I ordered the chipotle pork tenderloin and wow ! I didn’t leave anything on the plate, so delicious. The service was a little slow but I think that’s because it was close to closing. My mom also ordered the crab cakes and said it was the best she’s ever had! Wonderful dinner experience. The buffet is also good and filled with staples. I wish there were less flies around but after that it’s wonderful.

We recently dined at Waters Edge Grill, nestled within the Hyatt Regency, and was captivated by the elegant atmosphere and stunning scenery. The ambiance sets the stage for a sophisticated dining experience, making it an ideal spot for special occasions and lovely pictures. The presentation of the dishes was nothing short of artistry, each plate crafted with precision. However, I must admit that while the visuals promised a culinary adventure, the taste fell short of expectations, scoring a 3/10 for minimal flavor. It's disappointing when the visual feast doesn't translate into a flavor explosion on the palate. On a brighter note, the drink selection deserves commendation. The variety of mixed drinks offered is extensive, and the quality of the beverages is consistently high. This certainly adds a delightful touch to the overall dining experience. The restaurant's location inside the Hyatt Regency was exceptionally convenient, but it's worth noting that the venue is somewhat secluded. If you're seeking a quiet escape to be in nice scenery and have drinks, this could be a plus; however, those looking for a more full dining experience it may not be the spot.

Water’s Edge Grill is part of the Hyatt Golf Resort. We had the buffet for breakfast and dinner. We ordered breakfast from the menu as well. No complaints everything was great! I am not a big buffet person because I can’t eat as much as I want…big eyes small belly. The photos are from the menu. I really enjoyed my order from the breakfast menu and was more fitting to my appetite. Service was great! You will be amazed at the service. They ask you about your stay, how was the food…very welcoming and is sure to take care of you. The restaurant is like an upscale restaurant with a choice of buffet. The setting was really nice with booths and setting with big high windows to make you feel like you were outside. Very nice setting. I highly recommend this restaurant during your stay.

NEED MORE OPTIONS 2 people of my party of 3 had to order off the KIDS MENU they both ordered the kids cheeseburger, they said it tasted fine but not great. The desserts were not all that great either I got the chocolate cake with no flour; it tasted like just eating a chocolate bar and it was dark chocolate it did not say it was dark chocolate, very expensive for not great food 😞 very nice service, very kind, but did not know much about the menu. The surroundings were warming, and somewhat gave me the feel of a fancy olive garden

Breakfast was amazing with very good options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians, their tofu scramble was delicious, I definitely appreciated at least having that option!! Our breakfast server was very kind and professional and was always available. The dinner menu, not so much for vegetarians, the choices were very limited! However, overall staff was nice and I enjoyed my stay at this hotel!

The menu seemed diverse and well thought out. It’s a nice vibe and I love that the kitchen is open and viewable. Everything seems to be fresh. I had cream of crab soup. We went for breakfast during our stay at the resort. I saw a menu online and planned to order from it, but our server told us it was buffet only for this day. The buffet was absolutely a disappointment. I felt like I was at a Golden Corral but paid $25 per person. To top it off, they let a woman at the table next to me order off the regular menu after I was told it was only buffet. Definitely do not recommend!!!

I am basing my high rating on the service alone. We are elite members and visit this Hyatt every year for the past 10 years. No one can top the service you receive from Kanika Bhatti at the Water’s Edge. She has been here for a while now and when she is our server it’s always the best!! Kanika knows the menu, she knows good wine and she’s always cheerful!! We were having an issue (not restaurant related) and she went above and beyond to make our dinner the most exceptional wonderful experience. Here is a young lady that traveled from another country while leaving her family behind to work in America, you should thank every lucky star for having an attentive, gracious worker such as Kanika. I say she should train others with hospitality! Promote that girl and give her a raise immediately, I worked from the bottom up I know what it’s like and I appreciate people that go above and beyond🫶🏻

We were at the Hyatt the weekend of August 6th. After reading the reviews about the restaurants on site we were a bit skeptical but didn't feel like driving so we reluctantly made reservations. We both had wonderful meals! I had filet which was a perfect medium and my husband had the jerk chicken which was very flavorful. Our server was Karen and she was lovely, very attentive and had a wonderful smile! All of the staff we came in contact with was very nice and seemed happy.

The staff were stretched very thin and it was obvious that they didn’t reduce the capacity at all, there were tables wall to wall. In post Covid times I understand how difficult it can be to hire or retain people, but to have this “high-end” restaurant that’s a part of the Hyatt telling people to “just do the Buffett because the kitchen is taking a really long time” isn’t ok. If it was just that it would be one thing. But there was also uncooked meat being served and flies buzzing around our table all night and at the buffet. At $40 per person these issues are simply unacceptable. Pay your staff more money and/or reduce the table count so you aren’t giving such poor food and service.

the takeout option was a nice touch, as we were able to take our food to the white gazebo and enjoy a beautiful morning by the water. The breakfast was solid, nothing too crazy or inventive, but it got the job done. Breakfast potatoes were quite good. The service was quick, as well. Unfortunately, I had to dock it a star because they forgot the wheat bread with my omelet. People make mistakes! But, mistakes come with consequences, albeit in this situation, only a star consequence for a respectable total of four stars.

Very disappointed. They claim to have online ordering, but it didn't work for me and at least one other customer that I overheard. Ordered to-go at the separate to-go window. The cashier was polite and helpful. For $68, got a cup of crab soup, mixed green salad with chicken, cheeseburger w/ fries, kids fish and chips, and quesadilla w/ side salad. The cashier forgot to ask what I wanted for salad dressing, and I forgot to ask when picking up. The food was very low quality. The burger was super basic. The quesadilla was also very basic and carelessly thrown into the box. The pico de gallo and guacamole had very little flavor. The fish sticks looked meager, but to be fair, my 5 year old daughter said they were good. I realize take-out it is not as good as eating in, but based on the way this food looked, I would not have wanted to eat it inside the restaurant either. I could understand if it was $30.

Unfortunately the dishes off the menu took forever…for both meals. This delay is compounded when part of the group gets the buffet. I will say that my daughter and I enjoyed the dinner buffet very much and the rockfish and soup were good but they should be ashamed of charging $48 for two minuscule crab cakes off the menu. After a 45 minute wait, it was insulting. Bottom line on dinner - at $38 the buffet with the seafood, vegetables, and prime rib was the way to go. This earned two stars. Breakfast was a complete disaster. My wife got the buffet and was underwhelmed across the board - for $25. Sad. It was on par with microwaved Hampton Inn food. Part of that was an order of eggs but no direction on how to place or receive the order. After the rest of us placed a simple order from the menu, we sat there for 40 minutes…no water refills, no coffee, no tea…no nothing!! My wife chased down her eggs from the kitchen. At some point, the waiter walks up, puts down the bill and says ‘take your time with this’. WHAT?!? Clearly he was living by those words. I asserted in no uncertain terms that we had not even been served drinks much less our lousy breakfast, hence the LACK OF PLATES!! I told him that he had 5 minutes to make it right. He failed. He blamed it on the kitchen being ‘backed up’. I pointed across the restaurant- it was half full at best. The food came out soon thereafter. It was ok…at best…plain and basic. He never gave me my coffee or filled the waters! Unacceptable. As we were getting up (now late for our appointment), he brings my wife’s eggs over and presents them with an incredulous ‘Here we are!’ as if he was expecting a golf clap from us and cheers from the balcony. You have to be kidding. Unbelievable!! He got no applause. If Hyatt wants to run a 5-star resort, this needs to be significantly improved. I know…Covid. Look, everyone in that restaurant was paying top dollar for shoddy service and a slow lackluster kitchen..we don’t want excuses…match the high prices with commensurate service and food or shut the doors. IF we recommend this resort it will come with a big warning about Waters Edge.

We went for the dinner buffet. Half our party had the Mac and cheese with shellfish, which was quite good though the shrimp was a bit over cooked. The balance of spice in the cheese sauce was excellent. The other half the party had fish and chips, very disappointing. There were a few small pieces of battered fish, a tiny portion of slaw, and a mass of soggy fried potatoes. The buffet was sparse at $38 a person, so we gave it a pass. Service was excellent.

Disappointed with this place. We stayed at the Hyatt for the night and decided to splurge and go to this place instead of the smaller more casual cafe. Our waitress was not attentive at all and they were not busy so not sure what was going on there. My food was great! But my husband got the crab stuffed lobster and it was the most disgusting crab meat ever, it was like cat food! Nasty. We waited 20 minutes before we had to ask a different waitress for our bill. For being pricey and in the Hyatt one would expect better service and food. When I received my entree Crab cake platter, all things on the plate looked charred. I ordered my crab cake broiled. Imaginative restaurant nestled inside the Hyatt. Lunch highlights are the chicken wings and blue crab bruschetta. The dinner buffet, $32 for adults, has great rotating selections like fresh monkfish with pineapple salsa and hand-carved prime rib. I have been here a couple of times and the last time I was here in early November was really dissapointing. The two stars are for the breakfast buffet which is good and for the waiter we had at dinner, he did a good job. However the food is overpriced and not great, my rock fish order was $33 and it was a quarter of a normal serving of fish. Also the sides I ordered came after I had finished my meal, and they were cold and salty. For such a nice location the restaurant needs to improve the menu and the flavor of food, since is the only dinner restaurant around. Next time I’ll just go ha e wings at the bar, is a safe bet.

Food was pretty tasty. The half chicken in peach BBQ is a nice dish. The creme brulee was bad. The texture was all wrong and the only thing saving it is that in the end it's still all sugar -- so it's at least sweet. The strawberry and peach cobbler is a large dish for a dessert but pretty great, I'd definitely order this one again (but I'll also probably not be coming back here) The place is pretty pricey for the quality. Wait staff is young and inexperienced, awkward, and spacey. Very sub par service -- we were seemingly forgotten about a few times. Overall I'm unimpressed but not completely disappointed.
