A great pub with a good vibe. The staff are very friendly. The food is excellent value, always tasty and hot. Always inform you if there is a long wait. We are a group of four and we go every week for the quiz. It's a homely pub, the manager Emma and her husband Jason are fabulous hosts. We always have a great night

Can’t thank the Warton Arms enough for their support of our recent charity event. The private room was perfect, the patrons wonderful and generosity incredibly appreciated. The food was fantastic too!

It has been a while since we have visited here, but it reminded us why we should come back more often. Good food and friendly staff ensured we enjoyed this visit too! Even though this is part of a pub chain (Marston's) we have visited several and every time, the food quality is excellent. We enjoyed hunter's chicken and chicken pie. We followed this with banoffee chocolate tart and Rocky Road Sundae. Well worth visiting and ordering again!

Amazing food! Had fish and chips and was unreal. All the staff were very polite and helpful- Issie and Chloe. Would 100% return for another meal here.

Two half pint glasses of cordial, £1.60 each. Absolute daylight robbery! Food not bad, not sure if grilled tomato was actually shown the grill, it wasn’t even lukewarm.

Me and my husband have just recently celebrated our wedding here and we could not have had a better day! We was greeted by Emma the landlady who organised everything for us, we had regular meets and she helped when we was lost, gave us ideas and just honestly went above and beyond! We now class Emma as a very good friend! A lovely lady called Tammy who is very talented, made some balloon arches for us and both Emma & Tammy even helped decorate the night before the wedding….which was a late one, this isn’t something they needed to do but they did out the goodness of their hearts and we were so grateful! We decided on a buffet option which was cold and hot food and we had nothing but compliments from our family and friends about how tasty the food was, not only that but it was also lovely presented! I cannot thank all the staff at Warton Arms enough for everything they did. We had the best day and would highly recommend Warton Arms for any event! Lovely looking pub, thatched with nice mature garden with plenty of outdoor seating, we only had drinks and not food but it looked good. Dog friendly

Good value food. We enjoyed the steak and drink offer. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We enjoyed sitting outside in one of the pods.

Slow to get seated and sorted out, but once food was with us it was a very satisfactory meal. It was made better value by the Meerkat deal which made the total bill much more reasonable. This had to be done manually by staff due to system coding, but was sorted out for us by staff on the night.

Very disappointed with my lunch. I ordered the Chicken Tikka and as soon as it was placed in front of me I thought straight away that it didn't look right. The colour and texture was wrong, it was more like spicy gravy with about five pieces of chicken in it. I suspect it was adapted from another dish from the menu, a vegetable curry or similar. I did mention my concern to the waiter but he insisted it was Chicken Tikka....but I know what a Tikka looks and tastes like,I have it often enough, and I am certain it wasnt a Chicken Tikka. However our starter was passable and dessert ok. One thing for sure I won't be going again.

Decided to have a meal out today, was greeted with a friendly smile off Emma, was made to feel very welcome. Food was delicious and hot, service was excellent. We throughly enjoyed our time at the pub. Ryan also made us feel welcome and valued x

Easy to make a booking on the website. Greeted at the door and taken straight to a table. Asked straight away if we would like to order drinks, which came within a few minutes. It was very busy so we expected a wait for the meals, but they arrived within 10 minutes. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very professional. The food was lovely, we all had the Sunday roast. On the way out to pay at the bar one of the staff stopped what she was doing to ask if everything was OK and if we enjoyed our meal. Service was good and all the staff looked happy and were constantly busy, taking orders and clearing tables. Toilets were clean too! Will definately be back.

Quite average food, Sunday dinner seemed like a lot of it was frozen, my plate had a lot of water on it. Turkey was flavourless. I really wanted to enjoy it as they’ve done a great job of renovating the place and I’m sure the other menu is decent. Just probably won’t be going for a Sunday dinner again!

After an enjoyable lunch on Boxing Day 2022, I decided to come here again with my Nan. She opted for Hunter’s Chicken on the Lunch menu, and I decided on the Hunter’s Chicken Melt under Sandwiches and Jacket Potatoes. However, I was told at the bar that neither of these sections of the menu were being served. This left us with a very limited selection (and I don’t recall any such limitations being mentioned when making the booking). On the basis that it was “as good as” the Lunch option, the server recommended the Bigger Appetites Hunter’s Chicken from the Kids menu for my Nan. I ended up going for the Chicken Wings Sharer. We were both bemused by the small portion my Nan received, and mine wasn’t much better. There was no check-back during or after our meals, and so we left feeling pretty let down compared to last time. It certainly wasn’t worth almost £25. I wrote an email and received something of a bitter response, albeit with the offer to come back for a free lunch (“Although we haven’t done anything wrong…more than happy to invite you back”) So, we decided to give it another go. I asked if I was able to order something under Sandwiches, but it was the Lunch Deal only. There’s only about 5 choices on there, so I just got scampi. It was average, hence the 3-star. I reckon that’s us done with Warton Arms, at least for now!

A friend and I meet at The Warton Arms for a meal and a catch-up a couple of times a month and we absolutely love it. The staff are really friendly, the food is great, the restaurant is clean and comfortable and the service is quick and efficient. A particular shout out to Georgia who is usually on duty when we're there. She's warm and engaging and no request is ever a problem for her so we plan to keep coming back month after month :-)

Had lunch here last week with a couple of friends. We had a lovely time, food was good and the staff were friendly and attentive. We've already booked a table for lunch next week!

We booked the private room to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday, 27 of us in total. The food was hot and well cooked. Everyone was served each course together, which was quite a feat considering the numbers. The service was very good, thank you to Georgia and her colleagues. My mother had the best evening and we couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate this milestone birthday. Thank you

We pre booked our table earlier on in the day to be sat on a table next to the toilet s were both tables ever side of us was full of plates and glasses from the previous people and was still there a hour later when we left not one’s did they ask us our meals was the food was nice but there hospitality was shocking on leaving no one said goodbye or thanks for coming we as a family used to love coming to warton arms but sadly it will be our last

After a slightly disappointing visit , just before Christmas, we were invited back by Emma to give them another try. We did return last week and I have to say we were very happy that we did. Our food was lovely, the service was excellent. We actually had no issues with the service on our first visit, the staff are all lovely. I’m certain that the problems we had on our earlier visit are not typical, you only have to read the reviews to see that. Needless to say, we are now four more very happy customers , and you will be too, pay them a visit soon. Many thanks to Emma and the team for a lovely evening out.

Chose the Warton Arms for a family get together as it was local and somewhere we had never visited before. We weren't disappointed! The service was great without being overpowering and the food was delicious, everyone enjoyed what they'd ordered. We would definitely recommend a visit and will be visiting again, for sure.

Great pub. Dog friendly which is a great addition. Not many pubs have this on my travels. Staff always make sure and give options to customers if they want to eat in the dog friendly part of the pub which is always good to hear. Keep up the good work guys👍

What can I say ... we had been to the Warton Arms in the past and was appalled at the standard of food and staff... well we decided to give it a chance given we haven't been for well over a year and to ate surprise the food was OK but what made it was the staff Georgia went above and beyond for our group nothing was too much of a hassle .. (we have a few picky people in are clan) we will deffonatly be back just because of her amazing well done team great turn around from the disappointment we had in the past ..xx

Three of us turned up to get a bite to eat at lunch time today and all I can say is the staff went above and beyond for us! A special thank you to Georgia and Chloe who made sure everything was perfect for us three. Would highly recommend this family pub with a great atmosphere and friendly staff.

One of the worst restaurant meals I've ever had. Roast Beef. The meat was way over cooked and dry. The roast potatoes were under cooked, and the Yorkshire Puddings were almost inedible; like trying to cut through leather with a butter knife. The Gravy, like the rest was just tasteless, as if it were made with just Gravy Browning and water, without any meat juices. It's a shame because I've had decent meals there in the past. Not sure if I'll ever go back there though? It may be because it was a late Sunday afternoon/early evening, and we were given the dried out leftovers from earlier on? Still, no excuse! In a word: 'Disappointed!'

Our Daughter and Grandaughter are here from Australia for Christmas and booked the room at noon for all our very special family to get together and meet up, We were really really so well looked after, the food was not only delicious, but served up hot and in amazing time, considering they were short staffed that day! ! The room was perfect for our needs just all together in one space I personally would recommend The Warton Arms, and staff, and course food to anyone, and say a personal thank you,for a wonderful day,to you all Hope you have a very happy Christmas 🌟⭐🌟⭐🎅🎅

Visited yesterday for a meal the food was good and very tasty very coving safe with floor markings and sanitizers the staff were all excellent especially chloe very friendly and polite a credit to your pub

Great place to be and a lovely waitress, Chloe, the most friendliest person I’ve ever met. She is great at her job and incredibly bubbly. Her ways with customers is amazing, she is definitely a stand out. Also is very good with the COVID rules. Food and drinks are spot on and you’re rarely ever waiting too long. 100% Recommend

Myself and my partner visited this evening due to myself winning a 3 course meal completion! We received amazing service and amazing food! I did not catch all the names of the waiters and waitresses besides Kieran who was extremely accommodating when I explained that I was experiencing a abit of anxiety where we were sat and he immediately said we could move and sorted this for us, he was very understanding. The other workers were also so lovely and I have no bad words to say! Food ✅ Service ✅ thank you all!!

Myself and my wife went into warton arms on tue 22/09/20 for dinner we had a table booked for 17.00hrs from going in to leaving was a pleasure covid rules in place good food good service and good prices what more could you want well done team warton keep up the good work

We booked a table for Sunday dinner. Wish we hadn’t bothered . Even with the offer of Eat out ,wasn’t worth the money. Worst meal I’ve had from here. Not much social distancing going on either. Won’t be rushing back.

Arrived at the Warton Arms on Tuesday 11/8/20 at 19.00hrs was very very busy but from walking in to walking out was a pleasure. the food was hot and tasty the service was fantastic even though as busy as they was all the staff was polite and very pleasant well worth the visit.

We visited the Wharton Arms on Friday late afternoon for a meal, a place we have visited on a number of occasions. I ordered Chicken with garlic mushrooms and my partner ordered Port and Stilton Sirloin cooked medium. I was happy with my meal although I thought there was not much on the plate, however my partner’s steak was mostly inedible fat with a small piece of meat in the middle which she struggled to cut through. Also it was very rare, not medium. I remember on a previous visit I ordered steak and had a similar problem so avoided the steak. My partner mentioned the fatty steak to the waitress but she got the impression she was not that bothered. I note reading some of the other reviews are mainly positive which I’m pleased about for them, however I would recommend avoiding the steaks when ordering a meal, unless the Wharton Arms reviews it’s sourcing of this commodity; I cannot understand how a chef could cook this and not notice it was mainly a piece of fat.. I would be interested in your response, hopefully specific and not just the usual “sorry you were disappointed” standard reply.

After shopping all morning, we chanced our luck by dropping in here without booking. No need to worry as spare tables available. Plenty of space between tables, on line ordering and payment if needed or someone ordering at tables and bar. Good choice of food, albeit a limited menu, and served fairly quickly. Staff pleasant and attentive, good value meals and reasonably priced as BOGOF.

Very disappointing visit. It’s a nice place and a lot of effort had clearly been put in for covid19 arrangements. Beer was awful. The food was average. Our medium-rare steaks were both well done and fatty. Chips were nice. Ordering was a farce. The lady who served us was nice but she didn’t listen... to anyone. She just repeated questions to everyone as she wasn’t paying any attention the first time. ‘Do you want ice?’.....‘Yes please...’‘Sorry? did you want ice or not?’This was for everything... table number... what drinks we had asked for... food order... had we paid.. did we have a tab... just end up repeating over and over questions you’ve already answered. Queueing while she did this to other customers was painful enough and then it was was your turn! The girl who worked the till couldn’t serve us as she was underage. That was a shame as she had her wits about her and would have don’t a better job. Huge potential this place but we won’t be back.

Emma was fab in organising a Year 6 leavers celebration for the children of Woodmansey School. Each table was labelled and we were given clear instructions. The staff looked after us amazingly well. The children had a great time and I couldn’t thank Emma and her staff enough, they made the children’s day that little more special especially in this surreal time. Thank you!!!

Visited in on 6/7/20Came in as a family of 7 . The lady that waited on us went out her way to help us . Menu was limited which is understandable. Both staff that was on did a fantastic job , made our visit warm and welcoming. Gutted we couldn’t leave a tip . Why ?? See you again soon .

brilliant service by rachel, nice and clean when we arrived and didnt see rachel stop cleaning all the time we were there. food was served hot and quick. limited menu but had all the favourite pub meals on there (steak/curry/pie/fish and chips). thank you for having us

Been a long time but they did not disappoint. Great food enjoyed by all 6 of us. Glad you did not remove the chocolate sundae when you reduced the menu.

Well what can I say, the warton arms team have been fantastic during lockdown with their quizzes each week. Connor is just a fantastic quiz master. We'd always loved visiting the warton arms because it is such a friendly welcoming place with great food, great prices and a friendly atmosphere. Now we can't wait to get back and visit once more when their doors open. Bring on the burger and a pint :)

During the long three months of lockdown The Warton Arms and more specifically Connor hosted a weekly virtual quiz. We absolutely loved this and it quickly became a weekly ritual for us. Well done to Connor and thank you

We popped in for a quick snack and weren't disappointed. The food was really good, good portion sizes and the staff were really friendly. Would recommend.

Not a good place no food served we arrived at 20.10 to be told that the kitchen was closing down we then asked a waiters who told us that the kitchen closed down /last food orders was 20.45 to top it all the bar Staff was cleaning down only one till in use not nice we normally use this pub once or twice a week not good you need to stipulated what time food is been served till

Just currently sat at Wharton arms, after having a lovely Sunday lunch and just waiting for desserts, lovely food and Megan the waitress serving us is a true credit to the Marston family name, she is sweet, polite, professional and nothing wis too much trouble, will definitely be returning

Environment friendly and cosy and staff very helpful. Food was lovely. Only real criticism was the Turkey was cold and no red cabbage. Lovely that they are dog friendly too.

Decided to call in here after leaving cinema as for many years we have driven past and said how nice it looked. We were not dissapointed welcomed with open arms even lending me their reading glasses as I had forgotten mine. The steaks were wodeful definaitly going back. Try here it is worth it

We have not visited this pub in a long while so thought we would give it a go. As you walked in you felt a relaxed atmosphere , you could choose to sit where you wanted . We both ordered meals , one meal was the burger which was a little over done the other meal we had was a vegan plant based burger which was very nice my only criticism was the TINY pot of coleslaw. It would of been better coming with salad. We both had desert the vegan option a little pricey but very nice . All in all a good experience .

Visited for Sunday lunch.was greeted by Caroline whom couldn’t do enough for us. So attentive and professional in her job role. Found us a table, took our drinks order then explained what was on for Sunday lunch. We ordered and food arrived quickly and piping hot. The beef melted in your mouth and was so nice to have homemade Yorkshire puddings.Been to Warton Arms on different days and have enjoyed all our meals. Well done to all of the staff.

Visited this lovely place today for my birthday treat,spotlessly clean, two lovely open fires burning , very welcoming atmosphere. Rachel our waitress couldn’t have made us more welcome , very pleasant and helpful, when told about my allergy she checked everything for me. The meal was well presented and served hot, thanks to the kitchen staff. We will certainly will be visiting again soon. Thank you everyone.

The Warton Arms is a beautiful pub with friendly staff a lovely outdoor space in the summer, a kids area as well, the food is absolutely lovely. The menu has a lot to offer plus there is a specials board also, would highly recomend, we are regularly visiting the pub as we love it so much, bonus is you get a main meal free with every main meal you pay for and the puddings are gorgeous too

After reading these reviews all I can say it what a load of RUBBISH! We visited after using trip advisor to find what was in the unfamiliar area. Such a shame people use these platforms as a way to name drop themselves for their “amazing” service. After bringing my kids in the other day, all I can say is a number of the repeated names on here did not give the service that has been portrayed. Such a shame. Please use these platforms correctly, before dealing with the consequences!

Hollidaying in Beverley for a week, Went for a 6 mile walk and the warton arms just happened to be on our route, 1st time visit so didn't know what to expect.

Lovely meal, food quality perfect. We had a starter each (garlic bread) and then the mains - everything we had was lovey - very good quality and much better than previous trips here. Will definitely be returning

We have eaten here several times and have previously been impressed. However this time my husband chose to eat fish and chips. The quality was extremely poor - the fish was very small (child portion size priced at £12 odd) and had a hard brown section in the middle (unedible). In retrospect he should have sent it back but we were in a large group and my husband didn't want to make a fuss. Everyone elses food was ok but not of a high quality. I don't think we will return again, hence the disappointing rating.

Called in with family . Didn’t fancy a big meal so got loads of starters and sharing plates. Lots to chose from and reasonable prices. Bit of a wait but was very busy. Nice bottle of ice cold wine. Very nice.

We all went out as a family to take the children to see Santa at Hornsea garden centre. We wanted to eat out on a Sunday afternoon as a family as we don’t get to do that often, we walked in and was turned away with out even trying to accommodate us! Service is disgusting! Manager didn’t even try to fit in 16 people! Won’t be returning

What can I say. So helpful and nothing was too much trouble. You need to replicate Kieron. Top man. He is so helpful even with other work colleagues. I would recommend him for any top job

We were at the Warton Arms at the weekend to join in their fire-walking event (as you do) for the amazing Abbie's Fund. The place was heaving, it was a fantastic night and after the event we had booked to have our tea. Despite the how busy it was we were served our food quickly and all enjoyed our meals (family of 4). All the staff had a smile, were polite, friendly and helpful. We had a lovely time, thank you.

As you would expect ‘two for one’ , hot ,tasty , friendly staff, plenty of choice. Went as dog friendly.

I have not yet had to leave a bad review since using this app. However I have left very disappointed. When arriving it was very busy, once finding a table our drinks orders were taken before waiting a while to order food. Our server was very pushy and rude, leaning on chairs as our order was taken as well as loudly butting into conversations throughout our visit. Our food was fine, everything was on time. Thank you to the polite young girl for bringing our food very promptly. For the rest of our stay our server abandoned us and walked around with her ipad like a headless chicken until she wanted to take desert orders. After a first visit, I would hope to give the place a second chance, although the server has ruined our night. A shame I had to leave a review like this.

After picking a cosy corner of the pub we ordered at the bar where the service was friendly and prompt, the food was great and we all love how much you get here for your money.

I recently visited here last Sunday for a meal with my family and it was a lovely experience. All of the staff were extremely helpful and me and my family were able to get two Sunday dinners for £12 which was great and because there was only five of us, we were able to get 20% off too which made the visit even better! The food looked and tasted lovely and I will definitely be making a return!

Visited a week ago we had Sunday roast top marks for an excellent meal especially the Yorkshire puddings highly recommended this meal for value special thank you for our waitress Chloe who was very helpful and always smiling and Emma and the rest of her team for a warm welcome will be back soon

Came in with some friends and got served by Tom C and what a nice gentleman he was the service he gave us was amazing... can’t fault the service we got. Tom and the rest of the team couldn’t be any nicer as this was our first time coming to The Warton Arms and I will definitely be returning to this establishment. Visited last week with family for a few drinks. Served by Caroline who was very friendly and helpful, had a very pleasant evening, next time we’ll have a meal too.

Went for tea Wednesday evening as usual the food and service was spot on our waitress Chloe was so helpful and cheerful well done to all the team we will be back !!

Visited here as it's round the corner from where my sister lives who we had been visiting .. we aren't from the area so wanted somewhere we were familiar with and having been here before we went back .. on looking round we couldn't find a table as they all had reserved on them .. we managed to find one and before sitting down asked if it was ok and was told that it was reserved but the waitress checked her pad and managed to find us a vacant table .. our drinks order was taken quickly as was our food order .. when it arrived the food looked nice but my order was wrong .. I explained that there was no rice with my curry but instead chips on the plate .. I had ordered the curry and rice with a side order of chips .. it was soon sorted without any fuss and the food was all very nice and service was very good and fast ..I would have given 5 stars if it hadn't been for the mix up .

Absolutely love eating here, all the food is delicious, staff always friendly and plenty of choice. Especially want to thank Connor for looking after us all night, will be visiting again very soon!!
