Wayland's Yard in Birmingham

The food was delicious, we had Crumpets and Pancakes. Unfortunately the hot chocolate was a little cold, but did taste good regardless.

Popped in for Sunday morning breakfast. Amazing crumpets great staff and great coffee. Recommend the fried chicken crumpets.

Have passed wayland yard many times but always before they open, finally was in the area early afternoon and popped in for a coffee and brunch. The coffee was excellent, service really good and friendly. I had the lid (I think) breakfast with added chicken and hash brown. I loved it, very filling. Will be coming back again!

Very different, insofar as they havent copied anyplace that |'d visited before, closest similarity might be Camden market in London, a relaxed vibe, with lots of USB and plug sockets to undertake the days (home) office chores or simply surf the net. If we start with the basics, the coffee is excellent, the barista takes pride in each cup, The menu has a lot to offer, I went for the un-traditional full English, falafel, sourdough toast, poached eggs, major league hash browns as thick as a slice of your mums bread pudding (seriously nom), 'shrooms, slices of fried Halloumi with cooked, vine ripened sweet tomotoes the simple baked bean elevated to a higher level with the chefs skillful addition of cumin and herbs. Staff looked happy and smiled which always improves the experience - the service and attendtion to detail was top notch. I was happy to chat to both the two chefs before departing, thanking them for an excellent brekkie. A commuters delight, 2 mins walk from Snowhill Station.

Choose to have breakfast here after reading many positive reviews. The vibe inside was great and very clean tables. Staff were all friendly and the food was excellent. We were so impressed we came back the next day during our stay in Birmingham.

We came across this cafe for some mid morning breakfast, we were not disappointed! It caters for gluten free options also! We ordered 2 breakfasts, both which were extremely tasty and came promptly. Portions were great 👍🏻 They are also pet friendly and provided water for our pooches 🐶 Cosy atmosphere, thoroughly enjoyed ⭐️😀

Warm atmosphere and a perfect oat flat white. Would recommend. Could easily walk past Waylands Yard and go to a chain but worth a visit.

Very modern diner. Enjoyed the halloumi fry up, Eton mess pancakes, brunch bap, fried chicken crumpets and salmon avo.

Absolutely perfect, staff really attentive, food super high quality and clearly freshly made. Prices are reasonable considering the city centre location and compared to the ubiquitous coffee chains (Costa, Nero et al) this is a whole other level of quality. Will not disappoint

The atmosphere is really nice and cozy. The dark hot chocolate is amazing. Food is cooked fresh as well. The carrot cake was so good and moist.

Visited on a Saturday lunch time. Very busy in the city we chose this venue as dog friendly and we were made to feel welcome. Friendly hard working staff took some time to apologise for foot taking longer due to busy time. Well worth the wait for our very flavoursome eggs and coffee and cakes. Would highly recommend.

Went here for lunch! Had the fried chicken crumpets. They egg dip the crumpets. Never had that before and it was amazing..whole meal was one of the best things I have eaten in a long time and I eat alot! Go there today!!

Tried this on son's recommendation as he comes here with friends. We werent diappointed. My daughter had a lovely hot choc, my wife had a cappuccino and my son had another coffee (sorry, dont know what but art on top was nice). Mine was a double espresso and it came in a coffee glass (excellent) with a small card telling me about the coffee's origins. It also came with a small glass of green tea as a palate cleanser which was something unexpected but I now want at all my coffee stops. The coffee was of course delicious with a little brown sugar added (which was on table in sealed jars - nice touch). So, why not 5 stars? It was served with a huge tea spoon. Just get some coffee spoons, they're not expensive and if you really want to recreate the European coffee experience, they will make it nearly perfect. I'll be back though next visit to Brum with my own coffee spoon.

Lovely brunch at Wayland’s Yard. I’ve been here lots of times and the service is always quick and friendly and the food is great. This time I had the brunch bap with halloumi which was delicious. Lots of good options for vegetarians.

Popped into Waylands for brunch with the family. As always great food all round…. Love the fact that they have some more interesting brunch options. I went for the brunch bap which includes fennel & sage sausage. Others went for eggy crumpets, cheese & leek toast ias well as a vegan breakfast. Every one hit the spot!

In what universe.. covid or otherwise does a cup of black coffee cost £3??? The hospitality industry is punishing the people who try to help it. I felt stunned and at a loss for words for paying £3 for a small cup of coffee in a paper cup. This chain should be disgusted with itself

I had the vegan fry up, my partner had eggs florentine. Both were enormous and delicious! The bread was thick cut and lightly toasted, the hash browns were huge crispy wedges, perfectly soft on the inside. There was a generous portion of smashed avocado, pimped baked beans, tomatoes and crispy kale. Generous, tasty, oat cappuccino were served up quickly. The staff are very warm and friendly. There’s heaps of space. A great place for brunch. Highly recommend.

I had a Portuguese custard tart. Served at room temperature this morsel was very tasty. The brunches looked lovely and featured plenty of halloumi and avocado. Big tables to share and a warehouse type feel to the place. The staff member was cheerful.
