This is now called Aangan Indian and Nepalese cuisine, the service was second to none , the food was so nice and fresh, a lovely atmosphere , we will re visit , strongly recommend

Went to the Waters edge this evening, this was our second visit to this restaurant.The food was tasty although not overly hot and went cold before we had finished eating.The atmosphere was quiet and somewhat sterile bland decoration and no atmosphere,the staff once you had received your food where not to be seen ,not even asking if our food was ok and to our satisfaction.I don’t think we will be returning again

OK, but the food was a little too hot. We should really have asked before ordering but I really expect a korma to be a mild dish rather than medium one. The service was good but the decor a little Spartan compared to others. It wasn't cheap, but where is now.

We ordered LAMB NIHARI, GARLIC CHILLI CHICKEN, BUTTER CHICKEN, CHICKEN SHASHLIK and ONION BHAJI. The lamb nihari was very tender with a strong, spicy sauce and was my favourite dish, I would recommend it. The shashlik was accompanied by grilled onions and peppers, a minty sauce and a side salad. Despite it being a dry dish, the chicken was moist and well marinated, making it even better. The butter chicken was not sweet but equally not spicy it went nicely with a naan; it was incredibly tender and the sauce was not too thick. The garlic chilli chicken had a similar sauce to the nihari - we asked for it to be extra spicy but it could of taken more of a kick, however, it was still a very nice dish. The bhaji was big and came in threes and had the same salad and mint sauce as the shashlik. The atmosphere was good but not overly busy for a Saturday when we arrived at 7pm. However, by the time we left, there were more tables and a few large parties. The staff are really friendly and chatty the service was quick but didn't feel rushed. The price for five people was £86.00, so overall, a lovely restaurant. I would give this restaurant 9/10 - we will be back.

Great quality food, awesome flavours and superb customer service. We had a mixed grill, each item had an individual flavour and was just the best quality. The salad was so fresh and varied it was a delight

Ordered take out a chicken biryani and chicken desi murgh pilau rice and nan. The chefs special tasted and looked identical to the vegetable sauce for the biryani and tasted similar. No vegetables in the biryani sauce. I expected a little more imagination in the special. Nan bread okay. This is certainly not the best Indian restaurant in the area won't be wasting my money returning.

Tried ringing 11 times, nobody answers the phone. Rubbish.

Midweek meal. Chicken and lamb dishes of a high standard. Welcome find in a village the size of Willngton. Nearby pubs makes it a good choice for a night out.

If you are in the midlands and love Indian food. Come here and have the best of which it has to offer, at very reasonable prices. The portions are really large. We had chicken saag and madras chicken with pilau rice and roti all cooked superbly. Hope to come back very soon.

Tuesday night absolutely amazing food service was great ne the wife and kids amazing starters great mains cobra on draft and carling I had cobra was perfect lovely atmosphere would highly recommend

Ordered food for take away which when we went to collect the order was wrong. Sat and waited for the right order and I asked the manager would everything be hot still and correct to which he rolled his eyes at me. Got home and some food was missing and some only warm! Tried to ring but nobody answering the phone. Not impressed at all.

Food was amazing, so much to choose from and my dish was nice and hot and the portion size was good. Real friendly service and very talkative staff who will chat with u at Ur table and check on u throughout Ur meal. Reasonable prices but don't mind paying slightly higher prices when the food quality is there. Shame parking is a bit limited as don't have own carpark so street parking is required.

The best Indian food for miles around! We had a takeaway tonight and chose a mixed grill main course. We had ordered the mixed tandoori starter a few weeks ago and could not stop drooling over it. The mixed grill was perfect, we shared it and added a garlic rice. The garlic rice from this place deserves its own mention as its the best we have ever had and full of lovely, caramelised garlic. I don't usually eat meat at Indian restaurants as I've had one too many 'chewy' encounters but I 100% trust the Waters Edge, their chicken is lovely and falls apart on the fork and they've even got me eating lamb now. Some of the 'best'Indian restaurants in the area charge far more than Waters Edge yet here you get intense flavours, excellent quality and brilliant service. Don't hesitate to give it a go!

Updated 30 May 2023 Popped in for dinner after a long drive home and the food was as good as always, with the usual friendly service. All dishes expertly cooked and full of flavour. This was our third visit and on each occasion the high standards of service and quality of food has been constant. The menu is extensive and offers an excellent range of dishes. The staff are friendly and professional. The restaurant atmosphere is very relaxing.

We're thoroughly enjoying this place at the moment. The food seems very freshly made and with quality ingredients. The service is excellent and the prices seem reasonable, making for a great dining experience overall.

An upmarket Indian Restaurant which deserves its 5 🌟. Everything tasted so fresh and delicately spiced. The Lamb Pasanda was one of the best I've tasted. Friendly relaxed atmosphere.

First time visit to Waters Edge & we loved it! Easy to find in the centre of Willington, we parked in the free car park at the railway station which is only a couple of minutes walk away. Restaurant was very clean, particularly impressed by the spacing of the tables with lots of little alcoves for a more private dining experience. We had the Lamb Nihari & the Waters Edge special chicken dish. Both dishes had really large pieces of the most tender chicken & lamb, the food was perfectly seasoned & spiced & the naan soft but not chewy. The young servers were all lovely, food served quickly & very reasonably priced. (I think there is an offer on midweek at the moment) Highly recommend a visit to this restaurant if in the area.

We decided to try them having had only ordinary or bad service from other takeaways. The delivery was spot on time promised. The food was exceptional and included some surprise popadoms which were not ordered. We will certainly use them again

We went on NYE but I was really disappointed. We turned up after pre-booking, to be told that it was a set menu costing £35. We only wanted a curry, rice and shared naan. Instead we had poppadoms, a starter, a main course, lots of rice and naans. By the time we finished eating, we were all very full. Please consider what to do next time. We won't be back though. Definitely not recommend. PS the menu was a joke on cheap photocopies, with no explanation as to what each dish entailed.

Not a great experience, frozen food served, poor service and asking for a couple of adaptions to our choices was obviously too much for the lazy not very talented chef. One to miss I think

First visit for a family meal. Busy restaurant on arrival which although made the venue noisy it felt a promising sign for the meal if the rest was popular. Average meal. Won't be returning to try again. Service polite but a bit slow. Not sure...

For the price they charge for what is nothing more than an average curry I would expect far better. Service wasn't great and we have our food order at the same time as our drinks order which is a real bug bare of mine. We made our order, and waited, and waited, the poppadoms arrived with a pickle tray. 8 poppadoms and 4 measly bowls of pickle. It was never going to be enough. Our starters arrived after another wait. The samosa was still frozen in the middle. The main courses arrived and although they were eaten, they were nothing special as promised. Bland and boring without the extra slice I had asked for. With that, we didn't bother with pudding, we just paid and left. Their prices put them in competition with some of the best Indian restaurants in Derby. The experience and quality would put them more in line with the generic cater for everyone takeaway. For the money you can get far better, and within a couple of miles. I would suggest you go elsewhere. Bitterly disappointing experience.

First time visit to the Waters Edge the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good will go back.

Was told ot would be an hour delivery, when I called after 1hr 20 minutes, I was met with a very rude man at the end of the phone, and ot took another 20 minutes to arrive! The food was "ok" . We won't be using them again!

A local restaurant in a small village the food is Excellent with service. To match. Never disappointed after many visits. We had a couple of dietary requirements in the group and owner had no problem accommodating.

We’ve visited twice in the last few weeks and absolutely love this place. It’s nicely decorated and has a nice atmosphere going on. The food we order always comes piping hot and presented exactly how you feel it should be presented. Very tasty too with tender chicken pieces and flavoursome sauce. Had the lamb on the bone last time and that was an experience and a half! After speaking to one of the waiting team about the poppadom dips, we found out that they are all made freshly on site and not just from a bottle. Definitely going to go back soon

We ordered a take-away for delivery on a Saturday evening. Food arrived within the advised forty minutes. Delivery vehicle was super clean and decaled with the restaurant’s name. This immediately gave an impression of a professional establishment. Food arrived hot and was of excellent quality....
