather than a Masala sauce. Not a hint of curry flavour. What a shame. I would be reluctant to buy another meal there. There are obviously no set ingredients to guarantee any dish. The wee Delhi special which I usually have , is meant to have green peppers ,more often than not , they not included in this dish.

Food was good but waiting time to pick up a carryout was appalling. Told it would take 45min was OK but then had to wait a further 30 min. Not good service

Takes AGES ! Went early on a sat night was the only customer till took for ever Did not enjoy the kebab , was old meat not fresh!

Have ordered from them a few times and always enjoyed the food. Plenty selection, reasonably priced. Staff are great if you do have a problem. Last order was done as a pre order, 15 minutes late, but friendly driver and it was still piping hot and well packed so all in tact.

I agree with the previous review.Don't know who was cooking but they are certainly not experienced in Indian cookery. Is definitely well below the previous standard from the Wee Dehli.Don't waste your money !!

Arrived 20 mins late. Meal was bland and watery, chicken was rubbery, garlic uncooked and even the Chutney Selection was watery. Poppadoms were soft too. Will be giving this place a wide berth from now on

Had many a fantastic meal from here over the years and worked my way through the whole menu, always been overwhelmed at the quality and taste! Vegetarian/vegan/gf options a plenty!

Fantastic wee Indian for a delivery. Food is delicious and plenty of it. Came on time and food still hot when delivered.

Housemate and I ordered: Chicken pakora Meat bhajis Butter chicken Vindaloo Keema naan Overall very good, pakora was excellent and housemate loved the vindaloo. Naan was the weakest part, didn't taste of much but everything else was at least very good.

This has got to be the way Indian takeaway in town ? Along with the excellent service we always receive from Tam and his friendly staff , both the quality & quantity you get here are amazing . Never a thing left after eating and we are making our way thru the menu and have yet to be disappointed.

We wanted a slight change from the Scottish cuisine and opted for something spicy. We chose this Indian cuisine and was excellent choice. The Naan garlic and cheese were outstanding. Vegetable Saag one of the best we have had. My wife liked Korma but a little too much Coconut for her taste. Delivery was exceptional and great.

Honestly great service and quality, the food is amazing, we have used this a few times now and its never let us down. Well worth trying.

Our order was over an hour late and when it arrived part of it was missing. It took another hour to get the missing food. I rang to complain, I was told I have a bad attitude ! After speaking to others apparently this happens frequently. Will not be ordering again.

Ordered a special biryani and keema nan neither was good and both binned, the beef in the biryani was very hard and chewy and the keema nan lacked decent meat it was like dried chopped mince. I had previously ordered from here and the food was top notch...What's happened?...lost customer not even worth a one

Regular takeaway of mine, order meal for Wife and myself to share. The wife has allergies and they happy to adjust meal for her. On busy nights can be waiting while for delivery but the food is A class and well worth the wait.

Whenever I visit a new Indian chicken tikka bhuna is my go-to. In Inverness for a few days chose this one following reviews, have to say it was excellent - place is a bit out of the way but it was worth the trip

Prawn butterfly was battered in ruskoline, very chewy and tough. Samosa was okay tasted better. Chciken Korma couldn't eat it was that bad.

Ordered a delivery a few hours before we needed it. Were told they would try to get it as close as possible and the timing was perfect, even accounting for the difficulty other deliveries have had finding the house. Food was well packaged and hot when it arrived. Popadoms were somewhat surprisingly perfectly in-tact too! Curries of differing heats all went down fantastically and were polished off enthusiastically.

Food arrived roasting hot.(and well within time said) Dished it out........ First to last bite was tasty and full of flavour.... Nothing not to like😋

This has become a regular haunt of ours now when we want an Indian takeaway. Great delivery service, who always deliver on time. Friendly and polite staff when collecting. Food is really good. Love the Chicken chilli garlic and the veggie was is the best I have had. The onion bhaji’s are super.....round...like they should be and really tasty. The takeaway restaurant always looks spotless and they have good social distancing markings. They also give a discount to NHS workers which I think is an absolute credit to them. If you haven’t been, go. If you have been before and was disappointed, try again....it is really good.

Got a takeaway from here the other night, korma sauce was tasty however rest of it wasn’t up to much and had better elsewhere

Placed our order over the phone and it was ready to collect in 20 minutes. Was a very tasty meal...chicken tikka off the bone was delicious... will be ordering again!

Had a takeaway for our wedding Anniversary Wish I hadint was not well afterwards phoned to tell them but the manager was not helpful Will ot go back

If you want a nice Indian meal I would highly recommend, all freshly cooked and no hanging about. Dishes are full of flavours and not the horrible pepper taste you get from poor competitors.

We come to Inverness from Edinburgh and picked up a takeaway from the wee Delhi. It was delicious. It was a bit more expensive than I’m used to in Edinburgh but definitely will be back.

Hi we tried this place for the first time the other night as our usual place was closed .Im sorry to say now but we are sticking with the Wee Delhi as the service , quality & quantity was just superb. From starter, nan & main meal it was just delicious. The heat was perfect warming with a little build up and the best ever pakoras mmmm . We are now for sure new customers as it was all delivered fresh & hot and in a good time , can’t be beaten I reckon ?

It’s been years since I’ve had an Indian meal (sit in or take away) in Inverness because I’ve had so many disappointments. Tried Wee Delhi tonight and now remember why. Really poor. Chicken dry. Sauce full of raw garlic. No depth of flavour. Naan doughy. I’ll wait until I’m next in Glasgow where there’s an abundance of top quality Indian restaurants for my next meal. You may wish to do the same.

Placed an order for delivery which arrived in good time and was still very hot. Starters and mains were delicious and good portions. I’ll definitely be back!

We ordered a home delivery which arrived quickly and was simply delicious! Full of taste, generous portions and reasonably priced. Would honestly recommend. Wouldn’t go anywhere else now!

Absolutamente deliciosa cocina del norte de la India.Yo prefiero los platos más calientes; comí un camarón rey Madras anoche (¡y hoy para el almuerzo, porciones generosas!) mi esposa comió biryani de verduras, también comimos un plato y un pan, pero esta vez tuve una dieta que tenía que perder en los platos de acompañamiento.Siempre cocinado fresco, pero no lento, y popular.Mejor comida india para llevar en Inverness, espero que abran un restaurante.

I reviewed this Indian takeaway a couple of years ago and wasn’t particularly impressed by the quality of the food and hence never went back and forgot about it. I was up in Milton of Leys and popped into the co-op and saw the takeaway restaurant just along the road so popped in for a menu. It looked absolutely spotlessly clean and the gentleman behind the desk was so gentlemanly and lovely how could I not give it another go.

Good food here, have tried a number of dishes from the menu and all have been a delight! Would definitely recommend this place!

Ordered a home delivery. Slick reception of details over the phone. Courteous and clearly spoken staff. Meal arrived in 25 minutes although quoted it might take 45 on a Saturday night. Vegetable Vindaloo - perfect and generous. Pilau rice - perfect. Prawn Birhyani - perfect. And an order of vegetable samosa. Now stuffed to the gunwales. This restaurant/takeaway just gets better and better.

Wonderful never fails to deliver full of great taste freshness and full on satisfaction everytime when called upon, fast good delivery service and excellent dishes with a good menu selection and very nice portion sizes i wish it was in my home town ...

This is surely the best Indian Take Away restaurant in Inverness. Never lets us down and the staff are always ready to help. You have to try the lemon chicken but every dish we have had has been excellent.

Ordered a meal to be delivered while visiting family. The food came in good time and was hot and tasty. Good size potions.

Firstly and most imporantly the food is great, lovely flavorsome currys with lovely fresh meat and ingredients. Always had fast and friendly service, the actual place is nice as well being fresh and modern.

We have visited Wee Delhi twice recently and have been most impressed with the quality of the food and the service on both occasions.We have tried dishes which were new to us and all could not be faulted. The place is spotless and staff very pleasant. Easy parking outside.We will certainly be making more visits here and will/ have already recommended to others.

Just received takeaway and it was absolutely terrible. Chicken was about week old, sauce was terrible and have no words to describe the chips. Will not be back again

Was recommended by friends. We ordered chicken tikka - it was curdled, chicken very dry and a nasty colour of watery sauce yuk, chicken korma -was very watery, spilt all over bag as lid not on and chicken very dry rice, shahee rice tasteless and special fried tasted the same as shahee without the almonds and cashew nuts rice, tandoori chicken - non edible so dry and looked that it was left for days as you could bounced it it was that rubbery and breast portion tasted off, onion bahjis - were burnt but once you broke burnt parts off it was ok. Ordered extra yoghurt sauce only received one to do onion bahjis and tandoori chicken. Would not go back

Wee Dehli is so consistent I've never had a bad meal and have 2 or 3 a month. The staff are always helpful. Called as my partner can't have dairy and the staff really helped point out dishes she could have. Tried them all and this wins hands down.

ordered aloo gobi, brinjal bhaji and bhindi bhaji...the latter two very hard to get even when on menu and ordered a roti which was off menu...food arrived quickly and bloody delicious...will definitely be where we order Indian food from now on...many thanks

Pakora was bought at cash and carry so was nan bread and onion baji chicken tikka tandoori was full of liquid not cooked in a tandoori oven and like rubber worst Indian meal in inverness yet half of it is in kitchen uneaten

Local to us and first time we have tried it as new to area - pleasantly surprised food was good fresh and well cooked not overdone delivery was quick and overall would thoroughly recommend

1st order following recommendation and we were not disappointed. Our dishes were superb, chicken was moist, sauces had great flavour and were not oily at all. Delivery arrived on time. Great to have found an Indian takeaway in Inverness that we like. Will definitely be back.

First time we have ordered a takeaway from the Wee Dehli. We phoned and ordered and were told it would be ready to collect in 25 mins. We arrived before this but it was ready when we arrived. Lovely clean waiting area and staff were friendly and efficient.

Not a bad curry but not the best eithert, found the pilau to be somewhat greasy and the peshwari naan was overly sweet, almost dessert like. Will try again though

Just been to the wee Delhi for the first time and will defiantly be back, it's was the best Indian takeaway we have ever had, the rice was amazing. We ordered chicken nantara which the chef hadn't made before and wasn't on the menu but it was no trouble for him to make it. The flavours through it was amazing and defiantly will be back for it again! Served by lovely friendly staff,

Saturday night takeaway from Wee Dehli at Milton of leys is always good.Lovely Curries.I had the Delhi special and hubby had Lemon chicken.The cheese and chilli nann bread is to die for.

After living in Glasgow for 20 years I have always felt let down by the curries on offer in Inverness however tried Wee Dehli last night and was very pleasantly surprised. Cracking garlic chilli lamb. Great friendly service. Full marks.

Nice Indian food at its best. The chicken Korma is great nice and creamy the naan bread comes warm and is a big size. We always collect and is always ready when they have said. We will be back again.

Remember The Golden Rose of Bengal that sat by the Ness next to Ness Bridge? Its owners retired twenty years ago and passed the mantle of No. 1 to The Rajah in Post Office Lane. Since Inverness's restaurant base exploded the quality of food served by Indian Restaurants has plummeted and in the past three years I have searched in vain for a restaurant that is worth visiting more than once. Until last night, in pouring rain, when I discovered The Wee Delhi.

Popped in for a snack whilst passing, chicken pakora is fantastic with the yellow sauce! Had a paratha recently too which was great with chicken jeera! Was sad when it finished but not left feeling empty! Might have to get another one soon!

I went just before closing to order, don't do this, they don't like it! Ordered a lamb jalfrezi with naan, it was amazing! Highly recommend, I'll definitely come again.

They had naan popadoms it had a chilly vibe and the boy that served me was incredibly rude but i didnt rice to him i just kept calm and curried on!!

Had a chicken chat with a couple of puri, chat had loads of flavour, nice moist chicken and the veg had plenty bite to it! Puri were perfectly fried but not drowned in oil, now a regular snack for me when passing by.

I've tried pretty much all the Indian takeaways in Inverness and this was by far the best. very tasty, excellent spices, and no scrimping on the meat which was good quality too. I will certainly be returning...long may the quality continue and the great customer service

I had a great Vindaloo which wasn't just heat but full of flavour where individual spices could be identified. The plain Naan I chose also did not disappoint. These along with plain boiled rice were only £11.60 when I collected them myself. This my first visit but certainly won't be my last. Ample portion also a nice strong bag.

Recently opened in Milton of Leys, this take away serves delicious Indian food. The lamb Rogan Josh was my favourite, as was the Keema Nan.

Was absolutely brilliant food , very flavoursome and hot on arrival, kids enjoyed the food too, only downfall was our poppadum's did not arrive , but after telephoning they delivered them quickly, very helpful delivery driver.

Tried out this new Indian, Wee Dehli, in Milton of Leys, Inverness. It's fantastic. The food is delicious and service top notch. They are busy, but that's an indication of how good the food is. Even our kids enjoyed it. The chilcken tikka, madras and pakoras have all proved to be firm favourites. Really delicious and have been several times, not once disappointed.

Delighted to receive a menu through our door for this restaurant otherwise we may never have heard of it. Ordered a delivery takeaway that came in a reasonable time with a friendly and pleasant driver. The special chicken was most tasty though the chicken was very dry, and the was applicable to all our dishes. The pashwari nan was delicious. The taste of all dishes we ordered was good but the produce used, ie chicken, onion, peppers were of poor quality and very obvious. Hopefully, ts will be addressed and then we will be looking at an very good indian takeaway that will give the others a run for their money...not yet though. I shall try again in another three months to see if the quality of produce has improved otherwise i am sticking with the Rajah.

Not that Inverness needs it, but yet another top notch Indian takeaway. This one's up there with the best the city has to offer. Was really busy when we visited (always a good sign) but still got really flavourful curries - our order ranged fro the humble chicken korma via lamb bhuna to a spicy madras and didn't disappoint at any turn. Ideally positioned to serve a swathe of the city that is slightly bereft of hot food takeaway/delivery options. Highly recommended.

This is our 4th meal and it is consistently excellent. Food is of good quality, service friendly, and reasonably priced. Look forward to many more carry outs!

I love a curry and in Inverness we are spoilt for choice. I can honestly say this place is a cut above the curry I got from here was excellent, I had to wait a while to be served as they were really busy but it was worth the wait. I now realise they deliver so next time I can order from home.

Gave this new takeaway a shot for the first time at the weekend. We were delighted with our meal, really flavoursome and great quality. Will definitely be our first Indian of choice for the future.

I was pleased an Indian takeaway had opened in Milton of Leys but after one visit, there's no way I'm going back.
