We stopped at Honiton for a break to have a snack on our way to Exeter. We decided to have a pasty each The pastry was mediocre and they were so spicy we both suffered later in the day. The bakery was untidy and the tables unwiped. Service was indifferent and the young bloke serving seemed bored, as if he didn't want to be there. This was the first time we had experienced a Warrens Bakery pasty and we know to avoid them in future.

I had good memories of Warrens pasties from my last visit to this area 8 years ago, so I deliberately sought one out. As we were passing through Honiton this store was selected. I wish I hadn’t bothered it was such a disappointment. Firstly the lad behind the counter seemed unhelpful and disinterested. I choose a large traditional, large cheese and onion and 2 sausage rolls. The traditional one was bland and quite frankly the pastry was inedible. The sausage rolls were bland, mushy and I have had much better elsewhere. The cheese and onion should be reported to the trading standards as this was basically a potato pasty with cheese and onion flavouring encased in an inedible pastry. So sad to see and I will not be going anywhere near a Warrens Bakery again.

We decided to stop off in Honiton for a quick coffee and loo stop on our way home from Devon. Hadn’t checked out this shop (big mistake!) reviews. Ordered two coffees and asked where the loo was-we don’t have one, he said, you have to go down to the other coffee shop on the corner. Apparently the public loos in the car park have been closed due to vandalism. So, we had our two, very mediocre, coffees and went down the street to a much more welcoming coffee house (Coffee#1) where we bought paninis and used their facilities. Cafés with seating for more than 10 should provide public loos. Warren’s has seating for 10 plus several stacked chairs and tables that are presumably used as well, so why no public loo?

Lively little bakery in Lace Walk area. Popped in for a range of pasties to have for our dinner. Spoilt for choice , ham hock, cornish and chicken. The smell was glorious and the fillings very satisfying. Staff cheerful and happy, even though nearing the end of what must have been a tiring day!

Rude !!! Just Rude !!! I’ve been past here many times and it looks lovely , on this instance I decided I wanted some thing , so went in just made a little joke as he was playing in his phone paying no attention to the customers !!! I just joked come on get off your phone and serve your customers. To which he was extremely rude and blunt in his reply , I’m running two shops and in this day and age everything is done by phone !!!! This is why shops close poor customer service I will not be returning ever !! I want a smiling person with a happy face to serve me not a jump up little rude man !!! I’m assuming he might of been manager if he’s running two shops. Well pay attention be nicer !!!! When I asked if what I was buying was two for 3.50 he snapped and said that’s what it says !!!!! PLAIN RUDE. I will not recommend any one to your shop ever !!!

Have walked by a few times and this time gave in “ Bacon Bap” . Paid the money, and within minutes I was back in the shop. The roll was far from fresh and the bacon standing around far too long, was as tough as nails. The assistant told me that this is how they are told to keep the items until sold, and further more it’s standard practice in all of their bakeries.

Called mid afternoon for a coffee. The Bakery was empty. Was served by a extremely miserable member of staff who grudgingly provided me with a cup of coffee. Worst service I have received in UK for many years. Will not be returning.

Visited Honiton today and decided to purchase a traditional pasty for my journey back home .The branding and hype on their packaging and shop led me to believe I would get a superior pasty.Unfortunately I must have hit a bad batch as mine consisted of undercooked pastry, rock hard and again under cooked potato filling with stringy scraps of meat.Very unexpected and disappointing

I visited at 12:40pm to find three of their pasty varieties missing from the display cabinet. There was only one member of staff serving customers so I had to queue to enquire about their availability. When I reached the front of the queue, I enquired about one of the pasties which appeared to be sold out. The lady on the counter then turned to her colleague and informed her that she’d just sold the last one. (I’d like to reiterate that this pasty had been sold out prior to my arrival, before I queued to ask about availability, so she clearly hadn’t “just” sold the last one). She then turned back to me and waited, finally asking asked if I had wanted one of those pasties (which I thought would have been obvious by my enquiry) and was then informed by her colleague that they would be 45 minutes because they’d just sold the last one and need to put some more in the oven. The staff had clearly made no attempt at forward planning to ensure their pasties were available for lunch time and have not got an effective system in place to replenish stock before it is sold out.

Being new to the town had no idea where to get a stop for coffee so we chose Warrens close to the main central car park ....clearly a pasty heaven to conosieurs and they were flying out the door which is great for the takeaway pasty...as a coffee stop probably not their real strength but then they don't propose it is...want a pasty yes definitely ....want a coffee shop I think they'll admit that's not there core

Warrens Bakery in Honiton provides Pasties, Pies, Cakes ready made sandwiches, bread and cakes, and it is excellent. Very clean, great staff and very popular. I had an excellent pasty and whilst many claim to make the best pasty, the one I had was very good. There is a small eating area if you want to sit down, as well as a very good takeaway service. All in all a lucky find !

Popped in as in area for Sunday lunch. Full roast x2 for £18. Now you may think I bet that was awful. Well it was very good. Hot and tasty. Had a lunch in South East at good restaurant last weekend which was nowhere near as good as this. Thanks. Got to give credit when due. Big portions for price as well. Sat on terrace with great view 👍👍

The worst curry I've ever tasted. For £9. Watery, with stodgy rice, I couldn't get more than a couple bites in. The staff are utterly dead and I don't blame them. I just wanted something other than burgers.

We went on Saturday. They’d run out of pizzas. But saw fit to leave the bloody great sign outside the door advertising them. We had two sausage baps and a portion of cheesy chips! The wait was long. Which it was busy that was fine. When it come out the sausages were burnt and their cheesy chips were chips with cheese dumped on the top. This place used to be really nice stop for lunch. Will probrably give it a miss in the future
