Waterfold Farm, Dining & Carvery in Rochdale

We really enjoyed our carveries on Wednesday teatime and had fabulous friendly service from Pam. I couldn’t manage a dessert so we took some cake home instead.

Vaun is a wonderful woman put a smile on my face. Very welcoming and friendly. Made me want to come back again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

service is always great and very nice staff, the food is great quality. it’s amazing for any type of visit with family or friends and everything is a reasonable price

We went for dinner on Monday night. The food and service was amazing as always. Tom took our order. He was fantastic. He was very helpful and very patient while we were ordering. Two had the carvery, and two had the cauliflower salad. We all really enjoyed all our meals. It’s really a great place to eat and the prices are good. Go eat there and enjoy.

We had the carvery and it was lovely, the restaurant was very clean and the dessert selection was delicious. Pam our waitress was brilliant will definitely be back!

Amazing place to visit!! Not from the area but felt right at home upon visiting here, the service is amazing and the food is incredible, Ash was so friendly and super helpful, would definitely recommend to anybody!

I come here twice a week for breakfast, there's always lots of fresh food out, and you can have as much as you like, the staff are all very polite and friendly, especially vaun , she always makes me feel welcome and is always happy and always asking if I need anything else, lovely woman.

The customer service of Tim was fantastic he went above and beyond when serving us, was very polite and helpful, the prices of the meals/drinks are great very affordable and the quality of the food was amazing! Very tasty. We came later on in the afternoon and the entertainment that was on was great, involved everyone around if needed to join in and couldn’t ask for better service really. Thank you

Bored and tired staff, food looking good but no flavour. Disappointing experience.

Weeknight, so the place was fairly quiet. Had to go to the bar to order food and drinks with table number. Food was delivered by a waitress.

We came for a birthday Dinner this evening, Aedan and Millie looked after us from beginning to end of our meal, great service from both staff, thanks we will be back here again.😊

Updating my previous review after a much better experience. Yesterday we went to water fold form with 7 other members of the family. We had a great experience from walking through the door all the way through to leaving. The staff was all pleasant and helpful. The food was beautiful and lots on the plate it was all timed perfectly. We all left with full tummy's and even a cheeky sweet treat to take away with us. Yesterday's visit was 100% better this time round. ************* My previous review ************** We went as a family as a Christmas treat after the Santa special. We was warmly welcomed by a manager and escorted to our table. We had a wonderful server who was fantastic she was very lovely and happy to be of assistance. She even carried my mum's carvery over to the table as she saw my mum struggling. The only thing I have to have a moan about is that the tables was very close together and we was seated behind another group booking. When any of us had to move from our chair it caused disruption to us and the family behind us. The adult meals was wonderful good portions and rather tasty however we was a little disappointed by the children's meals. The burger was literally a burger on a small unbuttered muffin. There wasn't alot on the plate. The starter was great though. Then it was time for the pudding. We decided to take our puddings home with us as we was stuffed from the first 2 courses. Later that evening I had my cake which was marvelous and my husband tucked into his chocolate eclair. I could tell something was wrong and he said it tasted funny. I tried a small bit of the cream and he was right the cream had certainly turned and was off. The few things that we was disappointed at considering the money we had spent made it a little bit of a let down.

The service was very good. Millie was very welcoming.

Food was dry, had to ask for new scrambled eggs as they were grey! Toast rock solid, not the best over all.

Lovely Sunday carvery meal with family. Good food, very friendly and accommodating bar and waiting staff - Vaun was very friendly and welcoming and looked after us during our visit. Nice atmosphere with everyone enjoying time together as a family. Would highly recommend.

Excellent family dining experience. Came for a Sunday Carvery, good food and value for money. Greeted me served by Vaun who was atttentive and very friendly. Nice play area for the children. Recommended for a family dining experience

We were served by Millie today who was so lovely and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was great and my daughter enjoys that there is space to play indoors while she waits for her food. Will definitely return.

Had to come back again to try the new menu options! We tried the yorkie wraps and it definitly was a hit. The lovely vaun was very attentive as always and the girls at the bar were great too always a good atmosphere every time I come here

Late night visit on Wednesday, team were so friendly but just found the review card in my bag. Tegan and Ash were amazing and helped with everything we could. Thank you for this and next time we visit we can’t wait to see you again!

I found all the staff very friendly and polite, had a wide choice of breakfast items to choose from. Again VAUN was polite and cheerful, also VAUN came to ask if everything was satisfactory, which i thought was nice ( you didn't get that kind of service in many places anymore).I will definitely come back and recommend to my friends and family.

Food was nice but it was a massive let down by the service. The lady dropped a pot of gravy on the floor and it went all over me & my wife. No apology until we complained about it to her. She cleaned the floor before saying anything to us. Very rude staff & the service is slow too!

Always attend here, usually fab but today was not a great experience... Grit in glass, customer service not up to its usual standard. This was not what we usually encounter at the waterfold so it was quite disappointing

Oscar and Eve were our waiter / waitress’ today and what a fantastic job they do! Never an empty glass on the table and they were so polite and welcoming. We will definitely be returning in the future as not only was the service PERFECT! The food was amazing too 10/10!

Although we were advised prior to eating that they had a "bad batch" of potatoes, and that the mash and roasties may not be up to standard, I did select a couple of roast potatoes and yes they definitely had a bad (or rather rotten) batch...they were black inside, not something that would happen in the cooking process...and definitely not something I would have put out for human consumption. In my opinion I would have binned the lot and complained to the supplier and not tried to wing it with the customers. The rest of the food was ok, meat was tasty enough and veg was ok, cauliflower cheese ewww...no sauce with it just a bit of cheese grated on top. Also the interior is a little tired and had a grubby feel about it - dust at the edges of the carpet where the hoover has definitely missed. Not a great experience and one we won't be rushing to repeat...sorry

Been going to Waterfold 15 years and it’s still as good as ever. Vaun was our server and she is so so lovely and accommodating to our needs. She deserves a medal 10/10. Thanks Vaun 🥰

Our wonderful helper Vaun was fabulous. Very friendly and helpful. It made a nice experience so much better. It is so nice to be looked after by someone who clearly Loves what they do, and it shows. Too focused on takeaways meaning the queue for carvery was always extremely long. Need more staff on carvery or at least pre slice the meat to prevent a big hold up. Cheese pie was watery and cold by time we got to front. Probably wouldn't go again.

Went to restaurant and told that they had no table limited time up to an hour and half what a waste of time came here second time still they won't change pointless. Will not recommend this to anyone came all way from london

We visited late on a Sunday afternoon. Luckily it wasn't busy so we got a table straight away and enjoyed a carvery. Meat was nice and tender and good selection of vegetables. I asked for a portion of peas for one of my fussy daughters and they were happy to oblige. The staff were all efficient and friendly, and it was nice talking to Millie. Thank you for an enjoyable meal.

Great place for the children food was good

Queues for food can get a little long and take a while to navigate (although you can order via the app if not paying cash) but, other than that, I can't fault the place for good pub food at a decent price. I can particularly recommend the hunters chicken. Generous in both chicken and BBQ sauce and best I have had (and I've had a lot!) Staff are always friendly and a nice atmosphere. Tom was very personable and helpful today

Food was extremely awful, it was carvery breakfast, only beans were hot. Hot water for tea was in a flask and luke warm. All in all for £20 worst breakfast we've ever had.
