Great place for a quiet break. It has a quirky outlay but it has lifts to all floors. Everything thing that you would expect from a Warners hotel good food excellent shows attentive staff. This time of year is more for the age bracket 60 plus but don't be put off.

Been visiting Nidd Hall for over 30 years and I am sorry to say this Warner Hotel is in serious need of a refurbishment. Windows and patio doors are bereft of paint on the outside, some are rotting and gaps between them create draughts that make rooms cold enough in winter to have the heating on at full: surely a false economy for Warners. Carpets in public areas are warn and dated as is wallpaper in corridors. However, comfy beds, great entertainment and good food even if cocktails in The Pavillion have little taste of any alcohol whatsoever. I gave the overall score of 4 because of entertainment, location and Brasserie 32.

We arrived at Nidd on the 13th January for a four day break courtesy of G N Holidays. The Hotel was lovely, full of history with spectacular grounds which, unfortunately, were mostly covered in snow. Breakfast and dinner was supplied by Warners as were the waiting staff. We ate in both The Brassiere and the main restaurant. The Brassiere was by far superior, almost fine dining at no extra cost. I must mention “Alice” whom appeared to be in control of the seating arrangements etc. She was great, ensuring we were happy. Nothing too much trouble. Warners lucky to have her. However, all the staff were very accommodating. We opted for a Signature Room which cost us an extra £60 each. Probably not worth the upgrade which gave you a bathrobe described as “fluffy” but certainly not, two large biscuits, two small bottles of water, two fruit juices and fresh milk. These were only on arrival, not replenished every day😧. However, room was decorated nicely and beds and bedding sumptuous. Nidd has a 20m warm swimming pool, and a sauna and steam room. There is a games room - snooker, table tennis etc. The Pavilion was large, plenty of room for dancing and to watch all the entertainment. Nidd is very spread out, takes a couple of days to remember where you are heading. So, overall, would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Next month off to Warners Corton at Lowestoft. Again courtesy of G N Holidays for another three nights of Motown and Soul.

Just had Christmas at nid hall. Not impressed. I spent Christmas 2023 also at Nid Hall and was very disappointed. First day I reserved my table in the dining room but the first evening the manager approached me ( mid meal) requesting that I might let another lady join me. In order not to make a fuss I agreed. This ruined my meal because as I stated this was in the middle of my dinner. The lady wanted to chat but we had nothing in common. I just wanted to escape. Of course the manager had gone home for Christmas ( looked like he just wanted to of load the problem so he could leave) I then discovered that he had told this lady to come to my table every meal. I was expected to forgo my private dining. On Christmas morning I observed to the waiter that the table had been set again for 2 when I was approached by the young lady who seemed to be in charge who immediately accused me of arguing and stormed away. I returned to my room immediately and spent Christmas Day and Boxing Day in my room and without food because it seemed that the staff either had no training or didn’t want to solve problems. In March 24 I rebooked to give it a second chance. It was suggested that I pay £45 in order to be able to reserve a table for the entertainment. Upon arrival I went to the theatre bar and was told which tables were available to reserve and promptly made my choice. The reservation card etc with my name etc were promptly put on the table. However, when I went to the theatre that evening I found someone else details had been put on the table and the staff had decided that I should have to move to another table. They said because someone else had previously reserved the table but nobody had put the required details on it. I suggest that if you are a single lady traveller don’t go to Nid Hall because you are likely to be treated badly. I repeat that I had paid £45 for the privilege of being able to reserve a table only to be told that I had to be relegated to a table chosen by staff. And expected to accommodate a perfect stranger at my dinner table for the entirety of my stay. They won’t get another chance

Lovely building. Room 118 was spacious and clean. The bathroom had a large shower and low-level lighting, useful if you didn't want the bright light on in the night. The food was OK but the servery for the hot food is small compared to other Warners and congested at times. We arrived at 5.30 and struggled to find a parking space. The location in North Yorkshire is convenient to visit Ripon, Knaresborough, Harrogate and York. In short we had a good pre-Christmas 2-night break.

My Fiancé and I have just spent three days here- Friday to Monday. The room was lovely and the staff were always very helpful and pleasant. The food was very acceptable in the Rawson restaurant and, indeed,Danielle our waitress went above and beyond and I would give her 5 stars. However there was supposed to be a fine dinning restaurant and there was no sign of this .We had brought nice clothes for this, but they were not required, as people sat in jeans in both restaurants. The worst point about the stay, however, was the basic geography of the place. It was extremely difficult to negotiate our way to the restaurant and outside carparks ,from our room ,as there were so many lifts snd stairs cases. The hotel was not built around a focal point, with everything leading off reception, like any other hotel I have been in .Also there was not a quiet cocktail bar where one could sit and sip a quiet drink . However, all that said, the room was extremely comfortable, clean and quiet and there were plenty activities listed, should you wish to partake, and the vast grounds were idyllic for nice walks. On balance, however,it is very unlikely that I would return. Ian,West Lothian

We’ve just returned from a weekend at Nidd Hall. On arrival The staff were very friendly and polite. The room was good and warm on arrival. I had booked a pedicure for my husband. The info about the treatment sounded just what he needed. A warm foot soak followed by the pedicure Then a relaxing foot and leg massage. All In a quiet environment. The therapist talked throughout the treatment about herself and family. His feet never touched water and the foot and leg massage didn’t happen. The Brasserie menu was the same every day and didn’t always come with the stated ingredients. The lounges were very cold in the evening consequently they were empty of guests Not everyone wants to be in the pavilion room A little more attention to detail and staff training wouldn’t come a miss. So for food A 3 star Hotel & grounds A 4 star Spa A 3 star.

The staff were lovely as was the location. Rooms clean but basic compared to other Warner's. Food was okay, a bit repetitive if staying longer than a weekend. Self service food could have been a lot hotter. Evening entertainment was good , the team put a lot of hard work into the two shows we saw. Other entertainment was mediocre compared to other Warner's we've stayed in. Disappointed they didn't give all guests toweling robes for the pool and spa area. Felt like second class guests at times.

I must be an odd one out.The decor at this hotel is luxurious, the rooms warm and cosy but the essential things are lacking. The parking on change over days is chaotic every man for himself as U r just directed to park on the edge of verges wherever U can find a space I thought there would be a large hard standing car park. Every breakfast we had for three days was cold. When I complained I was told that he would let the chef know When I spoke to other guests it seems to be the norm. A cup of tea with a meal is an extra £3.25 weird !,! A Lot of the guests are Warner repeats and go round different locations visiting Warner hotels like people who go on cruises but on land. All meals have to be at a time you booked earlier as the hotel is so big which is understandable but makes the holiday feel regimented .If you like Warners then good luck to you , enjoy but it is certainly not my cup of tea.

A mini break that my partner booked and paid for. The really good points. The food was really good especially in the buffet section. The evening entertainment especially by the Warner staff was superb. The bar staff were very approachable and friendly. The Hall itself was good, but the history recital was excellent. Good points Room was cleaned well presented, although in places, things were broken/damaged and needed a bit of TLC. The door lock for example didn't always work properly, but not a big thing. The Brasserie was ok, but the service was a bit slow at times. I think staffing was down due to illness. I just preferred the buffet, for me the food and service was that bit better. The not so good things, the beer was expensive, definitely North Yorkshire prices The seating, especially in the buffet were child friendly, definitely not suitable for someone over 6'. I carried a cushion with me to seat at a more comfortable height. Sadly the outside was a bit, to me given the price you pay, run down. Not horrendous but it needed a clean and tidy in places, or new plastics. The outdoor pods for example, and yes I appreciate the time of year, were discoloured green and cloudy. The bowling green trenches were in need of a good clean. The paths could do with refreshing, new surface materials. Should really be five stars all round, but just fell short in some areas.

We had a weekend break at Nidd Hotel staying in room 11, a historic room on level 1 of the main house. This area is accessed by a lift and two staircases and is suitable for guests with limited mobility. The room was well appointed with two single beds which we pushed together, and we had a lovely view over the rear gardens. The adjacent bathroom was huge and very warm, with a roll top bath and shower over. We ate in the buffet restaurant and the al la carte restaurant and the food was great in both - plenty of choice, served hot with hot plates. The entertainment was typical of Warners, day time quizzes and dance classes, and a comedian, and a tribute band at night. The only downside was there is no bar in the main house although there is supposedly table service from 11am. We wanted to have pre dinner drinks in the lounge, so I had to ask reception to send for a waiter. There is a bar in the entertainment venue but it is noisy and not conducive to a quiet chat with friends. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor attractions; there is a lovely stroll around the grounds, wildlife area and lake. There is outdoor fitness apparatus available, together with tennis, putting, archery and axe throwing!! We enjoyed our break and will book another soon!

I've stayed at six Warner's resorts now, this one is par for the course compared with the others. I've dropped a star because the bathroom extractor fan did not work, the shower waste was broken and they were not fixed during my weekend stay. A power cut did not help either. Good food and friendly staff.

A sprawling hotel in a beautiful location, quite isolated but only a short drive into Harrogate. Service let down by a cold breakfast and rubber scrambled eggs. Rooms warm and comfortable but the hotel is a rabbit warren. If the weather is bad and your room is outside the main building, you may need a map to find your way back! Lots of activities to engage with during the day and entertainment in the evening. Evening meals were good.

I can’t thank the whole team at Ivory for making hosting my Niece’s 21st any better. From the initial conversation about what we were trying to achieve, to being so accommodating to let us into the venue early to decorate, to the lending of scissors ✂️ and Helium of which I arrived with neither. 🙄 the offer of 2 drinks to my friend and I as we set it up (sorry I still owe you for them) they were simply amazing. Hosting something can be really stressful but here you just seem to be able to turn up and they just know what you need. Such a good night had by all, I received a phone call to let me know 3 mobiles had been left which I collected and returned to all the guests who clearly had too much fun! 🙄 Thank you all for making a very special night perfect. Highly recommend to anybody wanting to host an occasion, you are in good hands x
