Loved this place on our first visit. However my lamb was on the tough side. Apart from that all was good.

Absolutely beautiful food at the Fig & Olive. This is a real hidden treasure, set in beautiful yet casual surroundings. The Southern Fried Oyster Mushroom was gorgeous! It was well-seasoned with the flavours of Southern fried chicken and had that wonderful crunch. The belly pork with the lovely crackling, Yorkshire pud, apple sauce, roasties, and seasonal veg was a dream of a Sunday dinner. The final touch with a non-alcoholic Afogato was totally delicious. If you have never had espresso and vanilla ice cream, definitely give it a go. Plus, if you like a little bit of tipple with it, they have plenty of options! I will definitely be going again.

The food here is pretty good though quite small portions and rather overpriced. I had the chicken Kiev which was very overcooked and made the chicken quite tough. Service is pleasant and laid back and the atmosphere is lovely as they can open the back of the building and let the light flood in. I will go back again but choose a different order.

Was looking forward to cake and coffee, the server dropped one of the cakes and we had ordered the last two cakes. The server apologised and brought over the desert menu but stated I would have to pay the difference even though it was the servers fault. I had to ask for a refund as I felt it inconsiderate and inappropriate to make a customer pay an extra £5 for a desert that was to replace the cake I had not had due to the server dropping it on the floor!

We went here for my husbands birthday and our waitress was Libby, the service was amazing, drinks came very quick whilst we selected our food. The prawn tacos & scotch egg were absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked, the rustic bread was lovely too but a bit too much. We then had steak and salmon which was also delicious. We don't do deserts but I am sure they would have been equally perfect. Thank you guys x

Staff so rude, we were over that way thought we might go for brunch, it was busy and we hadn’t booked. Asked if there was a table the guy laughed and said no we are full (they weren’t but understand kitchen might have been at capacity) no offer of a table in an hour or any degree of service at all.

Massively overpriced, and very average Used to be good, but now a shadow of itself. I'm afraid it's just a "Cheshire Housewives" outlet. Avoid!

Excellent helpful staff great meal great help from staff will most definitely be going again thank you to all staff for suggestions on food for two old ladies with fussy ways. The cod was delicious the service great the sherry just right Staff absalutley great thank you

We had a lovely Sunday lunch. The food was excellent. Bread with olives and 4 starters, lamb scotch egg perfect! 4 roast dinners with additional sides, the latter are worth it! Beef pink, all trimmings spot on! To improve: service and attention to the table in terms of additional drinks etc Overall: a top Sunday lunch! Thank you!

Lovely restaurant for a coffee up to an event meal.It has a great outside seating area which really catches the sun! If you want to eat make sure you book as it is busy and popular. Staff are friendly and helpful. Decent space between table and food selection of drinks and cocktails. You can also do some enjoyable shopping while your there. I had fish and chips,scored an 8/10,on my batter scale! The person I was while had prawn tacos which were very much enjoyed.

We went on a Saturday evening. The place was very busy and service was on the slow side but as we were with friends and not in a hurry the quality of the food easily made up for it

Really nice bar/restaurant, food was excellent and they sell a great Wolfpack Stout also. Service was friendly and efficient. I had Pulled pork brioche with fries and coleslaw.

The Fig & Olive is our new regular breakfast spot. Always happy with my Veggie breakfast (leave off the eggs) pots of tea and a coffee to finish. My opinion only but the Veggie breakfast offering is more interesting than a lot of places as they offer halloumi and potato with onions and peppers, I’m not a fan of a lot of vegetarian sausage alternatives so it suits my taste. Quality and atmosphere is good, service is friendly and accommodating. Booked in for the Irish folk night so will be trying the evening menu.

Saturday 22nd Feb. Lovely location and outstanding food which I highly recommend.There was one negative though, the service was not great. The two mature members of staff(one I think was the restaurant manager) were very good, both attentive and on the game. The three younger girls hanging around the till not so. We waited some time for our order to be taken, and when my wife walked to the till to ask if we could now make our order she was told with attitude by one of the three" yea alright then I'll be over in a bit" That was the only blight on our visit.Still excellent food though and well worth a visit for that.The food court staff were very welcoming and chatty, so excellent service on that side of the house!

Unpleasant experience. 2 overcooked breakfasts took them 45 minutes to cook and serve. A rip off. Avoid it. Visited 19th Feb 2025

I’ve been many times in the passed and had amazing food at the fig and olive today’s experience was very bad my friend and I had prawns in a so called homemade sauce it was cold and tasteless

Absolutely outstanding. Only popped in for breakfast and I must say that in my 39 years so far, it was probably the best breakfast i’v had. Amazing atmosphere, professional service and delicious food! Highly recommend!

We came here at 1120am hoping for breakfast and we weren’t disappointed. I had the small breakfast, my son had the large, my husband had the smoked salmon with poached egg and avocado and my daughter in law had avocado on toast. Everyone loved the food. The sausage and bacon were amazing. Wonderful staff too. Highly recommend

Went for afternoon tea and was pleasantly surprised how nice the restaurant is. Staff where lovely and very helpful the afternoon tea was lovely as well. We will definitely will be going again.

I have had a chat with them and also called to to make sure they are dog friendly. They said yes! Then we came over and they said no! How can a place like this can’t be dog friendly?! I’m really sad as I came from far away then they didn’t let us in. I believe we are living in the UK and most people have dogs. It’s so strange they some places like this one is not dog friendly.

The Fig and Olive is a beautiful restaurant perfectly suited to various party sizes and great for a special occasion. The menu is diverse if relatively small. All the food that came out was of high quality and tasted delicious. The service was perhaps a little slow but not unattentive. The restaurant was a touch cold, two people in my group sat with their coats on for the duration of our stay.

Always had a great experience at the fig. The farm shop on site is very nice and the restaurant has consistently delivered tasty food. When we have friends over we always make a trip over as the aesthetic is warm, inviting and little rustic (if you're into that thing) alongside a bankable great meal.

Great place for a Sunday roast!

We booked for Sunday lunch after a recommendation, but sadly, it didn’t live up to expectations. The roast beef provided was extremely thin and of poor quality, only 2 slices that looked like it was from a pre sliced catering pack. The meat covered only 2 roast potatoes, however, the mixed vegetables were very tasty. We decided to go for an additional side of cauliflower cheese, which was a little disappointing too, with poor flavour and no nicely grilled cheese top………..and at £6, a little steep for the size of the portion. Equally disappointing was the reaction of a staff member when we advised her of our dissatisfaction. When paying (as we weren’t checked on at any point before this), we told the waitress what we were unhappy with regarding our meal, and sadly no apology was forthcoming, and our comment felt dismissed. We may have dined near the end of the days service, but its a very sad inditement on an establishment that can’t serve its last diners of the day with the same level of service and courtesy as its first.

Great venue, ample parking, nice outlet for browsing arty crafts, the signature cream tea and the service in the fig and olive was excellent. Very attentive team. Highly recommended still excellent

Outstanding breakfast every time !!

What a shame! Such promise but it disappointed. The restaurant looks great, well spaced out and a nice feel. We went for Sunday lunch and unfortunately the food was served luke warm although well presented. The service was really slow and we had to chase for menus and service. May be we were just unlucky but if this is characteristic of the food and service we would not return.

Excellent service and a great full English breakfast. Not the cheapest breakfast but you get what you pay for and you will not find a better breakfast than at the Fig & Olive. The farm shop is also great. Amazing selection of food. A great place to go for any gifts.

Just Outstanding! We booked a table for 3 last night. We knew Chros Keys Piano was there & asked for a table near the piano. From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. Great welcome, friendly staff. The food was ourstanding - we had steak pot pie which was just divine, pork belly & the roast turkey. All meals were so delicious. Great atmosphere with Chris playing the piano & all the restaurant singing happy birthday to a customer - what a treat for her. The one negative I have is the chairs - they're so uncomfortable. I dont understand why they have really comfortable faux leather chairs in the bar area but small wooden seats in the restaurant, they really are uncomfortable. Cannot wait to return - enjoyed the live music.

Recently visited for pre-booked lunch with family. Ordered 2 x Asian Salad Wraps & 1 with crispy duck (£5 extra), plus a burger. All the meals were disappointing in particular the crispy duck which was very dry and burger didn’t have much favour. Overall, a pleasant location but food overrated & expensive.

Fab place to meet friends for a long overdue catch up with a good choice of great tasting food.

Nice vibe, clean, tidy, good service. Food pretty good. £25 for a quite nice chicken ceasar salad and chips in is punchy in my view but...hey ..everything is subjective. That's life I guess! Give it a whirl and see what you think.

A favourite restaurant when visiting the area, never disappoints. Hadn’t been for breakfast before so was looking forward to it. The menu has a great selection, the staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was really lovely. Coffees arrived promptly and the food shortly afterwards, perfect. My lighter breakfast was spot on, every element of excellent quality and cooked perfectly. My friends’ breakfasts looked equally delicious. I honestly couldn’t fault it and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Fabulous restaurant with attentive and pleasant staff - particularly Nikki, who made our lunch much less embarrassing after we ordered too much food! She was great about it and even got us some boxes to take the rest away in. The atmosphere is lovely and everything was clean and he flowers on the table were fresh which was a nice addition!

After a recommendation, we went and tried the breakfast. Simple order of 2 full brekkies and 2 teas. Having read the mixed reviews, we nearly cancelled but in the end, we turned up. Once you are on the grounds, there are no signs for the Fig and Olive even once you step inside the building. We found it. got seated. It's nice in there. Lovely feel to it and we felt comfortable in there and was an impressive start. Food arrived. Looked good. Took pics as you are legally supposed to in 2024. The wife didn't want her tomato and black pud. Don't worry...I had them. Food did arrive very quickly so cant imagine it was all cooked to order. We both enjoyed the breks immensely and everything was cooked well. I had scrambled eggs and will have them on my next visit but they were a little weird. Mushrooms were cold. A full English at this price is something that should be perfect and it almost was. The sourdough was lovely as was the butter that came with it. The wife needed more butter. We will definitely return and they have just gained two new possible regular customers. However, we will wait and see as many customers have left mixed reviews about when they have returned. A few replies to some of the reviews would also give the impression that they are actually bothered about customers. Will we return? Yes Will we recommend it? Yes

Our waitress pretty much forgot about us. Food was great though aswell as the atmosphere.

It was my 50th birthday and had an evening meal with my wife and friends. We had heard of the Fig and Olive, and heard good things. We weren't disappointed. The food was excellent quality and the staff attentive, but not overbearing. The bill wasnt too bad either. We were treated to a fox in the car park too!

Really enjoy going here, food is always spot on, lovely atmosphere the place is so nice inside, great way to spend a few hours

Went to the Fig & Olive last night for a meal and a few drinks with friends. We are regular visitors to the restaurant - it really does deliver the best food and service every time. Ewan is particularly fantastic and knowledgeable. We look forward to seeing everyone again soon!

Had a great night with some friends on a busy Saturday night and was served by Ewan. He is very knowledgable about his wines and gave some great suggestions for food. We will deffo be returning!

My wife and I had breakfast here yesterday as part of her birthday celebrations. The food was terrible, the bacon was uncooked and tepid (we took it home for the dog) the black pudding was just cold (dog got that as well). I ordered two fried eggs which were over cooked and my wife ordered poached eggs with hers, they were like golf balls and tasted very of vinegar. Anyway enough about the poor food. The coffee was good as were the staff who were very attentive albeit they were useless when I complained about things. We really like this place but it is the second time we have had a bad experience so I guess we won't be visiting again. All in all £50+ wasted on a breakfast. We could have got a better breakfast at the McDonalds down the road at least it would have been warm. Now I know they may well say they are short of staff, which is no excuse! I am fed up hearing it! Equally they may It may not be short handed and the kitchen staff are just incompetent either way it's not a good advert for a place that WAS previously so good. Anyway try harder you aren't a roadside caravan! People will only tolerate rubbish service for so long!

1st time customers, booked again for lunch this week!

The afternoon tea was disappointing compared to 18 months ago. The same group attended this time as previously. The scone was very small and not as many desserts. Portion sizes noticeably smaller and not worth the money. We didn't even need a doggy bag ! We compared photos of the 2 visits ,a considerable difference. One party asked not to have the brioche bun ,but no alternative was offered.

Visited the fig and olive for afternoon tea. The service was amazing the staff very friendly. The food was exceptional, i ordered vegan afternoon tea and my mum ordered vegetarian. Both were beautiful,great selection of sandwiches and cakes. Homemade scones which were delicious. The portions were big so we took some home with us! Will definetely visit again.

One of our favorite restaurants in Tamworth, we tried for the first time the lobster night with live music and it was lovely.

Food: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Service: 1 Subject: Disappointing Service Experience at Fig & Olive We returned to Fig & Olive for our second visit with high expectations, only to leave deeply disappointed due to the substandard service we received. Unfortunately, certain members of the Fig & Olive team demonstrated a level of service that is simply not acceptable in a customer-facing role. While there were some positives—namely, the quality and flavor of the food and desserts (with the exception of the cheesecake, which I would not recommend)—these were overshadowed by the numerous service failures that occurred throughout our visit. Despite our group consisting of only 5 adults and 2 children, we were forced to wait an unacceptable 90 minutes for our food to arrive. When we inquired about the delay, the waitress promised to check on our order but failed to follow through or update us. The eventual arrival of our food did little to improve the situation. The waitress who brought our meals gave the distinct impression that she did not want to be there. She neglected to ask if we needed any condiments, and when we requested them, it took asking twice before they were delivered—only to be unceremoniously dumped at one end of the table. Throughout our meal, no one checked to see if everything was satisfactory, and after finishing our mains, we waited an additional 20 minutes before anyone came to ask if we would like dessert. When some of our party did order dessert, we experienced another long wait, again without any follow-up to ensure we were satisfied. The final disappointment came when we expressed our concerns to a team member who identified themselves as part of the management. The response was underwhelming and failed to instill any confidence that the issues we raised would be addressed. The entire experience highlighted the ineffectiveness of the team. Regrettably, based on this experience, I can no longer recommend Fig & Olive and will not be returning.

Husband had duck pizza delicious I had Fish & Chips which was scummy the best cooked dishes we have had there for some time.

Great atmosphere. Food quality average to good. Slow service. Menu very limited gastropub burger, pizza and F&Cs. Very quiet but service slow. Not offered sauces, vinegar had to stop a waiter and ask. Good fish and chips. Disappointing gammon with no veg apart from some lettuce. Over priced pudding, a tart described as apple crumble for £9. Enjoyed atmosphere but food not really in keeping with what the venue is trying to portray, Not supporting local suppliers so a missed opportunity.

Starter of chorizo scotch egg was amazing and sea bass main was also of a high standard. Service and staff were attentive and atmosphere and surroundings really warm and cosy. My only criticism was that we had to remind the staff that the mussels came with bread, we then had a tiny piece of toast served up on a plate. Also, for my taste, I found the salmon teriyaki to be almost unbearably sweet (like maple syrup). Overall would go again but maybe order a different main.

I’ve been before for breakfast which was lovely however we returned yesterday with a group of 12 for my sisters birthday. The staff were lovely, very attentive although the drinks were very slow to the table after they’d taken our drinks order. Overall everyone was happy with the starters and mains however my starter The Fig and Parmaham Salad arrived with no fig. The mozzarella were the cheap mini mozzarella balls you get in a bag. After asking the waiter where are my figs he returned with a bowl of cold and looking old figs which I had to then put on myself no real apology. The salad was heavily oiled but on the whole tasted ok. Unfortunately for me the mains let it down I chose the Monkfish and king Prawn curry. The aesthetics were good however there was no real sauce to it which is a shame as this curry on the menu is £30. Me and my sister the birthday girl both had the same. We asked for some more sauce which they were very accommodating and brought 1 small pot of sauce out which the birthday girl had first so I asked for another hence the 2 curry’s and they said it’s all gone. Not the end of the world, upon eating the one king prawn with head and tail had no flavour some prawns were dry some were nice and the monkfish was very nice just not really much of it. The rice was dry or just steamed and not sticky as promised. They were kind enough to remove the 2 meals off the bill however after all the time wasted there was 2 people that left without eating the meals they’d intended to eat when dining out. A real shame as this place is an enjoyable place to dine.

While visiting Tamworth, I noticed this restaurant had great reviews, so I decided to give it a try, and it truly exceeded my expectations! The restaurant's décor is stylish and comfortable, and dining outdoors on such a beautiful day was a real treat. Sunday is all about roast, so I ordered the roast beef and crispy pork belly—both were excellent! I swear it’s the best Yorkshire pudding I’ve ever had. I requested the dry aged sirloin beef to be on the pink side, and it was incredibly tender with just the right amount of fat, making it unforgettable. The crispy pork belly, with its crunchy skin and succulent layer of fat, was a guilty pleasure! Their gravy is, without a doubt, the best I’ve tasted at any restaurant. After the meal, I explored their shop, which has a lovely selection of home goods, and their farm shop, which includes a butcher and a bakery.

The food was so good, I even forgot to take photos when I started eating. I advise.

A little expensive now. Starter, main and drinks for 2 over £90.
