Never been in but put off by the disgusting sign on the door. Assuming they wouldn't let this guy in?

Fantastic spot. Enjoyed. Will do so again and probably again after that. This is the circle of life.

I chose to celebrate my 40th Birthday at Waterloo House in January 24. What an excellent decision, I had an absolutely fantastic evening. Christo and his Team, were incredible - they worked so hard to ensure that the night was a huge success. True professionals through and through, nothing was too much trouble. My guests all complimented the venue, at night time a real ambiance is created by all the quirky lights and the bar service was super efficient. I can not recommend Waterloo House highly enough, thank you so much for helping to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Went in for drinks and what a laugh of a night really good music and the atmosphere was brilliant everyone out for a laugh drinks were a good price and look forward to going back in the near future

Excellent cocktails, served quickly at a very reasonable price. The barkeeps were friendly and we had a great chat with them! Live music was very nice, really great atmosphere. Fab place to finish a holiday on a high!

Lovely gem of a bar. The staff behind the bar were so welcoming and friendly. The cocktails were fab and really reasonably priced. We were only down for the long weekend but popped in every night. Would highly recommend this place and the delicious Moscow Mules!

Beautiful building and friendly staff just a lot of the customers seemed to have weak bladders as they was in and out the toilets and they seemed to come out very hyper and agitated not a pub for me

Very nice, nicely decorated pub, with pleasant music on Thursday evenings. We are well received, well settled and the red wine is delicious.

Friendly bar that serves a good selection of delicious cocktails, has a nice selection of wines and gins, and a choice of tap and bottled beers. Serves bar snacks, crisps, nuts etc also has a very good coffee and cake deal.There is live music on Thursdays and occasionally karaoke. The staff and manager are friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend for drinks.

Popped in for a pre dinner drink whilst staying overnight in Nailsworth. Were immediately greeted by a very friendly young man. Great service, nice clean bar and glasses. Anyway, it was so nice we went back for a couple more drinks after dinner. Different server but just as warm a welcome. The music selection was great (we are in our mid 40s) and not so loud that we couldn't hold a conversation. Didn't eat there but I eyed up the cakes on the bar and they looked delicious. Just wish we had a bar like this near us - it would be our go to.

We stayed near Horsley last weekend and after our dinner in a restaurant in Nailsworth nearby we popped round to Waterloo house. We had such a wonderful time. Cocktails were fabulously and reasonably priced, delicious and the staff themselves were lovely. We found it hard getting back to our air b&b as our taxi had driven off and the owner kindly dropped us off. Couldn’t recommend any more!

Me and my partner stayed in Nailsworth for a weekend away; coming up from Bristol. We spent our first night here and the owner joined us and we all spent the evening chatting away. Him and his staff were absolutely lovely. A great way to start our trip! The drinks are reasonably priced (lovely cocktails) and the building is wonderful, really well decorated. A great addition to Nailsworth and lucky that the locals have it on their doorstep!

Interesting pub in the village, very grateful that they opened as there was very little open but having said that I'm also glad they did as a great pub full of character and good beer (or coffee).

The building was freezing when we visited on a Tuesday evening. Cocktails were nice and the barman was friendly. Lovely building just needed the heating on.

A great atmosphere and a very warm welcome from the friendly owner, as well as water and biscuits for our dog. The selection and quality of the cocktails is fantastic, as good as you would find in any large city. We will slowly work our way through the extensive cocktail menu!! Those we have has so far were delicious!

We had delicious cocktails and enjoyed the live music very much. We were visiting Nailsworth until we could find a place to live permanently (just moved to the UK from USA) and this was a great place to unwind with a diverse drink menu. The staff was very friendly with great service.

Spent a couple of hours here when we travelled down from Penrith to watch Northampton play at FGR. Lovely clean pub, friendliest landlord in the country, will be back one day

Great find , we loved the building the interior of the bar was lovely nice to have a bit of back ground music, the quality of the drinks was very good , the manager was exceptional very informative and really friendly we will return when back in the area . Loved the place . I hope they go from strength to strength especially given these difficult times which has been so tough for the hospitality sector Well done to all involved .

Lovely secret outdoor space. Excellent vegan breakfast (I'm not a vegan). Lovely fresh black coffee. Good for brunch or burgers.

Absolutely incredible - if there ever was a time to support local business, please get your Friday night take away from Waterloo House. Christo goes above and beyond to make sure everything is exquisite. The menu is especially unique and for me personally it was so refreshing to try something new and to such a high standard and for reasonable prices too. I really cannot recommend this place enough. Had what I think might be the nicest burger I've ever had. The billaboing boing burger, a double kangaroo burger with brie, chilli jam and lettuce. Amazing!

Ordered tonight off just eat but something went wrong, I was waiting to hear back from Waterloo house re this and then received a text from just eat saying order was cancelled. I was contacted by Waterloo house and said technical issue had happened but they have my order and can still put it through and deliver ASAP if I wanted. Perfect as we were gutted and really looking forward to it! They didn’t have to do this they could have just left it cancelled and continued with new orders once issue was sorted! Amazing service, really really lovely guy (so sorry I don’t know your name!) can’t fault them so impressed and love ordering from here! Well done! 👏🏼

Delicious takeaway with generous portions. Always reliably tasty! Particular enjoyed the healthy vegan burger. Can't wait for it to reopen, easily the best cocktails in the Stroud valleys!

We ordered from Waterloo House for my birthday takeaway, the food is always so tasty and Christo is great to deal with. He also delivered some excellent cocktails to make this lockdown birthday extra special. Thank you Waterloo House. Hopefully it won't be long until the next time.

This was our first time ordering from waterloo house through just eat can highly recommend it!!! Well cooked great ingredients helps there is a good amount too!!! Coleslaw needs to be homemade though the only criticism apart from that support these guys great food

A friend and i decided to treat our selves to a take away. Thought we would try waterloo house... never again. After waiting 3 hours for our meal it arrived. Burgers were cold as well as the chips not that there were many. The cakes squashed to nothing and the cherry on top? A fly in my cocktail. £30+ gone from my bank and i feel sick. I would have preferred to say this personally but its seems no ones answering. Beyond disappointed

Came here last night for a meal, was told to go upstairs to be sat on a table surrounded by other tables with chairs on them like it’s closing ruined the atmosphere. Waited about 15 minutes to order food even though we was the only ones there eating. Food came - it was cold, bacon burnt, bread tasted out of date, was like a massive mess on the plate. Both meals wasn’t eaten and wasn’t even asked how our food was to mention anything about it. We stood at the bar waiting for someone for 10 minutes to pay seems to be no staff around at all. When I told him how awful the food was he didn’t even care or ask what was wrong so we left having to pay alot of money for awful food uneaten. I would not recommend for food but downstairs at the bar would be nice but we won’t be going back again. It’s such a shame because the place looks beautiful needs a lot of work with staff, the menu and generally looking after customers.

Popped in while waiting for my tyre to be sorted at Nailsworth Tyre Centre. Coffee and cake for £3, very nice carrot cake! A lovely, relaxing place to while away half an hour.

Visited for the first time for lunch/breakfast. Food excellent and very reasonably priced. Service very helpful and friendly. As mentioned by other reviewers some parts of the building are clearly in the process of being refurbished, but that did not detract from our experience. Good luck with the business!

We had breakfast here yesterday and the food was excellent. Really interesting alternatives to the usual breakfast dishes (they had those too). Great Hobbs House coffee and very friendly service.

Drinks nice not over priced but the women behind the bar seem more interested than talking to each other or being on their phones than actually serving customers

Ordered the club chicken sandwich, wow, tastes fantastic. Portion is on the large side so you need to be hungry!! Lovely staff, first time we visited so will be back again.

Popped in here for tea and cake 6pm Monday. Service was great. Cake delicious and good value. Place was quiet and I felt v peaceful amongst the twinkly lights. Will def visit again. Keep up the good work guys.

I have eaten in Waterloo House quite a few times since it opened last year and never had a bad meal. This was the same today when I enjoyed lunch with a colleague.I had the Sirloin steak which was cooked perfectly to order. It comes with a lovely little caesar salad and of course the truffle fries, which are always a winner.There was only on person working in the bar/restaurant area, but she was pleasant and friendly. As we were leaving someone else had just started, which was probably perfect timing as it was getting busier and one person making coffees, bar drinks, and waiting and clearing tables would have been pretty hard going!Of course I'll be back again and will continue to recommend it to other people too.

Nice place to work in Nailsworth, WiFi, power sockets and a fantastic hot drink and cake deal for £3. Food served to other customers looked good and it's a nice big space, so I'll definitely be back to try their other offerings!

We stopped by at Waterloo House as our third choice to eat - everywhere else was too busy. I knew it was bad but we had no choice as our baby needed some food after a long walk. Waterloo House is a very strange vibe. It must have been an old bank, now turned into a cocktail bar that seems to offer everything from coffee and cake to full English breakfast. It reminds me of a JD Wetherspoons except that it’s quadruple the price. There are twinkly lights everywhere, pictures of The Cotswolds printed onto canvas for sale on the walls and as you sit down on black fake leather seats, S Club 7 booms out of the speakers. We quickly ordered a children’s meal for baby at £6.95. When it came it was an espresso cup full of baked beans, one small sausage and a basket full of chips that had been absolutely covered in garlic salt. Absolute extortion. I asked for an extra sausage and some more beans though, to which they agreed. The waiter forgot our drinks as he was the only one serving the whole venue so we waited 20 minutes for two half cokes. Our burgers came, which to be fair were quite nice but again the chips were completely covered in garlic salt... I mean there’s only so much garlic salt you can eat before you start to feel really sick. We ate it all because we were absolutely starving and our meal for two small burgers and chips, a kids meal and two half cokes was £42. This could have been spent on a better experience or a decent meal somewhere ... or a weekly shop for the whole family whereby my son could have had a nutritious meal. Personally, I would stay clear of Waterloo House for food. For cocktails, I can’t really say, but it’s probably ok. And after a few of those you won’t mind the terrible music. We definitely won’t be spending any many there again no matter how hungry we are.

Taking advantage of fine weather we walked the couple of miles to Nailsworth to try a place we've been meaning to visit for a few months. It was certainly worth it. Although quite full, it was relaxedly busy and our order was taken straight away.The coffee was very good and hot as I like it despite forgetting to request it be 'extra hot' it was. There was a selection of cakes all of which looked tempting.Excellent value and friendly service. We will be going back!

Waited almost an hour for food to arrive. When my daughter's came I was told that my order was not available but that I wouldn't have to wait much longer. I reordered and waited another 20 mins but nothing came for me. Don't know what was going on as it did not seem busy.

Nice place, nice staff. Clean and tidy bar but please sort out your toilets! They need a serious clean. (A deep clean) Let's the place down and a real disappointment.

We called in late morning for breakfast. Very friendly staff, reasonably priced cooked breakfast which included hot drink. Unfortunately my daughter had a bit of a mishap and spilt a whole mug of tea over the breakfast she'd just been served! The waitress was lovely and organised a replacement of both the drink and the meal, which they refused to let us pay for. Very enjoyable breakfast and great customer service, would definitely go back if we're in the area again.

I’ve been supporting this business since it was first converted from a bank branch. I realise this is under new management now.We popped in for coffee this morning. I was sad to see the beautiful room had declined. The original unisex toilets have been fairly crudely refitted into gents/ladies (I was in building, so I have an idea of fit-out). The old garden area is sadly a bin store now.The restaurant felt like it had no love or care about it. It smelled strongly of grease and there was dust on all the surfaces. Maybe an off day.But the coffee was utterly tasteless, lukewarm and not well executed. If you want to attract cafe business from Jolly’s & Henry’s the standard/training needs to improve.Based on today’s experience, I won’t be going back for food. There’s so much on offer locally.

Lovely place! Warm welcoming staff, gorgeous decoration and even better food. I had a vegan burger and vegan chocolate caramel cake - both were AMAZING! The only downside was it was absolutely freezing in there, other than that it was perfect

Brilliant atmosphere and fantastic cake!!

Went for light lunch. Ordered crushed avocado and chicken club with a pint of IPA (Pds. 4.30) and Stowford (Pds4.40). My wife liked the avocado but I found the chicken club too big a portion (Pds. 14). Did not stay for coffee.
