Wanloy in Shropshire

Shockingly bad. Have used Wan Loy for several years, but recently we have no clue what has happened, all the dishes were so bad, no pancakes with the duck (how do you forget to put them in), the special chow main was like Heinz spaghetti, orange tasteless and hardly any prawn or meat, even their seaweed has changed, the hot and sour soup was neither hot nor sour, crispy chilli beef was bad, spent £57 for me and the wife, most of it went in the bin... After years of going there.... NEVER AGAIN!

Nicest Chinese from here we have had in a while, was ready on time and the food was excellent, reasonably priced too

Not very good customer service, all menu's clearly state open on bank Holiday Mondays went round with a large order in hand to be told sorry not open today, may day talk about false advertising

Customer service is absolutely appalling, ordered chips and meat in a box and specifically asked for no spice yet it was delivered with spices on it. Rang to ask to re correct the order and the young man continued to argued down the phone saying the spice is just on the meat and that I should turn the chips over 🤣 absolutely shocking.

New owner. Very responsive and seems much cleaner and faster than before. Food has also improved !!

Foods nice but it's so so annoying when they keep forgetting an item or two out of the order. It's happened at least 3 times now and means that my partner has to go back and collect it (to be fair they always apologise, but it's still not ideal) and we have to sit and wait for him to return in order to have the family treat meal together.

After 12 calls to no answer, on a Sunday, clearly says open. Went to Swallow.

Best chinese in town! Food is always fresh, always greeted with a smile and it is reasonably priced too!

Literally called just as they opened, it’s my daughters birthday, waited for 2 and a half hours and no food, absolute waste of time scam company

Food order this evening was appalling, it was not fresh some food items were burnt. Will never use this takeaway again more disgusted that they serve food at this standard.

For being half chinese, I would say the quality is very poor, unauthentic and cheap. The staff was slow and unattentive, some main orders took a long time to arrive. When we asked for a jug of water they completely forgot. The atmosphere was very cold and food not particularly hot. Honestly, we eat better chinese food at home. For these reasons I rate it low.

Disappointed had many a Chinese from here and was always okay . Had one last night start off girl on the phone, lovely very friendly told 1 hour for delivery okay fine got to am hour and half later nothing so rang up kept saying on the phone ..I tried for 20 minutes finally rang to hav rge girl answer again and put me onto someone else who was very rude when all I did was ask how long it would be as I'd now been waiting hour 45 minutes and all I got was it'll be 10-15 minutes were busy and the phone put down on me another 20 minutes went by until our order arrived and someone who stank of weed and couldn't even speak properly he also climbed over our gate rather them opening it delivered our food ...was disappointed when I started dishing it up straight away of course as after over 2 hours I was starving it was cold ....really disappointed and probably wont be ordering from them again. A slight sorry for your wait or sorry about that would of been nice but nothing no sorry or nothing just plain rudeness! Ordered at 6:08pm delivered at 8:10pm ....

Kung po beef great sauce veg and cashew nuts but I've got jaw ache from the chewy beef

Take away sweet and sour. chicken was so chewy I had jaw ache. Chips appeared to be frozen. Wouldn't visit again.

Lovely food, not too expensive and good portion sizes. Ordered rice, chips and sweet and sour as part of our meal. Unfortunately it came with Chinese curry and not sweet and sour sauce. Had the order been correct I'd have given the full five stars!!

A really good Chinese, the food is always divine when I get my regular of lemon chicken and egg fried rice, definitley a fantastic place to get food, highly recommended!

I have never used any other chineese takeaway. This is the best in or around the Whitchurch area. Food is first class and the staff have allways been very very friendly. I would recommend the resturant, fantastic, well worth a try

Lovely vermecelli, ribs, fried rice.....and best chinese curry in town!! Very reasonable prices, free prawn crackers and lovely family who run it! Never used to like wanloy but the food has much improved in the last year or so. Really nice now so go there every time!🤗

Recently ate from here myself partner and a frined had sickness the following day. Wan loy used to be good until mr chan ruined it shame won't ever spend money here again!!!
