We dropped in here whilst on a canal boating trip. 6 of us, family and friends went in Tuesday evening last. The food and spices used were excellent and extremely tasty. A beautiful meal and great value for money. Bring your own alcohol also worked for us to. Staff and Manager very attentive, all in all a brilliant experience. James

Now KITCHEN 7 and all I can say is Tandoori night has had an upgrade across the board! I will be back for sure! Had poppadoms 2 currys 1 clay oven tandoori dish, 3 rice 3 naan! All incredible

Tandoori Nights has undergone a makeover and is now known as Kitchen 7. The ambience was ok and the service excellent, but I was very disappointed with the food and the menu needs a lot of work. For a start, there is only one vegetarian main course curry on the whole menu, and no vegan options at all. There is no detail on the heat level of each dish either. We noticed that there is an M against some of the dishes - we asked a member of staff what this meant and he didn't really know. "It might mean medium", apparently! I ordered the onion and kale pakora, expecting a lovely light and crispy bhaji, but it turned out to be thin, flat and chewy. My friend had the chicken tikka main course, and that's all she got, just a plate of chicken with a few onions - no salad or sauce. Very disappointing. I won't be going back.

We had dinner here last night and we loved it! We started with poppadoms and pickles tray. The amount of pickles were good and we had 6 poppadoms. My husband was not a fan of the lemon chutney, its ok because i love it. Then we took kerry chicken and bhuna prawns, asked them to make it spicy and a serving of onion rice and 1 garlic naan bread. I could not express the satifaction i felt with how good the food was. I 100% recommend this place when you are in the area. Do not miss it. The food we had were great. The staff was friendly, hospitable and welcoming. I was handed a yellow rose before i left the place! :)

Now known as kitchen 7. The place has just had an uplift so it’s very new. I was a little disappointed because there has no asian look or feel which is a shame. Even the name doesn’t give you the impression you’re going to an Indian restaurant. The finish on the decor looks rushed especially around the edges and the bar area wasn’t finished so very limited to what drinks were on offer. It was very busy on this night, so quite long wait to be served and for courses. This might because it’s new and things might settle down. I will return in a couple months to see what changes have been made but for now, it’s not scoring high for me. Having said all that. The staff were very friendly and pleasant and the food was lovely ( once we got it ) oh and the poppadoms weren’t fresh. I prefer freshly cooked ones.

Wonderful first visit, great food and service, just a shame only soft drinks available but we took our own alcohol.

We have been going to tandoori nights for years, we have never had a bad meal yet, yes some are better than others but never a bad one. We havent been in for a couple of months, often opting for a takeaway instead as they do 20% off if you spend over £35 and collect, but we were told over the weekend that its closing for a few months for a refurb so we decided to sit in for dinner one last time as it is now. We were welcomed by suhiel ( i think thats how you spell his name) and showed to a table by the window, tandoori night is ( maybe was ) a place you take your own beer to but that night we opted for soft drinks, We put our order in, mrs had a chicken saag, i had the mixed meat karahi, we went with the tandoori nights special rice, portion of chips and a cheese and garlic naan for me, chippatti for the mrs. Looking round the place, yes it is a little dated, but its very clean, service is brilliant and the food amazing. Mrs will say the best saag she has ever had. The toilets are spotlessly clean, a big free car park outside, and plenty of tables. The food that came was brilliant, plenty of rice and chips to share, even some left over rice, no chips, but who leaves chips anyway?? Over the yrs we have got to know the staff, and hopefully they will all be back after the refurb, suhil has been there about 10yrs and will be gutted if he doesnt return. WE just hope with the refurb that it stays as a traditional indian restuarant as we know it and not one of these street food places that seem to be everywhere now. Great place, great staff and great food, i just hope when it reopens it doesnt lose its magic it had for us now.

We were a large party and we had a nice meal and a pleasant evening. They took the shine off the evening by being unhelpful with sorting out the bill.

Brilliant meal. Had tandoori mixed grill with vindaloo sauce. Amazing.

Excellent favours and generous portions. We went as a group on a Monday so quiet, but the food and service was excellent. Remember they do not serve alcohol so take your own wines and beers with you.

Foods fine. Reasonable value for money. Spicy food is a real deal (nice one). I cannot figure out why I had to find my coat myself. It is better with me than left it to staff.

Booked a table for 1 when down there for work. Xmas time, they very kindly accommodated me. Food was good, tasty, value for money,will deffo go again.

We’ve used this curry house for the first time when we moved up here in 2009, each house we have moved too since then, we have only ever used this place, 15 years on and still their meals are amazing. Never had a bad meal. Service is amazing and delivery guys are always super friendly. Highly recommend

Ordered food at 4pm to be delivered at 8pm New Year’s Eve, all waited but never arrived, money got took out no communication and couldn’t get through to see what was happening! Disgusting

We called in with family, and we were disappointed. Korma was hot with spice as if it were a pasanda, fries over cooked, and naan burn. Complained to the waiter, who said he would look into it but never did! Very expensive for what you get, especially with no atmosphere.

We have a caravan on the local caravan site and have been meaning to try this place for years, wish we had tried sooner. The food was amazing, cooked fresh and very tasty. Great value for money, it is bring your own beer if you are wanting alcohol. The service was too notch, could not fault anything at all and all the staff seemed cheerful and smiling which is always great. A credit to the team working there, we’ll be back 100%. Been here before had a lovely curry but this time had the same curry it was way too hot couldn't even eat it spoiled my evening

Pre order for delivery was 15 mins late . Food was bland the samosa was hard the onion baja was flat and moist . The curry was almost like a pack mix from a shop . I recommend Lottus kitchen or mogul very well established.

Had a tikka and is tasted more like a korma, very sweet. Everything else was 10/10 20% off when you buy a main meal They don't serve alcohol so you can bring your own. One of the waiters is hilarious, will brighten up your evening with his jokes.

Had the chicken shashlik. The portion was massive, chicken was juicy and tender. The restaurant was the busiest we've seen it and at times was difficult to hear other members of our party due to the noise.

What a cracking Indian restaurant. Visited because friends were staying at the nearby campsite, otherwise we wouldn’t have known about it. Very friendly, welcoming and attentive staff, and the food was beautiful. Ended up bringing half of it home! Thoroughly recommended. Thank you!

First trip back here since 2019 and it lived up to my nostalgia! The service team were great, making us feel right at home. The food was lovely, I opted to share a lamb saag with a family member and the portion alongside a portion of rice and a naan between us was plenty! The place is now bring your own alcohol so be aware

The staff are always really nice here so I don't agree with those who are criticising them, but I do agree with the other reviews that the prices are absolutely crazy - see pictures: £4.50 for rice, £11/12 for a small vegetable curry that clearly was just a sauce with a bag of frozen veg tipped into it, you can tell by the tiny carrot cubes and the general taste.. I had mushroom rice and I think there were only like 5 thin slices of mushroom in there. For two people you easily spend £60+ and that's without a starter or alcoholic drinks. I've had many meals here because my family like it but I've never been particularly impressed with the quality of the food compared to the prices.

Excellent food and friendly service, staff are very accommodating and check you have enough drinks and food often. Good value for money and a lovely location near various pubs. The food was fantastic very flavoursome, would recommend the fish Bhuna. Will definitely be back soon.

Don’t be fooled by the25% discount! Different menu Sunday to Thursday with grossly inflated prices . Basic curries £5 more than takeaway prices! Dishes on normal menu not on Sunday menu. Discount is only offered if everyone orders a main course. Cheapest is around £12. Takeaway price £6.95. Website says closing time is 11.30pm. They tell you the kitchen closes at 9.45. Never again!

We used to go alot before covid and the food was fantastic . We have now been since then and the standards on food and service have dropped big time .

Food was incredible, fantastic depth of flavours and the service was impeccable. Warm, friendly and welcoming. We were a walk in and they managed to be able to accept us and within the hour it was jzm packed. Would highly recommend and look forward very much to returning

We didn't even ask for the bill and yet they bought it to us. They didn't ask if we wanted a dessert. We hadn't even finished our drinks! Found this very peculiar and made us feel uncomfortable and like we'd done something wrong. Also, check your bill as on reflection we think we were overcharged. Such a pity as we frequent the area.

We had King Prawn Tandoori + Pathia Curry + 2x Naan Breads + 4 popadoms all ended up in bin. The salad that came with the Prawns resembled watery cabbage. The Popadoms were stale. The Naans wrapped in soggy brown paper we’re inedible. The Prawns like rubber. The curry stringy chicken & over cooked. Sauce like sludge. To top it all it was all stone cold. Never have we ever had such an awful meal. If we had been closer we would have taken it back. I phoned & asked for manager to call me back sadly given 24 hours later - never did.

This place used to be one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to, I've been a customer for over 20 years and couldn't fault them. However I went after COVID after not going for a few years and was shocked when I went recently. We were the only people in the restaurant which I thought odd, the food came and the rice came on the plate still in the shape of a microwave tub,the rest of the meal was odd, everything just tasted strange, 2 different curries tasted the same.the staff looked miserable like they didn't want to be there. We were very disappointed. We will never go back again. you can get better microwave curries for 20 ,% of the cost. None of the usual friendly staff were there and the main man wasn't there who always comes and has a friendly chat. This place must of changed hands because it's gone from 10/10 to a 1/10. It's very sad and I miss the old owners and will not be going back.

Home delivery, prawn purees really nice, onion bajjis very poor; cheesy naan had no cheese Lamb biriyani was nice as is standard for biriyanis; roast chicken so dry it could hardly be swallowed salad hot because it had been packed between food Chips anaemic and cold, accompanying the chicken and chips were fresh vegetables! Only not so fresh And to be honest not a great selection; fried onions and mushrooms with peas like bullets Additionally recieved 3 tubs of raita which had no flavour and was very thin So all in all won't be ordering again

Was told their version was the Kashmiri version and the one I was expecting was the Gujarati version. Explained to the waiter the dish name was misleading. He wasn’t having any of it and sent a second person to argue with me. Apparently they call it Palak Paneer and not Saag Paneer “because it sounds more exotic”. Don’t come here expecting nice authentic food and you won’t be disappointed. My dish was £7.50 on the menu but I was charged £13.95 as it was a ‘main course’ but I asked for the one on the menu and there wasn’t two prices shown. This is disgusting and they don’t even bring the bill to your table, you have to queue up so they can present you with a factually inaccurate hand written bill. I won’t eat here again! There really are much nicer and better value places to spend your money where the staff aren’t rude and you don’t get fleeced.

Just a wonderful restaurant. The service is always excellent & the food is top notch.

Food was OK and hot, service was quick but that's where it ends. Seated then straight away swarmed on for extras and orders. Told to get 25% off we ALL had to a main meal instead of sharing one (this works out much more expensive even with the discount! Never left alone, extras were pushed all the time. Place was empty, no music or atmosphere. We won't be going back and my advice if you do go is to check your bill!

Finally found a great Indian takeaway! We’ve ordered twice from here for delivery. Everything was delicious - the curries are so tasty, not too salty. Rice great, naans and popadums amazing. The meat cooked so nicely (lamb - yummy!). Easy to order online, great value for money. Would 100% recommend.

We went on a work do, there was a lot of us! A lot of women, the staff were absolutely incredible! Really attentive, never had an empty glass they were always around. The food was amazing! Literally best curry I’ve had in ages! Highly recommend this curry house!

Paid over £65 for two of us and a child. And that was with %25 off. Only go here because it’s convenient but won't be wasting my time and money here again. Much better places in and the area to go for a curry. You guys need to get rid of the Rude waiter. I'm sure you know who he is.

We ate here on a very hot Saturday night in July 2022. The service was excellent, very attentive and professional. Due to the heat of the day, we chose 2 reasonably mild dishes and enjoyed them both very much. The portion sizes are quite large, so dont order too much! Lovely restaurant, clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. this restaurant does not have an alcohol licence so take your own if you want a beer. We will visit again.

Arrived for evening meal, but table wasnt ready. A 5 minute wait and all was sorted. Good selection of food for meatasaurus people and veggies. Good service and food tasted great. Only draw back is no alcohol can be served so take your own of nip over the pub and get some 👍

Completely lost the great atmosphere it used to have . No liquor licence . It's turned into a take away with a restaurant attached ... What a shame

Came in recently the restaurant was dead we came in at a reasonable time service was all good at this point but there attitude quickly turned when we told them we found a hair in our food this then put us off the food the owner came over and was rude and fobbed us off with just a fraction of the bill being discounted. High prices I expected great for and service very disappointed we will not be visiting again. Avoid

I visited Tandoori Nights this evening and it was a fantastic experience. First of all, you won't leave hungry. The portion sizes are extremely generous. The Chicken Pakora was tender and my wife enjoyed her Vegetable Samosa. My Kahari Chicken was very good but the best dish of the night was my wife's Desi Lamb. Our waiter - who was really friendly, a lovely guy - mentioned it was his favourite dish when he brought it. I totally understand why. Tender and full of flavour, it was excellent. The accompanying Pilau Rice and Keema Naan were also really good. I hope we get the chance to visit again as our waiter made some recommendations for next time which sounded lovely. Thanks for a great night.

Went on a Wednesday evening to dine in the restaurant. At the time there was 25% off total food bill (Sunday to Thursday). As soon as we walked in we were greeted by very friendly staff. The ambience is very nice with lovely decor and table covers. We noticed an area for larger parties but the separated area we were in was for smaller groups and couples (very nice). The food was excellent and very tasty. At the time of writing this review the restaurant wasn’t able to offer alcoholic drink so you are invited to take your own bottles. This was actually very good and they happily supplied the appropriate glasses for your choice of drink. We had an enjoyable evening with friends and found it difficult to fault the food which represented good value. Would definitely recommend.
