Staff were friendly and worked hard. Our starter were ok but the mains, two tandoori chicken sizzlers were completely burnt beyond recognition, veg was cold and sloppy. It came with boiled rice and was so dry it was hard to eat. We had a side order of chips, they were the worst frozen chips I have ever tasted, needless to say, we won’t be back.

Went to the bar to order my food. The women with glasses, not sure of her name was extremely unwelcoming. Placed my order and went to my table. When my food came I told the waitress that my order was wrong which she repeated my order to me which I told her politely wasnt what I ordered. She then raised it to the woman that took my order from the bar who tried to tell me that I did order something that I didnt. She rolled her eyes and pulled a face. No apology, just a bad attitude. Made myself and who I was with very uncomfortable. Not sure what her problem was as I was polite the whole time. Will not be returning based off service alone. Should not be going out to eat and be made to feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable.

I come in here quite often and can only say how things have really, really improved. Liam, the general manager tries so hard to get the place where it should be, even on busy days he always manages to serve Everyone with a big smile on his face. I definitely recommend the white hart if you’re looking for a place to have drinks/food, alone or even with company!

Been going for years, always go for the mixed grill! Good prices and beer. 👍

The menu in here is nowhere near as good as it was ,in fact it's rubbish ,they also need to get rid of the John Smiths bitter which is awful JW Lees would be better.

Excellent service and food was served freshly cooked and tasted magnificent. I had the fish and chips with another for special price of 2 for 12.50 , I then doubled my fish for additional 2.50, I thought the extra would be a small portion of fish! It was actually, a full portion and filled my plate. The other members of family had Hunters Chicken and Salad Bowl with grilled salmon and all said was excellent, I personally passed on Dessert(having managed 2 fish) but Apple pie and brownies was enjoyed by others. Please if you have not visited I assure you the quality and service is exceptional.

I recently dined at The White Hart and was impressed by the outstanding service. Kelly provided exceptional customer care, going above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The dishes crafted by chefs Paul, Troy, and Andy were delicious and beautifully presented. Lisa's attentive and professional service added to our delightful experience. Highly recommended!

Very friendly family atmosphere James served us at the bar friendly and efficient, Liv and Morgan served us our food. Impeccable manners and made sure we had everything we needed. We did not have to wait long for our food. The food was really good as expected with a good value for money price. The burgers were well cooked and the children enjoyed them. The chicken burger cooked nicely and not dry. The chicken gyros well presented and tasted amazing really good for a bigger appetite. Would recommend.

Excellent steak came medium but still nice. Staff very friendly, cheap and cheerful.

What we ordered and what came out. Very unhappy. Chicken was over cooked and tasteless. Ended up leaving. Won't be back. We had raised our issues with a service who had just brushed us off and seemed completely uninterested in our issue. Definitely will not be going back, and will strongly discourage anyone from coming here!

Really nice pub. Third time we've been for a staff meal and meeting. There was a Xmas quiz on which was a great night! Staff very accommodating, gave us a quiet area of the pub so we didn’t disturb other customers. Food was very tasty and good selection too. We will be back again!

Male bar staff was abrupt and didn’t want me ordering food. Food came and it was not as pictured and overcooked. I made a complaint and was brushed off. Will definitely be avoiding this place and will be telling everyone to steer clear.

Thursday night is our regular night at the White Hart love our weekly visits, always great to see the team and have some fantastic food 😀

As regular here I don't like to complain. Unfortunately the quality of the steak over the last few weeks has deteriorated to unedible (after complaining my bill was adjusted accordingly) Why the cooks serve up a cut of meat which is more fat, gristle and sinu than meat is very poor. There is no excuse to serve a meal when you know its not acceptable. I should say however the rest of the meals we ordered were excellent. The staff are fantastic and I feel for them as they work their socks off. The management need to address the standard of steaks that are being supplied. It's embarrassing for the staff and massively disappointing for the customer. My family and I will not be visiting the white hart for a while now. Hopefully the management will address the shocking standard of meat they are expecting customers to pay for. Such a shame for this place to turn out such rubbish steaks when they have such great staff. If it wasn't for the fantastic staff I'd never go again.

Myself and my partner was there on Saturday for a meal, we ordered the the 2, 8oz rump steaks it was disgusting I couldn’t cut thorough it it was so chewy so much gristle worst meal I’ve ever had. Not once did any of the staff come and asked if everything was okay and now I can see why I should of sent it back but to British I suppose but never go back and will never recommend the place.

Fiid served on cast iron heated platter - this sounds as thought it keeps things warm but actually can burn it. My wifes rump steak should have been medium but was full of grisle & completely burnt on one side - it was inedible .My mushrooms onion rings & tomatoes had sections completely burnt - all of which I left. The staff offered a new steak or complementry pudding - we chose the latter. The staff were helpfull & understanding of the problem.

Came in today with my partner and daughter, we ordered food and the fries came covered in carbon from the fryer not being cleaned (I know this being a chef myself). We we're then offered replacement fries which also had carbon granted not as much but still coved the fries. This can cause cancer when eating to much so fries caked in it is not good at all. When telling the manager he looked confused and asked me what carbon was so I guess he was clueless about hygiene in the kitchen. It looks like they have had some sort of leak and not painted over it. Grease marks all over the wall as well. Really bad experience won't be returning.

The staff are very welcoming and go the extra mile, making sure we have everything to enjoy our meals.

Twice now I have spent £120 (both within a month) both times I tried to use my 20% off code from the app which I have earned and both times it hasn’t worked. I have recommended the place to my mum who is a pensioner and she had the same experience today. She didn’t get her 25% code off

Great staff and amazing service nothing is too much trouble. The food is lovely and we enjoyed our lunch. Kelly, liv, nathan, matt were all great. Along with the chefs sarah, troy and Andy cooking the food to perfection

Absolutely terrible from start to finish. Staff was rude and obnoxious when being spoken to, had a terrible attitude (James). The food took well over an hour to arrive, even a kids chicken nugget meal which was overcooked and dry. The adults meal, sizzlers were over cooked and dry and the veg was all stuck burnt to the hot plate. Would not recommend.

Went for early evening meal with family, food was excellent, all meals came out together and all were piping hot and well cooked. All the staff were good from at the bar and asking about any allergies to the staff who served us. A big thank you to James and all his excellent staff.

Food was good, decent for the price. Staff friendly and helpful however it was clear they were rushed off their feet and needed more help. Place was clean but could do with a lick of paint as it was tatty. Cheap and cheerful for a budget midweek outing

Brilliant food and fast service

Not been here in many years, last minute visit this evening, I had the new salmon sizzler , and mum had the chicken sizzler, we had a sundae for dessert. The food was delicious, really enjoyed the sizzlers and the desserts. The staff on duty where very nice, working hard, attentive. louisa and liv. The chefs Andy and Troy doing a fabulous job. No complaints here. Was a nice peaceful experiance. We will be dining here again very soon. 😁.

Visited today...10.12.23 wasn't very hungry so ordered a starter each (my friend and i) so I got chicken wings and she got haloomi fries...tasted lovely but £5.99 for 3 tiny chicken pieces and £5.99 for 5 yes 5 fries was very disappointing...

We usually go at lunchtime and it is,always very good. Took a friend Saturday night and the service and food was good but the atmosphere was dreadful. Seated near the bar and 2 girls on the next table were very loud and their language was disgusting. Nothing was said to tgem. On the other side was a couple with 2 children and their boy aged about 3 was stretched out on the seat asleep.

It wasn't good. Poor service. Food very average and one dish was Luke warm. Probably sat on the pass for 20 minutes cos no staff. Forgot to bring part of the order. The venue was freezing cold. Ate with our coats on. Disappointing experience.

There could be specials where you can choose seasonal meals. eg potato hash and red cabbage in Winter +various soups, more choice of salad in Summer etc.
