Requested for food delivery , driver was very rude, nonchalant and as not bothered to deliver my food. Sole with manager who was also very nonchalant and not helpful.

Been going here for many years & it’s always our go to! Very tasty food, pleasant service & good value for your money. Just make sure you bring cash with you as they don’t accept card payments.

Do not use this takeaway! Been using this place for years, then ordered a delivery at 6.30, nothing arrived by 7.45 so phoned up and after she’d finished laughing at us she told us the driver was out with the delivery, still nothing by 8.30 so phoned again and refused any more than a 10% discount despite the 2 hour wait at this stage, and then she put the phone down on us. Driver arrived at 8.40 and they still refused anything more than a 10% discount so the food was returned to the restaurant. Awful service, avoid at all costs.

Nice staff,we really like they food but they stopped taking card payments and that's really bad now no one us taking cash with them U pay by phobe everywhere,to pay there we had to go to nearest cash machine and pay extra £2 to take out money to pay not happy

I know Xmas eve told come in hour to collect. Get hear just over hour another hour of still wating total of 2 hours an hour in shop wating for dinner. Lady at front so stressed bless her yet manger hiding out back. Over 30 people wating wating in shop for food. Total joke

horrible customer service, good food but service doesnt make up for it. lady on the phone was shouting as she got our order wrong, she read our order back right but turnt up wrong. it was missing items and when i told her they were missing she shouted back saying it was here as if she was in my house dishing it up? i am not happy at all. will not be coming back here again. once again customer service was awful. if you can’t treat people with respect don’t work in a place that’s serves people. SIMPLE.

This is our go to. Great food. Great staff. The only thing that let's them down is delivery. All delivery guys are great. It's just the ridiculous waiting times. And we mostly ring as soon as they are open

Ordered from here on Sunday food tasted good no problem until 12 o’clock that night i started being violently sick throughout the whole night. Monday i was too sick to move and today (tuesday i have headaches and sweats) my doctor says i got food poisoning from here as it was the only thing i ate that day couldn’t have been anything else. normally when we eat from this place there’s never a issue but i’ll be more cautious ordering from here from now on.

Unorganised chaos, delivery takes forever. Told one hour, called up 1.5 hour later to be told our food is next to be cooked. Even when you collect you are told 20 minutes but stand in the shop for half hour after that.

ordered so much here that they memorised our postcode lol. Food is the best chinese ive ever eaten and the prices are nice, one bad thing is that sometimes it takes a while to get my food but still lovely

Been buying here for years. Ordered our food today and was sent the wrong order. I specifically asked like always not to have prawns in my noodles due to severe selfish allergy in my household. No replacement was given !! So very disappointed.

Food is very nice but waited 3 hours last night when ring up could not give a dam so if you want a delivery make sure you ring as soon as it opens customer service is decusting

We absolutely love coming here have been for around 9 years now , even though we moved we still only get our Chinese takeout here! Food is always delicious and we always collect and never had to wait longer than 30 mins

I asked for certain things not to be in my order got them anyway so totally ruined dinner thanks wan Hong house (they will also argue with you about the fact they got wrong or they'll give you credit!!!)

The best chinese takeaway in Basildon. Food is always 10/10 and we always get ours without msg, which makes a huge difference in the taste. New additions to the menu including dumplings and crispy chicken with honey have become a favourite. Wouldn't go anywhere else

ordered at 20.07pm and was told 30-45 min waiting time 1hr45 STILL no food. Told me at 21.02 out with driver,21.25 says i cook for u now and offers me 10%off a 14.10 order. Now 22.07 and ive told them to shove the order!!!

The best and tastier Chinese take away in Basildon.. Portions, as well, are huge compared to the other ones in the area!! One star minus, due to lack of signs for social distancing or for minimizing the number of customers in the store at one specific time, during COVID-19 outbreak.. And as expected it s "cash only", with no intention of giving me an official receipt...

Ok for a local Chinese takeaway

Ordered food over an hour ago, still not here we usually collect. The reason we usally collect is because last time we ordered delivery, after 2.5 hours waiting we had to cancel, after 3.15 hours at 9.55pm it arrived and we turned it away as could not eat a full meal that late. Delivery is definitely a problem for them.

One of the best Chinese takeaways in Basildon. We got the mixed appetisers but the ribs were dry and the portion of sweet n sour chicken Hong Kong seems to have got smaller. Lacked in sauce so would need to order extra

We had a big order tonight £60 worth, the order had half the items missing,the girl on the phones was so rude aswell as the manager, there was know intentions to rectify the order. I will never be ordering from here again. I’ve only given 1 star because you have to. people beware disgusting customer service

A nice takeaway with a quick service. Good choice and reasonable prices. Not great for parking though.

Food was nice. Good portion sizes although I think the chow mein dishes could’ve done with some more meet. Sweet and sour sauce was a bit oily for my liking. Neverhealess I throughly enjoyed my meal.

Order from here regularly and usually nice but ordered tonight and was an absolute shambles. Over priced the meal at first which I had to phone back and correct the price. Could not stress enough how we didn't want sweet and sour sauce and wanted curry. Ordered turned up with sweet and sour, managers ignorance refused to change the order and was very rude. Won't be coming here again incompetent fools.

The food here is awesome and the staff are so lovely but the delivery times really do leave a lot to be desired. I ordered from here an hour and a half ago and can no longer get through to the shop at all. Sorry Wan Ying House but I wont be ordering from you again.

Wouldn't even give them a star but had to to be able to leave a review.... reason's why posting next... Ordered at half 10 and turns up at 11 so can't knock that but.... (Ordered) 1: Pancake roll £1.30 2: Crispy shredded beef £4.20 3: Singapore noodles £4.00 4: Sweet & sour pork balls £4.20 Total of £15.10 Charged us £15.30 Missed out the pork balls and when we called up really really really bad language barrier and they wouldn't bring what was missed off or bring the money back and tried saying the Crispy shredded beef was an extra £2 and we didn't order the pork balls so even so Take away £4.20 of what they charged £15.30 comes to £11.10 plus the £2 = £13.10 So where was the other lost £2.20 When asked they just spoke there language and went silent and wouldn't answer or refund the lost money or deliver what they forgot. Only small money but when you pay for a service and don't get what you paid for that's shocking and not even a sorry. Food was not worth the money to and the Pancake roll was dripping in fat and wasn't Crispy. The Crispy shredded beef tasted watered down. The noodles was just well just wasn't worth it

After an hour and 15 minuets wait we were left less than impressed.... egg fried rice is just plain rice fried a little minus the egg. Chicken curry was bland to the point of tasteless with a curry sauce far too hot and raw onions. Unimpressed sums up my takeaway

My family and I have been ordering for collection from Wang Ying House for over 10 years as it's conveniently local. Recently, we ordered a small order for my younger sisters birthday on a Friday night and over the phone were told it would be a 35 minute wait until our order would be ready to collect, which is understandable as it was a busy period. We arrived at the takeaway 35 minutes after ordering and paid for our order. After asking when our order would be ready several times, the cashier told us every time it would be only 5 more minutes. We waited in the shop for 45 minutes (1hr 20mins after placing the order) and when our order was ready, I informed the cashier of the long wait time twice and she repeatedly ignored me and served customers waiting in the shop, we received no apology. What was more frustrating than the wait was that 7 customers came into the takeaway whilst I was waiting and ordered larger orders than my own and walked out within 10 minutes of ordering. Upon getting the food home, we found many pieces of egg in our mushroom fried rice and meat in the vegetable chow mein, which is inconvenient considering we cannot eat egg nor meat due to dietary requirements. Wouldn't recommend ordering food from here if you have any dietary requirements or are not prepared to wait over double the time they promise you.

Worst chinese i have ever been to, they got my order wrong and the food is tasteless could of made it better at home. Never again yuck.

Didn't bring some of my order, when I rang up and complained she said she would send rest of order which meant half our food went cold. She offered money back but we never got it back

I haven't ever used the delivery service, but it is my favourite Chinese in Basildon at the moment. Been visiting there quite a lot in the last 2 years.The food is delicious, and as always been very well cooked. Melts in your mouth. Though at times the shop is very busy, but the food is worth waiting for. Staff always very polite and friendly.

We order regularly from this takeaway restaurant usually for collectionI.It is often an extra 10 mins wait on the time quoted but no big deal food is very good ! Tonight for my husbands birthday we ordered at 6.10 pm but wanted to have our order delivered as we wanted to have an alcholhic drink before dinner ! We were quoted upto an hour and a half delivery , which is kinda expected on a Saturday hence our early order .When we still hadn't received our order at 8.10 pm we phoned to check and was told the driver had our order and was on his way the restaurant is less than a mile a way.Unfortunatley it took a further 20 mins to arrive when I asked for a discount at the shop I was offered 10 % not enough for an hour delay I already had to feed my 10 Year old who was too hungry and tired to wait.This was my husbands birthday and he ended up with cheese on toast! The restaurant ended up with our cold order and no money poor show !The moral of this story is do not promise what you can't deliver ! Real shame as the food is always of good standard ! If you are prepared to wait and collect your order then go ahead if not order elsewhere!

Price doesn't match quality. Better Chinese takeaways in the area

Did not use delivery option, called into this takeaway to pick up, the food was delicious, good size portions, I noticed when in there it had a 5* hygiene rating, I could see through to the kitchen and it was very clean. Highly recommend this takeaway! I have decided to come back and add more details about my previous review, the food is still good, however not worth the wait, the last 3 times we have asked for the food to be delivered, I was told on the phone it would be 30 to maximum 45 mins, 1 hour and a half later it still has not arrived, rang the takeaway to be told our food is still cooking!!!! They told me they were very busy, ok so if your that busy all the time, surely they can afford to take on more staff, we will not be ordering again, it is a shame because the food is nice!

Who ever takes the orders either can't hear you or somethings wrong!!! Third time now we got wrong stuff delivered dishes missing and when I called they said they will deliver missing stuff but will charge me for it again and for the delivery. !!!! When I asked to speak to the manager I was told they too busy at the moment! Shame the place is being let down by telephone girl!!!

Ordered food for collection, was told 30 minutes. Kept me waiting for over an hour standing in the shop whilst peopke that ordered their food at the counter got theirs first. Very poor service they dont have a clue what they doing. Wont be using them again

Ordered our food at 8 o clock quarter past 10 comes and I ring and they tell me the driver has just left. 20 minutes later I ring back as I live on same road and food has still not been so the man tells me he made a mistake and there in process of cooking my food now. Turns out the lady who took my order origninally never actually put my order through and this has happened to other customers since. After a extra 20 minutes my food finally arrived and I am missing my chicken curry so I ring back and he tells me the lady never put the chicken curry down in first place so had to wait another 20 minutes for my curry then they charged me. When it for here everything else was cold. And the man was extremely rude. Miss the old owners if I'm honest!
