Doing the East Lancs railway and came across this Loved this little independent tea room. Had a great capachino, I love a hot capachino and this was hot. My wife had a scone and I asked them to warm it for15 secs which they did and then brought out a nice lot of butter and tons of cream, we don't do jam but was asked. It was so reasonable that I made the difference up in a tip to what I would have paid in a Costa/Starbucks a few pounds difference . Well worth a visit for a brew :) p. s they had a great looking food menu at extremely good prices if I get the opportunity I'm going back :)

A great little cafe. The bacon and eggs were perfectly cooked, with lovely fresh muffins. Nice friendly staff, spotlessly clean and tidy. Good choice of cakes available, all very reasonably priced.

Myself and my friend had a really bad experience here. When my friend asked whether you had any dairy alternative milks your waitress laughed and replied ‘skimmed milk or water’. For someone with a serious medical condition of which milk would make her very ill, this is really not an appropriate response as I’m sure you’d agree? For a woman working in hospitality to be mocking allergies is completely unacceptable. We definitely will not be returning and instead going elsewhere, somewhere that actually takes allergies seriously. I suggest you retrain your staff on allergens.

There was a sign outside and another inside saying that the cafe was open until 5pm. We are elderly and disabled and it was pouring with rain, so after crossing several busy roadways, we arrived at ten minutes to four. We were told by a very indifferent woman that the cafe was closing in five minutes. When we spoke about the signs and asked if we could just have a cup of tea, she said,” You will have to take it outside to drink, because I am closing the door on five minutes.” We left the cafe and will not return.

We went for lunch and the food was up to its usual high standard. The sandwiches are very good but I would recommend the homemade cheese and onion pie

Decided to eat here at the last minute as needed somewhere central to meet a friend. Nice menu, not too big, food is simple but tasty and nicely presented, and very reasonably priced. Took a little time to place order as lady behind counter was very busy, but was worth the wait. Would def recommend x

This tea room is well worth a visit, situated in Mike Goldrick Blinds in Heywood. It is an excellent choice for lunch with a great selection of meals and drinks. There is a breakfast menu and plenty of snacks available. Great service and good value for money

This is a cosy no frills cafe, that serves a great variety of homemade dishes and gives good value for money. The home made pea and ham soup was hot and delicious, and liver and onions were tasty. It seems popular with the older crowd, but would encourage all ages to try it for good food at a great price. Tea served in 'proper' vintage tea pots (no leaky chrome pots here!). The services was very good and attentive. Such a lovely change from the fast food restaurant variety with no personality.

Arrived with my son and got told extremely rudely that they were going to close in 10 minutes by the young female behind the counter. I asked if we could just grab a brew and a scone but she clearly wasn't interested in serving us so we told her to forget it. Absolutely shocking experience.

It was a lovely cafe despite the clientele being little older than myself. It's not a huge room and the tables are quite close together, when it is busy which it was whilst I was there, it feels a little claustrophobic. Orders are taken at the counter and not the table which isn't a big issue and once ordered the food arrived quite quickly. The cream tea I ordered was very nice an reasonably priced. The decor is a little old fashioned and obviously personal to the owners with various photo's of a little girl on one wall. As a woman in my 30's this wouldn't be my first choice to meet friends in the future but if they suggested it, i wouldn't refuse it either.

This was my second visit to Tilly's with family who live in Heywood. A perfect place for a simple lunch. Everything tasted and looked home cooked. The tea was just as I'd make it myself, the Bakewell slice was delicious and the chips were just fab! Best ones I've ever had, I think.

They need to learn how to make coffee. We ordered a coffee and it came with cold milk on the side. Scones were lovely though. Suggest the ladies try a Costa coffee to see how it's done.

A typical tea room, part of the Mike Goldrick company who are a supplier of household blinds etc. go choose your blinds and then relax in the tea room. The menu is quite varied and they specialise in home made soups.

We really enjoyed our carveries on Wednesday teatime and had fabulous friendly service from Pam. I couldn’t manage a dessert so we took some cake home instead.

1/10 only good thing was the bottle of old mout cider. Dog friendly but people moving away from us (sausage dog who sat in silence) steak ciabatta came on a bread roll and was a like a tough dry piece of beef rather than any kind of steak. Food also came in around 3 minutes which tells me it's was all just heated up.

My husband and I went to the Summit Inn (Littleborough) for a few drinks and a meal. It was a couple of years since we last visited. Straight away we noticed things have deteriorated, one young lady behind the bar and another serving meals although the pub was very busy. This is not a complaint about the staff as it was obvious they were run off their feet. We were warned of a 40 minute wait for meals which came and passed. When the meal arrived it was a disgrace. How the chef let this meal leave the kitchen is a bad indication of his/her ability. One of the meals contained a baked potato and the skin was rock hard, impossible to cut into. The cheese and onion pie had collapsed into an almost flat mess. The beans were okay. The second meal was chilli with chips and rice. It arrived at the table with a skin on top. It looked to me as if it had been stood for a long time and then microwaved and served. Chatting with other customers outside the pub it sounded like this was quite common. This used to be a good pub with good meals, not any more. We won't be visiting again under this management.

My wife and I visit the Honeypot cafe almost every week and were sitting next to the man that offended the previous two ladies. We were both taken aback by his rude manners which were completely out of order. However the staff were quite unaware of this and were also shocked when we told them what had occurred. We will be continuing to enjoy our regular visits to the lovely Honeypot where they serve excellent Coffee and Mombai Raliway Chai Tea It is also our grandchildren’s favourite cafe and a treat every available holiday to go and have a panini and an iced tea in the Honeypot.
