Lovely baristas and best coffee on the block. Atmosphere is relaxing and the fire place is a lovely bonus in the chilly months. 10/10 coffee shop!

Went to the location at St Mary Axe and the service was great snd the coffee and pastries were superb - the bathrooms in the other hand were absolutely awful! I was really shocked and I hope that if I come back that this might have been a one off!

Went to the Watchhouse on Shade Thames (Tower Bridge) SE1 for breakfast - great service, great space and great food. Think it will be my local for the next week.

This used to be a lovely hip friendly local place with great food, sadly in the past few years they have really taken their foot off the pedal. They dropped many of the much loved dishes from the past (we used to have porridge there a couple times a week then they went vegan porridge only - killed that) We used to love their sweet chilli chicken wrap had one a couple days ago, dry and pretty tasteless. They used to do these lovely brioche bacon rolls, the amount of bacon in the one I had last week was not even half what they used to put in (the price is still £4.50) The worst thing is the people who served me the last couple of times clearly couldn’t care less, they hardly make eye contact or say anything to you - I know it’s a hip place but seriously a little human kindness goes a long way. Sad but as a local resident I rarely go in there anymore there is plenty of other much better alternatives.

Recommended as a lunch stop while in Bermondsey and it hit the spot perfectly. Friendly, super-efficient service, interesting food choices, great coffee and reasonable prices. Buzzy atmosphere and attractive decor. In, out and well fed in under 30 mins is exactly what I needed (and got).

Late lunchtime on a weekday. Five customers at tables inside, three at tables outside. Four staff - friendly welcoming young woman, two males mutely regarding the coffee machine as though consulting the Oracle at Delphi. Customers walking out due to slow and non-existent service, “We ordered coffee some time ago, are they ready?”. My coffee arrives after an age and is tepid.

We visited the Watch House in Bermondsey on the morning of the Rugby World Cup final, and it was rammed, so I was a little apprehensive that I wouldn’t get served in time to get to see the game from the start... However, they run like a well oiled machine and I was out in no time! Not only that, it’s the best cup of coffee I’ve had in a London Cafe, and we went back for lunch straight after the game so I cold get another one; well two actually! There isn’t a lot of seating but everyone was happy to shift about and share tables, so it feels very welcoming indeed. It was still busy when we went back but just as efficient, and the food choice and cakes for a small location is amazing; particularly the cakes from my point of view! The staff need a special mention too! They all had smiles on their faces and obviously enjoyed their jobs, they got stuck in and could not be more welcoming and helpful! Josh, who we learned was the manager is an absolute star, and the other staff obviously love him; the smiles come from the top down and it’s infectious!! The added bonus of USB charging behind most of the seats and a lovely wood burning stove makes it an ideal spot, and I’ll be going back often! Congratulations Watch House, the best coffee shop in London in my very humble opinion!!! ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️✨⭐️✨⭐️✨🌟✨⭐️✨⭐️

Super niche, super cool and super staff. The coffee is fantastic; the food is fresh but it is the atmosphere created by the team that makes the experience. Visit - you won’t be disappointed

A tiny little place that's tucked-away. You could easily walk straight past it. It is an absolute delight with the most charming Korean staff who would brighten anyone's day with their cheery manner. The coffee is good, the cakes fresh & the croissants moist. What more do you want from neighbourhood cafe? Very dog-friendly.

Service is always very friendly here. Coffee is good but it does get very cramped in the mornings. Nice loyalty scheme with a free drink every 6 purchases. Food is rather expensive!

Terrible experience! I work nearby and used to go with coworkers. Their Sunday Roast is excellent so I made a reservation to go with friends on Sunday 22nd September. They offered me two slots at 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. I chose 15.30 and it was confirmed by Sonata. When the day arrived I called early in the morning to let them know if we could postpone it to 4:30 pm because my friend was late, they told me it was no problem. Our surprise was that when we arrived at the place they told us that they did not have our reservation, despite having a written confirmation, and that the kitchen was closed (even though you could see the plates of food coming out of the kitchen to the tables) and that this Sunday was its last day open. If they close the kitchen at 4.30pm, how can they offer us to eat at 5pm? A whole bunch of lies...they left us stranded and didn't bother to offer an apology. The bar staff was the most unhelpful. We had to leave the places without eating and the whole experience was a great disappointment. I will never set foot in this place again... And I absolutely do not recommend it to anyone. They don't value clients!

One of the best places to try and learn about exclusive English wines, couple this with Julia's passion and knowledge of the products you can't get any better. Add the passion of the recent explosion of gin into the UK revival what's not to think you should not arrange a visit?
