We were on holiday nearby & had a lovely day on Aberporth beach. We called in to WatersEdge for a late lunch & were very glad we did! It has gorgeous views out over the beach & the food was excellent. Between us we had fish & chips, a burger & chips, 2 brie & cranberry toasties, a kids pizza & a ham & cheese toastie with chips. All the food was delicious & we all really enjoyed our meals. Afterwards our little boy had an ice cream which again was really good & the ladies serving were really friendly. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Having just spent a week on holiday in Aberporth we absolutely love WatersEdge. We have called for ice cream (lush), just drinks to take to the beach (you can even get a beer to take out) and also lunch and breakfast. The fish pie is delicious as are the chicken and beef burgers. You can build your own burger in terms of what relish etc that you want and I don't mean in terms of mayo or ketchup, have a look! All good. We called for breakfast on the last day before we left and it was great, cannot recommend enough. Really nice, friendly staff - EXCELLENT! Thanks guys! We'll be back x

We have just been to this cafe a few times- i enjoy the beetroot and feta veggie burger. We all enjoyed their ice cream a lot. It came across as a friendly family run cafe which did good food and ice cream. I'd avoid the milkshakes because they weren't mixed particularly well and they were quite pricey. The food service wasn't fast but we were on holiday so had all the time in the world. Aberporth beach is lovely and with this so close and a beach shop next door, it's hard to reason why you'd go anywhere else as you had all you needed for a holiday with small kids within about 100metres. This is a lovely cafe, smart and not too expensive. Whilst spending a day on the beach we visited several times for drinks and ice creams. All of the drinks were lovely, the sweet coffee frappe was especially nice and my little girl was extremely happy with her 'enormous' strawberry milkshake. We planned to eat here at tea time, but as we visited at the very start of the season they close early. They were more than happy to recommend places for us to try for an evening meal, which was very helpful. The only thing slightly negative is that they have a restricted menu out of season (they did have a sign, but I admit, I missed it) so we were disappointed when we returned for breakfast on Saturday to be told they could only offer us a bacon sandwich and not the full English we fancied. Still, all in all, a lovely place to have a drink and a snack.

Visited here yesterday as a party of 5 which included 2 teenagers. Kids had jacket potatoes which were a bit firm to say the least. My husband and his mum had sandwiches which were to be fair ok. I asked for a salad and since I am on a strict diet for medical reasons asked could I have a basic salad of lettuce cucumber tomatoes peppers and beetroot but was refused as they only sold salad as a set meal inc coleslaw potato salad cous cous and meat despite the fact they had a salad bar.I was told it was £6.95 and i had to have it all or nothing I explained the situation but had a flat no off the owner who totally had no skills in the hospitality sector- she was both rude and unfriendly.had the children not been so hungry I would have left instead I ordered a black coffee which was weak and nothing like the picture displayed would never return and advise families to avoid like the plague- just money grabbers who haven't a clue !!!!!

We ordered 2 coffees 2 paninis and a childs chicken nuggets and chips. We were the only customers in the place and it took 15 minutes to get our coffees. It then took a further 15 minutes and they only came out with our two paninis and we had to wait another 15 minutes for the chicken nuggets and chips to come out. We had to wait nearly an hour for food in total and they couldnt even get 3 simple dishes out together. It realtl is unacceptable. The ingredients were cheap, nothing was homemade at the prices are high. The portions are also very small. One plus point is that the coffees are delicous but again in very small cups.Don't give this place your hard earned money.Decor wise the place is ok. We arrived at this beach side cafe after a tiring 5 mile walk looking for some simple lunchtime fare. The cafe serves the usual seaside fare - ice cream, sandwiches, light meals, tea, coffee, cakes, etc. We were duly rewarded with satisfying, freshly made sandwiches that hit the spot. The cafe also benefits from a location that directly overlooks the wonderful sandy Aberporth bay, which although not large is demonstrably a welcome place for families of all ages. Our visit was made particularly memorable by two things...The friendly, warm and chatty staff, who also took time to discuss local options for taxis and even went the extra mile and helped us out of an awkward situation when the local taxi company did not respond to my call. And on a culinary note, I can only heap salivating praise on the hot chocolate... This was not some cheap, sugary, supermarket powder concoction with a squirt of spray cream to make it "luxurious" but instead a proper, rich and slightly bitter dark chocolate liquid (Italian hot chocolate made the Spanish way apparently!!).We made a return visit the next day with that hot chocolate drink firmly planned in my mind, and were similarly warmly welcomed. It was a real pleasure to visit, and is a goto place on any future visit to Aberporth.

Unfortunately I had a very disappointing experience at Waters edge cafe today. I ordered a Ploughman's, a lasagne for myself, and one for my 2 children to share, favouring this option for them above the limited chip options available on the childrens menu. The total bill was nearly £30 - not overly cheap. The ploughmans was not what you would call exciting (a slice of ham, cheddar, stilton, bread and a bit of salad) One of the lasagnes was burned to a crisp when I cut into it. The manager explained that the microwave had obviously been put on too high a setting (rather too honest I thought for a meal costing £7.50!!). She offered to replace it. A replacement was delivered when the rest of my family had almost finished, and it looked this time soggy and underdone! There was no goodwill offer of even a free drink by way of an apology, and when one was requested, the manager looked puzzled as to why this may have been necessary. In the end, I returned the soggy meal, and she reluctantly refunded part of the price. Everyone makes mistakes - serving burned food is forgivable, if followed by a positive attitude towards customers. A real shame. This is a lovely spot, and customers which could potentially return time and time again should be valued.

We stopped at this Cafe and had a light lunch, the cafe is lovely with a lovely view, the staff were all so very friendly and welcoming. We will definately be calling back soon. Lovely to go to places where customer satisfaction is still worth something. Thank you

We had a lovely lunch on the patio, the staff were friendly and the choice of burgers good - lamb and feta was very tasty! Good value in a lovely town.

One of the challenges of leaving sizeable towns & cities is the challenge of still being able to acquire great coffee - no such problem in Aberporth. The Cafe / diner is traditional of small coastal villages but the wa welcome & greAt coffee are comparable with them all. Really nice staff make getting the daily ( x 3) fix all the more enjoyable. To make it a full 5 stars ... Probably a comfy armchair to sit and check in on what is happening at work!

Lovely fresh food, able to cater for both vegetarian and gluten free. The chef came out to speak to us about our order and we felt looked after

We went for Sunday lunch. There was Pork loin or Beef to choose from. We chose pork and it was lovely. There were 7 side vegetables, all beautifully cooked also Apple sauce and gravy. For desert there was a large choice. I chose the home made meringues with summer fruits and whipped cream. The meringues were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. They were beautiful as they were not too sweet and the fruit and cream complemented the meringues very well. My husband chose the home made apple flan with ice cream and that was also very much enjoyed. The staff are very welcoming and we will certainly be back. Thank you.

Came for Sunday lunch on 3rd November and the food and service was outstanding. We had 3 courses and each course was lovely. The beef and salmon were perfectly cooked and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The atmosphere was great and we’re looking forward to our next visit very very soon.

The View certainly has the Wow Factor! From the comfortable, modern vibe to the fabulous hosting, Lorraine with her team made our Sunday lunchtime ( and Friday coffees) an absolute pleasure. It really did feel like the customer’s needs were at the heart of what is offered. The carvery totally reached the spot with a very reasonable price tag. What more could we have hoped for. Thank you x
