Proper local boozer with proper friendly locals. A random stop for me for a refuel on a long bike ride. I ordered the pork batch (sandwich) which was absolutely brilliant. Good size, great pork with a stuffing crumb. That with a orange juice soda for less than a London pint. Manager...Don't change the quality or the price of that Pork Batch. I need to try the beef one next time I'm down and your Sunday roast. Yum!

Not serving food at lunch times yet, but lovely pint and atmosphere so will definitely be back when they are :)

I don't live round by here but I work down the road. Often we pop in for a pint , the John Smiths one of the best I get! Noce friendly local feel to the place and in nice weather good seating outside - usually very popular!

A bunch of us mountain bikers visit this pub after a ride & they have to be the most accommodating Landlord & Landlady out there!They even let us put valuable muddy bikes inside! Always very welcoming & nothing is too much trouble. The locals are friendly & there’s always a warm atmosphere ( & fire! )…I couldn’t recommend it highly enough….& if you enjoy Guinness,theirs is as good a pint as you’d get in Ireland. 🍻 Great pub 👏👏👏

Good beer in a friendly atmosphere. Food value for money but too much on the plate ( Sunday lunch). Sometimes less is more. Butty van now down driveway not on corner.

Fab little pub Very welcoming and the food is great

I really wish that they had the Village Pantry listed separately as it's an excellent van in the pub car park that serves a range of food and drinks that are ideal for the hungry cyclist and, more importantly, is open from 8.30am even on a Sunday! I had a sausage bap and a coffee for around a fiver, both of which were generous in size, and used the beer garden at the side to soak up the sun and catch up with my cycling group. Bikes can be stacked up against the fence and the top rail is steel so can be locked to it if need be. Open from Wednesday to Sunday.

Not what we were expecting, but OK. Plenty of choices for hand held food. Some time ago we had the most wonderful pie there, we were hoping for the same, sadly disappointed, tasty wrapp, not what we wanted but... Staff chatty and cheerful, clean tidy pub, good garden area!

Being a local i enjoy supporting local businesses. However, the food speaks for itself the food is delicious and well cooked. The owners are utterly delightful and polite. I would recommend this food stand to my friends and family.

Had a hike around Hartshill Hayes country park midweek, hot day, thirsty, local village pub, friendly, nice pint, what more do you want, thank you to the White Hart.

Nice place, good beer, great outdoor seating. Weren't serving food but had a really good burger van parked outside to get food from.

Didn't get to experience the pub but we did enjoy a couple of very nice breakfast sandwiches from the catering van. Very pleasant staff. Bright and bubbly (despite, I understand from conversation, a heavy session the night before lol).

Well cooked meals at reasonable prices all with a good pint. Also very helpful staff, well worth a visit but booking is advisable for meals.

I ordered a delivery which i was told would arrive at 1pm. After caling just for an update i rudely heard the chef in the background shouting ‘tell them its on the way what more do they want’, maybe the staff should be more professional or quieter so they cannot be heard. I was then told that they do deliverys per hour, maybe it would be wise to explain this when people call up to make an order.

After our visit today we were absolutely disgusted when our lunch came out the potatoes were raw couldn’t even put a fork in them everybody sent them back that was 6 meals spoilt as a Sunday dinner is made with roast spuds,so we ended up with just veg n meat,we complained about this but nobody could give us an explanation why then we ordered puddings which we had to wait for 25mins for which you would of thought they would of been more on the ball after we hadn’t really had a dinner.and to add insult only got £1.00 each knocked off each meal.we felt sorry for the waitress as she had to take all the flak and no management even came and apologised so much for customers come first 👎

Nothing fancy, just an average pub

Called in for lunch today and I have to say that we were both very pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere (Bublé swing playing in the background) and really helpful and friendly staff. A 3 course lunch from the special menu exceeded our expectations with everything piping hot and very tasty. We will definitely return and I would suggest that if you are in the vicinity of Atherstone that you make the effort to find this country gem. Thank you.

We have been here a few times for drinks but today was the first time we had food! The food was very delicious 😋 tasty and piping hot 😊 with family from 3-70 years old and all enjoyed! Will definitely be back 😊

Visited for Sunday lunch 9th June, superb three course lunch, at a very reasonable price, with excellent table service.

We have been for a meal at White Hart twice now. I would say the first time the meal was good but tonight was very disappointing. I had a 10oz gammon steak which was actually more like bacon, it was very thin, over cooked and dry. The other parties had two lasagnes and a 'special' which was chicken and ribs. The chicken looked like it had been boiled, the lasange was very greasy and processed. No one in my family enjoyed their meal and we were very disappointed. The White Hart does do really nice chips though and our waitress was very attentive, although even though not one of us had finished our meal, she did not ask if we were happy with our food or if there was a problem. I would not return here.

Very pleasant little pub, worth a visit

I live local and tried many restaurants and I must say this is one of the best I have been too food is awesome and staff are great food 10/10 service A1 well worth a visit as a couple single of family highly recommend.

Visited The White Hart Wednesday night for their 'Curry Night'. I had one of their beautiful chicken tikka masala's and my friend had a chicken jalfrezi, was such a big portion and was so filling. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening, fantastic food, great atmosphere and a massive variety of drinks :) Would definitely recommend The White Hart, Ridge Lane! Can guarantee we will be returning!!

We went to the The White Hart for a fantastic meal tonight to Thank our son and daughter in law for all their help and support over the last few months and it's the first time that they have been in The White Hart in two years and they said that the food and staff are brilliant. We give them a 5⭐➕

Had a couple of meals here last week with a couple of soft drinks. Nice enough place.. quiet but took us about 20 minutes to get someone to take the did and drinks order, despite being directed to the restaurant (I thought it was implied that we would want food but we had to go to the bar and ask!). Heard the microwave door being slammed a few times in the kitchen and then our lamb shank and gammon steak meals came out. Edible but not great quality.. not worth the £28 price. Probably wouldn't visit again which is a shame as it's a lovely place with a great garden and plenty of parking.

Just moved to the area and popped in for a drink with the family, seen the food look good so ordered was really good and the kids loved it to ( they don't normally eat pub food) been back a few times since always great and lovely staff will be back again soon.

Went there for a wake, as it was the person's favourite pub. First time I had been in for years. For a small village pub it is very nice, large garden at the rear, which on the day in question, was extremely useful. Due to the amount of people attending the wake. Will be going there again, under normal circumstances.

Beautiful meals and deserts all home made

So, family meal on Good Friday to celebrate wifey's 50th. 5 of us in total, (wifey and I, plus daughter, son and his GF). We opted for starters all of which disappeared rapidly and were all very tasty. We then had a mix of mains (my greedy *&£! of a son having the mega burger with an additional two extra burgers, all of which he couldn't eat because it was massive). There was a huge mixed grill on the menu which was tempting at around £20 but I am a bit of a lightweight these days so I opted for a very tasty surf & turf (don't judge). All the food was very tasty and well prepared.

I'm not too impressed with the food here . I had a jacket potato with cheese. There was a small salad with it and grated cheese from a packet that had no flavour. I felt like I was a nuisance when I requested a teaspoon to stir the sugar into my coffee. Expensive for what you get

We normally always order a sunday lunch from here if we are busy on a sunday the meat it always lovely but just lately frozen veg has been served as opposed to fresh which has let it down!

Popped in today to try the Sunday lunch. Although they were clearly run off their feet we were made welcome and offered a table in the bar as restaraunt was full. We had two courses for a bargain price of £8.99. The food was delicious and hot and my partner was impressed by the ales on offer. Will definitely return in the week to try their mega mix grill !! Thank you for a lovely experience.
