Borough Market was great. Went with 3 teen-agers who loved the hot food section when we found it. The food was amazing and such a great variety! Good for all ages and ideal for a couple of hours 'mooch around'. The best 'pop up' for us was the hot crumble dessert place which was just the BEST!!!

Lots of great food and shops. Super crowded though.

Charming market. Lots of tourists (like me lol) so lots of bumping into people but the market has great charm, great food, excellent (though pricey) cheese - never seen anything like it. Rich food.

Borough Market is a wholesale and retail market hall in Southwark, London, England. It is one of the largest and oldest food markets in London, with a market on the site dating back to at least the 12th century. The present buildings were built in the 1850s, and today the market mainly sells speciality foods to the general public. The retail market operates six days per week; it is closed on Mondays. The present-day market mainly sells speciality foods to the general public. However, in the 20th century, it was essentially a wholesale market, selling produce in quantity to greengrocers. It was the main supplier, along with Covent Garden, of fruits and vegetables to retail greengrocers' shops. Amongst the notable businesses trading in the market were Vitacress, Lee Brothers (potato merchants whose signage can still be seen in the market), Manny Sugarman, AW Bourne and Eddy Robbins. JO Sims, the main importer for South African citrus fruit (Outspan), were also located in the market. Stallholders come to trade at the market from different parts of the UK, and traditional European products are also imported and sold. Amongst the produce on sale are fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese, meat, game, baked bread and pastries. The market is a charitable trust administered by a board of volunteer trustees, who have to live in the area. The market has a wide range of products, however the prices are on the high side.

It’s a must-try for anyone who loves food. There’s something for everyone. You don’t have to be a chef or a culinary connoisseur. The stallholders are amazing, they know all about their product and if you’re interested, they’ll tell you all about it. I like it here. I had a bit of time before my return train, so I took a stroll around the Tower Bridge area and then walked along the market. This was my first visit to the market, and I’m glad I did. It’s so bright and fragrant, and the smells are incredible. I entered the market at the end of London Bridge (which is smaller and under a bridge), but as I walked around to the main street, the market opened up and it was full of fresh produce. The vendors are friendly, and they offer free samples before you buy, so I’m sure you’ll find something that appeals to you. I’ll definitely be back. Situated in the heart of London and a great place to eat or buy your favorite gourmet food or drink for that special dinner party or just to enjoy at home. From exquisite fish and cheese, to fine wines, fruit and vegetables, everything is at your fingertips. Just a short stroll from the nearest tube station or the stunning Shad. Enjoy.

Simply a really great spot to feast and linger!

It is very crowded because of the many tourists, but the products of the vendors are incredibly good

Liked the atmosphere and the stalls, but did not fancy eating anything due to the amount of litter and lack of clean areas to eat. Loved the experience but the area needs to be better maintained.

Great looking inside borough place

Beautiful market where all food from all over the world is sold. Wonderful smells and the street food is very good, some things are spicy, also herbs etc for sale, in the heart of central London near The Shard.

Great variety of food from different countries. Not cheap, but you should see it.

Borough Market is a gastronomic paradise bursting with flavors and delights. The standouts? Without a doubt, the creme brulee doughnut from Bread Ahead Bakery and the original sausage roll from The Ginger Pig, absolute game-changers. I found myself returning three times in the week just to savor their exquisite taste.

A lively small market filled with tourists and delicious food

The market has convenient transportation, is neat and clean, and has a dining area so that people don’t need to walk around to eat. There are also toilets that can be used.

Not for veg people...crowdy market

The culinary offering is great and there is a real diversity. The place exudes a special charm.

Good food , Weekends are crowded.

Everything is here :) I recommend eating breakfast or lunch here. You eat on the street, but the atmosphere is irreplaceable.

Very small very dirty very expensive

Fun place to go and eat lunch. Hardest part was deciding what to get! I recommend sharing with your group so you can try more food. Everything we had was delicious!

It was Sunday and most of the stalls were closed.

We went on Sunday and although the sign says they are open on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., everything was closed.

Nice buzz wide variety of stalls however... Too many people, over crowded and overpriced. Some of the food outlets are average at best. Nice for a tourist visit but if you're looking for good food in London try somewhere else.

Lovely market in the south center London. Near the London Bridge it offers a variety of food to takeaway and it eat nearby. It has also a place with benches prepared to be able to eat more confy. It is always full of people be prepared to get stucked sometime.

Be prepared for a crowd! It was super busy, but there were a ton of options. I would say it's a definite London must see. Ose walk to the tower bridge as well.

The Market was beautiful and had many stands. The only problem was that there was too much people!

The chocolate covered strawberries are pricey but definitely worth the splurge! Not a lot of seating in the area if any at all so be ready to grab your food on the go.

I was a bit disappointed with Borough Market this time to be honest. This is the first time going back since 2020 and there just doesn't seem to be the same atmosphere, choice of food etc. that there was before. Most of it now is just overpriced tourist food.

There’s not much to say that hadn’t been said before. Great place with a number of restaurants and stalls where one can have a snack or meal, besides shopping.

It's a fantastic place to visit with many interesting and tasty places to eat.

Very good food but lines and crowds were extreme. Made it hard to appreciate most of the food stalls. Lots of cheese places. Not much of any place to sit down. Fish and chips was OK but I've had better. Won't go back.

Good place to find electronics as I just picked up an old pair of on air headphones made by ministry of sound (can’t be bought anywhere btw) vlotyes and good were also very nice

Good for one time visit. Nothing much to see except fruits or fish market.

A lot of variety here. The food smelled great and they had everything from burgers to seafood to exotic fruits and desserts. If you are coming for the strawberries with chocolate, I would say it's not worth it. Its way too expensive (8,50 pounds) and we got nauseous after three bites. It was extremely busy (we went on a friday, around 10:30 in the morning). Be careful with your stuff as there might be pickpockets here.

Very popular place, probably ideal for locals to do their shopping for quality products but £7.50 for a punnet of strawberries. On the other hand, I had a bagel for £1.60. There are excellent takeaway vendors! A supercharged atmosphere.

Beautiful historic market in London. It is a visit that you must make and if it is to have something much better since they offer you a variety of food from different countries that is quite good and well priced. There are clean public toilets and you don't have to pay to enter. I recommend that you get lost in the market since each street, place... Has its essence.

Always busy but always fun to find near produce

Love coming here on every visit to London! Highly recommend going with a big appetite :) definitely try the mushroom risotto and paella if you go! can get overly crowded at times hence the 4 stars.

What a feast for the senses Top calibre artisnal foods, everything from cheeses, amazing veg, seafood, pies to chocolate laden strawberries and magnificent fudge. This market has it all and is a must visit!

Be there early to avoid the crowds. The grilled cheese sandwich @kappacasein dairy is so so good!

The market where you can get the strawberries with liquid chocolate (£8.50), very good fish and chips (cod £15). But all other foodies will also get their money’s worth😀

Too much crowded which is obvious here , as we go through there are wide variety of pastries, the famous chocolate strawberry and the best ever to try is natural sugarcane juice at the entrance of the market !

One of the biggest market i have ever seen. You should definitely visit and try some of the best street food the offer.

Brilliant street food selections. The best sandwich I've ever had. Perfect beef brisket in a fresh bagel with mustard, coleslaw and potatoes. We topped it off with a caramel creme brulet with fondant and a good cappuccino. Ammeen! If you're at the market, don't miss the following: bread ahead - parades fans, monmouth coffee company - specialty kavek, and finally Nana Fanny's Salt beef - heavenly bagels.

Been coming here for 30 years and each time I decide to leave it even longer until my next visit. Too many tourists not buying anything and getting in the way, and food which is seriously overpriced. The Borough 20% tax added on.

Meals inspired from different parts of the world. Great experience. Don’t go during work lunch hours though because it gets 3x busier. Pro: Different meal, spice, cheese, drink from all over the world. Con: Gets easy rowdy, no sitting areas. Pic: Meal from Meimei, loved it.

Lots of delicious food from all over the world being devoured by lots of people from all over the world. Probably best to get there early, ahead of the crowds. And keep in mind it closes at 5pm.

You must visit her. Nice stalls, friendly sellers and very good products. Avoid crowded times.

Come hungry. There’s so much variety of food to choose from, you’ll never run out of options but definitely stomach space. So much to see and eat. Sharing what I ate and everything was delicious, especially so in the cold. Oysters 🦪 Wild mushroom risotto Paella 🥘 Mulled wine 🍷 Empanada Donuts 🍩 I was stuffed but I’ll return and eat everything again.

You should definitely visit, spend time with coffee, and try at least a little something from the local taste shops. It should definitely be on your list in London.

Almost all international cuisines are available here and the place is always crowded, Strawberry with chocolate is a must try here!

It's amazing what's on offer here, everyone will find something to suit their taste, whether it's traditional fish and chips, paella or risotto with wild mushrooms and truffles. It is crowded and very popular with tourists, but it is worth visiting. Simply plan more time to experience everything on site.

Going there on a bank holiday is ideally not the best, but it is worth it!! Queuing at stalls and smelling the food is the best way to anticipate and enjoy your food. And again--- i never got a photo. I enjoyed too much. There wasn't any seat as it was very crowded but there spaces to stand and eat in peace, whilst others enjoy nibbling while walking around. So much to offer! So little time and space in my stomach. Had-- black pig The Best One added cracklings toppings. 👌👍👍👍👍👌 The strawberry and chocolate? Of course. Never missed it. (Even if i was slightly not a fan of strawberry) Tacos were awesome. I went with friends, and because the serving sizes were awesome-- it was all affordable.

I had some time before my train home so I went for a walk around the tower bridge area and then along to the market. It was my first time visiting and I am so glad I did, it was so vibrant and the smells were amazing. I entered at the London Bridge end, which is smaller and underneath a bridge, but once I walked round to the main streets, it opened up and was full to the brim with fresh produce. The vendors are friendly and offer free samples, so you can try before you buy and I can guarantee you will see something that takes your fancy. I will definitely be back.

Many different food options, but a little expensive for the dishes and portions, personally too crowded for my taste, many people walking and no place to sit and eat. Few bathrooms and long lines to use them, to make matters worse they are hidden.

We enjoyed the offer and the atmosphere. A lot of people, but has a flow. Worth a visit and indulge in the true market vibe.
