Websters Bar and Bistro in Glasgow City

Clatty Pats camina como un Glaswegian Después de haber sido un visitante regular el jueves por la noche de Clatty Pats allá por los años 90, estaba deseando esta obra. He estado en varias obras de teatro en Websters y siempre he disfrutado de la experiencia. Pero esta vez no. La obra fue cruda y hortera con un elenco amateur. Era como ver un karaoke muy malo. Sin historia, cantando fuera de tono y tropezando con sus líneas. Realmente terrible. Debió darse cuenta al principio de que iba a ser horrible cuando 2 de los miembros masculinos del elenco estaban vestidos con muy poco y animando al público a obtener fotografías y azotar sus traseros desnudos. Si se invirtieran los géneros habría denuncias. Horrible "show", extremadamente decepcionado.

Esta fue nuestra primera visita al Teatro Webster y decidimos comer algo de antemano. No habíamos reservado, pero fuimos capaces de sentarnos en el 'cómodo'. La masticación - dar era sabrosa y servida con pan, las brochetas de haloumi eran bastante pequeñas (ya que venían del menú de platos pequeños) y nosotros. teníamos algunas patatas fritas a un lado. Un par de copas de vino nos preparó para el espectáculo (que fue una absoluta sorpresa). Feliz de volver aquí, ya que la comida es buena y el personal amable.

The guys behind the bar absolutely make this place ! It is a small friendly pub with music on Saturday night. The sign outside actually says Succession.

We go here regularly for drinks when attending shoŵs....we attended a magic show on Saturday 24th Feb 2024 and it was a complete rip off.....amateur at best and might work for a group of 5 year olds but adult entertainment it was not plus cost a bleeding fortune ....very disappointing it was so bad we didn't return after the interval. We should have realised it would be pathetic as there were only a handful of people there....I hope Websters thoroughly check future presentations as their reputation will be in the gutter if shows like this continue ... The only saving grace was the ambience in the bar area and lovely helpful bar staff.

Maybe best to think again. Travel and dinner were arranged around a visit to the pantomime with our grandchildren. They were really looking forward to it. But today, Websters told us the production company had cancelled the performance, it seems because low ticket sales meant it wasn’t worthwhile for them. The other options we had at the time have now all gone so their cold, calculated decision has left us high and dry. We won’t even consider visiting Websters again.

Pleasant staff who made up a cocktail, bright main bar with a smaller lounge off. Not sure I'd want to sit outside on the busy GW Road. We were there for a play in the theatre; good seating, good visibility, but the loos are at the back and side of the stage, so anyone going for a wee joined the cast! To get to the loos, you have to go down the stage, through the foyer, through the bar, through the lounge, up the stairs to tiny loos crowded at the interval.

You’ve heard of pop up eateries and bars, this is one that randomly pops down, closing its heavy doors seemingly at random and is about as reliable in its opening times as public toilets in Ullapool in winter. Seriously, whoever owns this bar must enjoy pumping money down the drains and into the Kelvin. So annoying. Sort yourselves out for goodness sake.
