Fantastic little gem. Prices are good and the food even better! I would recommend having the big breakfast. The staff are really friendly and nice. All the food looks delicious.

Noticed the sausages were recently changed and for the better, the breakfast was really nice, everything was cooked to perfection and not at all greasy either. I highly recommend and will be back. Best breakfast I've had in ages. Thanks! X

Absolutely spot on breakfast. Never been before but we were in the area and fancied a breakfast. Came out really hot and fresh and most importantly, the brew was spot on too! Will definitely come again!

Read a review years ago from the Derby telegraph about how good this place was. I vowed that I'd get to try it one day. Today we came in and had breakfast and we were not disappointed! Hot, fresh and tasty not to mention the portions were plentiful! I couldn't finish! A proper cafe with traditional fayre.

Best cafe in England,Very reasonable price for full English breakfast and cosy place to sit and read with an cuppa !always like the breakfasts here also the jacket potatoes are nice and big and the breakfast cobs are very very filling !They even did pancakes on pancake day too! Today was Steak day special. Bistro Steak with all the trimmings. Steak was amazing, really tender and melted in your mouth. Highly recommended 👍. I'm a regular and usually have the infamous breakfast. Always great grub, love it!

We have been to a number of places for a good English breakfast including harvester and a few other cafes, however wayfarer always deliver on customer service and quality. We are vegetarian and they go an extra mile to make sure the food provided is as per our needs. Always smiling and very quick in serving. I would give 10 stars if possible. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a family friendly place for an amazing english breakfast.

We have been to this cafe regularly for some years. Often busy, which defines its popularity, but service stays efficient and very friendly. How the owners manage to remember the names of customers is 'mythical'! Quality of the food is very good, and most visitors nod and are chatty. Recommend.

just returned from a basic breakfast at this, very pleasant, clean café, egg, (fried) 2 Sausage, 2 bacon, mushrooms' and black pudding + comes with toast, all very good quality and perfectly cooked. Also very quick service, staff were very attentive, tables clean and loads of clean condiments. Makes Weatherspoons look like the cheap tat they are. I will be back, thanks ps, the menu in general was excellent, with 'main' meals and numerous other things.

I've started working at the factory across the road and used the Wayfarer Cafe a few times in last 2 weeks for my lunch. To be recommended (particularly the home made quiche options, a meal in themselves!).

Me and one of my friends were going to Wayfarer Cafe for breakfast for a couple of weeks and to be honest, I never saw any of the staff members look sad or be disappointed with something. They always greeted us with a smile, amazing atmosphere and the best service.Food here is really great. Every morning I ate either Big Breakfast, which was totally enough for me, or ham and cheese omlette. Last day there I tried the Club Sandwich, which was more than enough for me. It's quite a big one. It was easy to replace whatever was in the deal with something I liked more. Everybody working there were really forthcoming. Would recommend Wayfarer Cafe to everybody.

We went today for a late breakfast. As I ordered I noticed their fresh homemade quiche so I changed my order straight away. There were two options cheese and onion and broccoli and stilton. Best ever and I’ll be back for more! Cafe was lovely and clean, tables far enough apart, hand sanitiser for use, the entire tables sanitised when we left. Well done Wayfayre for all your hard work and for helping keep everyone safe.

Lovely cafe clean and friendly the foods always perfect , we had a takeaway breakfast this morning 4 of us and the measures they have got in place for social distancing are great felt nice and safe plenty of hand sanitiser and clear markings nice to see .

I can not fault the Wayfarer Cafe for their continued excellent service, having eaten in and taken out. We decided to have a buffet delivered for a small family birthday gathering. The food was gorgeous and delivered on time. I would certainly recommend.

31/10/2019 10am . in 2012 this was a bad day for me so my companion suggested we go for a breakfast instead of lunch. There is only place to go for breakfast, the Wayfarer !!!!! . Warm, clean, tidy, great staff, and home the cooked great food at amazing prices. If you've never been then you should defiantly give it a try. We will be back.

Absolutely terrible customer service!! My food was brought out by a lady with blonde/white short hair with a small ponytail & tattoos. She never spoke a word & just slammed the food down on the table in front of me. Took 5mins after for the rest of my order to be brought out again with the same attitude.

I’d be lost without the Wayfarer as I’m a regular here on my lunch break. I’ve eaten out, had takeaway, and had most things on the menu. Great family atmosphere with the staff who couldn’t be more helpful. Great food quality and value which is rare to get both! Best place to eat in Derby, hands down.

I had never visited The Wayferer before but I was recommended to call in regarding a buffet for a large group for a Football presentation - we had the buffet food and cakes. Tracey was brilliant and showed me all options and even suggested alternate business if The Wayferer wasn't suitable, which it was! Tracey kept in touch with me throughout (but not too much), we settled numbers and although it was less than we originally guessed this was no problem! On the day Tracey messaged to say the buffet was ready which was reassuring as it was a busy day. The food arrived on time and the gentleman who delivered it was very friendly and helpful! The business shuts at 2pm but the food was delivered at 6pm - this was never made to be a problem! Most importantly - the food was amazing! Very generous portions, sandwiches were beautiful (mixture of fillings and mix of white and brown bread), sausage rolls, samosas, cake, crisps, pastries, chicken tikka skewers (amazing!!!) and more. Everybody commented how lovely the food was! Would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a buffet

Not local to the area and fancied a fry up, this looked like the best locally based on ratings. Finally arrived at the place, after having a much longer walked than planned (4 year old in tow with "achey legs"). Looked busy when we arrived, but found a table easy enough. Honestly, wasn't expecting much but turns out this place is fab! Food was what you would expect, but still nice (poached eggs cooked perfectly!) and very reasonably priced. Staff were brilliant. Would definitely return!

Use this place regular as I am based over the road on the Bombardier site - great for a sandwich for which they do meal deals. Had a couple of hot lunches and these are good also. Service is pretty quick also even when busy. The fact that you see the same people in there regularly says it all.

Having just been to this local establishment with a work colleague who also commented on the excellent choices of food and noticed how busy it was I want to put in this review.

Well this is a change for us as we normaly go for pub grub , food at a reasonable price and compare them with each other. Never a fancy restaurant with high prices and small portions. Well today we tried a change the Wayfarer Cafe and wow !!!! what a good choice. The outside was clean and very presentable. On entering everywhere looks clean and well set out. We found a table and browsed the extensive menu. We thought we had made our minds up till we went to the order counter and noticed a special of gammon chips egg and peas for £5.50. Now we know what we have had at other establishments so had a comparison to go by. The staff were very friendly and helpful,Makes a nice change from some of the big chains we've visited who seem not to care.The meal came in good time and was a nice surprise.Everything was hot and fresh plus 2 well cooked eggs runny yolk and firm white (well done team) gammon was good and not salty as sometimes it can be. My companion had a take out of lasagne and salad for his daughter the said it was very good , trust me that's a compliment. To sum up the word cafe does not do this place any justice. We looked at the food coming to other tables and it was excellent. Well done to you, we will be back soon.

Simply the best, Doesn't look too good from outside and the parking is not good but once you're in it fantastic, quick food and good prices.

We ate breakfast here on the recommendation of a friend. It isn't in the town centre and so we may not otherwise have gone but it was a great place to eat. The food was very hot and served quickly. It was a busy place clearly serving lots of the local businesses but there are two rooms of tables so you can sit away from the counter. We enjoyed it and will go back.

My husband and i decided to try this place after passing it regularly and hearing from others how great it was. We both had the Mega Breakfast with Coffee - This was GREAT!! Staff were happy to swap items if there were things we did not want. This is not the place to come to if you like your organic farmers market sausages and fancy stuff like that. This is good old fashioned grub that keeps you going all day - We didnt eat again till 10 hours later.

Came here with my partner last week for a breakfast and disappointing is a massive understatement. In the cafe it says 'best breakfast in derby' but it is about the same as a supermarket breakfast.

On my way back from an interview, I decided to get something to eat. Wayfarer, looked nice, so I decided to give it a go. Nothing fancy as a decorating style, but the menu was challenging! So I tried the today's special. Double burger with chips and bacon. When it arrived I was so hungry that I didn't even tried to get a picture! Unbelievable taste, with cheddar melding in your mouth! The meal included also, hand made chips. I know that you can't judge a place by the burgers, but to be honest this place is worth visiting again, because has a big variety of food options. I enjoyed every second and for that reason I will definitely come again. A Quality food place is something that deserves to be supported. Keep walking!!

Asked about a Christmas dinner for some collegues and it was organised specifically for us. Excellent service with great quality food . Full turkey dinner and choice of desserts. Couldn't ask for more!!!

Visited this cafe today for breakfast and was warmly welcomed by the owner. Opted for the big breakfast with toast and a cappuccino coffee. Excellent value for money and good quality produce, this was by far the best breakfast I have ever had in a cafe.You can either eat in or take out and they also do sandwiches/baguettes and other freshly made food hot or cold. Well worth a visit and I look forward to going again soon.
