We went into Warren's for something sweet, and saw these meringues in different flavours. So we had 2 for a fiver. Don't know why but I just presumed there would be some sort of filling like cream or sauce in the centre, but there wasn't. It was basically a heap of egg white and sugar which gave me one hell of a sugar rush! It's taken me days to eat as it was far too sweet for one sitting lol! When being served by the lady, she asked what I wanted and i pointed to the meringue, now I didn't realise she had boxes and other stuff in the way on her side of the counter, so she couldn't see what I was pointing at. She got a bit ratty coz she didn't get what I was after, I kept pointing at the meringue and eventually she said "it's called a meringue" in quite a rude manner. Maybe if they didn't have junk on their side of the counter she'd have seen what I was aiming for. Her people's skills maybe need a bit of updating. Never been in a Warren's bakery b4 but after that probably won't again 😏

Manager was very rude and discourteous. Insulted one of us because he is a disabled person. The manger said " don't pull the disabled thing on me" There was a problem about cleaning the seats outside. He made a fuss about not cleaning the seats, it had been raining. We will never return or recommend you business to anyone.

Stopped here to grab something to go with our lunch. We opted for sausage rolls and were not disappointed (I have been to other locations around the country and enjoyed them too). The lady who was in the shop (a Wednesday) was happy and enthusiastic about the town and what Torquay offered

Why charge people to sit in when you only offer takeaway cups and bags? No milk alternatives, only uht plastic milk portions? I think it is time to get with the times 😬 Not the staff’s fault but unfortunately I won’t be returning

Went in on Saturday the 18th March ordered the creamy chicken pasty it was huge lovely tasty pasty had it with a Latte it was done a bit lazy the lady at the till just put a takeaway cup under the machine and pressed a button out came the milk and coffee bit of a poor Latte considering Wetherspoons do Lavazza coffee at £1.45 a cup and you can refill it as many times as you want and they are good mugs Warrens are cardboard cups pasty served in paper bags but a very good pasty but the coffee needs improving Wetherspoons puts Warrens coffee to shame and it's only £1.45 a cup refillable.

I came in tuesday afternoon, I was being served by a lovely lady who was very smiley and very pleasant. there was an issue with one of the syrup pumps and she called what sounded like Nicole to help her. Nicole’s attitude was awful. she screwed her face up then huffed then said “i’m not in the mood today” and “seriously” “for gods sake” and rolling her eyes. she also mentioned that she didn’t feel well. if you don’t feel well why are you at work? the other lady was so pleasant! even though she was getting spoken to with no respect and rudeness bless her :( and “Nicole” need to go on a customer service course to learn how to speak to people properly, not even that it’s just basic politeness! oh my hot chocolate was yummy though ! haha!

First time I’ve been today since the cafe changed hands, will also be my last! 3 staff all stood behind the counter. 4 tables being used, every over one filthy, wasn’t cleaned in whole time we were, it was truly disgusting. Watched one girl behind the counter eat a pastie, wipe her mouth with her hands and then served a customer, she then went and ate a cake and did the same. If it wasn’t for the fact we’d paid we would have just walked out.

We tried to call in for a coffee late afternoon. We were told that he machine had been cleaned and was not available because they were closing. They close at 5pm and it was exactly 4.20pm!! We then asked for a cup of tea instead but again were told that we couldn’t have this or sit outside as the chairs and tables were being taken in for closing! 40 minutes of business lost! A real shame.

I popped in for the first time in months to find two new young male staff members. They were so rude and when giving me my change instead of handing it to me, one literally threw it at me and it went all over the floor. He stood and watched me pick it up without a word of apology. It's also so overpriced now for barely average quality food. Never going back again.

Cold wintery day. Popped in and got 2 Steak and Horseradish pasties. They were the most disgusting things ever. I only had one bite and all this gravy and soggy peas leaked out. I dissected it to feed to the gulls and found one bit of gristle. On seeing that my husband also fed the birds.

Arrived here after an 8 hour trip and discovered this part of Devon has an obsession with Cornish Pasties. We had the Traditional Cornish and they were nice if a little pricey but the quality is there. Unusually the pastry is actually salted which really adds to the flavour. We've eaten real Cornish Pasties in a number of places and whilst these are not the very best they do compare quite well. Worth a try just for the experience.

A sudden pang of hunger whilst dashing to the shops, meant that we stopped by Warren's Bakery for a bite to eat. The large steak pasty was OK. The children seemed to enjoy the extra long sausage rolls but at £2.60 each they weren't cheap. The egg custard tart was disappointing.

My son is vegetarian and was delighted with the labelling on all of the options in the cake display. Whilst on holiday we visited this bakery (and the one in Newquay) every day, making a different choice on each occasion.

I wanted an authentic Cornish pasty and looked for them in the "Pasty" many selling shops along the main shopping streets in Torquay leading from the Harbour area. Most pasties on offer seemed too expensive, too small and not called "Cornish", possibly as a result of the protected name status.

If you want to be treated disrespectfully go to McDonald's Torquay and the employee Ruby will throw every last bit of food you have on the counter and treat you badly. Ruby you should be working somewhere else not in customer service! Ruby has done this to every customer in front of me, including me. You shouldn't be paid for what you do Ruby!

Made the mistake of going twice now. Both times, my husband has been unwell after eating here! We thought it was a coincidence the first time, but after twice, definitely a connection. The fist visit, 3 of us had cod and chips. The chips were ok on this occasion, I've had worse. The fish seemed overcooked, and the batter was somehow burnt underneath. Put it down to us getting there late, as they were closing 10 minutes before we arrived. The next day, my husband was ill, he can get sick easily if something is off or to greasy etc. But we just thought it was the grease, as the other 2 of us were ok. The second time, my husband chose to go, as we'd finished work late and had not eaten all day!!! What a mistake! I could barely eat any of it, it tasted so bad. Never had chips so bad I could not eat even one. Husband ate his, but didn't enjoy it. He has been up all night feeling sick and with a fever! Definitely will NOT be going back!
