Poped in here for a quick bite before i went to see friends. The burger was just cheap, nasty meat, could even finish it. Not sure why I even botherd as the staff werent in a hurry to speak with you, or take your order. Rude.

Lovely pizza just let down on the delivery time

Food is really good, I usually order mixed kebabs. The last 4-5 orders though either the salad has been missing or the pitta or the sauce . I'm afraid that in Exmouth there are many kebab places and I don't think I will order from here again. Every time orders arrive late aswell the longest they have been late by is an hour. Don't usually leave bad reviews but don't want people to spend £16 on kebab that is usually missing parts and arrives late, times are tough and its not good enough

10/10 for the fish cake and chips. The chips were cooked in clean oil which made a massive difference. Staff were friendly and it's a very clean place. Would recommend and will be revisiting when I return to Exmouth. 👌

You know things are going to be bad when you have to send back cheesy chips 3 times! Our friends also got chips & doner meat, the meat was so bad that we offered the meal to the seagulls yet the seagulls wouldn’t touch it! The seagulls left the food alone they must know something I didn’t!

This was the best fish and chips I have ever had in my life the man at the counter was very warm and welcoming and we felt at home at the fish and chip. shop I would definitely go again and this is the best place in all of the south-west. Thank you fish and chip man for the great food Yum Yum in my Tumtum.

It was a good place to get a kebab but after what I just got don't bother £7.00 for smallest kebab every all salad no meet kids burger waste of time I need to cook for my boys as it's Tesco small burger and chicken kebab was very bad. shame as was good place to go I'll never order again

AVOID COMPLETELY!!!!!!!!! Absolutely terrible food and service. Place is dirty and the person behind the counter is rude to the point of nasty. The food was so bad I didn't eat it for fear of food poisoning. I'd rather eat sewage!

So you order food, they confirm and take payment and then leave you hanging for 40 minutes before sending a message saying they are cancelling your order. Thank you for making me starve tonight. Now have to wait 3-5 days for my refund Useless, will never use again, if you have confirmed my order then make it, waiting 40 min to cancel just shows how unreliable this establishment this is

My daughter felt sick after eating the rubbery cheese on the undercooked, raw, solid,  and potentially still underground chips that my family ordered. There were also several pizza slices without topping and a questionable kebab. How is this business still operating? It was hard to swallow and I wish I'd looked at the reviews previously. shut this place down ASAP!

Long wait for delivery only to receive an order with missing/incorrect items and undercooked food. Staff became incredibly rude and aggressive when trying to complain about the problems.

Took nearly an hour to arrive, once arrived one item was missing, another item was wrong, the chips were undercooked (We were so hungry it took a few bites to notice but it didn't take long to start feeling ill!) When we initially called the restaurant to explain, they denied anything was wrong until I insisted it was, said they'd call the delivery driver but then never called us back to discuss. 30 minutes later partner was heading out the door to go and discuss the problems in person, only to be met with the delivery driver at the door with the missing item. Explained we no longer wanted it as the food was awful and by this point cold (though wasn't exactly hot on arrival). Delivery driver then proceeded to have an argument with my partner on the door step regarding refunds, took all of the food and drove off leaving us without the money or the goods we'd paid for. Partner headed to the restaurant to talk to them, where they continued to be less than helpful and delivery driver became excessively rude and started shouting. Will definitely not be ordering from here again.

Went to get takeaway and got it home the chips was still raw and the kabab meat was over cooked and dry this place should just close it's terrible

Bought a chicken kebab and a margarita pizza, my kebab was lovely but the pizza was truly awful. Really thin with a fake plastic cheese on a it tasted horribled and it cost 10 quid !!!

Ordered on their website part of order was missing jacket potato was not cooked when I rang them they said they didn't do add ons well they had it on website and charged the extra for it said will send out another jacket potato and still not arrived hr and half later when told me be 35 minutes not first time had issues won't be using again

Called in tonight for a kebab and chip for me and the wife the person serving was very friendly and helpful the food was excellent as normal

Ordered food through just eat got the complete wrong order tried to ring the delivery guy no answer tried the actual shop 15 times no answer just been scam out of my money basically won't be going here again load of rubbish no *s from me avoid at all cost!!!

I ordered as I usually do a burger for my son, i assumed it came with chips at least but no, a small 1/2 pounder which was two small burgers on top of each other, the base of the bun was soaking wet. I paid £6.50 for this, when I complained he just said the prices have gone up so we can't include the drink and chips any longer. I can categorically tell you I will never order from them again. Daylight robbery and terrible food.

I went into the strand last night not being from the local area asked the guy if they made Nan Kebabs he said no but would be happy to make one for me for an additional price I didn't regret my choice at all I will continue to use this place for food amazing customer service even more amazing food great team. Decent portion sizes, but kebabs just have meat and salad stacked on top of, rather than inside, the bread, and without any cutlery.

Slow service and extremely over priced! Greasy mess that was tasteless. Only had the one dish, but enough to put me off. Won’t be visiting again.

Had bad experiences everytime I order with this place. Don't know why I keep thinking it would be better the next time. But as they have brought me the completely wrong order. This is the final straw. Shame cause there food is actually not too bad. Its the wait time, delivery service and customer service that let's them down!

If you like cheap salad and bread with not much meat… then this is the kebab for you. Paid 8.70 for a kebab when it was really a small salad sandwich! Will not be using this takeaway again.

Used to be good value but seems to be new management and they have really whacked up the prices. The doner meat two of us had was not great - lots of little gristly bits and rather poor compared to what the old management produced.

Dried up meat, zero sauce, asked for a coke to wash it all down, threw a can at me that was hot! Needless to say a young seagull walking up and down the Strand was happy...at least he ate well that night...'cause I sure didn't!

Omg!! Ordered a mixed kebab and asked for extra crispy meat ( just to make sure was cooked). I can honestly say that it was the worse kebab myself and my friend have ever had…. It was grey, barely cooked and, after trying to pick our way through to find something edible!, threw it in the bin!!! Do not go here for kebabs!! It will end up in the bin and will be the worst thing you ate for a long tome !!!!

I have been back to this kebab shop for fish and chips on a number of occasions now and will keep returning. The e service is great, the food is cooked fresh to order, they even threw in a sausage for my dog the last time I went, which he also very much enjoyed! I will definitely visit again

These guy's are truly so kind and humble. I was far from home and they made me feel at home and they helped me open my fast and treated me like their own family. Rarely do you see such warm hospitality and great food too . I recommend the kofta kebab with salad and naan bread . Thanks so much 🙏

So tonight I bought 2 dinners & I did not like one bit the salad was gone of & the meat was rock hard not to mention the staff where nothing but rude didn't even get the 2 can of Pepsi

Ordered a chicken kebab with garlic mayo, get all the way home to find out they have put chilly sauce all over it! When we phoned to complain we were told that's what we asked for when we specifically said garlic mayo! They won't deliver one because they are too busy and I'm not wasting more fuel to go down there and change it when ive just spent 17 quid! Shambles!

If you want rotten fish, food poisoning.

We have been twice in recent months Dec'20 and Feb'21 and on each occasion received possibly the best value in Exmouth. Certainly better than some others I could name in Exmouth - a decent sized piece of fish and loads of chips with a bit of salad thrown in. We will be going again and cannot understand the negative reviews elsewhere. Some of the others in town are a bit mean with the chips but not these guys. My son had a decent size lamb doner which was absolutely full of meat.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Having been a regular of the old owners I was dubious about ordering after reading some of the recent reviews. Ordered large cod and chip and mushy peas, the large cod tiny, not many chips and the peas were just a few peas in water, with absolutely no taste at all.

We ordered the buy one get one free pizzas. I had vegetarian and my husband had pepperoni. We also had chips. The order arrived very quickly and well under the guidance given when ordering. I received a call to say the driver would be with me shortly. The food was piping hot and very tasty. Would highly recommend.

I have purchased from this take away on numerous occasions but have to say today's Chicken Kebab and chips was pretty awful . My previous visit everything was ok , the chicken nicely cooked and fresh . On this visit the chicken was unpalatable and the chips soggy , full of grease and barely edible . A restaurants reputation only stands on its customers . I hope they see sense in rectifying and make sure that every meal sent out reaches the same high standards .

Gone right downhill. Always had good food and service, but the last few months, the food has been disappointing and have had items missing from deliveries. What happened to the regular guys, who we got to know from there?

Not great. The kabab I ordered was missing the pitta bread. You can't see what salad is available making it difficult to choose when they ask you what you would like on top. Chips are OK, all in all it is a reasonable price but far from special.

Waste of money!! kebab meat was rock hard like cardboard, Chili sauce was not chili, It was sweet, The pizza had the bare minimum of cheese on it. Never again shall i eat from that place!!

Ordered online at 4pm, turned up at 5.30pm after blaming the delivery guy (apparently first day) 🙄 The chips were cold and well undercooked and basically not even edible. The pissas were OK but luke warm. Relayed concerns to store who had every excuse I could think of. Offered compensation but didn't bother turning up with it. Can honestly say, the worst I've had in years and the customer service was nion exsistant

We have use strand fish Shop for long time, but last few times there has always been something small missing like a pot of peas or something. But today took the biscuit. Both Kebabs meat was stone cold. Also two portions of chips missing. What makes it worse I can't get through to them.to let them know. I've been trying for nearly an hour.... Bye bye will try elsewhere.

Me & my family have been getting buy 1, get 1 free pizzas for the past 5 years from the Strand, always been great until now. (Under new management). Hardly any cheese, burnt, not very hot had to microwave them. Over an hour wait for...

We went in for a takeaway meal and ordered a lamb and a chicken shish kebab with a portion of chips. The kebabs were freshly cooked and tasted amazing. We will certainly go back next time we are in Exmouth

Absolutely disappointed that early doors we ordered pizzas to be delivered. When they turned up not only were they burnt, delivery man could not identify where the pepperoni was!!!! We rang straightaway to say disappointed, they said needed proof of burnt pizzas. They rocked up 2 hours after complaints & pizzas cold (still burnt). End of story - we have 4 burnt pizza, no refund. Never go there again

After having terrible pizza I thought I would give them one more chance. I shouldn't have. Since the company have changed hands they are rubbish. They have taken what I considered to be the best kebab House in Exmouth and made it the worst. I will not be returning.

Wrong order delivered (for the 2nd time might I add!) Called to say what had happened, said they would call back. Nothing. So rang again 45 minutes later to be told the boss has been trying to call...well no missed calls. Awful customer service. Food...

First off, they mixed up my order with someone elses then send me the cold pizza they collected from the other person and collected the one they originally gave me ( does covid restrictions mean nothing to these people?)

Only ordered from here a few times before but only pizzas which have been ok. Tonight I ordered a large chicken doner and salad and a 1/2 pounder cheese burger meal. Unfortunately the pita bread in the box was drenched in orange coloured grease so it wasn't edible. The inner lid had a shocking covering of this meat fat/grease on it. A real put off when i first opened the box. For a large kebab I got 1 slice of cucumber,1 thin slice of tomatoe and what looked like half a small lettuce leaf. I asked for full salad and i would of thought more salad would be coming considering it was a large kebab. No mayo or coleslaw like i asked for either. The burger meal deal wasn't much better, chips cold and hard and the burger patties dry and tasteless. Not a great experience at all, very disappointing for £14.80

Rubbish! 1hr 20 wait and still rubbish its buy 1 get free for a reason cheap and nasty! Pay the extra and go elsewhere we definitely will from now on weve had alot better and will not return avoid at all costs !!

We have used this takeaway for a long time but the last 4 orders have either been wrong, transported on their side or burnt. To add insult to injury the person on the phone had the cheek to have a go at me when they got the order wrong then took over 2 hours to bring correct ones! Please don't give these scumbags your money

What is normally great service from this shop last night was a different story. Ordered on line @ 7.30 recieved the food @ 9.20 after many phone calls telling us the food was with the Driver to call them back if not delivered within 15 mins. Phoned back to be told it wasn't even cooked yet. Terrible service.

very appalling service. i have been a regular customer for a long while now and as of today i wont be ordering from there anymore.yesterday, I completed my order online and after an hour it still hadnt turned up. i called up and asked how long it would be and they said it was on its way. Another 35 mins or so passed and it still hadnt turned up. i called up once more and this time the man was very rude and hung up on me! The takeaway never turned up. It was clear they had no intention of delivering it. And unbelievably the same thing happened again tonight!! i am fuming!! Absolutely appalling service- to anyone reading this dont order from there because they mess you around. Absolute waste of time.

Just had our delivery. Food was cold. We ordered desert, they had 2 options so mentioned if they didn't have the first we would have the second option and they ring at the time they were meant to deliver telling us they didn't have any and then were 40 minutes late after that. Very disappointed as they are normally quite good.

Ordered thtough the Just Eat App, previous experience with them has been good, on this occasion i ordered a combo 4 (wrap,chips and drink) sausage chops and curry sauce, that bit was perfect, the Combo 4 i had just the wrap, so rang them, they promised to send out straight away 20 mins later i get my chips and drink , chips were cold and wrong choice of drink, shame coz they were so good, wont be using them again

Best in town always good and great pizzas

Paid for a pie that was literally sat there cooked. A simple handing over would have been easy. Instead they kept me waiting for over 1 hour without dealing with a very simple issue. Terrible service and would urge everyone to avoid this disgusting place.

Great spot for tasty late night grub. Went here the other night after a show at the nearby pavillion as a bit peckish. Ordered the double burger with chips and drink and food was very nice and filling. Staff were friendly and waiting area was clean and hygienic. Would use again when next in area

Not happy with the end result, I asked for a dry cut, but as is the custom in Strands, they wash your hair first. After the cut, which was pretty awful, all the hairdresser did was blow the drier over my hair, leaving it dry but messy. I almost said " is that it?" but needed to get out of the place. It took another more experienced hairdresser (in another salon) to put the damage right. I won't be back.

Lauren gave me one of the best hair cuts I've ever had. For someone so young, she is very talented. She listened to what I wanted done and did it exactly as I wanted. I hope she stays at Strands and doesn't get 'head hunted' by another hairdressing salon.
