Think it's time for a bit of refurbishment some parts are looking very tired, service a bit slow some nights in the theatre no waiting staff.

Warner hotels are a superb holiday experience. Staff are always friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, comfortable and cleaned daily. Nidd Hall, like every Warner hotel has excellent entertainment throughout the day and every evening. Been many times and will definitely be back

Enjoyed my stay at the hotel, food was really good, plenty to keep me entertained with outdoor games , indoor games, nightly entertainment. The room was a good size but decor and fixtures and fittings could definitely do with updating.

Lovely hotel and typical Warner food and entertainment. The walk around the grounds is lovely. Ripley Castle is a 30 min walk away and if you want a day out in the car there are too many places to mention. Staff at the hotel are very friendly

An enormous building with many long corridors but fortunately a few small lifts. All doors were wide enough to accomodate my mobility scooter. Staff very friendly.

My Fiancé and I have just spent three days here- Friday to Monday. The room was lovely and the staff were always very helpful and pleasant. The food was very acceptable in the Rawson restaurant and, indeed,Danielle our waitress went above and beyond and I would give her 5 stars. However there was supposed to be a fine dinning restaurant and there was no sign of this .We had brought nice clothes for this, but they were not required, as people sat in jeans in both restaurants. The worst point about the stay, however, was the basic geography of the place. It was extremely difficult to negotiate our way to the restaurant and outside carparks ,from our room ,as there were so many lifts snd stairs cases. The hotel was not built around a focal point, with everything leading off reception, like any other hotel I have been in .Also there was not a quiet cocktail bar where one could sit and sip a quiet drink . However, all that said, the room was extremely comfortable, clean and quiet and there were plenty activities listed, should you wish to partake, and the vast grounds were idyllic for nice walks. On balance, however,it is very unlikely that I would return. Ian,West Lothian

We’ve just returned from a weekend at Nidd Hall. On arrival The staff were very friendly and polite. The room was good and warm on arrival. I had booked a pedicure for my husband. The info about the treatment sounded just what he needed. A warm foot soak followed by the pedicure Then a relaxing foot and leg massage. All In a quiet environment. The therapist talked throughout the treatment about herself and family. His feet never touched water and the foot and leg massage didn’t happen. The Brasserie menu was the same every day and didn’t always come with the stated ingredients. The lounges were very cold in the evening consequently they were empty of guests Not everyone wants to be in the pavilion room A little more attention to detail and staff training wouldn’t come a miss. So for food A 3 star Hotel & grounds A 4 star Spa A 3 star.

The staff were lovely as was the location. Rooms clean but basic compared to other Warner's. Food was okay, a bit repetitive if staying longer than a weekend. Self service food could have been a lot hotter. Evening entertainment was good , the team put a lot of hard work into the two shows we saw. Other entertainment was mediocre compared to other Warner's we've stayed in. Disappointed they didn't give all guests toweling robes for the pool and spa area. Felt like second class guests at times.

I must be an odd one out.The decor at this hotel is luxurious, the rooms warm and cosy but the essential things are lacking. The parking on change over days is chaotic every man for himself as U r just directed to park on the edge of verges wherever U can find a space I thought there would be a large hard standing car park. Every breakfast we had for three days was cold. When I complained I was told that he would let the chef know When I spoke to other guests it seems to be the norm. A cup of tea with a meal is an extra £3.25 weird !,! A Lot of the guests are Warner repeats and go round different locations visiting Warner hotels like people who go on cruises but on land. All meals have to be at a time you booked earlier as the hotel is so big which is understandable but makes the holiday feel regimented .If you like Warners then good luck to you , enjoy but it is certainly not my cup of tea.

A mini break that my partner booked and paid for. The really good points. The food was really good especially in the buffet section. The evening entertainment especially by the Warner staff was superb. The bar staff were very approachable and friendly. The Hall itself was good, but the history recital was excellent. Good points Room was cleaned well presented, although in places, things were broken/damaged and needed a bit of TLC. The door lock for example didn't always work properly, but not a big thing. The Brasserie was ok, but the service was a bit slow at times. I think staffing was down due to illness. I just preferred the buffet, for me the food and service was that bit better. The not so good things, the beer was expensive, definitely North Yorkshire prices The seating, especially in the buffet were child friendly, definitely not suitable for someone over 6'. I carried a cushion with me to seat at a more comfortable height. Sadly the outside was a bit, to me given the price you pay, run down. Not horrendous but it needed a clean and tidy in places, or new plastics. The outdoor pods for example, and yes I appreciate the time of year, were discoloured green and cloudy. The bowling green trenches were in need of a good clean. The paths could do with refreshing, new surface materials. Should really be five stars all round, but just fell short in some areas.

We had a weekend break at Nidd Hotel staying in room 11, a historic room on level 1 of the main house. This area is accessed by a lift and two staircases and is suitable for guests with limited mobility. The room was well appointed with two single beds which we pushed together, and we had a lovely view over the rear gardens. The adjacent bathroom was huge and very warm, with a roll top bath and shower over. We ate in the buffet restaurant and the al la carte restaurant and the food was great in both - plenty of choice, served hot with hot plates. The entertainment was typical of Warners, day time quizzes and dance classes, and a comedian, and a tribute band at night. The only downside was there is no bar in the main house although there is supposedly table service from 11am. We wanted to have pre dinner drinks in the lounge, so I had to ask reception to send for a waiter. There is a bar in the entertainment venue but it is noisy and not conducive to a quiet chat with friends. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor attractions; there is a lovely stroll around the grounds, wildlife area and lake. There is outdoor fitness apparatus available, together with tennis, putting, archery and axe throwing!! We enjoyed our break and will book another soon!

I've stayed at six Warner's resorts now, this one is par for the course compared with the others. I've dropped a star because the bathroom extractor fan did not work, the shower waste was broken and they were not fixed during my weekend stay. A power cut did not help either. Good food and friendly staff.

A sprawling hotel in a beautiful location, quite isolated but only a short drive into Harrogate. Service let down by a cold breakfast and rubber scrambled eggs. Rooms warm and comfortable but the hotel is a rabbit warren. If the weather is bad and your room is outside the main building, you may need a map to find your way back! Lots of activities to engage with during the day and entertainment in the evening. Evening meals were good.
