I was back there yesterday (twice)! The young man serving is wonderful, always cheerful despite being rushed off his feet, always polite and helpful. It beats other cafes in the centre hands down.

I was a bit concerned when Watersone's had a new owner. They are perhaps the only bookstore in and around the Milton Keynes where you can actually go to when looking for a book or are lost as to your next bit of reading material. Unless, of course, you go to an on-line retailer, which isn't always an option as you might need your book immediately. This particular branch has helpful and knowledgeable staff and a reasonable selection of books to browse before making your choice and there's always some sort of offer on current titles, such as 'Buy-one-get-one free' or 'buy-one-and-get-one-half-price' or similar. The layout has been updated and some of the shelving modernised so giving the store a more contemporary feeling. Generally a good store but some more modernisation needs to be done. It's not always easy to find what you're looking for, but it should be made simpler with different signage.

Waterstones offer a huge selection of books and maps across so many genres, but it's much more than this. It's a place with professional, hardworking, smiley, efficient people who go out of their way to help you with your choice of book - even if you don't know the full title or author. They are amazing and make the shop even more fabulous. Well worth a visit. Much recommended.

This restaurant takes some finding, being tucked away upstairs amongst the books.... But I find it nice & relaxing for a coffee while shopping.

Went to The Cock Inn for lunch, staff were really friendly and the food was very good, especially the Fish and Chips. It was a bit quiet with only another table in there, but we enjoyed our time there.

Called in here after an afternoon shopping trip. We had eaten elsewhere & just had a drink. Nice atmosphere, buzzing. My only gripe is the price of drinks. £11 or £12 for a cocktail & we paid £11.75 for a 250ml glass of Pinot Grigio. It was ok as a one off visit but wouldn’t be frequenting the place regularly with this pricing. We paid more for 2 glasses of wine than we paid for a bottle of Prosecco at Bills with our lunch.

Super quality lambs liver, bacon, mashed potatoes and peas, generous serving, served hot. Fresh-looking decor, and my dining companion reported sparkling clean toilets.
