Interesting and friendly place, an Aladdin's cave of second-hand books and I could have spent longer browsing all the different areas. The coffee was unimpressive, not freshly-made or of decent quality and the rhubarb and custard blondie was rather stodgy. If they improved the quality of the cafe offerings, then it would encourage me back.

I've been here a number of times now. Nipped into the coffee shop while my husband finished up browsing the books. Disgusted to be charged nearly £9 for a small cuppachino and a small slice of cookies and cream cake. The coffee was luke warm and the cake was extremely dry. Absolutely not fresh that day. I won't be wasting my money in this grubby and tired looking hovel again, thats for sure. Some advice to the management... display your prices ! That way, people can make an informed decision on whether they want to be grossly overcharged for a dry piece of cake which is clearly past its best.

The bookshop is amazing, went with my grand daughter as she is very much a "book worm", she plans to return with her friends. The downside was the lunch at the cafe, we ordered pizza which came burnt & greasy, the quiche was really small with a few crisps & minute salad. Will return but will give the cafe a miss.

This was such a quirky place, and I had a lot of fun wandering around looking at all the books. I buy most of my books from charity shops, so comparatively they were more expensive at the book farm, but they weren't crazy prices. I didn't buy any because I already have a lot, and it was enough for me to soak up the atmosphere. I did buy some gifts as they were lovely and very reasonably priced. The cafe cakes looked lovely, but I got a milkshake instead. Sadly, the milkshake didn't taste like bubblegum ice cream, and it tasted very syrupy and sickly. If I were to visit again, I would opt for a cake and coffee. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend a visit.

A lovely maze of books with a nice little cafe, surrounded by countryside. The cafe has lots of choice of cakes and other sweet treats. As a family we love this place and are regulars. Really sad that their cafe menu has changed though. The award winning sausage sandwiches 🥪 (that this place is renowned for) seem to have stopped… The cakes aren’t ‘whole’ anymore; instead they are pre cut slices. They aren’t as nice as they were before. The milkshakes we ordered didn’t taste like the flavour we ordered. The queue to order was very long with only one lady on the till. To top it off the prices have gone really really expensive… The books and gardens / surroundings were are beautiful as ever 🌳

I have been here many times and loved it. I had not been for a few months but recommended it to my friends and we met there yesterday. The cafe was a huge disappointment. The food and drinks were tiny portions at huge prices! Nothing is handmade, the cakes are all bought in and the paninis are all ready made so you can’t choose your own fillings. The young girls in the cafe were pleasant but the lady on the till was almost rude and dismissive. £8 for the smallest panini and a few crisps! Almost £4 for a simple cup of coffee. Our food order was missed and we were left waiting and when we asked there was no apology they just brought out our order, wrong! Neeedless to say, I have crossed this place off my favourite places to visit and won’t be back.

Ordered a panini which we were still waiting for after 20 minutes- when I went to the counter to ask I was told it hadn’t been made (no apology) - they could make it now if I wanted. Nice place but it was very busy on the Saturday afternoon when we called in. Had difficulty finding a parking place and there seemed to be no provision for disabled parking. The carpark terrain is very uneven underfoot and small wheeled baby buggies or wheelchairs will find it difficult to transverse. The cafe was a delight, but again a little 'cramped' which again makes it difficult for wheelchairs and buggies. I believe there is a yurt tent nearby which may offer more room, but I did not have the time to judge that for myself. Definitely worth a visit but leave the family at home and don't come at the weekends or school holidays. 😉
