Yet again, I find this pub closed despite their website saying it is open!! The landline phone number is invalid and the information is obviously out of date! As a local, who is interested in seeing the pub open again, I am increasingly frustrated at the lack of information about what is happening. If the new tenants want to regain back their old customers, they need to do far better in communication with the new opening, than they are doing at present.

What can I say….. great food and wonderful customer service. 10 of us were playing at a local golf course and wanted breakfast before our round. I had read the reviews and contacted the pub. As it stood, the opening times of the pub didn’t work with our confirmed tee off time but the owner accommodated us by opening early. The deluxe breakfast was huge and we all loved it!!!!! The food and the staff were amazing and all of us said it was the best breakfast we’d had on our golfing travels. We will definitely be using this place again and I can’t thank the owner and staff enough for all their hard work in accommodating us.

The pie I had was the best pie I’ve EVER had, my sister and mum both had lasagne and they said it was soooo soo tasty!! The portion sizes are great, the chips were the best chips I’ve ever tasted & it was all freshly cooked & made with love! overall the food and service was 10/10 and I couldn’t fault it! Thankyou for a great meal and service!

First time of visiting here and it definetly won't be the last. Service was friendly and welcoming. The attention to detail for our 18mth old was amazing and more, offered to bring out when ready which was helpful, the baby friendly plates and cutlery and the size portion for the price was amazing. Our food was hit, quality very yummy and the puddings the same Great place to eat, amazing food and drinks and amazing service.

I've been here several times to eat and drink & always have a laugh. My favourite has been the sizzler, which is a choice of chicken or steak, with various stir fried veg in sauces all served on a hot plate which is still sizzling when it arrives. You get potatoes or chips with salad - a proper bargain. My other favourite for when I am being good is a jacket potato with cheese and beans - simple but delicious. Hot, fresh and great value for money. Makes it really easy to return here time and time again.

We visited the Weavers for our first post Lockdown meal out. Glynn has clearly been very busy decorating both the bar and the lounge and the place was immaculate. We chose to eat off the lunchtime special menu and it was extremely good quality as always and unbelievable value. My pint of Eagle was perfectly kept. The social distancing, sanitisation and track and trace were all effective but didnt intrude on our family meal. Next time will be an evening meal off the full menu - as we are totally confident that the Weavers has taken every possible precaution. Glynn is a great host and runs a fine pub.

We came here for a birthday celebration on recommendation, we had sharer starters which we enjoyed. When it came to the mains we were slightly disappointed. The mash, Fresh veg, and salad were lovely, however, the fish platter was just frozen fish thrown in the fryer, our steak which was ordered rare was over cooked, and the Diane sauce was just like peppery water. The meat in the steak and kidney pudding was inedible. I know that the waiter heard me make a comment to a family member about the quality of the food, and ignored it. If we had been asked how our meal was at any point, during, after the meal or even while paying the bill, I wouldn’t have felt the need to give this negative feedback.

We popped in here for lunch today on our way back from melbicks garden centre as we have been here before and remembered it was good. This is a lovely rural pub that has a beer garden (dog friendly) with a small play area, a lounge and restaurant. They play music from the 50’s onwards which I liked! Glynn serves you with a smile and is only happy to help and the staff aren’t overly attentive giving you space to relax and chat. The food isn’t overly expensive, there is a good selection and everything is cooked fresh and tasted delicious, we had the cottage pie, liver & onions a tuna sandwich and a chicken and bacon salad. We had heard it had been made over so thought it would be nice to return for a meal instead of our local. The outside was looking renovated and new which gave us hope. As soon as we walked in we were met by old worn patterned carpet, the same dowdy wallpaper, the outdated woodwork, the creaky chairs and tables that are so old they are sticky and cramped space. They have spent all their money on the outside and not even touched the inside. We were first to order and still waited 35minutes for our food and meal 6 came 5 minutes after meal 5. The food was just about average. The only saving grace was the waitress ‘Angel’ I think her name was. Sadly I would not recommend to anyone or return. Try The Greyhound at Sutton stop for a good meal.

First time visit, pre-booked table (7pm) when we arrived at the venue, it seems pre-booking was an absolute necessity, all tables were reserved or taken. A small but adequate dining area, set out in a cottage style, nice friendly greeting from the barman, Old Speckled Hen and London Pride on draught ,both in top condition. Excellent pub grub menu with some specials on the board, we wanted to try the mixed grill but it was sold out, our next choices were very good, the fish and the gammon. My wife chose one of the house specials a home cooked Chicken Mushroom and Leek pie- delicious ! Good food really good value. The bar man suggested to ensure the mixed grill was available to mention it when next booking a table.

This was my first visit to the Weavers Arms and as it does not have a web site did not know what to expect, other than its reviews were positive. My first impression was the inside was a little shabby or well worn, but not dirty. It seemed a pub that primarily serves its local community and the chatter was quite noisy, albeit they were all very friendly. The waitress and the landlord were very accommodating, cheerful and service was good. The meals we had were well presented, well cooked and were wholesome. They represented good value. We ate twice in the same week at the Weavers while staying in Coventry. Our first time was for Sunday lunch when we both had the roast beef dinner. The staff were very polite and friendly as were the locals. The food was excellent cooked to perfection, the two decent sized slices of beef just melted in our mouths, absolutely delicious, the meal came with good sized portions of vegetables, roast and boiled potatoes and of course with yorkshire pudding. We then had the apple pie with cream, this was bought to the table hot and a perfect sweet to our meal, we enjoyed our visit so much we went back a couple of days later to sample their lunchtime menu. The lunchtime menu is fairly extensive with a lunch menu, daily menu and a specials board. We opted for the lunch menu and had the plaice in a lemon butter sauce with potatoes and peas, another fantastic tasty meal cooked to perfection we followed this with the spotted dick and custard which we enjoyed very much. Both the dinner and sweet were decent size portions. Prices vary but the lunchtime menu you can have three courses of decent proportions for around £10 each. We shall definitely visit the Weavers again. Friendly staff, friendly locals and fantastic meals, what more can you ask for?

This is our second visit to the Weavers Arms after a recommendation from a family member. The first visit was on a Sunday and was one of the best Sunday roast dinners I have had in a pub/restaurant in a long time! We visited today (Sunday) at short notice and got a table. Unfortunately, there was no beef or turkey left, and so only had the choice of pork, lamb or salmon. There was a vegetarian option of cauliflower something or other. 2 of us were OK with this, the other 2 were not happy! We had starter which was hot and delicious, and very well presented. The main meals were all hot and well presented. The vegetables were all cooked to our liking and a good selection. Unfortunately, they didn't have any of the pudding left (Belgian waffle) which 3 of us were looking forward to, so we didn't have pudding. Overall, the food was well cooked, well presented and delicious. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant area was clean and tidy. I'm looking forward to visiting on another day of the week to sample the main menu.

Think of your typical traditional English country pub, and you're thinking of the Weavers Arms. Good selection of beers, friendly welcome and a roaring fire. It's popular. We popped in at 6:45 on a Wednesday evening and the place was already busy. The restaurant area is small and can be noisy when busy. The menu is good with a good selection of daily specials. The food itself is good rather than exceptional, simply presented and enjoyable. We are both very good home cooks and can be quite critical of food that is not top notch. If you are a gourmet, this is probably not the restaurant for you, but if you want decent pub grub, you will enjoy yourselves.

Called in for dinner a few months ago after picking up friends from Birmingham airport and had a really nice meal, plenty of choice and great value. Again dropping off relatives at the airport, this time lunch time and decided to call in as we passed. What great value, we had the mid week roast, one lamb, one beef and expected a small serving judging by the cost. This was NOT the case the food was really nice and plenty of it. Would highly recommend this little pub, for both food quality and great value. We need to support great little country pubs like this.

For the past month and a half I have been working for a Summer school where the food we are served is on par to nothing but school dinners. When I was served the glorious 16oz rump steak specifically cooked to my liking last night I was very very happy and found the meat tender and probably one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. All the food we ordered was home cooked and not brought in and it really showed in the presentation and taste. Would definitely go again. A larger range of draught ale and ciders wouldn't go amiss though.

We went to the weavers arms at the weekend and stopped for a Sunday lunch after a country walk. This proved to be an excellent carvery from which we chose the roast beef and this was served with a good mix of vegetables. Very enjoyable, as were the drinks. In addition there were nibbles on the bar which included pork pie, black pudding and tasty cheese! We ate in the bar area but there is also a restaurant The owner was very helpful and when he knew that we had been walking he gave us a map of other walks in the area. Altogether a delightful Sunday.

I've always gone to the Weavers from a young age... seen a few different owners and different ways. Glynn and Debbie are great and do great breakfasts ;-) Thanks.

I have known this pub for over 40years with it's changing fortunes. Once a vibrant farmers pub, now a casualty of the ready made wholesale boil in the bag or microwaveable junk that signifies a pub slipping into its inevitable decline. We had two meals. My wife had chicken in a white wine sauce. Small portion nothing to rave about and over chipped. I had the"crispy belly pork". It was anything but crispy, in fact the glutinous fat stuck to my teeth.once again over chipped. Why is it that shortcomings in poorly served meals can be disguised by copious quantities of chips. One saving grace however was the glorious pint or Ubu. In my opinion the best beer produced by the Purity stableIn conclusion a great place for a beer, but a poor place to eat

We had our first visit tonight. What a mistake. I decided to have mushroom and red pepper stroganoff. It was terrible. I don't think there was one full mushroom in it. Very bad. We will not be returning for a second time.

We have been here a few times now as a large family group. Both times we have all enjoyed the food. The Weavers Arms serves good quality (large portioned) family pub grub and traditional puddings/desserts. Their restaurant area is rather small so if you want to go it is best to book ahead. We have been midweek for a meal and also on a Saturday night and both have been busy. Our table for 9 has always taken up the majority of the restaurant. Great value!

Have just returned from my partner's birthday meal at the Weavers. Since our last visit the exterior appearance has certainly improved, and the menus are much more stylish. My point of purity bitter was perfectly kept and we were made very welcome. The food was outstanding, as always. My partner's prawn cocktail was really well presented and my black pudding and Apple fritter was delicious and innovative. My partner and daughter both had steaks that they really enjoyed and my slow cooker fillet of lamb was divine. Thanks for a great evening.

We went for lunch and, as ever, it was great. This is a family run pub, friendly with brilliant service. I'm a vegetarian and had a lovely lasagne and my husband really enjoyed his steak. We didn't have dessert as we were too full because of the very generous portions. Highly recommended.

Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat. Nice, quiet, friendly village pub. Undergoing renovations.
